The Celtic manager will be looking for a positive reaction from the players who will still be hurting having had their Champions League dream torn from them. They will know that the Celtic supporters who travelled to Linz were angry at the end and that was the same emotion for the rest of us watching on Amazon Prime.
Martin O'Neill has made three changes to his starting XI for today's match against Falkirk with Liam Scales replacing Auston Trusty, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain coming in for the Celtic captain Callum McGregor, who is suffering from a sickness bug while Haissem Hassan gets his first start for Celtic with Yang and Camilo Duran the other two forwards.
Duran will play as the striker with Kasper Hogh out with a knock picked up in Austria.
On the bench for Celtic this afternoon are Doohan, Trusty, McCowan, Tounekti, Osmand, Kenny, Murray, Forrest and Kennedy.
Kick-off is at 3pm and the match is live on Celtic Player for subscribers based outside of Britain and Ireland.

It's been reported that Celtic look to be shifting their signing policy in the wake of the disastrous and humiliating defeat in Linz, a loss which seen the club miss out on a big money bonanza. The current Celtic Board has now cost the club around £80m due to their failures in adequately strengthening the squad for the last two Champions League playoffs.

It's now believed that bids for long term target Gvidas Gineitis of Torino is now in the balance, due to the catastrophic failure to overcome LASK despite at one point leading 4-0 on aggregate.

The 22 year old Lithuanian international was said to be a top target of Martin O'Neill, as the veteran Irishman looks to fill the void left by Arne Engels departure to West Ham, who was under contract at Celtic yet was allowed to leave as those in the boardroom eyed the £££s on offer.

This despatch comes on the journey from Celtic's debacle in Linz to the Czech Republic, where Rangers will hope a more positive European experience awaits.
There will be Rangers supporters revelling in Celtic's downfall last night but they will surely be wary their own nightmare scenario could yet unfold, with the prospect of no European football whatsoever still a possibility.
If they turn in another performance like the first leg against Jablonec they will struggle to get the job done, though Derek McInnes will hope his players can find several more levels to help Rangers secure passage to the league stage of the Conference League.
The alternative is unthinkable for a club that has spent tens of millions of pounds over the past year, though the prize money available in this third-tier competition will not scratch the surface in terms of recouping some of that outlay.
Rather it is for reasons of self-respect that Rangers cannot afford to fail at this stage. Jablonec are not of a standard that should cause the Glasgow side any real issues, yet the slender advantage they take to the Czech Republic does not make for a comfortable evening.

Over two years Celtic has thrown away two massive opportunities that has now cost the club an astonishing £80m in lost Champions League revenue.
Several former Celts were performing media duties last night, and they weren't shy in airing their thoughts. Former Celtic player and manager Neil Lennon who was doing ****** ysis for Prime who covered the game said:
"Huge credit to LASK. They had 33 attempts on goal and they battered Celtic. It'll be up there as one of the worst nights. To lose a four-goal lead is not great. They'll come in for some criticism after that."

In the aftermath of the capitulation in Linz, Callum McGregor has admitted he and his teammates deserved to exit the Champions League at the playoff stage yet again. The Celtic skipper didn't hold back on his post match ***** ysis, as he admitted that the massive collapse was down to no-one else but himself and his fellow teammates.
Speaking to Prime the Celtic skipper was brutally honest in his ***** sment as he said: "We got what we deserved. We were passive all night. We actually looked scared to go and win the game. When you are 3-0 up in the tie it's psychological."

Callum also admitted we got away with were fortunate in the first leg, and our goals more or less papered over the cracks, and offered his apologies to the supporters. "To be honest, I didn't think we were that good in the first leg either. We scored at good times and got away with it."

Speaking to broadcaster for the night Amazon Prime the Celtic manager was asked to react to the game in which his side threw away a 4-0 aggregate advantage to lose 5-1 on the night and 5-4 on aggregate to crash out of the Champions League.

"It's very difficult to do that just after the game is over," O'Neill said. "We should have been out of sight by half-time. We scored a goal which was great, we missed two great opportunities, and then we give them a lifeline just before half-time and then one just after it.
"And they come roaring back and obviously we conceded from our viewpoint, not very good goals at all. That's my team and that's my responsibility."

Celtic boss Martin O'Neill has admitted blame following his side's capitulation away to LASK Linz that sees the Scottish side drop down from the Champions League to the Europa League.
After a 3-0 win at Celtic Park and taking a 21st minute lead in Linz, the Bhoys looked on course to return to Europe's premier competition. However, five unanswered goals from LASK meant that it was instead the Austrian side who booked their place in the Champions League.
"I'm responsible for this one," O'Neill said after the game in which they conceded 40 shots over 120+ minutes.
"Without a doubt. Naturally it took me a long time to get over the UEFA Cup final in 2003 but this was majorly disappointing.
"In the context of things, one was a final which it would have been terrific to win, this was a qualifying game which we should have been able to get through.

Last night we witnessed one of the biggest capitulations ever when we threw away a four goal aggregate lead in Linz. A result that ranks with the worst in the club's history, and in doing so witnessed our dreams of reaching the Champions League group stages ripped into absolute shreds.
For the second year in a row we literally threw away a £40 million golden ticket, and we now need to ask serious questions of not just the players, and coaching staff, but yet again those who run our club from above.

LASK were worthy winners of the tie, we have to give due credit to them and also wish them well for what will be their first ever Champions League campaign. Even in the first leg they looked the more dangerous side, and were unlucky not to score on a few occasions. The 3-0 scoreline certainly flattered Celtic, unlike last night when LASK fully deserved their 5-1 victory.

An Ohio defensive lineman in the 2028 recruiting class has announced his intentions to take a game day visit to Michigan State this year. Via social media, Tatum Hill shared that he will be in East Lansing on Sept. 26 for the Spartans home matchup with Nebraska.
Hill, a 6-foot-1, 285-pound defensive line man is a native of Hillard, Ohio. He plays his high school football for Pickerington North in a highly competitive area of football in the state of Ohio.
He currently does not have a ranking, or an offer from Michigan State, but after a big sophomore season, he is on the radar for teams to monitor heading into this fall. He was named as a top defensive lineman to watch for this 2026 season.

A former Michigan State tight end has been added to the Eastern Michigan roster for the 2026 season. Reeves Taylor has joined the Eagles, a late announcement before the season begins.
Taylor, a Dexter (MI) native, played at Ventura Community College in 2023, his freshman year. Following that, he joined Michigan State as a walk-on tight end. He did not see game action for MSU.
Following a season with the Spartans, Taylor went to Independence Community College to play quarterback. At Independence he Completed 45-of-72 passes for 449 yards and two touchdowns. Now, he has joined Eastern Michigan, where he is slated to be a long snapper for the Eagles.

Celtic of course hold a 3-0 advantage from the first leg, but even then, the USA International isn't taking anything for granted.
Trusty said: "Yeah, you can't be **** y, you can't be too full of yourself. Football is a crazy environment where if you give teams momentum, they can take it. And they're at home next game, so we've just got to go there and play our game," The Scotsman reports, with the Celtic fan media still disgracefully banned by the Celtic Board.
"But we'll have the Celtic fans hopefully cheering us on and we'll be good. It's a good result, it gives us momentum. We have a good number of goals to have some momentum going with us in the next game.

Superb strikes by Benjamin Nygren, and Camilo Duran have put Celtic within touching distance of the money laden group stages, but admittedly Celtic did ride their luck at times, as the Austrians had two goals ruled out for offside, as well as passing up a host of other chances.
The Finnish International said: "I think we can be better, as weird as it may sound. The big moments went for us and there's a lot that we can do better.
"Ultimately we've come away with a 3-0 win so we've got to be happy, but I think there's a lot more to come from the group."
Despite Duran, and Nygren taking the plaudits thanks to their magnificent strikes, Sinisalo played his part by pulling off a couple of vital stops that went a long way in maintaining our three goal advantage.

Under the new coaching staff at Michigan State, the Spartans got their recruiting started with Massillon (OH) running back Savior Owens. Owens, who made his pledge the first of the new coaching staff's tenure, remains the only running back committed in the 2027 recruiting class.
On Friday, Owens got his high school season stated at Washington High School. In a game against Glenville, a 31-18 win for Massillon, Owens ran the ball 26 times for 180 yards and two touchdowns, leading his team to a win.

On Sunday, the 10th Annual Kirk Gibson Foundation Golf Classic took place in Rochester Hills, with the foundation aiming to fund programs to benefit those living with Parkinson's Disease and their families. Tom Izzo made an appearance, along with a ton of other local celebrities to support Gibson.
While at the event, Izzo talked with Brad Galli of WXYZ to discuss several different things. First, breaking down what it means for Izzo to be a supporter of the event, and being there to help fight alongside Gibson. After that, he dove into his team for this year, stating how much he loves the group he has.
"That's the beauty of Kirk, he's such a competitor. But it's not on the field — it's attacking Parkinson's," Izzo said. "It's not a chore to be here, it's an honor to be here."

Former Michigan State baseball pitcher Joseph Dzierwa has gotten odd to a magnificent start in his professional career. Making his way through the Baltimore Orioles minor league system, Dzierwa has already been promoted to AA and is shining while with the Chesapeake Baysox.
On Monday, his success was made even more clear when he was named Eastern League Player of the Week. The honor comes after striking out seven across six scoreless innings in a start against the Reading Fighting Phils.
Through 14 appearances with Chesapeake, Dzierwa is sporting a 1.89 ERA to go along with a 0.883 WHIP.

The Austrian champions have opened their ******* le defence with consecutive league wins and continued their perfect start by beating Austria Wien 2-0 on Sunday.
Attention will soon turn towards the Champions League play-off against Celtic, with the first leg at Celtic Park followed by the return meeting in Austria.
LASK will face a Hoops attack strengthened considerably during the summer window, with Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran already added to Martin O'Neill's squad and Haissem Hassan poised to further bolster the forward options.

Michigan State football has opened fall camp and are gearing up for the season opener against Toledo in just over three weeks' time. With the start of camp, Spartan fans are getting to know all of the new faces that will take the field in 2026.
One of those new faces is Tre Bell, a transfer from Iowa State. The cornerback was one of the best additions for MSU in the transfer portal, and should slot in as the Spartans No. 1 cornerback in this upcoming season.
After practice on Monday, Bell was one of the defenders that spoke to the media following DC Joe Rossi and edge rusher Kenny Soares Jr. In his interview, Bell talked about his early experiences in East Lansing and how he is helping set the tone for the season with his new team.

Manchester United are poised to offload two goalkeepers, with Radek Vitek set to join Middlesbrough in a deal potentially worth up to £14 million, while Altay Bayindir prepares for a loan move to Celta Vigo.
Vitek, a 22-year-old Czech shot-stopper, is nearing a permanent switch to last season's Championship play-off finalists Middlesbrough following an impressive loan spell at Bristol City.
The young keeper initially arrived at Old Trafford from Sigma Olomouc in 2020, having also spent time on loan at Accrington and Blau-Weiss Linz before his successful stint at Ashton Gate.
The Press ******* ociation understands that United have secured matching rights and a buy-back option as part of the agreement with Boro, which includes bonuses that could push the fee to £14m, alongside a sell-on clause of up to 35 per cent.

Celtic were yesterday drawn against Austrian Champions LASK in the Champions League play-offs, and are arguably the toughest side we could have faced from the list of teams in our half of the draw.
LASK won the Austrian double last year, and in a league that contains RB Salzburg, SK Sturm Graz and our old pals Rapid Vienna it's a magnificent achievement, and showcases the ability they undoubtedly possess.
Managed by former Austrian International Didi Kuhbauer, LASK won both of the top honours in Austria, only the second time they had won either trophy in their 126 year history.

The World Junior Summer Showcase took place at the end of July, a pivotal event that serves as a part of the process to select the roster for the IIHF World Junior Championship. In the event, almost ten connections to the MSU program skated and took part in the showcase in Windsor.
Following the conclusion of the event, Helena Hsieh, a regional scout for Elite Prospects, announced her standout performers of the showcase and a couple of Spartans made the list.
Incoming freshman Ethan Belchetz was one of those standouts, performing for team Canada. The Utah first round pick is slated for a big year with MSU.
Next, future Spartan Brooks Rogowski was another standout, this time for team USA. The Vancouver draft pick is expected to join MSU in 2027-28, but he is a candidate for the open slot left by Nikita Kelpov, being a late addition to the roster this year.

Michigan State fans got the pleasure of watching Pat Fitzgerald at Big Ten media days this past week, where the Spartans head man got to show off his personality. Now, it will be Tom Izzo's turn to get a chance to show off his personality to the nation.
On his X page, college basketball ******* yst Jon Rothstein announced that Izzo was going to be the gest on the Inside College Basketball Now podcast, run by CBS Sports. The podcast is slated to take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Izzo will join Rothstein to talk about the state of college athletics, while also previewing the upcoming Spartans season.

The Hoops avoided a potential rematch with Kairat Almaty, who knocked Celtic out on penalties at the same stage last season following a goalless 210 minutes of action.
The first leg will take place on 18 or 19 August with the second leg the following week.

The Scottish Champions have been drawn against LASK Linz for their UEFA Champions League play-off tie later this month with Celtic scheduled to play at home in the first leg.
LASK Linz of Austria finished top of the Austrian Bundesliga, and this is the first time the Hoops have met them, having previously played ties against Austrian sides Rapid Vienna twice, FC Salzburg twice as well as games against Tirol Innsbruck and Sturm Graz.
Celtic's play-off legs are scheduled for August 18/19 and August 25/26
