Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan had six receptions for 58 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. He was targeted a team-high 11 times in the loss.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: With Bryce Young under duress on Thursday night, the passing game was primarily quick hitters with the hope that the wideouts could break a tackle or two and make a big play. It rarely worked out that way, however, and as a result McMillan averaged just 9.7 yards per catch. It was his third largely disappointing performance in his last five games and second in a row. We all saw what this passing attack could look like early this season, so McMillan's upside remains substantial, but the Panthers need to figure out a way to keep Young upright so he can take more downfield shots. While it's too soon to downgrade McMillan below WR2 status, his recent production has not been on that level.

The Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers are trading touchdowns on Thursday Night Football. Carolina currently has a 10-6 lead after scoring a field goal on their first drive and a touchdown on their second, while the Packers scored on their second offensive drive.
Green Bay's touchdown was on an eight-play, 56-yard drive that ended in a 12-yard touchdown to tight end Tucker Kraft. However, the extra point was no good as kicker Tyler Smack doinked it on the left upright.
Here is a look at Kraft's touchdown, courtesy of the NFL's official social media:
On the ensuing drive, Carolina responded with a 13-play drive that went 65 yards and lasted over five minutes. They do third-down conversions and a fourth-down conversion to keep the drive going. It ended in a six-yard touchdown run from running back Chuba Hubbard, which giave the Panthers he 10-6 lead.

The Packers stuck with kicker Trey Smack after his misses from 26 and 35 in a 20-17 loss to the Lions last week. It's looking like a bad decision.
The sixth-round rookie hit the left upright on a PAT try with 5:08 remaining in the first quarter, his third missed extra point of the season. He has now missed eight kicks.
The Packers lead the Panthers 6-3.
Packers wide receiver Coleman Owen fumbled the opening kickoff, and linebacker Nick Hampton recovered for the Panthers. Carolina gained only 8 yards in the drive before Ryan Fitzgerald kicked a 39-yard field goal.
The Packers took the lead on their second possession, with Jordan Love hitting Tucker Kraft for a 12-yard score.

WEST HAVEN – Cheshire senior kicker Tim Reinhard was feeling good in warm-ups, drilling kicks through the uprights from 50 yards away. Reinhard felt he would get his opportunity during the game.
Reinhard came through, capping a furious second half rally by the Rams, when he nailed a 44-yard field goal with 1 minute, 55 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to lift Cheshire football to a 15-13 victory over West Haven in a Southern Connecticut Conference contest at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven Friday evening.
"I'm so grateful to have a team to put me in a position to go help win a game," Reinhard said. "Nothing is possible without my team helping me."
After trailing 13-0 at the half and accumulating less than 20 yards of offense in the first half, Cheshire turned the game around in the third quarter by taking advantage of two West Haven miscues.
On West Haven's first offensive snap of the third quarter, the ball sailed out of the end zone for a Cheshire safety. The Rams then marched 44 yards in six plays and got within 13-10 on a Michael Chopak 15-yard touchdown run, and the conversion run by Shane Jerome.

The Virginia Cavaliers did not mess around on Friday night, taking care of Norfolk State, 59-3. As expected, the 'Hoos overmatched the Spartans for 60 minutes, allowing all sorts of reserves to get live reps in the second half.
Three different UVA quarterbacks threw touchdown passes. Beau Pribula, who played the first two quarters, was once again ultra efficient, throwing for 162 yards on 12-of-14 passing with three touchdowns. Of note, Pribula did not have a single designed rushing attempt; offensive coordinator Des Kitchings chose to keep him upright and allow him to sling the rock from the pocket instead.
Backups Eli Holstein and Cole Geer ultimately had limited passing attempts, but both had one impressive throw to build on. Holstein opened the second half with a beautiful goal line fade to Ty'Lyric Coleman in the back corner of the end zone, while Geer found high school teammate Williem Thurber on a tight window up the seam for 28 yards in the fourth.
At the skill positions, wide receiver Jacquon Gibson got himself on the board with two touchdown catches from Pribula, after failing to reach the end zone a single time with UMass in 2025. Meanwhile, sophomore Xay Davis showcased his burst out of the backfield, totaling 107 ticks on 13 attempts.
On the defensive end, Kam Robinson made his way back to the field (in a limited capacity), a welcomed sight for the Cavalier faithful. The first-team secondary looked particularly strong, with Brandyn Hillman hauling in his second and third interceptions of the season, and Jacobie Henderson displaying some playmaking ability of his own. Sophomore linebacker Justin Rowe added a pick six in the final minutes for good measure.

Third quarter, down 10-0: "Well, it's not like 2025 started that great, either."
Fourth quarter, as Drake Maye lofts the illest-advised pass of his career to your new favorite player, Joshua Jobe, Esq.: "Knew it. They had it all the way."
With a season-opening 13-10 rope-a-doping of Maye and his New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks began their Super Bowl defense the right way. The confounding questions surrounding the secondary were answered with three picks in the final frame, and the thorniest question about depth was answered when Drew Lock essentially saved the day in relief of Sam Darnold.
Yes, it took Seattle three nigh-unwatchable quarters to get the bugs out. But once that fumigation was done, we were treated to an evening of fun-igation, punctuated with everything a championship team does when it's not quite ready to relinquish its **** le. Including having a kicker who knocks 'em through the uprights. Did I mention they answered just about all the preseason questions we had?
But first, as is their modus operandi, the Hawks had to torture us like 53 grown versions of Sid Phillips, or maybe the pigeons from that old Bud Light commercial, you know, the ones who see **** targets on every car. Yes that's it, felt like **** targets. Every time something cool happened, something stinky hit the fan and made you guano tear your hair out.

A fight near the end of third quarter in Saturday night's high school football game between Mililani (HI) and Foothill (NV) resulted in the game being called early.
The game was called with 3:51 remaining in the third quarter on Sept. 5.
Mililani, the No. 13 team in the USA TODAY Sports Super 15 West rankings entering the week, had just scored a touchdown on an 8-yard run by Makakoa West. The visiting team attempted the point after attempt and as the kick went through the uprights, punches were thrown.
The scrum started as a minor skirmish near the line between a few players and quickly boiled over to multiple players throwing punches, being shoved and helmets taken off.
The fight was mainly limited to the field with a handful of Mililani players rushing onto the field as nearly every Foothill player remained on their sideline. Coaches from both sides rushed onto the field to quickly break the fight up.

Many parents eventually run into the same uncomfortable math.
The money you put aside for a child does the most work in the years when you have the least of it to spare. Time is the ****** et. Cash is the constraint.
A dollar deposited in a baby's first year outruns several dollars deposited in that child's teens. Almost ****** ody manages it, because the first year of a child's life is also the most expensive one you have had so far.
Workplace benefits were never really built to solve that problem. Your 401(k) match helps you. Your health plan keeps your family upright. Your flexible spending account gets raided by December.
Very little in a standard benefits package puts money into an account that belongs to your child, sits in an index fund, and does not get touched for 18 years.

Lionel Messi is unstoppable. The Inter Miami star once again had a night to remember on Saturday, scoring four goals as the Herons thrashed CF Montréal 7-1.
With the haul, Messi hit 17 goals on the season, a number that pulls him to a lead in the MLS Golden Boot race. The Inter Miami captain tied and then passed FC Dallas forward Petar Musa for the sole spot at the top of the scoring standings.
Two of Messi's goals came off free kicks, one of the veteran forward's specialties. Messi pulled Miami back into the lead in the 40th minute with a curving shot that was mishandled by the Montéal defense.
Early in the second half, Messi found the back of the net again, staying upright through traffic before sending in a powerful shot.
In the 83rd minute, Messi timed a chip past Montréal goalkeeper Thomas Gillier, who surged to meet the captain but didn't get there in time.

Luciano Spalletti insists Juventus put in 'a great performance' for the 2-0 victory over Parma, despite jeers and criticism from fans and media, but admits they need a new midfielder.
The Bianconeri had a frustrating first half and were jeered by the crowd, particularly Jonathan David after his substitution, but the changes off the bench proved pivotal.
Nico Gonzalez celebrates his goal for Juventus against Parma (seriea_en)
Specifically, Nico Gonzalez made an immediate impact by forcing a save, hitting the upright and then scoring on the rebound, while his high press also created the circumstances for another substitute to score late on in Teun Koopmeiners.
Spalletti had only said yesterday in his press conference that Nico Gonzalez was a player who always delivers wherever you put him, and that proved prescient.

A dramatic sporting moment frozen in time 70 years ago remains as popular as ever with football fans, and even inspired a statue.
One of the finest players of his era - Tom Finney of Preston North End - was photographed during a deluge at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge in August 1956.
Like a water-skier cutting through the wake of a speedboat, Finney somehow manages to stay upright and in control.
These days, there is little doubt that top-flight referees facing similar conditions would abandon the match.
But in August 1956, the Football League first division game - the equivalent of the Premier League - continued and the players were expected to roll their sleeves up and get on with it.

The Jacksonville Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence appeared just once in Dan Orlovsky's ranking of NFL quarterbacks by traits.
Highlighting seven different quarterback traits -- arm strength, ball placement, mechanics, decision-making, pocket presence, second-reaction creativity and rushing ability -- Orlovsky ranked the top 10 quarterbacks in each category.
Lawrence's lone top 10 appearance came in the pocket presence category, coming in at No. 10, highlighting his ability to feel pressure, stay upright, and maneuver around the pocket as needed.
Despite Lawrence only making the top 10 once, he was mentioned by Orlovsky in four other categories as a player who was just one on the outside looking in, including arm strength.
"The one quarterback I really wanted to get into the top 10 was Trevor Lawrence," Orlovsky wrote. "He also has some underrated arm talent and makes difficult throws look easy."

Utah endurance cyclist Matthew Lefthand spent 10 nights in an altitude tent — an enclosed canopy over his bed which lowers oxygen levels to simulate high-altitude environments — before attempting to become the fastest rider ever to cover 200 miles on a standard upright bicycle.
But that was only one aspect of his meticulous preparation that included months of aerodynamic testing, equipment optimization, nutritions strategies and training to sustain roughly 200 grams of carbohydrates per hour during the effort.
Lefthand rides at about 4,400 feet elevation near his South Ogden home, but traveled to Colorado late last month for the record attempt at 7,700 feet, where there is less air resistance.

Liam Thompson threw seven touchdown passes, including the winning score in overtime, to lead the Green Bay Blizzard past the Tulsa Oilers 67-60 and into the Indoor Football League championship game.
The Blizzard rallied to force overtime on a game-tying field goal by Andrew Mevis that hit the wire before deflecting through the uprights on the final play of the fourth quarter.
The victory gives Green Bay the Eastern Conference championship for the second straight season. The Blizzard lost to the Vegas Knight Hawks in last year's IFL championship game.
Tulsa nearly completed the upset as Oilers quarterback TJ Edwards II threw four TD passes and ran for two more scores. The Oilers took a 60-57 lead with 1:01 left on Caleb Ramseur's second rushing touchdown of the game.
The Blizzard then methodically worked the clock before settling for the tying field goal from Mevis to force OT.

Washington Commanders star tackle Laremy Tunsil will miss "at least a significant portion of the regular season" with a torn triceps suffered in Saturday's practice, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Steve Wyche.
Tunsil injured his triceps during a one-on-one pass-rush drill, per Garafolo and Wyche. The duo confirmed that he will likely need surgery, which would necessitate him sitting for most of the regular season.
This is a huge blow to the Commanders, who must now replace one of the best left tackles in the NFL for the long haul to keep quarterback Jayden Daniels upright during a hoped-for rebound season in D.C.
It's unfortunately possible depending on how his recovery goes.
The team could move Josh Conerly Jr. over to the left side and put in Andrew Wylie in at right tackle, play Wylie at left tackle or look for a new tackle via free agency or a trade.

PFL Charlotte sent fans home sleepy on Friday night.
Making his sophomore appearance in the promotion, Charlotte's own Bryan Battle entered the cage to take on Dalton Rosta. The middleweight main event ended somewhat controversially, as the hometown middleweight Battle (13-3, 1 NC) came out the victor via a lackluster split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
Rosta (11-4) started the early goings of the bout with some strong leg kicks early, chopping at Battle's upright stance. That appeared to be a great recipe for success until it was entirely abandoned for a big Rosta body-lock takedown. Control didn't last for Rosta, as Battle defended well, pushing down Rosta's hands as he stood and walked around the cage wall. That was effectively where the rest of the round was spent until the 30-second mark. Some strikes were attempted between the two, leading to a failed late Battle double leg.
The second frame saw Battle get more aggressive, seeking long punches until Rosta worked his legs with kicks again. Those shots forced Battle to switch stance, and allowed Rosta to pursue another takedown. The remainder of the round was largely "highlighted" with more wall control exchanges and minimal strikes interjected.
Round 3 saw Battle tied up within the first minute to land some elbows and punches against the cage. Rosta started to land some punches at range once separated, and it was right back to failed takedown attempts and cage control in arguably the most forgettable fight of the year.

A much-changed Milan crumbled 3-0 to Chelsea, as Joao Pedro scored twice before a Moises Caicedo volley and Italy international Marco Palestra impressed on the left.
Following the 1-1 draw with Inter, the Rossoneri made changes with Rafael Leao and Luka Modric making their first starts of the summer, as Mario Gila, Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez were injured. Chelsea lost 1-0 to Juventus, but surprised by shifting Italy international Palestra over to left-back in Jakarta.
Koni De Winter's early error allowed Joao Pedro to go clear on a long ball, forcing Lorenzo Torriani into a tricky save, then Danny Welbeck thumped the upright from a Palestra ******* ist.

Christian Comotto's volley was charged down and Pedro Neto tested Torriani before ballooning over from another Palestra pass.

A soft Christopher Nkunku penalty cancelled out the Federico Dimarco opener, as Inter and Milan drew 1-1 in a pre-season friendly in Perth.
There were several initiatives before kick-off to remember iconic Rossoneri captain Franco Baresi, including a minute's silence with all the players united around his jersey, and the Milan players wearing his Number 6 shirt. Play also halted at the sixth minute for a further moment of remembrance.

Francesco Camarda and Davide Bartesaghi both somehow failed to get the crucial touch on a Samuel Chukwueze cross at the back post, then Yunus Musah fired into the upright of a practically open goal on the Ruben Loftus-Cheek pull-back.
Francesco Pio Esposito's acrobatic volley forced a tricky save, as did Piotr Zielinski's flick from 12 yards.

Call it a B-spec, call it a heavily revised AMR26, call it whatever you want – what Aston Martin rolled out at the Hungaroring for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix is, by any reasonable engineering standard, a new Formula 1 car. Sixteen separate components were declared upgraded, mechanics broke FIA curfew to get both cars fitted in time, and the team reportedly flew spare parts to Budapest just to guarantee Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll could each run the full package. That is not a development update. That is a rebuild.
The backstory is by now well-documented and not particularly flattering. Adrian Newey didn't get serious work underway on the AMR26 until mid-March 2025, and the wind tunnel didn't see a model until mid-April – three months behind rivals who were already deep into the new regulatory cycle. The car that arrived at pre-season testing in Barcelona was overweight, paddock insiders estimated by somewhere between 10 and 15 kilograms, maybe more, and the Honda power unit was generating vibrations severe enough to rattle onboard cameras loose and leave Alonso and Stroll visibly fighting the steering wheel.
At the Australian opener, Alonso qualified 2.462 seconds off the pace. Both cars retired when the vibrations damaged the battery systems. It went largely sideways from there – one point across the opening ten rounds, tenth of eleven teams in the constructors' standings, behind only the expansion Cadillac outfit.
The nose is the clearest sign of how deep the changes go. Where the original AMR26 carried a wide, blunt front structure, the Hungary version features a noticeably thinner, more tapered profile – the kind of slender nose Newey has favoured since his early Red Bull years. That change alone cascades through the entire front end: new uprights, revised aerodynamic ducting, changed actuator mounting, and a completely reworked front wing with reshaped endplates. Per Newey, the forward section of the chassis was lightened to the point that it required a full re-homologation and fresh crash testing – which, depending on your definition, crosses the threshold from upgrade to new car.
Newey himself occupies both sides of that argument simultaneously. "The main structural elements remain the same – the chassis and gearbox architecture don't fundamentally change – but we've taken weight out of both, which required re-homologating and crash testing the forward chassis," he said. So: same architecture, new crash test. Make of that what you will.

DES MOINES — In the Indoor Football League, the math of a touchdown is typically straightforward: six points for the score and one for the kick. But for Andrew Mevis, a touchdown often results in a nine-point swing.
On Saturday, Mevis put that unique arithmetic on display during a 65-21 victory against the Iowa Barnstormers.
By converting on deuces — an IFL rule where a kickoff sent through the uprights earns two points — Mevis added an extra layer of dominance to the Blizzard's approach to game day.
He recorded three deuces in the win, as well as eight PATs and an 18-yard field goal. "It's a lot of fun," Mevis said. "Every touchdown we do that, we get nine [points total], so it's pretty sweet."
The victory pushed the Green Bay Blizzard to a 13-2 record, officially locking them in as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the playoffs. It also solidified Mevis's position as the league's premier scoring threat; through 15 games, he leads the IFL with 153 total points, 92 successful PATs and 11 field goals. While Mevis is currently a focal point of the league's top-seeded team, his path to the professional ranks began a decade ago on the high school fields of Indiana.

With training camp only two weeks away, we're counting down the days until players are back on the field getting ready for the 2026 season. Warren McClendon Jr. is a key player to watch this year, entering Week 1 as a projected starter for the first time in his career.
After a successful stint filling in for Rob Havenstein last season, McClendon will be a cog in the offensive line this year. He'll be responsible for blocking the front side at right tackle, keeping Matthew Stafford upright and creating big holes for both Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.
McClendon enters the year as the Rams' 14th-most important player in our 2026 rankings.
Puka Nacua, Byron Young and Kobie Turner get all of the attention as the headliners from the Rams' 2023 draft class, but McClendon was also part of that group – and he was actually drafted three spots earlier than Nacua, so Los Angeles felt more strongly about him and than the former BYU receiver.
As the 174th overall pick in the fifth round, McClendon took his talents from Georgia to Los Angeles and though he was a backup for his first two seasons, he became a starter in 2025 after Havenstein got hurt.

When the Jays dumped Trevor Richards on the Twins at the 2024 deadline, the return was an infielder who’d signed a way under slot deal in the sixth round of the previous year’s draft out of the decided non-baseball hotbed of Penn State University by the name of Jay Harry. Baseball America ranked him 426th among draft eligible prospects that year and promptly never wrote about him again. After the trade, Fangraphs’ rated him the 87th best prospect dealt at the deadline and described his likely peak as “a utility guy for a weak Double-A team.” Which is harsh, perhaps, but looked about right as his OPS last season, split between A+ and AA, started with a five.
I’m writing about him here, so you can guess that things have improved. And indeed they have, to the tune of a .327/.368/.591 line split between New Hampshire and Buffalo that makes Harry one of the best 40 or so hitters in the upper minors this season.
So what’s happened here? Harry was an ultra-contact-oriented hitter in college, with a swing geared just to try to poke line drives through the infield. You can see that approach carry over to his first taste of pro ball after the draft, where he struck out just 6.8% of the time in A ball but failed to generate much impact. His contact rate dropped, though, from 85% that season to 76% during his time with the Twins organization in 2024 and then 71% after his trade to the Blue Jays. At the same time he showed a little bit of game power, going from 1 home run in 129 PA in his draft season to 12 in 448 in ‘24. Last year he seems to have been caught in between, bringing his contact back to 77% but losing almost all of his impact. In 2026, his contact rate remains at 77%, but all of the power production has returned and then some. Normally with a left in New Hampshire, you can write some power jumps off as the product of park factors, but a) he was awful in the same park last season, and b) he’s hit even better since moving up to Buffalo.
On video, you can see his swing change a little over the course of the last three years, going from a very upright setup with almost no hand load and the bat starting upright in 2024 to a bit deeper of a load and more angle in 2025. His 2026 swing is back closer to 2024, very upright and with his hands starting out front to give him a super short path to the ball. These are all subtle differences, though, and I don’t see evidence that he’s reinvented his swing.
There are a couple of other changes to note. First, he’s just swinging a lot. He’s always been aggressive, but his 59.5% rate this season is among the highest in the league and would be in the top five in the majors. That’s resulted in a collapse in his walk rate, although without much change in his strikeouts.

George Kittle and Trent Williams crossed paths long before becoming San Francisco 49ers teammates, according to a story Kittle shared on the "New Heights" podcast.
Kittle said his father coached college football and had ties to former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops, which gave a teenage Kittle sideline access to Sooners games — including one featuring a since-loaded Oklahoma offensive line. Kittle remembered being a high school sophomore on the sidelines during the El Paso Sun Bowl alongside Williams and former Oklahoma tight end Jermaine Gresham.
A decade later, the two ended up on the same roster after San Francisco traded for Williams in 2020. Kittle said he brought up the encounter as soon as they met as teammates.
"It was one of the first things I told Trent Williams when we got him in 2020. I was like, 'We hung out like 10 years ago.'"
Williams and Kittle have been two of the biggest anchors for the 49ers top-flight offense during Kyle Shanahan's time as head coach. Kittle is one of the best overall tight ends in the NFL as both a blocker and receiver, while Williams has kept 49ers quarterbacks upright during him time with the team and remained a staple of the offensive line.

There was a familiar sight at the KSCA Hubli Cricket Ground on Wednesday. As Samit Dravid made his way to the crease for Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2026, it took only a few deliveries for social media to draw comparisons with one of Indian cricket's greatest batters.
The trigger movement, upright stance, high left elbow and compact backlift instantly evoked memories of his father, Rahul Dravid. For many fans watching, it was as if "The Wall" had returned to the crease.
Samit arrived under difficult circumstances after the Blasters lost two wickets inside the opening eight deliveries. Rather than panic, the young batter played with composure, scoring 32 from 23 ******* to steady the innings before departing.
His contribution proved crucial as Rohan Patil struck 64 and Praveen Dubey added 51 to guide Bengaluru Blasters to 203/7. Hubli Tigers mounted a spirited chase led by Manvanth ******* ar's explosive 60 but eventually fell short by just two runs.
Although Samit's innings featured six boundaries, it was his technique that became the biggest talking point. His crisp square cuts, fluent cover drives, controlled pull shots and balanced footwork bore an uncanny resemblance to Rahul Dravid's trademark style, prompting fans online to describe him as a "photocopy" of the former India captain.
Given his upbringing, those comparisons are hardly unexpected. Having grown up in Karnataka's cricketing system under the guidance of one of the game's finest technicians, Samit naturally developed many of the batting fundamentals that made his father a legend.
Despite the similarities, however, the youngster is shaping a career with a different skill set.
Where Rahul built his legacy as one of the greatest specialist batters in cricket history, Samit has emerged as a genuine pace-bowling all-rounder. Alongside his middle-order batting, he offers medium pace and has already made a strong impression in age-group cricket.
He played a pivotal role in Karnataka's victorious 2023-24 Cooch Behar Trophy campaign, accumulating 362 runs while also claiming 16 wickets. One of the standout performances of that tournament came in the form of a crucial 98 against Jammu and Kashmir.
Those performances earned him selection for India's Under-19 squad for the home series against Australia in 2024. However, a knee injury cut short that opportunity. Since recovering, Samit has resumed his progress and continues to strengthen his credentials through consistent domestic performances with both bat and ball.
The Dravid family's next generation does not end there.
Rahul Dravid's younger son, Anvay Dravid, is also beginning to establish himself on the national stage. Unlike Samit, Anvay is a wicketkeeper-batter, following a role similar to the one his father performed during much of his international career.
The 17-year-old was recently named in India's Under-19 squad for the tour of Sri Lanka, which begins on July 14.

Carlo Ancelotti made a key change to Brazil's starting World Cup line up on Friday, and the man he entrusted has made a massive difference.
Manchester United star Matheus Cunha wears the no. 9 for his country and scored not once but twice, with both Ronaldo and Ronaldinho watching on.
Cunha first was in the right place at the right time to bundle home the ball for the opener after Vinicius' shot was initially saved.
He then turned on the heat by running diagonally between two central defenders on the left, and struck the ball into the upright corner for 2-0 before half-time.

Mars is full of surprises, but this one had scientists leaning closer to their multi-monitor arrays: a rock, about 31 inches across, sitting alone in a field of fractured bedrock in a region called Vernodden, that looked like it came from somewhere far beyond the red planet’s own backyard.
NASA’s Perseverance rover spotted the oddity in early September while surveying the terrain as part of the Mars 2020 mission. The team gave the formation a name: Phippsaksla.
