Risk management is my number one priority. As I see it, you can't get where you want to be as an investor if you don't control the risk you take.
That ranges from the use of cash, incorporation of hedging techniques, and a whole lot more. Here, I want to draw your attention to one of the less research intensive aspects of risk management.

York Water holds the longest dividend streak in US public markets at 27 consecutive years, while WTW's $1.775B operating cash flow dwarfs its $358M dividend obligation.
Amdocs and Ituran both run near-recession-proof revenue models, with DOX posting near-100% managed services renewal rates and ITRN carrying zero debt alongside $103.7M in net cash.
All five stocks fund dividends from contracted or recurring revenue streams such as regulated rates, fee income, or subscriptions, insulating payouts from economic cycles.

Income investors heading into the fourth quarter want payouts that don't wobble with the business cycle. The five names below share one thing: dividends funded by recurring, contracted, or fee-based revenue streams that keep flowing whether or not the macro cooperates. Each has raised its payout recently, and each trades on Nasdaq. As a grounding data point, Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ:WTW) alone generated $360 million of first-half free cash flow, roughly double the prior-year period, giving the broker ample room to keep funding both dividends and buybacks.

Wasatch Global Investors, an **** et management company, released its "Long/Short Alpha Fund" Q2 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. Small- and mid-cap growth stocks posted significant gains in Q2, led primarily by AI-related companies. The Russell 2500 Index rose 20.26%, while the Wasatch Long/Short Alpha Fund—Investor Class increased by 8.29%. However, the fund faced challenges due to the outperformance of lower-quality companies, which negatively impacted its long positions. Despite trailing the benchmark and some losses in short positions, the fund remains confident in its long portfolio's fundamentals, which have not deteriorated. Additionally, reviewing the Fund's top five holdings could help identify its best picks for 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Wasatch Long/Short Alpha Fund highlighted Real REMAX Group Inc. (NASDAQ:REAX). Real REMAX Group Inc. (NASDAQ:REAX) is a real estate technology company that provides **** le, mortgage, wallet, and franchising and ancillary services. The Real Brokerage, Inc. changed its name to Real REMAX Group Inc. (NASDAQ:REAX) has a market capitalization of $422.42 million, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $15.50 to $52.50.
Wasatch Long/Short Alpha Fund stated the following regarding Real REMAX Group Inc. (NASDAQ:REAX) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Among shorts, contributors to Fund performance were those stocks that declined in price. One of our largest contributors was REMAX Group Inc. (NASDAQ:REAX). The company operates a cloud-based real estate platform operating across the U.S. and Canada. Real Brokerage's stock was down due to concerns about how AI may disrupt its business model."
Real REMAX Group Inc. (NASDAQ:REAX) is not on our list of the 40 Most Popular Stocks Among Hedge Funds. According to our database, 25 hedge fund portfolios held Real REMAX Group Inc. (NASDAQ:REAX) at the end of the second quarter, compared to 21 in the previous quarter. While we acknowledge the potential of Real REMAX Group Inc. 1444 ET – Gold futures make small gains despite a rise in Treasury yields after the Treasury Department said it would buy back $6 billion in bonds this week, less than some in the market expected. The dollar weakened, however, which tends to support gold. An easing in ******* anese yields and continued central bank buying—with China’s central bank adding 20 tons in August—also helped support prices, while the market remains focused on U.S. inflation data later this week, Konstantinos Chrysikos of Kudo.com says in a note. 1150 ET – Gold futures are steady as bond yields rise after the Treasury says it will buy up to $6 billion of longer-term debt at its Thursday buyback operation. The precious metals market is also focusing on this week’s inflation data—producer prices due Thursday and consumer prices on Friday. Gold’s recent slippage came as high Treasury yields, firmer Fed rate-hike expectations and rising oil prices “collectively outweighed dollar softness,” Kaynat Chainwala of Kotak Neo says in a note. Softer inflation readings would reduce the probability of a rate increase “and open the path toward the $4,500 resistance zone,” while an above-estimate result along with high energy prices “would likely reinstate selling pressure and bring the $4,300 support zone into focus.” Front month gold is up 0.2% at $4,401.20 a troy ounce. NEW YORK, Sept 9 (Reuters) - With two months until the U.S. midterm elections, the options market is showing a potentially toxic mix of fragility and fearlessness, with some ******* ysts worried markets are ill-prepared to absorb any shock.
Despite recent bond market volatility, stocks remain near record highs, volatility ‌measures are near 2026 lows, and equity market correlations are flirting with record lows, meaning stocks are moving more independently than usual.
While ******* ysts do not expect the ‌elections themselves to prompt a big market reaction, the run-up to the November 3 vote could be volatile.
As the elections approach, investor focus could turn to the uncertainty over control of Congress and its policy implications — along with the risk of a divided or fragile government — which could stir volatility, ******* ysts said.

Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ:NDSN) could be one of the more underrated dividend-growth stocks in the industrial sector. The company has now raised its dividend for 63 consecutive years, including a notable 15% increase to $0.94 per share announced in August 2026. What makes the story particularly interesting is that Nordson combines this long dividend record with a relatively modest payout, strong cash generation, and a diversified business model built around precision technologies, recurring parts, and consumables. As of August 31, the stock has a dividend yield of 1.17%.
Its latest fiscal Q3 results- with record adjusted EPS and stronger full-year guidance- also suggest the company has the earnings and cash-flow capacity to keep growing the dividend.
Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ:NDSN)'s dividend-growth streak looks increasingly well supported by its cash generation and relatively conservative payout. The biggest positive is that Nordson did not merely maintain its dividend-growth record; it raised the quarterly dividend by 15% to $0.94 per share, marking the 63rd consecutive year of annual increases. A double-digit increase is meaningful because it suggests management remains confident in the company's ability to generate enough cash to support both the dividend and other capital-allocation priorities.
The dividend also appears to have a substantial earnings cushion. Fiscal Q3 adjusted EPS increased 19% to a record $3.25, while the company raised its full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $11.80-$12.00. At the new quarterly dividend rate, the annualized payout is $3.76 per share, implying that the dividend represents only roughly 31%-32% of the midpoint of management's adjusted EPS guidance. That leaves considerable room for Nordson to continue investing in the business while still growing the dividend.
Cash flow provides an even stronger argument. Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ:NDSN) generated $570.5 million of operating cash flow during the first nine months of fiscal 2026, up from $516.3 million a year earlier. It paid $137.4 million in dividends during that period. In other words, operating cash flow covered the dividend by more than four times, providing a meaningful cushion for future increases.

More than a decade after exiting a market where it once operated 18 locations, Dunkin' is looking to reopen a chapter that ended following a contentious franchise dispute.
The coffee and donut chain has been pursuing new growth opportunities as it expands its footprint in the U.S. and internationally, including recent moves into markets where it previously operated.
Founded in 1950, Dunkin' is the largest coffee and donuts brand in the U.S., with more than 14,200 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets. The chain became part of Inspire Brands in 2020, joining a portfolio that also includes Arby's, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John's, and Sonic.
Dunkin' is coming back to Puerto Rico in 2027 through a new partnership with Fusion Restaurant Group, a Puerto Rico-based restaurant operator that will lead the brand's expansion across the island. The first locations are expected to begin opening in 2027.
Under the exclusive development and operating agreement, Fusion Restaurant Group will oversee Dunkin's growth across Puerto Rico and bring the chain's coffee, iced beverages, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and other menu offerings back to consumers on the island.

Palantir Technologies (PLTR) stock has recovered quickly, gaining more than 40% over the past month. The rally followed the company's stronger-than-expected second-quarter performance and solid growth prospects.
Two concerns had weighed heavily on PLTR. The first was the stock's exceptionally rich valuation. The second was the prospect of intensifying competition as major artificial intelligence (AI) companies expanded into enterprise applications that overlap with parts of Palantir's market. While Palantir's latest results have not eliminated either risk, they have provided investors with stronger evidence that Palantir's competitive position and demand remain robust.

WASHINGTON, Aug 26 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's efforts to oust Federal Reserve officials to clear room for his own appointees have been stalled so far by the courts and political pushback in the Senate, but he may still have as many as four opportunities to try to beef up his influence over the central bank's policy committee.
Trump has so far stood behind ‌Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh even though his handpicked appointee sidelined talk of the interest rate cuts the president has been demanding. Warsh also set aside all rate guidance in June, shortly after becoming head of ‌the central bank.
While Warsh has talked often about the "incredible team" at the Fed — an institution designed to be insulated from politics by having only two of the seven seats on its Board of Governors expire in any one presidential term — Trump last month said he regarded the central bank's board in general as "maybe a little bit hostile," and as standing in Warsh's way.
"I know he would love to see lower interest rates. But he has got a board, and it's a political board," Trump said.

World Liberty Financial (CRYPTO: $WLFI) has moved closer to bringing its USD1 (CRYPTO: $USD1) stablecoin under a federally supervised banking structure after the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency conditionally approved a national trust bank charter for World Liberty Trust Company.

Unlike a traditional commercial bank charter, the national trust structure generally does not permit deposit-taking or lending. Performance was driven by distribution and transmission rate increases and the absence of prior-year customer relief costs, offset by higher credit loss expenses at BGE and increased interest costs.
Management attributes sustained reliability performance to disciplined grid investment, noting that ComEd restored 90% of customers within 48 hours following the most severe storm activity in two decades.
The PJM market is under extreme strain, evidenced by capacity prices clearing at the FERC-approved cap for three consecutive auctions and a widening 6.8-gigawatt reliability shortfall.
Exelon is pivoting toward an 'all-of-the-above' strategy—including transmission, storage, and utility-owned generation—to mitigate scarcity that would have otherwise driven prices to $777 per megawatt-day in ComEd.

Just before last weekend kicked off, Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) and SK Hynix (NASDAQ: SKHY) finished some business, signing the largest memory deal in history. As part of the partnership, SK Hynix's subsidiary, SK Telecom, will build a 2-gigawatt AI cloud data center in Korea using Nvidia's Vera Rubin Platform. Meanwhile, SK Hynix will supply Nvidia with high bandwidth memory (HBM) going forward, while the two companies will work together to co-develop future generations of AI memory.
One of the biggest bottlenecks in the AI infrastructure build-out right now is memory, especially HBM. To reduce latency and improve power efficiency, graphics processing units (GPUs) and other AI chips need to be packaged with HBM. Meanwhile, the need for HBM is only growing as inference increasingly focuses on fast memory access rather than raw compute power.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
However, increasing HBM capacity is a challenge. It requires access to the same EUV (extreme ultraviolet lithography) machines that manufacture GPUs and other advanced logic chips, and the supply for these machines is limited, since the only company that makes them is ASML. At the same time, HBM needs upward of 3 times the wafer capacity of regular DRAM, adding another challenge if one wants to rapidly increase supply. HBM also must be manufactured in massive clean rooms, which can take years to build.
My prediction is that this deal will play an important role in both stocks being big winners over the next few years.

Super Micro Computer says that business is booming and profitability is improving. Investors like the sound of that.
Shares of Supermicro (SMCI), as the company is commonly known, jumped 22% to $31 in early trading Wednesday after the server maker said it expects to report gross margins of between 15% and 17% for its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended on June 30. That's a steep increase over the company's previous guidance of 8.2% to 8.4%.
In a preliminary business update released late Tuesday, Supermicro estimated that revenue for the quarter will be closer to the low end of its previous forecast range of $11 billion to $12.5 billion. However, the company said that new orders in the period exceeded $60 billion, putting its backlog at a record level, indicating that the outlook for the coming quarters is strong.
The rosy view on margins from Supermicro gave shares of rival server makers a boost in early trading Wednesday. Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) rose 5%, while Dell Technologies (DELL) jumped 8%, on an otherwise sluggish morning for U.S. stocks.
Coming into Wednesday's session, Supermicro shares had lost nearly 50% over the past year. The stock, which traded above $110 in early 2024 amid optimism about the role the company would play in the AI data center boom, has slumped in recent years amid investor concerns about accounting irregularities and corporate governance.
