Hayden Panettiere's daughter, Kaya, made a rare court appearance amid the legal dispute over her mother's estate.
The 11-year-old attended the Los Angeles Superior Court hearing virtually on Oct. 8 alongside her father, Wladimir Klitschko, Panettiere's former fiancé, according to The **** ociated Press and People. Kaya reportedly briefly appeared on camera to confirm her identity to the judge.
She was "soft-spoken and composed," People reported. The proceedings centered on Klitschko's request for "immediate" guardianship of Panettiere's estate on behalf of Kaya, the sole beneficiary, alleging "non-family members" have been misappropriating the "Nashville" star's property.
The judge ultimately granted Klitschko temporary guardianship of the estate and set another court date for Dec. 7, noting Kaya would not need to be present.

Hayden Panettiere's jewelry has already been **** ed off after her death, according to her former fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko.
Panettiere, known for starring in TV shows Nashville and Heroes, died August 16 of an accidental drug overdose. She was 36.
In a new court filing, Klitschko requested temporary guardianship of the actor's estate on behalf of their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, and shared his concerns that Panettiere's belongings have been mishandled since she died in August.
Documents filed Monday read that Klitschko "believes that a non-family member previously connected to Hayden sold certain items belonging to Hayden, believed to include jewelry, to a **** shop," according to Entertainment Weekly
Klitschko, 50, said that the **** shop has refused to disclose specific information about the items without police contact — leading to his worries that remaining items could be "sold, transferred or otherwise rendered unrecoverable."

The Treasury Department said that over 60 million children have been automatically enrolled in Trump Accounts, according to guidance filed with the Federal Register.
"Millions of children have already enrolled in Trump Accounts. With automatic enrollment, over 60 million more eligible children now have an account ready to be claimed," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement.
The idea behind Trump Accounts is to give children a head start on building wealth. The accounts are a new type of tax-deferred individual retirement account for children. Any eligible child under 18 with a valid Social Security number can open an account, while U.S. citizens born between 2025 and 2028 may also qualify for a one-time $1,000 contribution from the government.
Until now, parents or guardians were required to sign up for accounts on their children's behalf. Participation has been low, however.

Sept 29 (Reuters) - The US Supreme Court on Tuesday let President Donald Trump's administration resume deporting migrants to countries other than their own without offering them the chance to show the harms they may face, bolstering a tool his administration has used for rapid expulsions as part of his immigration crackdown.
The court granted ‌the Justice Department's emergency request to put on hold Boston-based US District Judge Brian Murphy's ruling that the Department of Homeland Security's policy to remove migrants to so-called third ‌countries is unlawful. The court also agreed to hear arguments in the dispute in December, with a formal ruling on the policy to follow.
The court has a 6-3 conservative majority. Its three liberal justices dissented from the decision to let the deportations immediately resume pending the final outcome of the litigation.
Murphy's ruling came in a class-action lawsuit filed by immigrant rights groups on behalf of migrants seeking to prevent the US government from sending them to third countries without notice and a chance to **** ert the harms they could face.

GOOG trades at a P/E of 14 versus META's 24, with Cloud revenue surging 82% while META's operating margins collapsed from 43% to 31%.
META's Reality Labs bleeds roughly $4B per quarter, 2026 capex is projected between $130B and $145B, and active litigation makes it a volatile aggressive-growth bet rather than a retirement hold.
Just released. Our ******* ysts combed the entire stock market and named the ten best stocks to buy right now, and Google didn't make the cut. Enter your email to see the names that beat GOOG. The report is free. Enter your email and see if any of your stocks made the cut.
Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) just unleashed rival consumer AI agents (Google's family-focused CC, a shared agent supporting up to six family members, and Meta's single-user Muse, aiming for higher autonomy across a user's digital life, including commerce), and the retirement-focused investor writing one check today needs a clear answer: which mega-cap deserves the slot?
Both stocks are pouring tens of billions into AI infrastructure. Both consumer AI agents (not just chatbots) are designed to take real actions on a user's behalf rather than only answering questions. However, CC is a family-oriented productivity and logistics agent tightly tied to the Google ecosystem. Muse is a more general-purpose personal agent aiming for higher autonomy across a user's digital life, including commerce. They compete in the emerging "AI agent that actually does things" category, but target different use cases and user models.

Credit card companies are racing to claim a place at the checkout when AI agents start shopping on behalf of consumers—even as shoppers remain skeptical of letting bots spend their money.
Mastercard rolled out a payment option Thursday that lets people give an AI agent a virtual card and allow it to buy things online without checking in before each purchase. Cardholders can limit how much it spends, restrict which retailers it buys from, or require approval before checkout.
"This is a land grab for infrastructure standards," Phil Bruno, chief strategy and growth officer at payments company ACI Worldwide, told Fortune. "If they set the standards for agentic commerce, they can keep the commerce in their environments for decades to come."
Rival Visa partnered with Alchemy earlier this year and has also announced its own AI shopping and payment product, Visa Intelligent Commerce, which the company says is still being deployed. Similarly, Meta has Muse, which can search for products and navigate checkout, but presents the purchase for the user's final approval.
It seems, though, that shoppers appear far more interested in using AI to find a deal than letting it pay. Just 7% of U.S. and U.K. consumers surveyed who buy fashion items said they would allow an AI ***** istant to make purchases without approval under predefined conditions, according to research commissioned by ACI Worldwide. More than half said they were uncomfortable allowing AI to purchase on their behalf.

On September 9, 2026, Reuters reported that Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) rolled out Muse, a long-touted AI agent that can autonomously send emails, sell a car, and book travel on a person's behalf, despite internal concerns among Meta's own employees that the technology mismanages access to sensitive personal data. The agent is modeled on the open-source system OpenClaw and available initially only in the U.S. through a dedicated app or WhatsApp. It is designed to access apps across email, calendar, payments, health, shopping, and smart-home categories as the centerpiece of CEO Mark Zuckerberg's "personal superintelligence" strategy.
Muse could give Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) a new revenue stream beyond advertising by turning its massive user base into paying AI customers. The company launched Muse with a free tier and $20 and $100 monthly subscription options for heavier users. The agent can handle tasks such as sending emails, selling items, and booking travel. It gives Meta a direct way to monetize AI capabilities and diversify its revenue base.
The new AI agent could help Meta generate returns from its enormous AI infrastructure investment. Meta expects AI infrastructure spending to exceed $130 billion this year, increasing the importance of monetizing its AI capabilities. Meta can distribute Muse through WhatsApp and eventually connect it with smart glasses. It gives the company multiple ways to expand usage and build a broader consumer AI ecosystem.
Meta has strengthened Muse's safeguards before launching the product. It could support wider use. Meta delayed the launch from April to improve security and added an autonomous safety agent that monitors Muse's actions. Users can also control which apps Muse can access, while Meta plans an encrypted version. It gives the company a path to address security concerns as it expands the product.
Muse's security failures could damage consumer trust in a product that needs access to sensitive information. Internal testing uncovered an incident in which Muse exposed private iCloud photos. Employees also reported other security concerns. Such failures could discourage users from connecting email, payment, health, and other personal accounts, limiting subscription adoption and Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META)'s potential revenue from Muse.

Amazon Business is now a $60B operation serving 11 million customers worldwide. In this FreightWaves Today interview, Amazon Business exec Daniel Silverfield breaks down what that scale means for procurement, supplier consolidation, same-day grocery delivery and AI-driven savings. The big takeaway: business buyers want fewer suppliers, better visibility and less waste in purchasing. Silverfield explains how Amazon Business is pitching exactly that to everyone from small companies to Fortune 100s.
Amazon Business has hit $60 billion in annualized gross sales and now serves 11 million customers worldwide, with 1.8 million organizations added this year alone — a growth rate that puts it on par with a Fortune 100 company if it were standalone. The platform, which launched roughly a decade ago after Amazon noticed businesses already shopping on amazon.com, is increasingly central to how companies across sectors manage procurement, from office supplies to same-day groceries.
The scale matters to shippers, carriers, and brokers because Amazon Business is driving a fundamental shift in B2B purchasing behavior — consolidating supplier pools, centralizing data, and moving procurement from quarterly reporting cycles to an always-on, AI-powered model. Every order that migrates to the platform is one fewer touchpoint for traditional distributors and one more shipment flowing through Amazon's own logistics network.
Daniel Silverfield, head of value and selection for Amazon Business, said the platform saved customers $880 million on Prime free shipping last year and $1 billion through business-specific discounts. The company added 30% new items year over year and recently launched same-day grocery delivery across 2,300 U.S. cities in the first half of this year, a capability customers had been requesting for some time.
"The big shift that we're seeing is that people are moving to a continuous, always-on, conversational-powered procurement journey where agents may be looking for the best price while they're asleep, maybe negotiating on their behalf while they're asleep, and then surfacing to them the best product to buy," said Silverfield.

Britain's royal family has taken the unusual step of publicly challenging claims made by Princess Diana's brother, Earl Spencer, in his upcoming memoir.
Departing from the monarchy's traditional "never complain, never explain" approach, Buckingham Palace responded Wednesday to Spencer's recollection of a phone call between himself and King Charles, in the wake of Diana's death in 1997. According to Spencer, the call took place after Spencer objected to Prince William and Prince Harry, then 15 and 12, walking behind their mother's coffin at her funeral.
In an excerpt from the book Swan Song: Diana, My Sister published by Britain's Daily Mail, Spencer wrote, "He unleashed down the phone what I have always taken to be his pent-up contempt for Diana, and his horror that the world was so bowled over by her death. 'Rest ****** ured,' he hissed, 'we'll forget her soon enough.'"
While the palace didn't directly address whether the comment was made, the statement questioned the reliability of Spencer's recollection, saying, "While we do not comment on books as a matter of principle, His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and color memory in ways others do not recognize, even many years after such a loss."
The statement echoes the palace's reaction to claims made by Harry and Meghan Markle during their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey that an unnamed royal had made a remark about their son's skin color before he was born and that the monarchy failed to help a suicidal Meghan. A response issued on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II at that time said that "recollections may vary."

Alluvium ***** et Management, an ***** et management company, released its "Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund" second-quarter 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. The second quarter reflected a sharp shift from geopolitical uncertainty and oil market volatility to a powerful equity rally led by semiconductor companies. Despite the broader market strength, the Fund declined 1.4% in EUR terms, 2.2% in USD terms, and 3.9% in AUD terms. Portfolio results were mixed, with Alphabet benefiting from strong Cloud growth, while Robert Half, H&R Block and other holdings posted solid gains. However, cable businesses and several healthcare and consumer holdings weighed on performance. Also, check the fund's top five holdings to see its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund highlighted Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRT). Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRT) is an online auction and vehicle remarketing services company. On September 14, 2026, Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRT) closed at $30.75 per share. Over the past month, Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRT) returned 0.14%, while its shares lost 32.24% over the past 52 weeks. Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRT) has a market capitalization of $29.65 billion, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $26.81 and $48.96.
Conventum – Alluvium Global Fund stated the following regarding Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRT) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Once again, the most significant and interesting news for investors is a new position we initiated. On this occasion, it is Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPRT, the car wrecker turned auction platform (down 15.1% over the quarter). Copart has grown from a small single auto salvage yard in Vallejo, California in 1982 to a car auction technology platform selling over 4 million cars per year, predominantly on behalf of large insurance companies. We were alerted to this business by our quantitative screen - where it appeared a compelling opportunity (ten year sales growth of 17.4% and 19.1% profit growth, negligible debt, and mid 30's returns on invested capital), so we explored the business in greater depth. Our synopsis: It is a top notch business operating in a duopoly, but with little scope for domestic growth significant enough to move the needle. Most of Copart's revenue stems from its services to insurance companies for selling their vehicles which they classify to be "total losses". So, when it comes to ***** ysing the long term viability of its business, we think there are two key considerations. There is the likely growth rate of automobile accidents. We expect this to gradually decline as a result of increased adoption of autonomous driving, which is known to have lower crash rates than human-driven vehicles. Then there is the proportion of future collisions that are likely to result in cars being classified as "total losses". We expect this will continue its long term upward trend (driven by increased technology and high repair cos

Debt settlement is a debt relief strategy where you negotiate with creditors to pay less than the full amount you owe, often through a lump-sum payment. In some cases, a creditor will accept as little as 50% of your balance.
A successful debt settlement has the potential to save you money and get you out of debt, but it comes with serious trade-offs, including potential fees, damage to your credit, and tax liabilities. There's also no guarantee that your lender will agree to settle your debt.
It's important to understand these pros and cons to determine whether debt settlement is a viable path for you.
While you can pursue debt settlement on your own, there are companies that offer debt settlement services and negotiate directly with the lender on your behalf. Here are the steps you'll typically take to settle a debt:

BERLIN (AP) — Germany's federal prosecutor's office said Monday it had filed charges against a German-Ukrainian woman suspected of acting on behalf of Russian intelligence.
The woman, who was only identified as Ilona W. in line with German privacy rules, is accused of having been in contact with a full-time intelligence officer at the Russian Embassy in Berlin at least since Oct. 2023, the prosecutor's statement said.
The defendant ran a marketing agency in Berlin and was also the chairwoman of a lobbying group. As a result, she had an extensive network in military and political circles, prosecutors said.
Over the course of several years, the woman provided the intelligence officer at the Russian embassy with numerous tips about high-profile events and ensured that he could attend them — sometimes under a false name. This was intended to enable him to build his own network for intelligence purposes, the statement said.
To identify contacts and potential targets, she also attended such events herself. Furthermore, the defendant attempted to recruit individuals from the German Ministry of Defense and the defense industry for her own purposes, prosecutors alleged.

Manchester United supporters' group have revealed how they will protest during Sunday's Manchester derby.
The Red Army said there will be no flag display ahead of the game as part of a protest which follows the club's investigation into ticket touting.
United revealed they had banned 685 season tickets following a contentious probe which had been condemned by many, with protests already planned for Sunday afternoon.
The Red Army said they will make their own views known by removing their regular flag display in the Stretford End and replacing it with a single banner above the players' tunnel. It will read: "The way you treat us is a disgrace."
In a statement, the group said: "This isn't a 'TRA' message, it's a message on behalf of every genuine fan group, match-going supporter, supporters' club and fan representative who has either contacted us directly or been negatively impacted by the recent behaviour of the club.

LONDON – Another day, another royal drama.
Prince Harry and **** ss Meghan were surprised by a letter sent on behalf of King Charles on Sept. 7, USA TODAY understands. The letter clarified that there would be absolutely no change to their royal status, despite them moving back to Britain last month.
While palace sources told the BBC the duke and **** ss were made aware of the letter before it was made public, USA TODAY understands that this was not the case.
The letter said the couple, who stepped back from their senior roles within the royal family in 2020, will still not be able to use the "HRH" **** les of His and Her Royal Highness, and that they are considered "private citizens with commercial and charitable interests." The document underscored that there can be no half in/half out arrangement when it comes to the British royal family.
The letter, which was also shared with government and military officials on Monday, was seen by Harry and Meghan's team about an hour before it was shared by the British tabloids. The duke was in a meeting and, by the time his team could reach him, the letter was about to be shared publicly.

A royal expert has reportedly slammed Prince Harry as a "hitman" and expressed serious reservations about whether he would reconcile with Prince William. For those unversed, Harry and Meghan flew privately from California to Birmingham on August 26. The Sussexes will reportedly stay in the UK for an extended period of time. Multiple reports hinted that they are doing this to get close to the royal family. However, King Charles clarified via an official statement that the Sussexes will remain private individuals.
Royal author Andrew Morton alleged that Prince Harry has broken the royal family's trust. Not only that, he shared that Harry's chances of a reconciliation with Prince William are slim. The author dished to the Daily Express: "I've always argued that William saw, and so did Diana; they saw Harry as his wingman, and now he's turned into a hitman. And that's something which struck me very forcibly."
Morton explained that William is the future heir to the throne, the future king. Meanwhile, Harry is meant to show him support, and everybody in the royal family was counting on that. Unfortunately, the brothers' bond is so strained now that, according to multiple sources, there is no contact.
Furthermore, on the podcast Heirs & Spares, host Kinsey Schofield and Rupert Bell discussed Morton's comment and the impact Harry's seemingly careless behavior had on the royal family. Schofield asked whether the Duke of Sussex realizes how "harmful and hurtful" this is. Bell agreed, saying that William was probably counting on his younger brother's support when he becomes king.
Bell criticized the Sussexes, stating that they are power-hungry and will not support the Waleses when need be. Interestingly, in a new development, Lord Chamberlain issued a letter on King Charles' behalf, clarifying that the Sussexes will not be working royals.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship with the royal family will reportedly face renewed tension. The shift follows a pointed letter from King Charles. According to a royal expert, the Duke of Sussex will be left "angered" by official guidance clarifying his standing in the monarchy. The Sussexes previously sparked fresh speculation after returning to Britain with their family. While speculation remains about their future ties, Charles allegedly handed the couple a blunt statement confirming they remain non-working royals.
The firm directive from Buckingham Palace has reportedly dashed any lingering hopes of a hybrid role for the Sussexes. King Charles' official instruction to government and military officials could reportedly keep the Sussexes sidelined in the long run. Royal commentators writing for iNews recently revealed that the King issued a formal statement to establish clear boundaries.
According to reports, the letter was sent by the Lord Chamberlain on behalf of the King to government departments, military officials, lord lieutenants across Britain, and Harry and Meghan themselves. Although Harry is the King's son, the Palace allegedly wants no confusion about his non-working status moving forward.
Reports claimed that official guidance serves as a shut-down against rumors of a half-in, half-out royal plan. "Not a quiet word in your ear, not a private memo: no, this was a formal, blunt statement of fact sent to Harry on his father's orders," the report noted. The expert revealed that Palace officials strictly designed the public directive to shut down speculation.
Furthermore, the directive stated that Harry and Meghan's "HRH" ******* les remain in abeyance, preventing the couple from using them in any official capacity. Harry might hope to continue his charitable work in Britain. However, Buckingham Palace has completely ruled out official royal backing.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly worried about daily school runs for their kids, Archie and Lilibet. Although the Sussexes returned to the UK on August 26, they have seemingly come back without securing taxpayer-funded security. It has understandably fueled concern for the anxious parents about their children's safety.
A close friend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has reportedly voiced concern about daily school runs for their kids on the couple's behalf. A friend dished to The Telegraph: "It is absolutely the biggest area of concern. It creates the most dangers." Although the Sussexes returned to the UK on August 26, they have seemingly come back without securing taxpayer-funded security. It has understandably fuelled concern for the anxious parents about their children's safety.
According to the outlet, Archie and Lilibet's school has already been notified of their attendance. Not only that, teachers are already mandated to follow specific instructions. Additionally, the school is required to follow certain rules and procedures for maintaining the children's protection.
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are reportedly awaiting a definite response regarding their taxpayer-funded security from the UK's Home Office. According to the outlet, the couple would like to know if they are eligible for police protection now that they are residing in Britain. Notably, the Sussexes were previously denied protection rights during visits to the UK.
Scott Hamer, a former Metropolitan Police royalty and specialist protection officer, showed his support for the Duke of Sussex. He told the outlet: "If there is a credible threat to him and his family, it should be objectively ****** sed. If there is a genuine risk, the state should provide protection. If not, that's fine, but let him know."

Stephen A. Smith has opened up about his relationship with former ESPN colleague Cari Champion, claiming he played a key role in helping her land her job at the network.
Smith made the comments while discussing Champion's remarks about their relationship, with the veteran sports media personality appearing frustrated that his past efforts on her behalf have not been acknowledged.
According to Smith, he did not know Champion before she arrived at ESPN but became involved when she was being considered for a role on First Take. He claims he approached Skip Bayless and asked him to support Champion coming on board.

Layla Murray, fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs punter Matt Araiza, became the topic of discussion on the internet as she responded to Daejon Love's allegations on behalf of a woman dating a player in the National Football League (NFL).
Murray began her debunking with facts from league documentation, including public rosters, injured reserve lists, and practice squads.
"Let's debunk some of the things Daejon Love claims to do or be as someone dating an actual NFL player. First off, he claims to be injured. All these years, he would be on the IR for the Forty Niners, and you would see his name online on the IR practice squad and the staff," Murray pointed out.
She continued with equipment, as players do not usually bring helmets from the field after practice.
"For all public information, my fiancé does not bring his helmet home from practice. The only time I've ever seen him with his helmet at home was in the off-season, and he did train with his helmet on, but with other players and just a punt or at a park alone," Murray explained.
