Pakistan's successful Caribbean campaign has brought a significant boost in the latest ICC Men's Test Player Rankings, with captain Babar Azam returning to the top 10 while Abdullah Shafique and Sajid Khan also made notable gains. Babar's rise comes after Pakistan secured an eight-wicket victory over the West Indies in Port of Spain to level the two-match World Test Championship series 1-1. The right-handed batter played a crucial role in the win, scoring 88 in the first innings before remaining unbeaten on 24 during the chase.

The performance saw Babar climb five places to No. 10 in the Test batting rankings, marking his return to the elite top 10 for the first time since September 2024. Babar had spent five consecutive years inside the top 10 before dropping out of the group. He reached a career-high ranking of No. 2 in December 2022.
Babar's return to the top 10 provides a timely boost for Pakistan ahead of their upcoming Test ***** ignment against England. Abdullah Shafique and Sajid Khan also benefited from Pakistan's performance in the Caribbean, making notable movements in the latest rankings.

At the top of the Test batting rankings, Australia's Travis Head continues to hold the No. 1 position, while India's Jasprit ***** rah remains the leading Test bowler. Ravindra Jadeja continues to occupy the No. 1 spot in the Test all-rounders' rankings.
Pakistan have received another boost ahead of the England series, with experienced batter Shan Masood returning to training with the squad at Beckenham on Tuesday. Masood had sustained a finger injury during the opening Test against the West Indies in the Caribbean and subsequently missed the second match. Pakistan went on to register an eight-wicket victory in Port of Spain, securing their first away Test win in three years.

His return to training has raised hopes that Masood could be available for the opening Test against England in Leeds, which begins on August 19.

Everton appear increasingly minded to keep Adam Aznou in David Moyes' plans for the 2026/27 season, after an encouraging summer from the young left-back. According to TeamTalk, the current picture points towards the Morocco international remaining on Merseyside rather than heading out on loan.
There is a growing sense that Aznou has used pre-season exactly as he needed to. After a difficult first year following his move from Bayern Munich for around £8million, the 20-year-old has responded with the kind of performances that force internal discussion. The key detail is clear, Everton "have not informed the Moroccan international of any plans to send him out on loan as of yet", and "as things stand, the Toffees intend to retain him as part of David Moyes' squad for 2026/27."
Photo: IMAGO
Aznou's debut campaign brought only one senior appearance, so this summer has carried added significance. By all accounts, he has impressed with "attacking intent and defensive solidity in pre-season", showing the balance required from a modern full-back. Those close to the situation believe Moyes sees him as "a useful option within the current group", which matters at a club trying to build depth and reliability across the back line.
There is also encouragement in the longer-term view. Everton hold "huge belief in his potential", and that belief seems to be shaping the current decision. Rather than rushing him into a temporary move elsewhere, the club look prepared to ******* s whether regular involvement can now come under Moyes directly.

Romell Glave emerged from winning the 100m final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham wearing a gold costume crown and declared "now is my time to dominate".
The 26-year-old Jamaica-born sprinter, who moved to Croydon as a teen and fractured his back twice in the last six years, spending "the whole of 2022" in a brace, made it a British one-two with Welshman Jeremiah Azu taking silver on the second night of the championships.
Like compatriot Amy Hunt, who won the women's 100m on opening night, Glave was a prodigal teen – nine years ago even holding the honour of being the world's fastest 17-year-old – and it took 10.09 seconds to silence any of his remaining doubters.
"At the start of the season my main objective was to be the king of Europe," said Glave, the bronze medallist at the last European championships in 2024.
"I'm a different athlete now, my mindset is to that elite level. I wanted to win this European championship. I was able to do that today, so it's an amazing feeling.

During the August 6 episode of Mad Money, Jim Cramer focused on the shifting trajectory of Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AKAM), as he said:
Look at this incredible move in the stock of Akamai Technologies. Over the past few years, this company's evolved from a simple content delivery network- I used to call it the fast lane on the internet superhighway- into more of a cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure business, fast growing. Going into the close, Akamai was already up more than 35% for the year. Then they reported basically in-line revenue, slightly better-than-expected earnings, mixed outlook, current quarter trimmed, full-year forecast down just a tad. Initially, the stock got slammed, but then it caught fire, I think, because Akamai reported a big cloud infrastructure win in the robotic ***** e.
Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AKAM) reported second-quarter revenue of $1.1 billion, marking a 5% year-over-year increase. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share reached $1.59, beating consensus estimates, while GAAP diluted earnings per share landed at $0.52 due to rising investment expenses. Segment results showed security revenue climbing 10% to $604 million and cloud infrastructure services surging 39% to $99 million. Meanwhile, legacy delivery revenue contracted 6% to $396 million.
Investor attention quickly shifted to a multi-year customer commitment valued over $600 million for cloud infrastructure powering robotic workloads. During the earnings call, Chief Executive Officer Tom Leighton noted that graphics processing unit capacity remains entirely sold out, while Chief Financial Officer Ed McGowan highlighted that total multi-year cloud commitments signed year-to-date have surpassed $2.8 billion. Management guided full-year revenue between $4.445 billion and $4.530 billion, with capital expenditures remaining elevated at roughly 40% of revenue to support infrastructure scaling.
Despite artificial intelligence growth tailwinds, professional ***** ysts flagged heavy capital intensity and margin compression risks. Highlighting these structural cost pressures, on August 10, HSBC downgraded the stock to a Hold rating and cut its price target to $123, pointing to compressed operating margins and temporary pauses in share repurchases.

The Indiana Fever are in excellent form during the business end of the WNBA season. Caitlin Clark thinks their August games will only help make the team better.
The Indiana Fever enjoyed a statement win against the New York Liberty on Tuesday. Thanks to another excellent performance by their 'Big 3', they won comfortably with a 106-92 scoreline.
The win pushes their record to 21-12. The Fever have won seven of their last 10 games, too. Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell have been making WNBA history with their performances.
Despite all their recent success, though, the team remains focused on the games to come. Following their latest victory, Clark spoke about the team's six remaining games in August.

US-based investment company McIntyre Partnerships delivered flat performance in H1 2026, returning 0% gross and -1% net compared to the Russell 2000 Value Index's 23% return. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The second quarter results were a complete reversal of Q1 results, with the portfolio appreciating 23.0% (gross) and 23.3% (net), outperforming the index's 17.3%. The overall market surge contributed to this performance, alongside several positive developments related to the firm's holdings. Since inception, the fund has returned ~16% gross and ~12% net per annum, surpassing the benchmark's return of ~9% per annum. The portfolio is highly concentrated, with QDEL as the largest holding, creating volatility. Despite mixed results, the firm remains confident in the portfolio, particularly with QDEL viewed as a key investment opportunity. Potential for further growth is expected from several large investments with promising catalysts. In addition, you can check the Strategy's top 5 holdings to determine its best picks for 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, McIntyre Partnerships highlighted Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO). Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) is a real estate company that engages in non-ground lease-related businesses. On August 7, 2026, Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) closed at $9.64 per share. The one-month return of Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) was 5.47%, and its shares gained 32.97% over the past 52 weeks. Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) has a market capitalization of $116.54 million.
McIntyre Partnerships stated the following regarding Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"2026 has been a decent year for Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO), with shares rallying ~14% YTD. However, it has been a substantially better fundamental year, with SAFE rallying ~20%. For perspective, based solely on SAFE's share price appreciation, STHO would have appreciated approximately 36%. Further, STHO has made significant progress in unwinding its legacy holdings. I estimate STHO's current NAV is ~$24.50, a 160% premium, and that the company will be able to return significant capital in 2027, if not sooner.
Regarding SAFE, Q2 marked STHO's best fundamental performance since we began purchasing STHO, with origination volumes returning to a four-year high and the company implementing its first share buyback, retiring ~2% of shares outstanding. Most importantly, SAFE sold a portfolio at a ~4.1% cap rate, which compares favorably to SAFE's current implied cap rate of ~5.3%. Applying a 4.1% cap rate, SAFE would be valued at $37/sh. versus its $16 trading price. While the remaining properties could warrant a lower multiple, if SAFE were to close its valuation gap, our STHO investment would benefit substantially."

In its Q2 2026 investor letter, McIntyre Partnerships highlighted Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC). Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) is a US-based company that provides sterilization solutions, lab testing, and advisory services for the healthcare industry. On August 7, 2026, Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) closed at $18.86 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $5.38 billion. Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) posted a one-month return of 5.04%, while its shares gained 25.61% over the past 52 weeks.
McIntyre Partnerships stated the following regarding Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) saw positive Q1 results, with the key Sterigenics segment continuing its return to HSD organic growth following the COVID destocking in 2023 and 2024. Further, SHC also had positive legal news regarding its Georgia litigation, where the judge threw out 5 lawsuits with reasoning that implies the remaining 450 cases are likely to be rejected as well. While I believe the judge's ruling implies current liability is sub-$50MM, I estimate a worst-case $400k per case settlement, or $180MM, even if appeals reverse the decision. This compares to SHC's 2026 EBITDA of ~$640MM. The company also saw a CEO transition, with its long-time CEO transitioning to Executive Chairman and the hiring of CEO Shader from Viant, a medical device services company where he served as CEO. We are encouraged that former CEO Petras remains on the board and intends to play an active role in ensuring a smooth transition.
Finally, and most importantly, following Q1 earnings, SHC's former private equity owners sold the last of their shares. I believe the PE firms' selling pressure, via predictable quarterly block trades, has been a considerable overhang on SHC's shares over the past year. With this overhang gone, I believe SHC is well positioned to reweight towards peers. I es

Los Angeles Angels interim general manager John Mozeliak explained why the Angels fired three of their pitching coaches Tuesday afternoon.
The Angels fired pitching coach Mike Maddux, bullpen Coach Dom Chiti and ****** istant pitching coach Darryl Scott on Tuesday, ending their one-year contracts a couple of months early. Mozeliak kept things vague in the statement he released following the decision.
"After spending time discussing with [manager Kurt Suzuki] where we are as a coaching staff and where we want to go in the future, we felt it was best to make a change," Angels interim general manager John Mozeliak said, per a statement from the Angels. "With seven weeks remaining, we plan to use this time to evaluate what additional steps are needed to elevate our entire pitching program and best positions for success moving forward."
Ahead of the Angels' second game of a three-game series against the Texas Rangers, though, Mozeliak revealed a key reason for their dismissal. Per MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger, the coaches weren't sufficiently using the available technology.
Interim GM John Mozeliak said the pitching coaches were dismissed after talking with staff and players. They weren't using the technology given to them the way the organization/players wanted.

American Airlines Group Inc. (NASDAQ:AAL) and easyJet plc (LON:EZJ) are facing the same industry-wide challenge: sharply higher fuel costs. Yet their latest earnings suggest they are responding in very different ways. American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) delivered record quarterly revenue as stronger pricing and premium demand offset part of the fuel shock, while easyJet's (LON:EZJ) profits plunged 70% despite continued operational improvements.
The key question for investors is whether American Airlines Group's (NASDAQ:AAL) pricing power or easyJet's (LON:EZJ) fuel-hedging strategy leaves either airline better positioned if elevated fuel costs persist.
The strongest argument in favor of American Airlines Group (NASDAQ:AAL) is the quality of its revenue growth. Total revenue rose 16.3% to a company-record $16.7 billion, while capacity increased only 5.4%. Passenger unit revenue improved across premium and Main Cabin products as well as domestic and every major international region. Premium passenger unit revenue increased 13.4%, Main Cabin passenger unit revenue rose 8.8%, and domestic passenger unit revenue advanced 10.6%. The gap between revenue growth and capacity growth suggests American Airlines Group (NASDAQ:AAL) generated a significant portion of its improvement through stronger pricing and higher revenue per available seat rather than simply flying more aircraft.
The recovery was also broad-based, extending across premium, Main Cabin, domestic, and international markets rather than relying on a single customer segment. That diversification is encouraging because it makes revenue growth less dependent on one area of demand while reinforcing management's strategy of prioritizing higher-value passengers through additional premium seating and fleet upgrades.
easyJet's (LON:EZJ) investment case rests less on pricing power and more on risk management. Although profits came under considerable pressure, non-fuel costs remained broadly in line with expectations, and approximately 72% of the airline's second-half fuel requirements had already been hedged. While management acknowledged that the remaining unhedged fuel exposure leaves the airline vulnerable to additional price increases, the hedge book provides an important buffer against near-term volatility.

The company expects to complete its remaining wind tower orders during the third quarter.

"Once we complete our remaining wind tower orders in Q3, satisfying our contractual obligations, Broadwind will have completed our strategic pivot away from wind," Blashford said.

Adjusted EBITDA improved to $1.6 million, compared with an adjusted EBITDA loss of $1.1 million in the prior-year quarter.

Lazio have become the latest club to show interest in Fabio Miretti, who is now expected to leave Juventus as the Bianconeri look to ensure they have a strong squad by the start of the new campaign.
Miretti is a talented player, but he is not the type of midfielder Luciano Spalletti wants in his team. This has resulted in the Juventus Next Gen graduate struggling for regular minutes at the club and facing an uncertain future in Turin.
The Bianconeri want to ensure he leaves this summer for a good fee rather than remaining at the club and spending much of the season on the bench. Several Serie A clubs have already shown interest in signing him, giving Juventus reason to believe they can find a suitable buyer.
In recent weeks, many clubs have expressed interest in Miretti's signature, while Juventus have kept the door open to his eventual departure as more teams enter the race. The midfielder could now have several options if he leaves the club this summer.
His situation has become increasingly clear as Juventus look to shape their squad around Spalletti's preferences. Although Miretti remains a talented player, the lack of regular opportunities could make a transfer the best option for both the midfielder and the Bianconeri.

TCU football is moving closer to its 2026 season opener against North Carolina in Dublin, Ireland on Aug. 29. As the Countdown to Kickoff continues, we'll highlight a former Horned Frog whose jersey number coincided with the number of days remaining until the opener. At No. 18 is former TCU wide receiver Jack Bech!
A transfer from LSU, Bech played sparingly in 2023 and became TCU's No. 1 receiver during the 2024 season. At the time of his departure, Bech became the fifth player in program history to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards during a single season. He finished the 2024 season with 62 catches for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns and averaged 16.8 yards per reception. He was named a semifinalist for both the Biletnikoff Award and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award as well as a Second-Team All-Big 12 recipient and a Phil Steele All-American Honorable Mention.
Bech, who played in 20 games over his two seasons in Fort Worth, was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Bech made 16 appearances during his rookie season, catching 20 passes for 224 yards and averaging 11.2 yards per catch. Prior to TCU, Bech played two seasons at LSU. He led the Tigers in receptions (43) and posted 489 receiving yards and three touchdowns as a true freshman in 2021.

Taylor Swift's love life has fascinated fans for years, becoming almost as widely discussed as her record-breaking music career. From fellow musicians to acclaimed actors and professional athletes, the global superstar has been linked to some of entertainment's biggest names. While her relationships have often inspired headlines—and occasionally hit songs—they have also fueled endless public curiosity about the people who have shared her journey.
Over the years, Swift has been romantically connected to celebrities including Joe Jonas, Calvin Harris, Harry Styles, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Hiddleston, and Alexander Skarsgård. Among her most significant relationships was her romance with British actor Joe Alwyn. Beginning in 2016, the pair kept their relationship remarkably private despite Swift's worldwide fame. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they quarantined together and even collaborated on several songs, with Alwyn receiving songwriting credits on award-winning tracks. After six years together, however, the couple quietly ended their relationship in 2023.
Following a brief romance with Matty Healy, frontman of the British band The 1975, Swift's personal life took another unexpected turn when she began dating NFL superstar Travis Kelce. Their relationship quickly became one of the most talked-about celebrity romances in the world, blending two massive fan bases from music and professional sports. Swift regularly attended Kansas City Chiefs games to support Kelce, while the tight end traveled internationally to watch performances on her record-breaking Eras Tour. Their mutual support and public appearances made them one of entertainment's most recognizable power couples.
The relationship reached a new milestone when the couple became engaged in August 2025. Less than a year later, in July 2026, they reportedly celebrated their wedding at New York City's iconic Madison Square Garden. The ceremony was conducted under extraordinary security measures, including extensive street closures, private security teams, and a guest list filled with celebrities from music, film, sports, and television. Despite the intense public interest surrounding the event, organizers worked carefully to maintain the couple's privacy throughout the celebration.
Taylor Swift's relationships have always attracted enormous media attention, but her romance with Travis Kelce has become one of the defining celebrity stories of recent years. Combining the worlds of global pop music and professional football, the pair have demonstrated how two high-profile careers can support one another while remaining at the center of worldwide attention. Whether through music, sports, or their shared public appearances, Swift and Kelce continue to captivate fans across the globe.

Angel Reese closes in on major WNBA record after historic Dream performance originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Angel Reese has not needed much time to leave her mark on the Atlanta Dream's record book. Now, one of the biggest single-season records in WNBA history is within her reach.
Reese recorded 20 points and 14 rebounds in Atlanta's 107-95 victory over the Toronto Tempo on Monday night. The three-time All-Star shot 7-of-14 from the field, made five of her six free throws and connected on one of her three attempts from beyond the arc.
The performance delivered more than another productive night for Atlanta's star forward. It gave Reese her 22nd double-double of the season, establishing a new Dream single-season franchise record. With 12 games remaining on Atlanta's schedule, Reese has a realistic opportunity to catch Alyssa Thomas' WNBA record of 28 double-doubles in one season.
Reese arrived in Atlanta with an established reputation as one of the most relentless rebounders in basketball. She has only strengthened it during her first season with the Dream.

The Oklahoma Sooners filled their final roster spot on Monday night. The Sooners are expected to add Arkansas transfer defensive tackle Danny Saili, according to a report from On3's Pete Nakos and SoonerScoop's George Stoia. Saili entered the transfer portal back in January. Saili joins the Sooners with one year of eligibility remaining.
Saili was originally committed to Oklahoma from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas back in 2023 before flipping to BYU late in the cycle. After spending a season with the Cougars, Saili transferred to Arkansas, where he spent the last two seasons.
He played in 18 games for the Razorbacks, recording 14 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. According to Pro Football Focus, he played 379 snaps over the last two seasons, including 313 snaps in 2025. PFF graded him as a top-20 run defender in the SEC among defensive tackles with at least 170 snaps.
With a lot of experience and fantastic size, Saili will have an opportunity to push for rotational snaps at the nose tackle spot behind Jayden Jackson.
At 6-foot-6 and nearly 320 pounds, Saili has the size to take up ******* e and eat up double teams in the running game. He'll keep the linebacker corps clean and allow the defensive line around him to work against one-on-one ******* ignments more. Saili won't be easily moved off his spot, creating disruption in the running game.

A little more than a week after Kelsey Plum was traded from the Los Angeles Sparks to the Phoenix Mercury, the five-time WNBA All-Star guard was set to return to Los Angeles to face-off against her former team on Tuesday, Aug 11.
However, Plum won't be in the lineup.
Plum has been ruled out of the Mercury's matchup against the Sparks on Tuesday with left lower leg tightness that limited her to 14 minutes in the Mercury's 95-75 loss to the Washington Mystics on Sunday, Aug. 9.
With 9:19 remaining in the second quarter, Plum went down near half court after Mystics guard Georgia Amoore pushed Mercury guard Sami Whitcomb into Plum, resulting in a foul on Amoore. Plum got up under her own power and returned to the game before being shut down in the second half with left calf tightness.
"We wanted to be safe," Mercury head coach Nate Tibbetts said. "We'll just see the next couple days how it looks."

Dave Ramsey exposed a mortgage payoff scheme targeting Ron, 64, as a HELOC shell game that adds costs and risk rather than accelerating his $85,000 payoff.
Companies running these schemes either steal your money outright or charge fees that slow your payoff, making both outcomes harmful.
To pay off $85,000 in 6 years, simply pay roughly $1,250 extra per month directly to your servicer with no middleman needed.
Many financial professionals are salespeople paid on what they push, not whether you end up wealthier. A fiduciary is the opposite. The SEC legally requires them to put your interests first. Advisor.com's free matching tool pairs you with vetted fiduciaries from major national firms, all in under three minutes. See who you match with today.
Ron, a 64-year-old caller from Cincinnati, told The Ramsey Show that a company had pitched him on wiping out his $85,000 remaining mortgage balance in 6 years, versus the 19 years left on his 30-year loan. The catch: he had to hand over every paycheck. "They want every bit of my income and then they give you back enough money for what you think you owe in bills. And they take the leftover," Ron said. He had not agreed to anything and wanted a second opinion.

JERUSALEM, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Israel's military on Sunday closed the West Bank village of Taybeh to non-residents, saying it aimed to prevent growing attacks ‌on Palestinians by Israeli settlers across the West Bank.
The order, the military ‌said, only applies to Israelis and not to Palestinians. A spokesperson said turning Taybeh into a closed military zone was "due to some violent attacks by Israelis in the region."
"Upon receiving any report of violations of the order, IDF soldiers are dispatched to the area and operate to disperse the gatherings and detain suspects in order to protect the citizens of the ‌area and to maintain order," the military said in a statement.
Taybeh is one of the only Christian villages remaining in the West Bank and was visited last year by the Greek Orthodox patriarch and the Roman Catholic cardinal of Jerusalem.
It is also home to the Taybeh Brewing Co, widely considered the Middle East's oldest microbrewery.

Memory maker Sandisk (NASDAQ: SNDK) reported fiscal fourth-quarter results last Wednesday, and the quarter itself wasn't the biggest news in the release. The board approved an additional $14 billion share repurchase program, bringing Sandisk's total remaining buyback authorization to $15.5 billion.
For perspective, the market values the entire company at about $181 billion as of this writing. Spent at recent prices, $15.5 billion would retire about 8.6% of Sandisk's shares.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Whether the program delivers that much value comes down to the cash flow funding it -- cash flow that mostly didn't exist a year ago.
Sandisk's fiscal fourth-quarter revenue came in at $8.97 billion, up 372% year over year, while gross margin reached 84.6%, up from 26.2% a year earlier. Full-year revenue rose 175% to $20.2 billion in fiscal 2026 (ended July 3, 2026), and the company swung from a $1.6 billion net loss the year before to $11.4 billion of net income.

Aug 9 (Reuters) - Taylor Farms said on Sunday it was recalling prepared food items containing jalapeños from retailers over concerns about potential ‌salmonella contamination, a few weeks after removing lettuce from Mexico ‌that U.S. authorities linked to the cyclospora parasite.
The California-based supplier said it had voluntarily recalled the products, including salsas and guacamole, after being notified that Coast Citrus Distributors was recalling the fresh peppers.
Taylor said in a statement it was no longer sourcing from a farmer in Sinaloa, Mexico, that was identified as the potential source ‌of the salmonella outbreak.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said earlier this week they were investigating the salmonella outbreak, which had sickened 345 people across 27 states and led to 36 hospitalizations.
The U.S. investigation identified restaurants including Chipotle Mexican Grill and Qdoba, a Mexican-style restaurant chain, as having received jalapeños imported by Coast Citrus Distributors. Both ‌restaurants stopped using them, while Coast Citrus recalled the remaining product and notified customers.

Cameco (NYSE: CCJ) recently reported ugly second-quarter results. The nuclear fuel supplier's revenue fell 7%, while its adjusted earnings per share missed the ******* ysts' consensus estimate by a mile (0.18 Canadian dollars per share vs. CA$0.36 per share, or $0.13 to $0.26).
However, things for the uranium company weren't as bad as they initially looked. The earnings miss was almost entirely due to lower equity earnings from its investment in Westinghouse Electric, which it co-owns with Brookfield Renewable. That trend could quickly reverse as its owners are preparing to take Westinghouse public, which could unlock significant value for Cameco.

Cameco bought a 49% interest in Westinghouse in late 2023, with Brookfield Renewable purchasing the remaining 51% stake. The deal valued Westinghouse at CA$8.2 billion ($5.9 billion) at the time of its closing.
As a co-owner of Westinghouse, Cameco accounts for its interest in the business on its financial results using the equity method of accounting in Canadian dollars. During the second quarter, Cameco reported a CA$10 million ($7.2 million) loss attributable to its Westinghouse share. That was down from CA$126 million ($90.4 million) in earnings in the year-ago period. However, that was entirely due to some lumpiness in Westinghouse's business. Cameco's equity earnings from Westinghouse were higher in 2025 due to its participation in the construction of two nuclear reactors at a power plant in the Czech Republic.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, he wouldn't be surprised if Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson, who's competing for the QB2 job behind starter Daniel Jones, has played his last down in Indy:
It's been a roller coaster ride for the 2023 4th overall pick of the Colts, who had a promising start to his pro career as a rookie in a limited 4 starts that same season, before being lost to a season-ending shoulder injury.
Richardson endured a 'sophomore slump' a year later, where his maturity was questioned following his infamous in-game tap-out incident, and it's been a myriad of injuries that have kept him off the field ever since—including a freak accident in Week 6 last season when a medical band snapped during pre-game work, which would cause him to miss the remaining 2025 season. The Colts could've certainly used Richardson after Jones went down with an Achilles tear during Week 14 of last year, but as mentioned, he wasn't available himself as a backup.
There's been plenty of blame to go around for both sides. The Colts initially said he needed snaps and game day reps after drafting him, only to reverse course, and say he wasn't ready—and should've sat to begin his pro career in retrospect. Indianapolis never surrounded him with a willing veteran mentor at quarterback either.
Even overlooking the injuries, Richardson's passing accuracy remains a critical deficiency for him to take the next step, and it's a fair question of whether he was doing everything on and off the field to lead the team as their new QB1—and the fresh CEO of W. 56th Street team headquarters.
