It is difficult to recognize the two young boys who once accompanied Céline Dion during some of her public appearances. Nelson and Eddy Angélil have grown up, and their latest appearance in Paris proves just how much they have changed.

It's hard to imagine a better birthday call than the one Auston Kim of St. Augustine got from U.S. Solheim Cup captain Angela Stanford on Aug. 16.
Kim was whiling away a Sunday afternoon during a break from her LPGA schedule playing frisbee in the backyard of her St. Johns Golf and Country Club home with her sister, August. Kim then got the call from Stanford, who was at the site of the LPGA event in Portland, Ore., to let her know that she had qualified on points for the U.S. team that will play Europe Sept. 11-13 at the Bernardus Golf Club in Cromvoirt, Netherlands.
"It was a good birthday present," Kim said on Sept. 1 after a practice session at her home course. "Completely unexpected. If I had played a tournament that week, I would have been on-site, and it would have been a lot different. I wasn't in a golf mode."
More: These are the 12 members of the 2026 U.S. Solheim Cup team headlined by Nelly Korda
She will be in the Netherlands, where Kim will join U.S. teammates such as Nelly Korda, Jennifer Kupcho, Rose Zhang and Allisen Corpuz against Europe, led by Charley Hull, Lottie Woad, Celine Boutier and Leona Maguire.

Salma Hayek's shoe style has stayed fairly consistent over the years, with platform heels as a recurring choice.
In the 1990s, she wore velvet peep-toes, cork wedges, strappy sandals, and stilettos, but by the 2000s, metallic platform pumps and chunky sandals became a more permanent fixture in her closet.

Céline Dion is returning to the stage this month in Nanterre, France, where she will kick off a five-week residency that will mark her first set of live shows in six years. And to coincide with her major comeback, the pop superstar has been on quite a streak of luxury looks.
Harper's Bazaar's September 2026 cover star touched down in Paris late last week, where she arrived to her hotel in head-to-to Alaïa: a fit consisting of a double-breasted, belted trench paired with suede cutout boots and mask-style sunglasses. Now, only days later, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer has turned heads again, this time in an outfit that was fresh off the runway.

Celine Dion is serving up yet another street-style moment, departing her hotel in Paris today, where she was greeted by her adoring fans.
Pierre Suu/GC Images
The singer wore a Loewe Fall 2026 black dress featuring a sculpted leather bodice and asymmetric shearling-trimmed skirt, a look we first saw on Loewe ambassador Kara Wai back in June.
The silhouette is incredibly modern, particularly the contrast between the sculpted upper half and that exaggerated shearling hem. But this is Celine Dion leaving her Paris hotel, where the pavement has long been her runway. We wouldn't expect anything less.
This latest run of Paris looks also feels different from the fashion extravaganza we became accustomed to during Celine's time working with Law Roach. Reunited with her longtime stylist Annie Horth, who worked with Celine long before that partnership, she appears to have returned to a quieter register.

Céline Dion is back, and she's chicer than ever. After being out of the spotlight for two years, the multi-Grammy award winner was seen in Paris on August 28, greeting fans. Dion looked ready for fall in an Alaïa trench with an oversized collar and a draped asymmetrical hem that showed off her cutout suede boots. The camel trench is a timeless outerwear option, but the songstress made hers fashion-forward with the high-low silhouette and avant-garde footwear. She added a pair of oversized sunglasses, looking ready to walk the runway.

Dion has never shied away from bold looks, and she seems to love statement coats, which are the biggest outerwear trend you'll need going into fall fashion season. In 2019, the "Because You Loved Me" singer told ET, "I'm crazy about clothes. They help me to express myself, as if borrowing characters to help me perform." Dion indeed dresses as if the spotlight is always on her, which it is whenever she's out and about. She inspires fashionistas everywhere to always have a statement coat on hand.

Harry Styles is a major proponent of fashion's slim footwear movement, from sporty shoes to more elevated silhouettes. The latest shoe he's donned to prove it? A pair of blue Celine sneakers, which he was spotted in as he headed to night three of his Madison Square Garden residency on Saturday. A shoe named after Dolly Parton simply had to be a stiletto — or at least have a high heel. It was no secret that Parton was a fan of sky-high footwear. Christian Louboutin took the country singer's preference for towering heels seriously, naming a family of pumps, mules and platform heels for his friend and longtime muse.
Parton passed away at the age of 80 on Aug. 25, 2026, following a battle with cancer. Not even a day later, Louboutin took to Instagram to mourn the loss, saying that he considered the "Jolene" singer to be "a true friend, a partner in sweet crimes and laughs and ALWAYS a complete inspiration." The Dolly family of Louboutin shoes has followed suit: there are the round-toe Dolly 85 pumps, the peep-toe Me Dolly mules and towering Dolly Alta platforms that are made for more than a "9 to 5" type of day.

Khadijah Haqq says communication with estranged husband Bobby McCray has broken down at a particularly difficult point in their unresolved divorce.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Haqq claimed her text messages to the former NFL player stopped being delivered during the past two weeks. She said she confirmed that messages from their daughter and a mutual friend were still reaching McCray, leading her to believe he had specifically blocked her number.
Haqq argued that the problem goes beyond tension between the former couple because they share Christian, 15, Celine, 12, and Kapri, 5. She told the court that she needs a reliable way to contact McCray about their children, particularly if an emergency arises.
The allegation appears in a larger filing seeking child support, $2,033 per month in spousal support and $100,000 toward her legal fees. McCray has not yet responded in court to the blocking allegation, according to TMZ.
She told the court that continued communication is necessary "specifically regarding the children so I can keep him apprised, and notify him in case of an emergency." The filing does not indicate that a judge has made any finding about whether McCray actually blocked her or why her messages were not reaching him.

Dolly Parton's death at 80 came after a brief battle with cancer, her representatives confirmed to TMZ. The country legend died Tuesday at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, surrounded by people close to her. Her passing still shocked family and friends, who knew she had been ill but believed she would recover.
Dolly Parton had spent four days hospitalized in Nashville before her death following several health problems in recent months. TMZ reported that her condition had worried those around her, yet the final outcome arrived unexpectedly. Her representatives said she devoted her life to spreading "joy, laughter, hope and integrity," while highlighting her charitable work and support for medical research.
Tributes quickly followed. Jane Fonda, Parton's longtime friend and 9 to 5 co-star, remembered her warmly, while Reba McEntire mourned the loss of a friend whose place in music could never be duplicated. McEntire wrote there would "never ever be another" Parton.
President Donald Trump, Celine Dion, Sabrina Carpenter, Barack Obama, Anne Hathaway, and several other celebrities have also paid tribute, sharing heartfelt messages after her family announced her death on social media.
Parton, famously known as the Queen of Country, built far more than a country-music career. She moved from rural Tennessee into the national spotlight through songwriting, recording, and television before becoming a major film star and entrepreneur. Her catalog includes Jolene, 9 to 5, and I Will Always Love You, songs that continued to travel across generations.

Timothée Chalamet may have won multiple awards for his movies, but he isn't getting any awards for wedding guest attire, as the outfit he wore to a friend's wedding in Malibu on Saturday, August 15th is being slammed as "tacky," "underdressed," and "disrespectful." Yikes! Check out some pictures here.
The Wonka actor and girlfriend Kylie Jenner attended Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns' wedding, with the Kylie Cosmetics mogul's attire also raising eyebrows. While Chalamet was criticized for seemingly ignoring the formal dress code – not the first time he has done so in his life! – Jenner was slammed for choosing a dress some deemed too risqué for the occasion. And the internet understandably let them have it!
The mom-of-two, 29, flaunted her curves in a vintage Roberto Cavalli 2004 halter dress with seriously risqué cutout detailing all over, as well as a thigh-high slit. It certainly wasn't for the faint-hearted! (Celine Dion wore a cream-colored version of the dress at the 2003 Billboard Music Awards, in case you're getting a case of déjà vu!)
But while her choice was deemed too risqué for a wedding, her boyfriend's attire was roasted even more online. Instead of going for a traditional suit or tux – men have it a lot easier, don't they?! – the Marty Supreme actor, 30, went for a black leather blazer, trousers, and a blue shirt, accessorized with black sunglasses. He also chose to forgo a tie, making him stand out from many of the other male guests, including Justin Bieber, who appeared to embrace the formal dress code.
"Timothée is honestly too much for me. Like you aren't too cool to wear a suit to someone ELSE'S wedding. Everyone else managed. Including Justin. Like dude, get real," slammed one Instagram user. "What is Timothée wearing? Looks terrible," echoed a second, as a third said his casual attire was "so disrespectful."

Honestly? We knew it wouldn't be long before what is perhaps the most controversial shoe (if you can even call it that) of the year made its way onto the red carpet. Fashion has always loved an opinion-dividing shoe moment, and at last night's The Dog Stars premiere in London, Margaret Qualley stepped out in Chanel's much-discussed "barefoot" sandals, proving that even the most eyebrow-raising runway trends can find their way onto the red carpet.
There were plenty of highlights from the premiere, from Jacob Elordi arriving in Celine with his adorable dog, to Margaret's elegant, ethereal and effortlessly cool black fringed Chanel dress. But it was the actress's footwear that had everyone talking.
So, what exactly are the shoes?
First unveiled as part of Matthieu Blazy's Chanel Resort 2027 collection in Biarritz, the sandals take the phrase "barely there" in the most literal sense.

Years before Kylie Jenner donned a daring Roberto Cavalli halter gown for Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns' wedding, legendary vocalist Celine Dion wore the same skin-baring style on the red carpet.
The five-time Grammy winner wore the original, cream-colored runway version of the designer dress to the 2003 Billboard Music Awards, pairing it with Marilyn Monroe-style platinum curls, diamond drop earrings and metallic stilettos.

Céline Dion suffered symptoms for nearly two decades before she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022.
In an interview for the September 2026 issue of Harper's Bazaar, the Canadian superstar recalled how she often experienced severe pain and inability to walk for many years.
"It is a progressive condition. I don't like to say 'disease,'" she told the outlet, before describing how she decided to speak about the health crisis in her 2024 documentary, I Am: Celine Dion. "(The fans) paid for tickets. They bought my records. They gave me that luxury. So the least I can do is tell them that I'm alive."
Stiff-person syndrome (SPS) is a rare neurological disorder characterised by muscular rigidity.
Following the diagnosis, Céline embarked on a course of rehabilitation, which included new medication, physical therapy, and immunotherapy.
In the lead-up to her upcoming residency at the Plenitude Arena in Paris, France, the My Heart Will Go On hitmaker shared that she has been doing regular Pilates sessions to help maintain her mobility.

Charlize Theron added a luxe twist to her slinky Celine cutout dress with Dior jewelry for her appearance at the Seoul premiere of "The Odyssey." The Academy Award-winning actress took to her official Instagram to share a carousel of photos of her look for the press event. Needless to say, the post gained thousands of likes and hype comments from fans.
Charlize Theron turned heads in Seoul with an ensemble that perfectly blended modern, architectural minimalism with high-fashion glamor. Styled in a sleek, statuesque black silhouette, she served a monochrome dressing moment, anchored by Dior jewelry.
She wore a black satin gown featuring a cutout in the bodice, which offered a glimpse of her toned midriff. It fell into a floor-length column skirt complete with functional side pockets. Further, the top extended into sweeping cape panels from the shoulders, falling into a dramatic, open-back cut.
While the garment offered clean lines and structural drama, the jewelry brought intricate texture and refined sparkle to the overall look. Styled by Leslie Fremar, Theron leaned into white gold and brilliant-cut diamonds from the My Dior Collection. It featured the house's iconic Cannage woven motif.
Slotted along her ear cartilage, My Dior Single Ear Jewel featured a double-band design. Crafted in white gold, it had the geometric Cannage lattice and was inlaid with diamonds. Framing her face, she paired the cuff with My Dior Earrings. These matching huggie-style hoop earrings were also in white gold, but did not feature any diamonds.

LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England — Europe captain Anna Nordqvist finalized her Solheim Cup team Monday by adding veteran Leona Maguire and three rookies as her picks for the Sept. 11-13 matches in The Netherlands.
Charley Hull of England easily earned one of the two automatic spots from the Ladies European Tour points list. The other went to Esther Henseleit of Germany, who surged to No. 2 in the final two events.
Henseleit finished fourth in the Women's Scottish Open and then lost in a playoff at the Women's British Open (points are double in a major) to narrowly beat Chiara Tamburlini of Switzerland for the second spot.
Henseleit's 40-foot birdie putt to force a playoff with AIG Women's Open winner Shiho Kuwaki wound up costing Tamburlini a spot. Even without making it on points, Henseleit would have made her second straight team as one of the leading six players in the world ranking.
Those six spots instead fell to Solheim rookie Lottie Woad of England, Maja Stark and Linn Grant of Sweden, Carlota Ciganda of Spain, Celine Boutier of France and Nanna Koertz Madsen of Denmark.

Just days before her 38th birthday on 8 August, Princess Beatrice has broken her cover for a low-key shopping trip to Fortnum & Mason in London.
Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's eldest daughter was spotted dressing in a casual high-street outfit as she blended in with crowds for her outing on 30 July. Choosing to flex her sustainable style credentials, Beatrice opted for one of her previous purchases from Kitri Studio, a deep blue midi dress with balloon sleeves and a belted waist.
The 'Joni' dress retails for £137.50, and Beatrice had previously worn it for a trip to Bluebird restaurant in London in May 2023. At the time, she teamed it with a black cross-body Celine bag and casual trainers, but Beatrice dressed it up with £50 Zara suede ballet flats for her most recent outing.
With her red hair left loose, falling in gentle waves past her shoulders, and her makeup kept minimal, Beatrice ensured she attracted minimal attention.
Princess Beatrice was spotted going under-the-radar in central London

Together, Expedia (EXPE) and Booking.com (BKNG) account for roughly half of the online travel agency market. While Booking's market capitalization of $139 billion dwarfs the roughly $32 billion market cap of its rival, Expedia stock has a spot on the Investor's Business Daily Breakout Stocks Index while Booking.com does not.
While both stocks recently reset their base counts, Expedia stands poised for a breakout, which would mark a record high. Meanwhile, Booking.com remains mired below its 200-day line.
Expedia's portfolio of brands includes Expedia for full-service booking, Hotels.com, specializing in hotels, and Vrbo to handle vacation rentals. Booking's portfolio includes Priceline, Agoda, Kayak, OpenTable, and Rentalcars.com.
While Hilton Worldwide (HLT) coined the term "Whycation," Expedia and Booking.com have both tapped into the trend of purpose-driven, goal-oriented getaways.
As part of its Unpack'26 report, Expedia also outlined its Set-Jetting Forecast, focusing on travel spots inspired by movies and TV shows. According to Expedia, 81% of Gen Z and millennial travelers now plan getaways based on TV shows and movies. Expedia also showcases Fan Voyage for sports travel and Farm Charm through its Vrbo business. Through Hotels.com, it also spotlights Salvaged Stays with retreats converted from architectural relics.

The travel giant's recent surge is grabbing headlines, yet its long-term behavior offers a more compelling reason for investors to pay attention.
With a 7.2% gain in just 5 trading days, Booking (BKNG) is having a moment, easily outpacing the S&P 500's 1.7% climb. The likely spark for this run is the recent news that Priceline, a major jewel in Booking's crown, is rolling out a highly advanced upgrade to its AI travel ***** istant, Penny. The update taps directly into the market's insatiable appetite for generative AI stories.
When a stock you're watching takes off like this, the instinct is powerful and simple: greed. It's the urge to jump on board before the train leaves the station for good.
But chasing a hot stock for next week's potential gain is a short-term game. The question that actually builds your wealth over the long haul is different. When you add Booking to your portfolio, are you buying a genuinely new source of returns, or just a more volatile version of the S&P 500 index fund you likely already own? How a stock behaves over years, not days, is what truly defines its role in your financial life.
