Millwall have completed the free signing of full-back Jordi Osei-Tutu on a one-year contract.
Osei-Tutu, 27, left Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season after helping them win promotion to the Championship and has been training with Millwall for the past two weeks.
The right-back began his career at **** nal's academy and spent time at Bochum, Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest, Rotherham United and Greek side PAS Giannina before joining Bolton in August 2024.
"[Jordi] is an experienced full-back," Millwall's director of football Steve Gallen told the club website.

Announcing the news on Instagram, she shared that it was chosen to reflect English and Portuguese history, "Two places we love and call home."

Today, on August 16th, it feels like the Yankees' offense is in such a hole that the prospect of a deep postseason run—this team's ultimate goal—is as unlikely a proposition as one could hope for. Ultimately, though, no matter how real these issues are, we know that there is an element of a local low in a 162-game season that won't last. In the meantime, these struggles could easily snowball into problems for the few healthy standouts in the Yankees lineup this season. Specifically speaking, Ben Rice and George Lombard Jr.
Carrying on the success of last season's breakout campaign, Rice is now indisputably one of the more powerful hitters in the American League in 2026. Early in the year, with a fully healthy lineup, Rice was legitimately producing like one of the MVP candidates, but that has changed since the start of June. As much as we could dive into those struggles, ***** uming we're confident of his long-term abilities, the focus here is on addressing a change in expectations and need.
Inadvertently suffering from the absence of Aaron Judge and the way pitchers can attack him because of it—from a psychological standpoint—Rice, for the first time in his career, is dealing with the pressure of anchoring a lineup. He is the one, in the current situation, the only one, in this lineup that opposing teams single out to create a plan of attack.
While the worst performers in this lineup seem to test the limits of this theory, frustration may only come from a place of expectation. Having seen what Rice can do at his best, a 4-for-40 run with which he starts August all of a sudden is under a microscope that it otherwise wouldn't have been had the team not been slumping this badly, offensively.
Sure, Rice is the type of hitter that could go on a tear at any moment; in fact, we saw that right around the All-Star Break, but his production shined the most when inserted into a context completely different from the one he is currently in. A potential failure to raise his game even further in this moment should not be held against him, especially when you address that on paper, this lineup, even in its current construction, should not be struggling this much. Asking ***** iot Ramos to mash lefties, Trent Grisham to get on base often, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. to do something are all far more reasonable requests than having Rice carry the lineup on his back. Yes, fairness is often brushed to the side in the cruel reality of high-level sports, but the healthiest course of action for this team's success moving forward lies in acknowledging all of this.

After earning a spot on the UFC's roster with a split-decision win on Dana White's Contender Series in August 2022, Hailey Cowan is calling it a career at the age of 34. Cowan suffered a TKO loss at the hands of Nina Milošević during UFC Belgrade.
The KO loss came on the strength of a nasty straight right hand to the body. Cowan immediately stopped and nearly folded like a lawn chair. I don't recall ever seeing a fighter take a loss like Cowan and calling it a career immediately afterward.

Sonya Marmeladova, a popular Russian ******* blogger, was sentenced to three years of suspended punishment by a Moscow court on Friday for distribution of ******* , according to the Russian media.
Her real name is Sofia Vershinina. Prosecutors claimed she offered private paid Telegram channels with intimate photos and videos to subscribers. They stated that Vershinina advertised private chats in a public channel. The defendant admitted guilt, expressed regret, and asked the Meshchansky District Court to impose suspended punishment, according to Meduza.
The prosecutors demanded three and a half years in a penal colony, according to Ostorozhno Novosti citing the courtroom.
The court imposed a fine of 4.8 million rubles (about $60,000 or €53,000) on Vershinina, as well as an iPhone 16 Pro Max, Meduza reported. The ruble amount was declared a fine. The ******* equipment found at the defendant's residence, like handcuffs and a leather choker, was returned to her, according to Vzglyad.
According to the investigators, Vershinina earned about 30 million rubles from explicit photos and videos in 2026. According to the investigators, she spent this money on the purchase of an apartment in Moscow City and designer products, according to Izvestia. Manchester United have signed goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old becomes their second signing of the summer following the arrival of defender Andrea Medina.
It is believed the former Germany youth international has signed a three-year deal at United after they triggered the release clause in her Leicester contract, which was renewed in 2025.
Leitzig has been at Leicester for three years, initially on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich, where she became a regular starter.

Chelsea goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina (22) could join RC Strasbourg Alsace this summer, according to a report from L'Équipe.
With Mike Penders returning to Chelsea following a successful stint on loan in Alsace, Le Racing are in the market for a new No.1. Slonina could inherit the jersey. L'Équipe understands that the USMNT goalkeeper is already in France to undergo a trial that could last several weeks.

BOSTON (AP) — A Massachusetts man was found guilty Monday of conspiring to unlawfully export electronic components to Iran in violation of U.S. sanctions.
Mahdi Mohammad Sadeghi, who worked at the global electronics company **** og Devices, was accused of helping an Iranian business **** ociate get around American export control laws. U.S. prosecutors say the business **** ociate's Tehran-based company makes navigation systems for the military drone program of Iran's Revolutionary Guard. Authorities say the scheme included the creation of a front company in Switzerland.
The second defendant, Mohammad Abedininajafabadi, called Abedini in court documents, was not on trial. He is believed to be in Iran after an apparent prisoner exchange for an Italian journalist.
Sadeghi was found guilty on three of the five charges. He showed no visible reaction to the verdict, which came early in the fourth day of jury deliberations. He and his lawyers did not comment as they left court, and he will remain free until sentencing Oct. 13.
Sadeghi, a 43-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen, chose not to testify. A father of two, he lost his job at **** og Devices due to the charges. Although he was arrested in December 2024, long before the current war with Iran, his trial has unfolded during the conflict.

An Argentine soccer player for a Venezuelan second division team has lost his wife and two children after last week's earthquakes, the strongest to hit Venezuela in more than a century.
Lucas Trejo, who plays for Club Sport Marítimo La Guaira, had spent much of the last three days combing through rubble and looking for signs of his wife Yanina and their children Aarón and Ainhoa.
Trejo's brother-in-law Ricardo Ardiles told CNN Español Friday the soccer player was "emotionally overwhelmed" and that "absolutely nothing" was left of the family's beachfront home in La Guaira, one of the hardest-hit areas.
More than 1,400 people died and thousands more are missing in Venezuela, authorities said Sunday.
Trejo, 38, was at a team training camp in Caracas when the two earthquakes struck, CNN Español reported. He immediately rushed to his home in La Guaira, 18 miles north of the capital.
