Rumer Willis, eldest daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, is asking the court to place some limitations on her ex Derek Richard Thomas' visits with their daughter Louetta.
The House Bunny actress is pushing back against a court ruling that expanded the scope of Thomas' visitation rights with their daughter.
Willis filed an emergency request seeking to keep her ex's visits with daughter Louetta supervised. The dispute stemmed from when the court-assigned nanny for Louetta had to stop working and Thomas allegedly refused to accept a replacement. Willis alleged that Thomas at one point would not allow a court-ordered supervisor into his home.
The emergency request came after the court granted Willis primary physical custody of their daughter back in June. The ruling also planned for Thomas' monitored visits to transition to overnight unmonitored visits this month.
Willis has demanded the postponement of the unsupervised visits. According to court documents obtained by E! News, Willis has accused her ex of repeatedly violating court orders and making "unsafe decisions" involving Louetta. She also noted that Thomas had completed only five and a half supervised visits with his daughter. According to her, the visitations, which began on June 20, could not be completed due to disputes over court-assigned nannies.

Rumer Willis has asked a judge to keep her ex Derek Thomas' visits with their daughter supervised.
She claims he has repeatedly violated custody orders and exercised dangerous judgment around their child, TMZ reports.
According to court documents, Willis filed an emergency request seeking to prevent supervised visitation from ending while the court considers the ongoing dispute.
The eldest daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore claims Thomas' supervised visits, which began on 20 June, have only amounted to five and a half sessions because of various disputes involving the nannies ***** igned to supervise his time with their three-year-old.
The filing raises additional concerns about what Willis characterises as unsafe decisions involving their daughter. She claims Thomas wanted to cross a five-lane highway with a 55mph speed limit while accompanied by the child, and allegedly chose to walk approximately two and a half miles in extreme heat rather than rent a car.
The 90210 actor is asking the court to immediately continue supervised visitation and prevent overnight visits until a hearing can be held.

Audrey Hepburn was a legendary actor and humanitarian. But she was also a major fashion and beauty muse who made a huge impact on Hollywood and pop culture, even long after her death. In fact, some of Audrey Hepburn's biggest skincare secrets are still so useful today. What you may not have known, however, is that she has an equally gorgeous and talented granddaughter named Emma Ferrer (full name Emma Kathleen Hepburn Ferrer). Ferrer shares many similar traits with her famous grandmother, including the fact that they both studied ballet and pursued artistic endeavors. However, Ferrer took a different path, pursuing visual arts rather than acting, and she has a sleek signature style all her own.
Theo Wargo/Getty
Hepburn was often known for wearing cigarette pants, turtlenecks, and flats that were sleek and very trendy at the time. For her more formal looks, Hepburn was often seen in elegant and feminine A-line gowns (though column dresses were also a favorite of hers). Ferrer, though, has played around with more modern styles and doesn't shy away from shorter, form-fitting dresses and strappy heels — quite a departure from her grandmother's wardrobe. The artist has also shared photos of her outfits on Instagram, where she favors casual, menswear-inspired styles (much like Diane Keaton's iconic "Annie Hall" look).

Better Mortgage and Coinbase (NASDAQ: $COIN) have moved their token-backed conforming mortgage into general availability, taking a product that closed its first Bitcoin-backed Fannie Mae loan in June into a broader nationwide offering for Coinbase One members.
The mortgages are originated and serviced by Better and powered by Coinbase, with the first lien structured under Fannie Mae guidelines as a standard conforming home loan. The crypto-backed portion sits alongside that mortgage, allowing qualified borrowers to pledge digital **** ets toward the down payment without first selling their holdings.
Coinbase One members approved for a Better loan can also receive a lender-funded credit equal to 1% of the mortgage value, capped at $10,000. Better said the credit now extends beyond the token-backed product to standard mortgages, home equity lines of credit and refinances.

Democratic strategist Chuck Rocha said Wednesday he expected President Trump's endorsement of Sen. Darline Graham (R-S.C.) to lead to a wider margin of victory for her in Tuesday's GOP Senate runoff.
Rocha explained in an appearance on NewsNation's "Cuomo" that he thought Graham would win but "didn't think it would be this close" given Trump backed the senator.
She defeated Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) by just less than 5 points in the state's runoff, securing a spot on the general election ballot in place of her brother, the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
The GOP nominee will now face Democrat Annie Andrews in the general election, with Decision Desk HQ giving the Republican an 81 percent chance to win as of Tuesday.
Rocha, who advised Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) during his two unsuccessful presidential campaigns, noted that Darline Graham's narrow runoff victory does not lead him to believe Andrews will win.

Tim Curry's interesting connection to the late Princess Diana has re-emerged after his death. The British actor tragically passed away on August 25, aged 80. Curry was best known for portraying Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The legendary British actor once reportedly confessed that Diana had revealed to him that she was a fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Tim Curry had reportedly previously admitted that the late Princess Diana was a fan of his work. During a past interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Curry shared how he met Diana and her then-husband, Prince Charles, after a show he'd performed in at the Royal National Theatre. As per the late actor, Charles didn't know much about his career, for he asked if he had been on television. However, the late Princess of Wales had no trouble recognizing Curry.
The Charlie's Angels star confessed he was surprised that Diana was familiar with his work. He asked her: "I don't suppose you saw it." The late Princess showed off her wit and quick sense of humor, stating: "Of course I did. It quite completed my education." The resurfaced story also prompted reactions from fans, with one commenter joking that the anecdote "should've made an appearance in The Crown." Another praised Diana as "a real one."
Interestingly, this isn't the first time the Annie star dished about his encounter with Princess Diana. He previously revealed to Fresh Air radio that Diana had requested to meet him after he performed in a production of Love For Love in Vienna. Notably, Charles and Diana were guests of honor at the production. Curry lavished praise on the late Princess, stating: "She was a very funny girl, and a very beautiful one. And sort of the – a very wicked smile came with that sentence. She was great fun."

Two Sophie Cunningham fans were asked Sunday to cover shirts supporting the Indiana Fever guard and her stance on transgender athletes participating in women's sports. According to the fans, they were given a choice: comply or leave State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
The incident took another turn when another fan wearing a shirt supporting transgender athletes was reportedly also asked by WNBA security to cover the message.
The league later acknowledged that its security made a mistake, but the explanation did little to settle questions from Cunningham supporters about whether the WNBA is applying its standards consistently.
Kasey Thomason wore an "XX/XY" shirt, while her daughter, Annie Thomason, had "For the Girls" printed on the back of her shirt during the Fever-Atlanta Dream game.
In an interview with YouTuber Adam Francisco, Kasey said the pair were doing nothing more than cheering for Cunningham when they were told to cover their shirts or leave the arena.

A mother and daughter from Georgia attending the Indiana Fever's victory over the Atlanta Dream on Sunday, Aug. 17, in Atlanta say they were "made to cover up" their T-shirts by league security staff at the arena.
Video captured inside State Farm Arena and posted on social media shows Kasey Thomason and her daughter Annie covering up their XX-XY shirts with shirts provided by the Dream.
XX-XY Athletics, which bills itself as a brand "here to protect women's sports and ***** es," was founded by former gymnast and former Levi Strauss chief marketing officer Jennifer Sey. XX-XY has also organized rallies around WNBA games this season in "Support of Sophie Cunningham" after the Fever star made comments about transgender athletes participating in women's sports.
In a statement provided to USA TODAY Sports, the WNBA said the fans shouldn't have been made to cover their clothing.
"The WNBA is aware of interactions at last night's game in Atlanta in which fans were asked by league security to cover their shirts," a league spokesperson said. "This should not have happened."

Prince Harry shared a touching moment with singer Sydnie Christmas after her performance at a Vancouver charity gala. The "Britain's Got Talent" winner said the Duke of Sussex approached her after she left the stage and gave her a warm hug. He also reportedly told her that he "felt every word" of her performance. For Christmas, the unexpected exchange became one of the most memorable moments of the evening.
Prince Harry was seated in the front row with Meghan Markle when Sydnie Christmas took the stage at David Foster's charity gala in Vancouver over the weekend. The singer, who won "Britain's Got Talent" in 2024, performed two emotional songs that appeared to leave an impression on the Duke.
Christmas sang Frank Sinatra's "My Way" before performing "Tomorrow" from "Annie." Both songs deal with perseverance and overcoming adversity, giving her set an emotional quality that apparently resonated with Harry.
There was also a lighter moment before the performance ended. Christmas joked about having met King Charles and told the audience, "Sorry he couldn't make it. He sent me instead." She later admitted that she tends to say "such silly things" when she gets nervous, but said Harry laughed at the remark.
The interaction took a more personal turn once she finished singing. According to Christmas, Harry came forward as she stepped off the stage and gave her a hug. "He just went in for the hug and I was like, 'Why not?'" Christmas told The Sun. She said the Duke then gave her a "big cuddle" before sharing his reaction to her performance. "He went, 'Sydnie, I felt every word. I really felt that in the back of my throat,'" she recalled.

Tommy Fury has faced criticism after questioning Kim Kardashian's reported reliance on a large childcare team before acknowledging that he and Molly-Mae Hague also receive help raising their children.
The boxer discussed Kardashian's household with his father, John Fury, on the BBC video podcast What the Fury?!. Their conversation began with a media claim that Kardashian has "10 nannies and mannies" helping care for the four children she shares with Kanye West.
John argued that people who cannot look after their children themselves should not have them, while Tommy questioned parents who leave their children with childcare staff throughout the day.
Tommy then acknowledged that he and Hague have help with their three-year-old daughter Bambi and infant son Midas.
During the BBC discussion, Tommy read out a claim stating that Kardashian had "10 nannies and mannies raising Kim Kardashian's kids." "If you can't look after these kids yourself, don't have them," John responded.

Kimberly Williams-Paisley just honored her former on-screen mom, Diane Keaton, in the sweetest way. The actress revealed that she bought Keaton's hat and gloves at auction and wore them in a touching Annie Hall-inspired photo shoot.

When I walk into a restaurant or store, I don't want a canned greeting. Having workers yell "welcome to Moe's," or watching Texas Roadhouse waiters have to stop waiting on people to do a line dance makes me want to leave.
I like Jordan, the drive-through guy at my Starbucks, who does funny voices, but also actually has a real human interaction with me. I don't, however, need him to write a message on my cup because it's a corporate rule.
These forced sayings, routines, and interactions aim to boost brand consistency and create a distinctive and memorable experience, but that's not always a positive.
"When they create scripts they're essentially trying to mandate behavior — but it backfires more often than it doesn't," Experience Investigators CEO Jeannie Walters told Restaurant Dive. "It's pretty obvious when somebody is not talking like a human would talk."
It's easy to understand why chains want friendly workers and shareable moments, but there's a better way to make them happen, and Trader Joe's may have found a better way.

Trump's $200 billion GSE order drove mortgage rates below 6% by March 2026, but resumed U.S.-Iran fighting erased those gains by July.
WTI crude surged nearly 10% in one day, pushing gas above $4 and driving Treasury yields higher, lifting mortgage rates to a wartime high of 6.75%.
Economists warn that draining the $200 billion GSE cash reserve could leave the housing finance system more vulnerable to a future downturn.

On January 8, 2026, President Trump signed an executive order directing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to deploy $200 billion in existing conservatorship cash to buy mortgage-backed securities. FORT DODGE — The hopes of bringing home the program's second 3A state softball ****** le ended for Albia at the hands of a team that has won the last two 2A state championships.
For the second time in three days, big blows by the bats of Van Meter proved to be too much for the Lady Dees to overcome. Jilly Wosmansky delivered a go-ahead three-run home run in the third inning for the sixth-ranked Bulldogs while Annie Netten added a two-run homer in the top of the seventh, clinching a 7-2 win over third-ranked Albia advancing to the final four of the Class 3A state softball tournament on Wednesday.
"We knew we were going to have to play a nearly perfect game to win and we didn't do that," Albia head softball coach Larry Achenbach said. "We had some base-running mistakes, they had big hits when they needed them and that was the difference."
Van Meter (34-7) advanced to face No. 2 Dubuque Walhert (37-6) later on Wednesday afternoon on Iowa Central Field inside the Harlan and Hazel Rogers Sports Complex. To make it to the Class 3A state championship game, the reigning two-time 2A state champs needed to beat Walhert twice.
Albia, meanwhile, brings the curtain down on one of the best seasons in program history. The Lady Dees finished with an overall 33-3 record, one victory shy of the most in any single season for an Albia softball team.

You may have heard that you need a 20% down payment to buy a home, but that isn't the case. In reality, many types of mortgage loans allow for a lot less. One of the most common low-down-payment options is the 3%-down conventional loan, which allows you to put down just 3% of the purchase price when taking out a mortgage.
MORE: See our top picks for mortgage lenders accepting low or no down payments.
The 3%-down mortgage is a type of conventional loan called a conforming loan. These are offered by private mortgage lenders, but their rules are set by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) that keep money flowing into the mortgage market by purchasing loans and selling them later on to investors.
Conventional loans are offered by most mortgage lenders and are the most common type of mortgage in the U.S. According to Home Mortgage Disclosure Data, they accounted for roughly 9.2 million of the 12.2 million mortgage loans issued in 2024.

Mortgage recasting permanently lowers your monthly payment by applying a lump sum to principal while keeping your original rate and skipping closing costs.
FHA, VA, and USDA loans cannot be recast. Only conventional Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and most jumbo portfolio loans qualify for re-amortization.
A recast lowers your payment but not your loan term, and the lump sum immediately becomes illiquid equity, so you should only use funds you won't need.
Many financial professionals are salespeople paid on what they push, not whether you end up wealthier. A fiduciary is the opposite. The SEC legally requires them to put your interests first. Advisor.com's free matching tool pairs you with vetted fiduciaries from major national firms, all in under three minutes. See who you match with today.
If you have a conventional mortgage, your lender is probably sitting on a ***** on that can shrink your monthly payment permanently. It is called a mortgage recast (or re-amortization), and it lets you lower your mortgage payment without refinancing, without closing costs, and without a credit check. Most banks will do it for a flat fee, often a few hundred dollars, and they almost never advertise it.

Barbara Eden reflected on her experience working alongside Elvis Presley, saying the music icon never received the recognition she believes he deserved as an actor.
The I Dream of Jeannie star, 94, also worked on films alongside screen legends including Presley, Paul Newman and Fred Astaire.
In 1960, she was cast alongside Presley in the western Flaming Star. Featuring just two songs, the dramatic film was a big change from his previous musical comedy, G.I. Blues, which included 11 songs and spawned a best-selling soundtrack released the same year.
Flaming Star was not a huge box office hit, and Presley was then pushed back into musical films for the remainder for his screen roles.
But speaking to Entertainment Weekly during Project Angel Food's Lead With Love telethon, Eden praised her former costar's dramatic abilities and suggested his film career could have taken a different path.

AGNC Investment Corp. (NASDAQ: AGNC), one of the largest mortgage real estate investment trusts (mREITs) in America, pays a massive forward dividend yield of 13.1%. Is that high yield a bright red flag, or is AGNC actually a safe income play for long-term investors?
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Unlike equity REITs, which buy properties and lease them out to generate income, mREITs buy mortgages and mortgage-backed securities (MBS) to collect interest. To insulate itself from another credit crunch or housing market crash, AGNC allocates 89% of its $94.7 billion portfolio to Agency MBS ****** ets backed by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or Ginnie Mae. REITs and mREITs also must pay out at least 90% of their taxable income as dividends to maintain a lower tax rate.
To generate stable profits, mREITs must earn sufficient interest on their long-term MBS to cover the debt financing of their short-term MBS purchases. This strategy works as long as the housing market remains stable and the Fed's short-term rates remain lower than its long-term rates.
To see how sustainable AGNC's dividend is, we should check its net interest spread, or the gap between the average yield it earns on its MBS and the average costs of funding its ongoing purchases, and the ability of its net spread and dollar roll income (the profit it books from its ongoing sales and purchases of MBS) per share to cover its dividends.
