During this season for volleyball, Rutgers has had one night of evidence about its sustained success. Friday was about whether it could be the same team twice. Saturday asked something harder, whether Rutgers needed to be the same team at all.
Skylar George and Imani Howell, who between them played every set of Friday's win over Delaware, did not play. Karis Willow came off the bench. Zharia Harris-Waddy, Avery Jesewitz and Jenna DeLaMater started, and Addison Wiemann and Kami Dyrstad got a set.
Saturday night was the best one.
Rutgers swept Rider 25-20, 25-18, 25-15 in an hour and a half in front of 707, hit .378 as a team and held the Broncs to .165. Thursday's sweep of Stony Brook came at .301. Friday's four-set win over Delaware came at .193. Saturday was the cleanest attacking night of the weekend by a distance, and it came with the fewest familiar names on the floor.
The first set was the only competitive one, and it stopped being competitive in a hurry. There were six ties and two lead changes, all of them inside the first 14 points. The last tie came at 7-7. Willow, subbed in, served the next four points and won three of them, back-to-back aces on Rylah Robinson and Maisie Nawrocki, then a set Katie Cook could not run, and Rutgers led 10-7.

While filming Practical Magic 2, Williams, 29, and the fellow Owens women got an invitation to Sandra Bullock's house, where their bonding session included a dip in the hot tub, a raid of the fridge and some quality time hanging out on the sofa.

The cast of "Practical Magic 2" continued their witchy style streak at the film's Los Angeles premiere held at the Directors Village on Monday night. Nicole Kidman debuted couturier Pieter Mulier's inaugural design for Atelier Versace, Sandra Bullock opted for Louis Vuitton and more designer pieces hit the event.
Mulier, who left Alaïa for Versace in January 2026, created a dress for Kidman that merged the method dressing witchy style cues of her previous looks for the film, and also teased his vision for the Italian luxury fashion house. Though "The Hours" Oscar-winner certainly led the high-fashion brigade alongside Bullock, young stars Maisie Williams and Joey King conjured their own respective style statements. Patient fans have been waiting nearly three decades for a follow-up to "Practical Magic." Based on a best-selling book by Alice Hoffman, the 1998 fantasy rom-com starred Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock as witch sisters, trying to dispel a curse that threatens their love lives. Now the wait is almost over, as "Practical Magic 2" is set to release in September 2026. The stars have been promoting the film in recent weeks, and we're wondering if they used a little magic of their own for their enchanting beauty.
Appearing in London for the European premiere of the sequel on August 26, 2026, Kidman, doing better than ever since her recent divorce from Keith Urban, stunned in a custom sequin Chanel gown that flattered her height and figure. Bullock also defied the outdated "wisdom" that women over 40 should dress demurely; her leopard-print Givenchy number was anything but sedate. Both actresses' dresses also featured high slits to better show off their legs.

Style-wise, the women easily outshone their Gen Z costars as they posed for press photos. Joey King and Maisie Williams play Bullock's adult daughters, Kylie and Antonia Owens. Williams paid homage to a red dress Bullock wore in 1999; her Ellie Misner gown was gorgeous, but perhaps just a bit aging on a young woman. King went the daring route with an ultra-sheer floor-length dress that seemed more sleepwear than red-carpet.

We've established the patterns of this press tour pretty quickly. Maisie Williams looks set to continue paying homage to Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman is staying loyal to Chanel, and Joey appears committed to Miu Miu – specifically, see-through Miu Miu.
Because much like last night, Joey really wants us to see her underwear, and that was achieved once again with this lace Miu Miu top and skirt from the Spring 2026 collection.
There are elements I prefer here compared to the runway. Removing the layers at the neckline and waist gives the lace more room to register, while the floor-length skirt works better for a the mood of this photocall. But even with those changes, I'm still missing Joey's old style.

The 27-year-old actress embraced the "naked dress" trend in a romantic ****** er yellow creation as she joined co-stars Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman and Maisie Williams at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on August 26.
Joey's custom Miu Miu gown was crafted from almost entirely sheer fabric, revealing a matching ****** er yellow bra and briefs underneath. Delicate floral appliqués were scattered across the floor-length design, while its plunging neckline and barely-there spaghetti straps added to the ethereal feel.
She finished the look with coordinating Miu Miu pumps and wore her newly red hair in soft waves, with understated makeup allowing her striking dress to take centre stage.
