A federal judge has ordered Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios to pay a portion of Blake Lively's attorneys' fees and litigation costs pertaining to their legal battle last year. Although the request seems to favor the actress, it is a small fraction compared to what she originally asked for.
On August 26, in an order obtained by People, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman awarded Lively $363,245.40 in attorneys' fees and $44,206.35 in costs. She originally requested $8,035,040.88 for her defense against Baldoni and Wayfarer's defamation countersuit, which has been dismissed.
The Jane the Virgin star and Gossip Girl actress have been embroiled in legal woes since December 2024, when the actress accused her It Ends With Us director of ****** ual harassment, aiding and abetting harassment and causing intentional infliction of emotional distress while working on the film.
Most of Lively's claims were dismissed by a judge. However, her claims of retaliation and breach of contract were still allowed to proceed to trial.
