Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has admitted that his focus remains on the transfer window and not on his own future ahead of the new season.
The German coach has less than 12 months remaining on his deal at Elland Road. However he insists that his own future is not a priority at this current moment.
"Haven't you seen the news?," Farke answered on his future with a smile. "Recently Ethan Ampadu contract extension until 2030, Joe Rodon contract extension until 2030, Jayden Bogle contract extension until 2030. It means there is no money left for the manager.
"All jokes aside, it is two days until the start of the season. I have more important topics to speak about than my contract. Right now this is not important."
The manager explained that his focus remains on the transfer market. Leeds are still looking to bring further reinforcements through the door at Elland Road.

I wanted all of you to grade the Purdue athletics hire of Tommy McClelland. I know that the real answer is that it's incomplete. We simply don't have enough data on what McClelland is going to do in the role so we just can't say definitively but I at least wanted to get a snapshot of the mood about this hire.
We've got a plurality of 35% that give the hire a B with another 31% giving it a C. 15% each for D and F with only 4% giving it an A. I think that the main thing weighing him down of course is the foot in the mouth comment about national ****** les and IU. I'll just let you know that I went out for a friend's birthday yesterday and this got brought up. One of the women said (and I'm paraphrasing here) "I don't know ****** about sports and even I know that was dumb." So the quote break through and just means that McClelland is going to have to do more to prove it to fans. So, let's get it done Tommy.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke wants attacking reinforcements at the Elland Road club, and the Portuguese' agent offered him to the Whites. However, the cost involved means Leeds are unlikely to be able to get a deal for Leao over the line. The Milan star has also been offered to plenty of clubs in England and across Europe as his time in San Siro appears to be nearing its end.

ESPN's Pete Thamel reported Purdue is targeting Rice's Tommy McClelland as its next athletic director. It has been expected that the university would introduced its new athletic director later this week in conjunction with the Board of Trustees' regular meeting.
McClelland has been at Rice since 2023, after serving as Vanderbilt athletic director from 2020-23. Prior to that, he served as Louisiana Tech AD from 2013-20.
McClelland rose to his first athletic director position, at McNeese State, at age 26
Athletic director Mike Bobinski announced in June he would retire on Dec. 31. He has served since Sept. 1, 2016, succeeding Morgan Burke's 23-year tenure. Before that, the athletic department had only two leaders in 50 years: George King (1971-92) and Guy "Red" Macket (1942-71).
