The Rovers moved to 3-0-0 behind two goals in the first 127 seconds and a couple of insurance goals in the second half. Senior Zach Pastor ripped the first goal of the game from the left side in the second minute. Exactly a minute later, junior Dylan Boland capped a beautiful run in which he halted, turned inward and then fired away for a 2-0 Rootstown lead. Crestwood hung around the rest of the half, including Owen Overfield's free-kick goal from 35 yards out in the eighth minute. The Rovers finally got the insurance they were seeking in the 54th minute when Bryson Scarlett slotted a perfect pass up to fellow senior Sam Textor for a goal. Pastor added further insurance with his second goal of the game.
The Rough Riders snapped the Colts' 118-match conference win streak behind junior Brooke Beatty's 39, including birdies on the fifth and eighth holes. Senior Aubrey Byler added a 49 while junior Makenna Ward (50) and senior Coco Golden (51) rounded out the scoring.

Earlier on Tuesday, the "Harry Potter" author, whose anti-trans views have made her a controversial figure, took to X to pay tribute to the late country legend, who died at 80 following a brief battle with cancer. Like many in the industry, Rowling had nothing but praise for the singer, actress and philanthropist, writing, "Dolly Parton's Imagination Library was the best contribution to child literacy ever made by a celebrity. Our paths crossed once, in the '90s, backstage at a talk show, and I was completely tongue-tied and starstruck. RIP Dolly. You were a complete, irreplaceable one-off."
However, given Parton's prior status as a devoted advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, many on X took umbrage with Rowling's message about the "9 to 5" star.
One scathing response appeared to catch Rowling's attention, as she shared the comment with her followers: "It should have been you."

There were a lot of people watching at home, too.
Fox Sports announced Tuesday that Sunday's Freedom 250 Grand Prix drew an average of 3.28 million viewers, which would make it the most-watched IndyCar race other than the Indy 500 since the series formed following 2008's unification.
That number is nearly four times larger than IndyCar's Sunday non-Indy 500 races from last year (867,000 viewers) and a 364% gain from a comparable event around the same time last year (708,000 viewers on Fox).
As The Athletic's Jeff Gluck noted, those numbers also gave IndyCar the extremely rare bragging rights of beating out NASCAR, with the Freedom 250 Grand Prix drawing more eyeballs than NASCAR's Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (1.79 million viewers, per NASCAR).

A report surfaced Tuesday from ESPN's Adam Schefter that former Cleveland Browns tight end Dae'Quan Wright was expected to become the first player to go from an NFL roster back to the collegiate ranks on Wednesday. Wright cleared waivers, per Schefter, and reportedly was poised to reunite with his old Ole Miss head coach, Lane Kiffin, at LSU.
Hours later, the SEC joined other conferences in adopting timely policy to prevent, among other things, a member institution from rostering an athlete who has previously declared for the NFL Draft and didn't appropriately withdraw.
Wright is one of several athletes from the 2022 high school class trying to capitalize on the NCAA's new five-year eligibility model. The age-based system, which eliminates redshirts and waivers, was unanimously approved by the NCAA Division I Cabinet in June but excluded student-athletes who exhausted their eligibility during the 2025-26 academic year, a group that includes many athletes who first enrolled in 2022. Essentially, the NCAA drew a line in the sand, much to the dismay of more than 150 athletes who have filed eligibility lawsuits across 15 different states, according to Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger. Put simply, they want in on another season of eligibility like their peers.
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay was asked about the controversy on Tuesday during training camp, and before the question was done being asked, he blurted out, "Yeah, I can't even comprehend this stuff."

House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York is slamming comments from Hasan Piker after the far-left controversial online streamer suggested that Jewish Americans were inviting violence against themselves over their support for Israel.

Wyndham Clark has had an incredible bounce-back season in 2026.
He was in poor form in 2025, with just two top-fives and six missed cuts on the PGA Tour. Clark was also embroiled in controversy after damaging the locker room at Oakmont and throwing his club at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.
Clark's on-course form has seen a massive turnaround. He's in contention to win the PGA Tour Player of the Year award after winning three times, including a US Open win at Shinnecock and a win at the BMW Championship.
But his actions from last year have followed him into this one. He was openly booed by the fans at Shinnecock, and the American crowd supported Rory McIlroy over him at the BMW.
Clark admitted that the treatment he's received from golf fans this season does indeed bother him.

It came after the organization made headlines over a human rights violation controversy. The U.S. military killed two people in a strike on an alleged drug-trafficking vessel in the Eastern Pacific, resuming a controversial campaign that has faced criticism from legal experts.
The Aug. 23 strike, part of a nearly year-long operation targeting alleged drug boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific, was the first such attack in more than two month, according to independent conflict monitor ACLED.
