Celtic made it a comfortable night at Paradise on Wednesday with a convincing 3-0 win against Aberdeen to keep their domestic winning run since the start of the season going.
It was also a busy week off the pitch for the Celts, with a number of new additions joining the club before the end of the summer transfer window.
Oliver Sørensen, Sam Johnstone, Shumaira Mheuka, Landon Emenalo, Joël van den Berg and Jordan Lotomba all became Celtic players over the course of this week, joining Camilo Durán, Kasper Høgh, Mika Baur and Haissem Hassan who all put pen to paper earlier in the window.
Speaking to the media at Lennoxtown this afternoon, Celtic Manager Martin O'Neill expressed his joy at adding more quality to his side over the course of the window.
"I am delighted to get the players we have." He said. "I'm really pleased. We've got them in and I want to get on with it now.

The transfer window slammed shut last night, but there are always a few late deals that only get announced the following morning. Unfortunately, a new midfielder is not one of those despite some speculation today about veteran free agent Georginio Wijnaldum.
The three confirmed moves are loans for Academy standouts Landon Emenalo, 18, Shim Mheuka, 18, and Kiano Dyer, 19 — the two 18-year-olds both going to Celtic in Scotland and Dyer joining League Two side Chesterfield FC. Dyer and Mheuka already have at least one senior appearance to their name while Emenalo (son of our former sporting director Michael Emenalo) was with the first-team on our preseason tour this summer and caught the eye of many observers.
It's certainly a bold move for both Emenalo and Mheuka to be joining the Scottish champions, where they will be competing for minutes against seasoned internationals like former ****** nal left back Kieran Tierney or Denmark striker Kasper Høgh. Celtic manager Martin O'Neill spoke highly of the two teenagers upon their arrival, but we'll just have to wait and see how that translates to minutes at the top level.
"Landon is a very good player we have followed for some time, he will give us some real quality. He has many attributes which I think can benefit us, he is very quick and athletic but also very composed on the ball and while he can defend he certainly gets up the pitch into attacking positions too. I know he has a real desire to do well for us and I am sure he will, as he adds strong competition and support on our left side."
"Shim has great quality, hence Chelsea extending his contract, however I think this period of his career, spent with us, will be beneficial to him and obviously to us. I look forward to working with him, he is a player who I think can give us another great attacking dimension and I'm sure he will make an important contribution to Celtic."

The Celtic manager will be looking for a positive reaction from the players who will still be hurting having had their Champions League dream torn from them. They will know that the Celtic supporters who travelled to Linz were angry at the end and that was the same emotion for the rest of us watching on Amazon Prime.
Martin O'Neill has made three changes to his starting XI for today's match against Falkirk with Liam Scales replacing Auston Trusty, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain coming in for the Celtic captain Callum McGregor, who is suffering from a sickness bug while Haissem Hassan gets his first start for Celtic with Yang and Camilo Duran the other two forwards.
Duran will play as the striker with Kasper Hogh out with a knock picked up in Austria.

Over two years Celtic has thrown away two massive opportunities that has now cost the club an astonishing £80m in lost Champions League revenue.
Several former Celts were performing media duties last night, and they weren't shy in airing their thoughts. Former Celtic player and manager Neil Lennon who was doing ****** ysis for Prime who covered the game said:
"Huge credit to LASK. They had 33 attempts on goal and they battered Celtic. It'll be up there as one of the worst nights. To lose a four-goal lead is not great. They'll come in for some criticism after that."
Former goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel who was working alongside Lennon also gave his thoughts. The former Hoops number one said "This will have huge ramifications.

In the aftermath of the capitulation in Linz, Callum McGregor has admitted he and his teammates deserved to exit the Champions League at the playoff stage yet again. The Celtic skipper didn't hold back on his post match ***** ysis, as he admitted that the massive collapse was down to no-one else but himself and his fellow teammates.
Speaking to Prime the Celtic skipper was brutally honest in his ***** sment as he said: "We got what we deserved. We were passive all night. We actually looked scared to go and win the game. When you are 3-0 up in the tie it's psychological."

Last night we witnessed one of the biggest capitulations ever when we threw away a four goal aggregate lead in Linz. A result that ranks with the worst in the club's history, and in doing so witnessed our dreams of reaching the Champions League group stages ripped into absolute shreds.
For the second year in a row we literally threw away a £40 million golden ticket, and we now need to ask serious questions of not just the players, and coaching staff, but yet again those who run our club from above.

Bayern Munich have extended the contracts of board member for sport Max Eberl and CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.
Both have signed new deals running until 2029, the German champions confirmed on Tuesday evening.
"Continuity provides direction; stability brings strength: we need both to ensure FC Bayern continues to develop consistently at the very highest level," said chairman of the supervisory board Herbert Hainer.
"Especially in the dynamic competitive environment in which a top international club must forge its own path, consistency stands for a clear conviction. With Jan-Christian Dreesen, Max Eberl and Rouven Kasper, our board is ideally positioned to drive FC Bayern forward both in sporting and commercial terms and to maintain its leading position in Europe."
Dreesen joined Bayern as chief financial officer in 2013 before taking over as CEO 10 years later. He said:

Bayern Munich believe there is "no way around" giving Harry Kane the Ballon d'Or after the England star scored 61 goals in 51 appearances and helped the German giants win the German double during the 2025/26 season.
Kane also played a key role in Bayern's Champions League run, which ended with a narrow semi-final defeat to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain, before helping England finish third at the World Cup with six goals at the tournament.
For FC Bayern CCO Rouven Kasper, Kane is in a league of his own when it comes to this year's race for the world's best player award.
"It can only be Harry Kane. We can just give it to Harry," Kasper insisted in an interview with Sky Sports.
"We think there is no way around him this year. When you just focus on statistics, there cannot be anybody else. It does not matter if somebody from Real Madrid wants their player to be there."

Celtic are closing in on the signing of Ermin Mahmic. The highly rated Bosnian International caught the eye at the FIFA World Cup but Martin O'Neill's side appear to have won the battle for the attacking midfielder's signature.
The 21-year-old netted twice for Bosnia but Mail Sport reports that Celtic had already identified the player before the World Cup. Serie A, Bundesliga and Turkish teams have all sought to sign Mahmic but it looks like Celtic have won the race.
It is expected that Mahmic will make the switch to Celtic at the beginning of the week with a deal worth £7m plus add-ons. The 6ft midfielder is probably more of a creative midfielder than an industrious midfielder like Arne Engels, but with Niko Sigur also linked, it appears that Celtic are looking to strengthen the midfield.

Gavin: Superb going forward, solid in midfield but far too open at the back. We need more back-up and we will need to score in the away game. Overall they are a new team starting to knit together.
Brandon: Easily one of the best European nights in a while at Celtic Park, what an atmosphere!
Gordy: Fantastic performance and result, still a bit lax in defence at times but we are starting to build an exciting team. Camilo Duran stole the show with his goals and display, but the performance of Kasper Hogh was vital as he was the link from defence to attack and kept both centre-halves busy all night. Hopefully get the job done next week and then a few more signings, magnificent European night.

BYU receivers coach and passing game coordinator Fesi Sitake has a son whose middle name is Legend.
That son now wants to be called by his middle name.
Why?
Because there's a newcomer to the football team, a freshman receiver, named Legend Glasker who just might be the next big thing in Provo. Glasker, a three-star recruit (247Sports) who graduated from nearby Lehi High last December so he could enroll early at BYU, was one of the breakout stars in spring camp and has picked up where he left off this month in preseason training camp.
Sitake said Monday that Glasker has "solidified his spot" with the first-team offense, along with Oregon transfer Kyler Kasper and Jojo Phillips, the redshirt junior who has shown flashes of brilliance but a lack of consistency, partly due to injury, in three seasons in the program.

Kasper Hogh's impressive first-half hat-trick against Kilmarnock drew comparisons to a litany of Celtic's most prestigious forwards.
BBC Scotland's chief sportswriter, Tom English, said the Denmark striker, who was making just his second appearance for Martin O'Neill's side, represented "the most proven goalscorer Celtic have signed since Chris Sutton".
Current manager O'Neill signed Sutton from Chelsea in what was then the club's record outlay, with Hogh their current biggest fee.
However, the man who partnered Henrik Larsson for years in Glasgow isn't so sure about the comparison.
"Tom does talk a lot of rubbish at times, and that's clearly evident there," Sutton said on the Monday Night Club.

New Bayer Leverkusen coach Carles Martínez is a true football addict which didn't even stop at his wedding.
"The invitation said: Don't forgot your football boots," Martínez said in an interview with Thursday edition of daily Süddeutsche Zeitung.
"We set up a small pitch and organized matches. Five v five, for a few minutes. I was wearing a suit and tie, captain's armband - and football boots," he recalled.
Martínez, 42, said he also missed the birth of his first child in 2024 because he was in Metz with his then French club Toulouse for a match while his wife was in labour in their native Spain.
He left Toulouse after three years to sign a two-year contract in Leverkusen in succession of Kasper Hjulmand, two years after compatriot Xabi Alonso led the German club to a historic unbeaten Bundesliga and German Cup double.

Celtic have been told to pay €9.5m to sign Farès Ghedjemis. The Algerian winger was name checked by Martin O'Neill last week as a potential summer arrival as he looks to strengthen his squad.

With speculation also mounting over key players moving elsewhere, Martin O'Neill has quite the conundrum when it comes to selecting his first XI of the campaign. Here's how I think that Celtic will line-up this evening.
In goals it's an easy choice, with Viljami Sinisalo fully expected to start. Martin O'Neill is on the hunt for a new goalkeeper who will provide meaningful competition for the gloves but at the moment the Finland international keeper remains first pick for Celtic.
When it comes to the defence, Liam Scales is of course suspended for the first two games of the campaign after going through the booking threshold at the end of last season, and Auston Trusty has just recently arrived back at the club after his World Cup participation with the USA, so Dane Murray could well line up alongside the returning Cameron Carter-Vickers who will make his first competitive appearance in six months.
Or Martin may opt for Trusty if the American World Cup star declares himself ready to perform.

With speculation also mounting over key players moving elsewhere, Martin O'Neill has quite the conundrum when it comes to selecting his first XI of the campaign. Here's how I think that Celtic will line-up this evening.
In goals it's an easy choice, with Viljami Sinisalo fully expected to start. Martin O'Neill is on the hunt for a new goalkeeper who will provide meaningful competition for the gloves but at the moment the Finland international keeper remains first pick for Celtic.
When it comes to the defence, Liam Scales is of course suspended for the first two games of the campaign after going through the booking threshold at the end of last season, and Auston Trusty has just recently arrived back at the club after his World Cup participation with the USA, so Dane Murray could well line up alongside the returning Cameron Carter-Vickers who will make his first competitive appearance in six months.
Or Martin may opt for Trusty if the American World Cup star declares himself ready to perform.

It's a challenging season ahead for the Celtic squad with new faces expected to arrive in several areas of the park, and one man in particular will find it even tougher to get minutes given the two new arrivals he's now got to contend with in order to get his chance to establish himself as a regular starter.
Callum Osmand, the highly rated 20 year old who was signed from Fulham last summer had a mixed experience last campaign, having impressed in stages only to succumb to long term injury, but signed off last campaign with an unforgettable goal in an unforgettable last day ***** le win.

After a full pre season, Callum is now fighting fit and raring to go, but faces a huge obstacle in his way in the shape of new additions £5.5m Camilo Duran, and £11 million man Kasper Hogh, both of whom will undoubtedly be seen as automatic first choice picks ahead of the Jersey born youngster.
