We now have a better idea of exactly who the biggest creators are on social media. ESHAP and What's Trending have partnered to unveil the second annual Creator Map, a guide to the biggest creators by platform. And TheWrap has your first look at their findings.
The Creator Map will be unveiled later today at the first Jupiter Festival Miami, which is sponsored by YouTube. Evan Shapiro, media cartographer and ESHAP founder and CEO; Shira Lazar, What's Trending founder and CEO; and Jon Goss, CEO of the Lighthouse will unveil the project on the main stage of the event.
Described as the "definitive visual guide to the creator ecosphere," the Creator Map offers a data-informed view of the creator economy, an industry that can often feel confusing and chaotic from an outsider perspective. For the first time, the top 200 creators across Instagram, YouTube and TikTok will have both their follower counts and Affinity Quotient scores published on the map. Sponsored by Whalar Group and with data powered by Whalar's creator operating system Foam, the Affinity Quotient measures the depth of audience engagement and places a greater emphasis on active signals such as shares and saves than on passive interactions. That's an important insight as engagement rather than follower count has become the top metric in the creator economy. The Creator Affinity 100 list was first presented at this this year's IBC and identified 100 creators generating the greatest affinity among their audiences.
The map also identifies top creators across Snap, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Twitch, Pinterest and Rumble, along with the top Substack publishers and podcasters. Additionally, it identifies some of the top agencies, studios, technology tools, payment platforms and other companies powering the creator ecosystem. Check it out below:

Halle Berry's daughter, Nahla Aubry, has defended her mother against child abuse allegations.
Last week, the Oscar-winning actress's ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, filed legal documents in which he alleged Berry had recently physically attacked their 12-year-old son Maceo.
A Los Angeles County judge granted the Unfaithful star a temporary restraining order, requiring Berry to stay 100 yards (91 metres) from him until the next hearing on 16 October.
The Catwoman actress denied all allegations made by Martinez, and in a declaration obtained by People on Wednesday, Nahla insisted Berry is a "loving and devoted parent".
"I never observed anything abusive about her parenting," the 18-year-old began. "I have never seen my mom hit, slap, choke, grab, or physically abuse Maceo in any way. I have never seen my mom place her hands around Maceo's neck, put him in a chokehold, restrict his breathing, or engage in any conduct remotely resembling the allegations that have been made against her."
Additionally, Nahla emphasised that Berry has "always made time for" her two children alongside her work commitments and "coordinates" their schedules so they can spend as much time together as possible.

When a caller mentioned that they are thinking about adding to their position in Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG) during the October 2 episode of Mad Money, Jim Cramer commented:
I think you're absolutely right... I want you to add to the Simon Property Group... What a great man he (David Simon, previous CEO) was, and he built a fabulous company, and you should buy more of it.
A September 8 question about buying Simon Property Group led Cramer to bring another real estate stock into the conversation.
Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG) reported second-quarter real estate funds from operations of $3.29 per diluted share, up 7.9% year-over-year. Domestic property net operating income increased 8.5%. Occupancy at its U.S. malls and premium outlets remained at 96%, while base minimum rent increased 6.3% to $62.42 per square foot. Management raised its full-year real estate funds from operations outlook to $13.20 - $13.30 per share. These figures show rent and property-income growth without requiring an increase in occupancy. Leasing activity also remained substantial. During the earnings call, management reported signing approximately 1,200 leases covering more than 4.8 million square feet, with new-deal volume increasing more than 20%.
Stable occupancy does not mean every tenant is healthy. Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG) absorbed approximately one million square feet of ****** e returned through retailer bankruptcies during the quarter. Management said it successfully re-leased the ****** e, helping maintain occupancy. That shows leasing strength, but also a reminder of the work required to preserve rental income. Additional retailer failures could bring more vacancies and replacement costs, even when demand for the properties remains sound.

Princess Diana's friend has slammed Charles Spencer's book, "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister," dedicated to his late sister. For those unversed, Spencer penned a memoir chronicling Princess Diana's experience being married to King Charles, dealing with intense media scrutiny and her tragic passing. Ever since the book was released on September 22, it has been making headlines.
Princess Diana's friend berated Charles Spencer and branded him as "deeply disloyal" for writing a book about his late sister. In a 1998 TV special with Sally Magnusson, Spencer had declared that he would never profit off his sister's death and thought it was "low."
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward was once a good acquaintance of Diana and had spent time with her shortly before her tragic death in 1997. Seward told The Royal Observer's Palace Unfiltered: "I think that Charles has been deeply disloyal, writing about his sister, putting himself up there, and then to attack the king was so unnecessary. I don't know if what he's saying is accurate, but you know, memory does change over the years."
The Daily Mail published an excerpt, detailing an explosive phone call between Spencer and King Charles over Diana's funeral preparations. As per Spencer, Charles retorted, saying: "Rest **** ured, we will forget her soon enough."
Diana's brother said he was "stunned" by Charles' harsh words for the mother of his children. Additionally, he also claimed the King sounded "giddily elated, like a lottery winner," just after her death.

American Tower Corporation (NYSE:AMT) traded at around $165 on October 6, within five dollars of its 52-week low of $160.06.
The company keeps 45.41% of revenue as operating profit on a portfolio of communications towers leased to wireless carriers. A business that profitable sitting at a 52-week low is usually a disagreement about the future rather than the present.
READ ALSO: What is eBay's (EBAY) Economic Moat, and is it Widening or Narrowing?
A tower is difficult to replicate for reasons that have nothing to do with engineering. Local authorities restrict where new structures can go, so an existing site near a highway or a dense suburb cannot simply be copied next door.
The economics follow from that scarcity. The first tenant on a tower covers the construction and the ground lease, and each additional tenant is close to pure margin. Gross margin of 73.77% is what that layering produces, and the 45.41% operating margin is what survives after the overheads.

The Trump administration is struggling to get clear answers about the death of a Russian laboratory worker at an institute dedicated to studying the plague and has formally escalated its request for information from the country, amid days of stonewalling from Russian officials about the mysterious circumstances surrounding the episode.
The death of the technician at the Irkutsk Research Anti-Plague Institute of Siberia immediately raised alarms throughout the administration, prompting a race to compile intel and plot for a potential public health response, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.
But Russia’s reluctance to share information about the incident has complicated those efforts, leaving officials uncertain what broader risks it could pose — and how exactly to defend the US against them.
The US escalated its request for information, issuing a formal diplomatic communication, called a démarche, a source familiar told CNN late Tuesday.
“We have officially requested additional information from the Russian government,” a State Department spokesperson said. “We are also in official communication with other countries around the world to share information.”

Dividend-paying stocks are taking a beating as surging Treasury yields make bonds a more competitive income source, creating a difficult environment for baby boomers who lean on dividend funds and individual stocks to cover living expenses in retirement.
Utilities, real estate, and materials have all experienced share-price declines as climbing bond yields have drawn income-seeking investors away from dividend stocks. The 10-year Treasury yield has remained north of 5%, recently hovering between 5.2% and 5.3%, while the 20-year has hit 5.68% and the 30-year has reached 5.62% — marks last seen more than two decades ago, according to Benzinga.
The pain shows up clearly in fund performance. The Invesco S&P 500 High Dividend Low Volatility ETF (SPHD) lost 7.59% over the trailing month, and the iShares Select Dividend ETF (DVY) shed 6.02% in the same window, according to CNBC. The Vanguard High Dividend Yield Index ETF (VYM) gave back 3.85% over the past month. The WisdomTree U.S. Quality Dividend Growth Fund (DGRW) stands apart, with its heavy tilt toward technology helping limit its one-month loss to just 0.81%.
The Federal Reserve raised its overnight rate by a quarter percentage point on Sept. 16, and markets are pricing in additional increases, keeping pressure on rate-sensitive dividend sectors. The 10-year yield touched 5.342% and the 30-year reached 5.683%, their highest marks in 24 years, driven in part by rising public debt, geopolitical tensions, and the prospect of a prolonged high-rate environment.
Despite the pressure, financial advisors caution retirees against making reactive moves. "The worst thing that a retiree could do is sell a high-quality dividend payer at depressed prices to chase income somewhere else in the stock market just to get higher yield," Timothy Chubb, chief investment officer at Girard, a Univest Wealth Division, told CNBC. Chubb said he would rather own a company growing 4% to 5% annually with a 3% dividend yield than pursue an 8% yield from a deteriorating business.

Google and Constellation Energy announced a 20-year power purchase agreement on Tuesday to bring 890 megawatts of new nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid, with Constellation committing more than $4.3 billion to fund the build-out.
The capacity will be generated through turbine, steam generator, and digital control system upgrades at 11 Constellation nuclear units in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, the companies said. The first uprate is expected to be delivered by 2028. The agreement is expected to sustain roughly 4,400 existing jobs and create approximately 7,200 new construction jobs during the building period.
Alongside the power purchase agreement, the companies entered into a separate 15-year energy supply agreement covering an additional 2,700 megawatts from Constellation's existing fleet in the PJM market, the company said.
"We're committed to meeting our growth responsibly by actively investing in clean, reliable power that brings new capacity to our nation's grids," Amanda Peterson Corio, global head of energy and power at Google, said in a statement. "Our agreement with Constellation to fund nuclear reactor uprates will strengthen the PJM grid, which serves 67 million people, all while protecting energy affordability and supporting local union jobs."
Joe Dominguez, chairman, president and CEO of Constellation, said in a statement that the collaboration "can serve as a model for how technology companies and the energy industry can work together to responsibly develop the digital economy."

Sarah Ferguson reportedly wants King Charles and senior royals to "throw her a bone" before she considers other options. The former **** ss of York was said to be delaying a tell-all while hoping for renewed royal acceptance.
A source claimed she still believed there was "a place for her within the royal family." However, the insider warned that continued exclusion could change her position. Her reported strategy mixed loyalty, leverage, and hopes for a royal comeback.
As per a Closer Online report, Sarah reportedly reconsidered her options. The source said Earl Spencer's memoir offered "a good reminder" of the disruption a royal tell-all could create. Moreover, the insider claimed Sarah's long history with the royals gave her considerable material. They said she could potentially do "a lot more damage to the King's legacy" than Spencer. Still, a spokesperson firmly denied a current memoir project. The representative said, "She is not writing a personal memoir."
However, the insider claimed Sarah Ferguson was keeping that possibility available while hoping for another route. The source said she was "holding off on a book deal for now." According to them, Sarah remained convinced "there's still a place for her within the royal family." She reportedly hoped loyalty would persuade King Charles and others to "cut her a break." That could mean "a path back towards respectability" or "at the very least a place to live." Meanwhile, the source said she still had "the tell-all up her sleeve" if that effort failed.
Additionally, the insider claimed Sarah was sending messages toward both Charles and Prince William. She was reportedly "imploring William and Charles to throw her a bone." The source added that she did not want to "go against the family if she can help it." Still, the report said Sarah could pursue other money-making opportunities if reconciliation failed. Those possibilities reportedly included reality television and rebuilding her social media profile. For now, Buckingham Palace had made no direct statement about Sarah. Meanwhile, senior royals had reportedly continued distancing themselves from the former York household.

The size of your Social Security check changes the nest egg you need more than any differences between states.
Under the 4% rule, each additional $100 a month in benefits cuts the savings a single retiree needs by about $30,000, regardless of state.
A maximum earner who delays to 70 can cover the average comfortable budget on Social Security alone, with essentially nothing saved—but very few qualify for the maximum benefit.
For a single retiree, your monthly Social Security benefit shapes the savings you need more than your address does—there's no second check to fall back on.
But regional costs of living matter, too. An Investopedia ******* ysis of federal cost and benefit data found that the savings a typical single American age 65 or older needs for a comfortable retirement is about $898,000. The least expensive state, North Dakota, runs about $644,000, while the priciest, New Jersey, costs about $1.02 million—a spread of about $375,000.

Dolly Parton's estate says yellow caution tape and barbed wire crisscrossed the steps to her nephew Bryan Seaver's front door as a process server was making repeated attempts to serve him with a lawsuit accusing him of using a "campaign of threats" to "extract money" from the late music icon's business interests.
Lawyers for the estate filed a photo of the alleged barricade as they urged a judge to deny Seaver's request for additional time to find a lawyer in the messy legal dispute. They also argued that Seaver's security company missed a deadline last week to challenge an emergency restraining order granted in the case, so the order should therefore be converted into a permanent injunction covering both the company and Seaver himself, as its chief. A hearing on the matter is set for Friday, Oct. 9, unless the court grants Seaver's request for more time to hire an attorney.

The US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) dropped by almost 800,000 barrels last week, and the Trump administration moved forward with plans to sell another 40 million barrels in the coming months.
New data released on Monday by the US Department of Energy showed the US energy backstop sitting at 283 million barrels, down from 283.77 million the week prior.
That leaves about two weeks of US oil consumption in the reserve amid widespread worries about global stockpiles, which the head of Saudi Arabia's state producer on Monday called "scarily thin."
Amin Nasser, chief executive of Saudi Aramco, added at an Energy Intelligence Forum in London on Monday that releasing stockpiles will buy economies some time but won't fix the imbalances that have developed between supply and demand.
Yet these withdrawals in the US could soon accelerate after the Trump administration unveiled a request for bids from companies to buy up to 40 million barrels of crude oil from the SPR, with the aim of having the companies return those supplies "with additional premium barrels." The solicitation process is ongoing, and it's unclear if companies will agree to those terms.

A US man who once appeared on the TV talent competition American Idol has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering his wife.
Caleb Flynn, 40, was found guilty last week after a short deliberation by the jury, which rejected his claim that an intruder broke into his Ohio home and shot his wife, Ashley Flynn, as she slept.
He was also found guilty of eight additional charges, including aggravated murder and tampering with evidence.
Letters from his two daughters were read in court during the sentencing hearing on Monday, pleading with him to finally admit his guilt and questioning why he killed their mother.
Flynn, a former music pastor, fatally shot his wife, a 37-year-old teacher, in February before staging their home in Tipp City to appear as if someone had broken in through the garage.

Tiffany Trump's toddler son Alexander is adorable in new photos with his mom. The youngest daughter of President Donald Trump took to Instagram on October 1 to share a carousel of photos to mark the end of September. It included a few pictures from her recent trip to India and snaps from the state dinner at the White House.
Tiffany Trump flaunted a full-glam look in the cover photo of her carousel. She wore a fluffy white robe as she smiled at the camera, with her long blonde hair styled in loose waves. The second slide captured her standing in Central Park holding her toddler son, Alexander, in her arms. She wore a dark brown leather jacket, jeans, and brown suede buckle boots. Meanwhile, Alexander was dressed casually in a white shirt, light pants, and white slip-on shoes.
In another picture, Alexander stood cheerfully in front of a custom-built, light-blue playhouse labeled with his name above the door. The little boy wore a light-blue striped polo, white shorts, and navy shoes, raising both hands with a big smile. The house featured a dark blue front door, white trim, small shutters, and flower boxes filled with blue hydrangeas.
The 32-year-old also shared a cute snap of the toddler running indoors wearing only a diaper and her father's necktie draped loosely around his neck. The black-and-white picture captured the 16-month-old mid-run with a big grin on his face.
Additionally, the dump included a family portrait of Tiffany Trump, Michael Boulos, and their son, Alexander. It was from their trip to Mumbai, where they attended the Ambani family's lavish Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. In the picture, the couple was all smiles, with the toddler sitting in his father's lap. The little boy wore a bright red top and white pants, while his mother wore a beautiful lehenga.

Cornell University police spoke to witnesses and received anonymous tips about an alleged gang rape at a fraternity house in the first weeks of its investigation two years ago, but the local prosecutor did not review the additional information before deciding not to bring charges.
Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten said he based his decision not to pursue charges on the accuser’s initial six-page statement given to police.
Investigators from the campus police department documented those witness interviews and other steps taken to determine whether Jane Doe, a 20-year-old woman who reported the incident, was the victim of ***** ual ***** ault during a party at the Chi Phi house from Oct. 19 to 20, 2024, according police records obtained by NBC News.
Documents reviewed by NBC News offer the most thorough look to date at how police handled the allegations from Jane Doe, who last month filed a lawsuit against Cornell University and seven Chi Phi brothers who she alleges ***** ually ***** aulted her over the course of hours while she was under the influence of ketamine, alcohol and marijuana.
Van Houten, along with police and university officials, has come under intense fire for their handling of the matter. Jane Doe’s attorney has argued that she was failed by authorities who did not conduct a thorough investigation and who prejudged the events based on her earlier statement that she consented to parts of the night.

The Supreme Court begins its latest term on Monday with a docket full of high-stakes cases that touch on some of the most contentious issues in American politics, including guns, voting and transgender rights.
This will be the second full term for the nation's highest court since President Trump returned to the White House. The previous term, which wrapped up in June, was packed with landmark rulings in a long list of major cases, including Trump's tariffs, birthright citizenship and a slate of key immigration decisions.
The justices will likely take on additional cases over the course of the term, but there are already plenty of pivotal cases for the court to consider in the coming months.
Here's a rundown of the big cases headed to the Supreme Court this term and what their eventual rulings might mean for the country.
Over the past two decades, the Supreme Court has issued a series of decisions that have significantly expanded gun rights. It could go even further next term when it considers whether laws banning certain semiautomatic rifles, like the AR-15, violate the Second Amendment.

Léa Seydoux has turned her relationship with Louis Vuitton into one of the most recognizable partnerships on the red carpet. The French actress became an ambassador for the fashion house in 2016, and its designs have accompanied her to film festivals, premieres and major awards ceremonies ever since. Her wardrobe can move from sharp tailoring to elaborate crystal covered gowns without losing its distinctive character. Classic French elegance remains at the center, but unexpected shapes, textures and details keep the looks contemporary. Over the years, Seydoux has shown just how versatile a long term relationship between an actress and a fashion house can become.
At the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Seydoux demonstrated that versatility through several contrasting looks. For the premiere of Under the Silver Lake, she selected an off the shoulder Louis Vuitton column gown featuring a bold geometric pattern. At the screening of Girls of the Sun, she wore another fitted design with a high slit and dramatic neckline. That appearance carried additional significance as Seydoux joined dozens of women on the Cannes steps in a demonstration calling attention to gender inequality within the film industry.
Returning to Cannes in 2019 for Oh Mercy!, Seydoux moved away from the traditional evening gown. Tailored blue trousers, a fitted printed top and a defined waist created a polished alternative to conventional premiere dressing. Red lipstick and Chopard jewelry completed a look that felt sophisticated without relying on elaborate volume.
Her formalwear became increasingly dramatic at subsequent events. At the 2020 Academy Awards, Seydoux appeared in a sculptural white Louis Vuitton gown with a plunging neckline and heavily pleated skirt. For the Vanity Fair celebration afterward, she changed into a flowing red dress. At the 2021 premiere of No Time to Die, she embraced even greater spectacle in a shimmering silver Louis Vuitton cape gown covered with crystals.
The 2022 BAFTA Awards produced another intricate creation. Seydoux wore a strapless black velvet Louis Vuitton gown with a sparkling embellished skirt, continuing her preference for silhouettes that combine simple lines with labor intensive detailing.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been given a simple piece of advice as their family adjusts to life in the UK. Relationship expert Georgina Vass suggested that the couple focus on "honest communication." This comes as the couple helps their children navigate the major transition.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after leaving the country back in 2020. The family is now believed to be living in the Cotswolds after relocating from California.
Speaking to "Gloucestershire Live", relationship expert Georgina Vass said the couple could help their children adapt by "modelling adaptation through honest communication about the hurdles, complicated feelings, and exciting opportunities." The expert also suggested creating consistent routines around school, meals, bedtime, and weekends. According to Vass, familiar routines could help reduce feelings of disruption while the children settle into their new surroundings.
Her advice also focused on Harry and Meghan's relationship. She said staying emotionally connected during disagreements and sharing disappointments could help couples develop stronger trust and mutual support. She added, "Relationships strengthened by adversity can develop greater resilience, honesty, and confidence in their ability to survive difficulty together as a team."
The move has also brought changes to Archie and Lilibet's education. The Sussexes' kids were initially registered at a British school in September. However, reports claimed the children later switched schools because of security and logistical concerns surrounding the route to that specific school. The school has not been publicly identified for safeguarding reasons. Reports suggested heavy traffic during rush hour had significantly increased the journey time, creating additional concerns around security.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Department of Homeland Security has tapped $20 million to pay for the campaign-style ads glorifying President Donald Trump that have drawn widespread criticism from Republicans and Democrats as a blatant misuse of taxpayer dollars that likely runs afoul of anti-propaganda law.
In a letter Tuesday to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, two top Democratic senators said that the money is being drawn from Trump's so-called "One Big Beautiful Bill" and was supposed to go for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
"We should not have to remind you that using government funding to create or air political ads like the ones that have been running over the last few days is illegal and a shockingly corrupt misuse of taxpayer dollars," wrote Sen. Patty Murray of Washington, the top Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Committee, and Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut, the ranking Democrat on the subcommittee that handles Homeland Security funding.
The senators demanded answers within the next 48 hours about "how this president is literally stealing their tax dollars to air campaign ads celebrating himself."
They asked the secretary if the department plans to use additional federal funds to air these ads or create new ones, and if so to share contracting information with Congress. They also asked Mullin if he had spoken to Trump about using the taxpayer funds for the ads.
