Ducks owners Henry and Susan Samueli announced the honor for Getzlaf, who retired in April 2022 after a 17-year NHL career spent entirely in Anaheim.
Getzlaf is the top scorer in Ducks history, racking up 1,019 points in a franchise-record 1,157 games while also becoming the team's career ******* ists leader and its top playoff scorer. He was the Ducks' captain for his final 12 seasons, the longest tenure in team history.

Brian Austin Green is opening up about a frightening health crisis that changed nearly every part of his daily life. The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum says he once struggled to walk, speak, read and write. Green described the symptoms as neurological and "stroke-like."
During the Aug. 26 episode of Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, Green revisited the health struggle he experienced more than a decade ago. "I ended up with this neurological thing, and it was, like, stroke-like symptoms," Green said.
The actor explained that the illness began when he was around 39 or 40. According to Green, the symptoms became so severe that he had to relearn basic skills. "I had to learn how to walk again, to talk again," he said. Green added that he could not read or write during the worst period.
The Beverly Hills 90210 star told Robinson that his brain and body felt completely disconnected. He estimated that his recovery took roughly four and a half years.
Green said doctors never reached a complete diagnosis for the neurological symptoms. However, he believes internal inflammation played a role. He also discussed diet and emotional stress as possible contributing factors.

Roman Anthony begins a rehab **** ignment on Tuesday, but when he gets back to Boston, his friend Marcelo Mayer will not be there.
Mayer and Anthony were two-thirds of Boston's "big three" of prospects, which also included Kristian Campbell. Anthony was a star in the big leagues almost instantly and signed an extension, but Mayer did not have the same fate. He struggled as a hitter and dealt with injuries. The Red Sox decided to trade him at the deadline after adding Curtis Mead in a separate trade.
"Obviously, Marcelo hit a little different," Anthony told reporters on Tuesday, per WooSox reporter Tommy Cassell. "I came up with him and lived with him every day, and he was my roommate since we were — since I was 18, 19 years old. So, seeing him go, I was excited for him to kind of get a new opportunity and almost like a refresh and to be back close to home, I think it'll be good for him and hopefully get to see him come to Boston, that'd be pretty cool, right? A mix of both efficiency and staples of the Kubiak scheme, the Silver & Black's head coach and offensive play caller provided a window into what he's cooking up this season in Las Vegas' 27-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals this past Thursday.
The opening drive showcases the ever-efficient Kirk Cousins in the driver seat as the veteran quarterback and looking sharp pacing a 10-play, 68-yard touchdown drive. Behind an offensive line that kept him clean and comfortable, Cousins went 5-of-6 for 50 yards with his touchdown pass going to tight end Michael Mayer. It was a script featuring the heavy personnel packages — multiple tight ends — a (gasp!) fullback in Connor Heyward, pre-snap motions, and balanced air and ground attacks.
It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, of course. And Kubiak — a rookie head coach — admitted as much in the post-game press conference.
"I think the thing that stands out to me, ***** ytically or not, is our penalties. We really hurt ourselves," the Raiders head coach said. "We put ourselves in some negative situations, and that's not winning football. Offensively, the fact that we didn't turn the ball over is always good. Preseason is a proving ground for a lot of the players on the Raiders roster right now. And the first event occurred Thursday night in Las Vegas. Let's look at who did themselves a favor and who did not.
The second-year wideout shined as a receiver as well as a blocker, which is exactly what the Raiders want from him. He is expected to start this season and showed well for himself in that endeavor. Bech caught the first pass of the day on a comebacker he only caught by being aggressive and attacking the ball. Later on the opening drive, he was there to help open things up for Michael Mayer on his touchdown catch. Bech was ready to block, but the moment he realized Mayer was free, Bech eased off to avoid a penalty.
Bech stayed in when Fernando Mendoza entered the game. And caught his first pass as well, laying out along the right sideline to make a nine-yard grab. The next drive, he laid a key block on the MIke Washington 53-yard run and then caught the touchdown over the middle to tie up the game.
Vance is in a battle among a host of other cornerbacks on this team. But unlike the others, Vance makes his hay in the slot. And the 177-pounder played a lot bigger than that in this game. The second-year former undrafted free agent made several big tackles for short minimal gain, both in the pass game and against the run to finish with a team-leading 10 tackles on the day. The only significant catch he gave up, he was in tight coverage and it took a one-armed grab by Reggie Virgil.
Second on the team in tackles was Patrick Johnson with five. One of those was a sack, one a tackle for loss, another tackle for no gain. He actually had two sacks because Gardner Minshew was flagged for intentional grounding on the play. Johnson even had a tackle on special teams, which raises his star among his coaches even more. And he did all this with just 26 snaps (38%).

It is currently unclear if Sheldon Creed or Sam Mayer will return to Haas Factory Team alongside Thompson. As of mid-August, Thompson sits 18th in the point standings with his teammate, Harrison Burton, in 20th place. Thompson has run well in the No. 26 car for Sam Hunt Racing.
However, this will undoubtedly be Thompson's best opportunity in NASCAR. Haas Factory Team is capable of winning races and competing for championships. If Thompson can hit his stride and unleash his full potential, he could become an annual winner in the O'Reilly Series.
