Arsenal are leading the race to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jack Hinshelwood ahead of the 2026/27 season, according to The Sun.
The 21-year-old is now a major target for the North London club, and the Gunners have already made direct contact with his representatives.
Arsenal are preparing an official bid for the versatile England Under-21 international, who can operate in central midfield, as a holding midfielder and at either full-back position.
That versatility appeals to Mikel Arteta. Managers value players who can seamlessly fill multiple roles within their tactical system.
However, ***** nal face competition from Manchester United and Manchester City in the race for his signature.

Before Bernie Marcus cofounded the now-$343 billion home improvement chain Home Depot, he dreamed of becoming a doctor.
Marcus, who died in November 2024 at age 95, enrolled in pharmacy school when his family couldn't afford to send him to medical school. He would often skip classes to sell Amana freezers door-to-door, according to a memoir published by Home Depot, but he still received his degree from Rutgers University.
After college, he worked his way up through various leadership positions at manufacturing companies, and had a career-defining moment in 1978 when he was fired from a now-defunct home improvement store called Handy Dan. That's when he decided to reinvent himself and cofounded Home Depot. He was worth an estimated $11 billion when he died.
Marcus' legacy lives on, and his philanthropic foundation now nods to one of his original passions: medicine.
The Marcus Foundation, established in 1989 by Bernie and his wife, Billi, donated $28.7 million to Dr. Chuck Murry, director of the University of Southern California's Stem Cell Center, to advance clinical trials of stem cell-based therapies to regenerate damaged tissue after a heart attack.

Republican Senate candidate Michele Tafoya, a former sportscaster, said Wednesday that voters told her it was "embarrassing" to be from Minnesota, amid progressive candidates' wins across the state.
In an appearance on Fox News's "America Reports," host John Roberts asked Tafoya about polling that showed her trailing her opponent, Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, a progressive who netted the Democratic nomination.
"The cards are stacked against you, it would seem," Roberts said. "No question, you've got a big hill to climb there."
"Minnesotans are exhausted, and John, quite frankly, they're embarrassed. I have talked to hundreds of voters in Minnesota who have told me, 'Gosh, I went on vacation this summer. I didn't want to tell people where I was from because it's embarrassing.' And it's true," she said, detailing how Democrats in the North Star State are wary of shifts in the party toward socialism.
Democrats are set to begin the Minnesota Senate general election with an advantage, according to the early polling from Mason-Dixon Polling & Research. It did not poll specific candidates but reported that Democrats lead Republicans on the generic ballot in the Senate race, 49 percent to 41 percent.

Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) blasted President Trump on Thursday for ordering the U.S. Navy to revert to older catapult systems on its aircraft carriers, arguing the change would be costly while questioning Trump's qualifications to make such a call.
"He's a marginally failed real estate developer with multiple bankruptcies," Kelly said in an interview with MS NOW. "He shouldn't be weighing in on systems, on aircraft carriers."
Trump earlier Thursday directed the Navy to return to steam-powered catapults and hydraulic systems on its Ford-class aircraft carriers, ditching the newer electromagnetic technology.
The order would require changes to future carriers, including the USS Doris Miller, which is currently under construction and already slated to use the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS).
Kelly, a former Navy combat pilot and NASA astronaut who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, warned the move would force the Navy to redesign ships that are well into development and are "probably going to cost billions of dollars."

Paulina Porizkova recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of her wedding dress.
She married comedy writer Jeff Greenstein in Italy on July 3.
"I didn't want a piece of art that was painstakingly made so I could wear it only for 30 minutes," she said of finding her dream gown.
Weeks after tying the knot with Jeff Greenstein, Paulina Porizkova is sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her wedding dress fittings. In a new Instagram video, the supermodel explained the thought process behind her unconventional silver gown.
"I've worn so many wedding dresses in my day. I've worn cheap polyester in white so stark it looked like [it was] lit by fluorescent lights," Porizkova's voiceover began. A series of retro modeling photos flashed across the screen, depicting her in bridal editorials throughout the '80s and '90s.

If you only know one celebrity stylist, it might be Rihanna's clothing curator turned editor-in-chief of Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine, Mel Ottenberg. Or, if you're a Bravo-head, you might know the Baroness of Boho, Rachel Zoe. But let's be honest, these days, chances are it's probably Law Roach, the famous stylist responsible for some of the best red carpet looks in recent years. Whether it's the inspired Hunter Schafer sci-fi moment at the 2021 Met Gala or that Zendaya hat, which has its own deep lore and so, so many memes, Roach knows a thing or two about putting a memorable look together.
But, what is it about the Southside Chicago native (and his eye for clothes) that's made him a household name? "He knows his worth," fashion writer Daniel Rogers told The Guardian. "He has fought hard to maintain that position: refusing to speak to journalists unless they use his name within a headline, and refusing to be a background figure to someone else's success," he added. "He brings real fashion capital — and entertainment — to an often staid celebrity landscape." So, let's take a look at the myriad ways this celebrated celebrity stylist has changed fashion forever.

What does it mean to be a stylist? It's looking at lookbooks, it's sourcing pieces, and it's presenting looks to clients. But, to Law Roach, it's so much more than that. All of the above notwithstanding, Roach is also a storyteller, an opinion-shifter, and a trendsetter. So, eschewing the stylist tag, Law Roach created a new job ***** le more befitting of his eclectic work that's about much more than just the clothes. In his words, he is an image architect.

HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:HCA) reported its second-quarter 2026 financial results on July 24, confirming the figures previewed earlier in the month. While top-line growth remained healthy, a visible deterioration in payer mix and a revision to full-year profitability guidance triggered immediate target cuts across Wall Street.
In its Q2 results, HCA Healthcare, Inc. reported that revenue increased 8.7% year-over-year to $20.23 billion from $18.61 billion in Q2 2025. The firm's net income attributable to the company rose 2.8% to $1.69 billion, while diluted EPS increased 11.6% to $7.62 (or $7.59 on an adjusted basis). Adjusted EBITDA grew 4.6% to $4.027 billion compared to $3.849 billion in the prior-year period. Operational volume remained positive overall, with same-facility admissions up 2.5%, equivalent admissions up 2.7%, and emergency room visits rising 3.6%. However, same-facility inpatient surgeries dropped 2.3%, and outpatient surgeries fell 3.4%.
Despite the top-line expansion, management was forced to adjust its full-year 2026 outlook downward. The company now expects 2026 diluted EPS of $28.70 to $30.50 (down from $29.10 to $31.50) and Adjusted EBITDA of $15.40 billion to $16.10 billion (down from $15.55 billion to $16.45 billion), while narrowing revenue guidance to $77.00 billion to $79.50 billion.
The primary culprit was a policy-driven payer mix shift: an uptick in uninsured volume following Medicaid redeterminations and the lapse of health insurance exchange coverage wiped out roughly $400 million from Q2 pre-tax income. HCA now anticipates the full-year exchange-related drag to reach $1.00 billion to $1.20 billion, partially offset by $300 million to $500 million in net Medicaid Supplemental Payment Program benefits.
Following the report, ***** ysts swiftly adjusted their models. On July 28, Mizuho lowered its price target on HCA to $475 from $525 while keeping an Outperform rating, citing slower post-Q2 growth expectations. The same day, Morgan Stanley reduced its price target to $380 from $425 and maintained an Underweight rating. Morgan Stanley ***** yst noted that while lower guidance "puts numbers in a better place," core EBITDA performance was "disappointing," warning of a full valuation alongside a rising risk profile in payer mix.

Management had named the plan exits, the Medicare margin target and the repricing date before the run began.
UnitedHealth (UNH) Group stock has climbed 65% over the past year, against 22.5% for the S&P 500, 50.6% for peer CVS and 2.4% for peer CI. The easy reading is that a difficult stretch simply ended across managed care. The operating change behind UnitedHealth's own earnings step was more specific, and management had described it, with numbers and a date attached, before the run began.
The Plan Exits Management Named A Year Ago
In late July 2025, before the run began, management said it would exit Medicare Advantage plans then serving over 600,000 members, primarily in less managed products such as PPO offerings. The company was also shifting to narrower networks in Medicare Advantage. Those are not forecasts but operating decisions with a date on them, and they meant 2026 earnings would come from a smaller Medicare book, not a bigger one.
The Margin Target And The Repricing Date Were Public Too

One of the main priorities for most coaches is to get out of the Week 0 scrimmages healthy.
At the same time, new Bloomington North coach Andy Harding wanted to get as many reps as possible for freshman quarterback Fisher Pugh and avoid any chances of injury. He got a few more than he was planning on at Dennis O. Martin Field on Friday, Aug. 14 in a two-hour controlled workout against Southport.
Pugh had to finish up the scrimmage with some of the backups after Tristan Stogdill rolled out to throw a pass, which fluttered well off target and ended his evening with an apparent injury. Pugh took a good lick in the final set of plays but bounced right back up.

JEPQ and GPIQ use partial option coverage instead of QYLD's 100% overlay, preserving more NAV while sacrificing some monthly income.
QYLD's distributions have dropped 24% since 2021 and its NAV has gone sideways for a decade, quietly undermining the 12% headline yield.

Twelve years of monthly distributions and a double-digit yield sound attractive. But for long-term holders of the Global X NASDAQ 100 Covered Call ETF (NASDAQ:QYLD), that income has come at a significant cost. The fund has generated plenty of cash, but its share price has barely moved. Compared with simply owning a plain Nasdaq-100 index fund, the opportunity cost now stretches well into six figures on a $100,000 investment.

Management has raised its full-year earnings outlook twice, and the segment doing most of the lifting is still short of its own target margin.
CVS Health (CVS) stock has returned 0.2% over the past three months while the S&P 500 returned 4.6%, a strange pause for a stock up 50.6% over the trailing twelve months. The earnings power underneath the stock did not pause. The upside case rests on one repair still in progress through deliberate management actions: the margin recovery at Aetna, its health benefits business.
Aetna's Turnaround Kept Delivering Through June
The starting point matters: on the first-quarter call in May, the company said its Medicare business improved significantly in 2025 and still generated an adjusted operating loss. Year-over-year improvement in adjusted operating income at Aetna was more than $1 billion through the March quarter and more than $2 billion through the June quarter. That is one lever measured twice, moving one way. The mechanism management describes is unglamorous: two years of deliberate coordinated actions at Aetna, progress in the geographic footprint and product mix, top Medicare Star Ratings (which drive performance bonus payouts), and a Medicare business the company now says is ahead of expectations.

You did the math and claimed Social Security at 62. Then you kept working and ran into the Social Security earnings test. Before full retirement age, Social Security can withhold $1 in benefits for every $2 you earn above the annual limit. That can significantly reduce the benefit you expected to collect alongside your paycheck.
Investment income is different. Dividends, interest, and capital gains generally do not count as earnings for the test. That creates another option for workers who claimed early but still want additional income: build a portfolio that generates cash without increasing earnings subject to the limit. Three ETFs can fill different roles in that strategy: JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF (NYSEARCA:JEPI), First Trust Rising Dividend Achievers ETF (NYSEARCA:RDVY), and Vanguard Utilities Index Fund ETF Shares (NYSEARCA:VPU).

MSTY lost 70% of its value over the past year, turning a $10,000 stake into roughly $6,600 even as weekly distributions from MSTR's covered-call strategy kept arriving.
Distributions are taxed as ordinary income and portions arrive as return of capital, stacking tax drag directly on top of MSTY's structural NAV erosion.
JEPI and XYLD spread covered-call income across hundreds of names at a fraction of MSTY's cost, eliminating the single-stock volatility risk that drives its headline yield.

If you put $10,000 into MSTY a year ago, then you watched it shrink to roughly $6,614 before the IRS even sent a bill. The weekly checks kept landing, but the account balance kept sinking. That gap in income and performance is the entire product story.

On July 28, GSK plc (NYSE:GSK) reported its second-quarter financial results, delivering strong core operational performance and showcasing steady commercial momentum. The firm's total Q2 turnover reached £8.4 billion, marking a 5% increase year-over-year at constant exchange rates (CER), while Core operating profit climbed 7% CER to £2.80 billion and Core EPS rose 9% CER to 50.5p. Growth was primarily fueled by double-digit gains in Specialty Medicines (+14% CER to £3.8 billion) and robust momentum in Vaccines (+8% CER to £2.3 billion). However, Total operating profit dropped 75% CER to £481 million, hit by a £1.3 billion non-cash impairment charge following the decision to discontinue camlipixant after CALM-1/2 Phase III trial results.
Alongside earnings, GSK outlined major strategic plans to accelerate its R&D roadmap. Management announced it expects 20+ Phase III trial starts in 2026, up from its previous projection of 10, focusing on 7 key **** et accelerations across 18 indications in oncology, respiratory, hepatology, and vaccines.
To support this pipeline expansion and fund late-stage development, GSK initiated its new 'Accelerate Growth' restructuring program. The three-year initiative aims to generate £1.9 billion in annual cost savings by 2029 for total costs of £2.4 billion, with savings earmarked for pipeline reinvestment and supporting operating margins through the dolutegravir loss-of-exclusivity period (2028–2030). Additionally, ViiV Healthcare, GSK's majority-owned HIV business, presented positive Phase IIIb VOGUE study data, reinforcing the efficacy and real-world utility of its long-acting HIV regimen portfolio.
This brings up a key question: Is GSK plc (NYSE:GSK)'s pipeline acceleration and core business growth enough to offset upcoming patent expiries, or does statutory margin volatility signal deeper pipeline execution risks ahead?
Bullish **** ysts highlight that GSK plc's core business model continues to show high execution efficiency, supported by key product launches and pipeline catalysts over the next 12 months that build confidence in reaching its £40 billion sales target by 2031. A critical driver is GSK plc's active business development strategy, illustrated by the acquisition of efimosfermin, which expands its hepatology portfolio, provides optionality for related liver diseases, and seamlessly aligns with corporate M&A goals.
