The Princess of Wales' beautiful brunette hair has become just as synonymous with her royal image as her immaculate wardrobe. The 'Kate effect' has influenced women's haircuts for decades, and shows no sign of slowing down.
Whether Princess Kate is debuting a fresh set of face-framing curtain bangs or unveiling a glossy, chocolate brown refresh, fans flock to copy her iconic looks.
As a senior member of the royal family and future Queen Consort, the Princess has done little by way of 'hair transformations' over the years, staying loyal to her signature chocolate brown 'do and only altering it slightly in the 15 years she's been married to Prince William.

Billie Eilish looked worlds away from her usual edgy style as she stepped onto the set of The Bell Jar in Toronto on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old singer was almost unrecognizable while filming the highly anticipated adaptation of Sylvia Plath's iconic novel, embracing a dramatic 1950s transformation for her first major acting role.
Ditching the oversized T-shirts and baggy trousers that have become synonymous with her personal style, Billie slipped into a navy blue ******* on-front dress layered with a striped cropped jacket and matching pillbox-style hat.
Her vintage-inspired look was completed with softly curled brunette hair, bold red lipstick and pearl earrings as she filmed scenes as Esther Greenwood, the novel's troubled 19-year-old protagonist.

good morning everyone and welcome to the latest edition of fitzie's gaming corner. This is your opportunity to talk about whatever ******* ogue or virtual or digital games you might be playing.
The only game I've got on my phone is Archero 2. Basically you're some character with a little bow and arrow or a spear or some fighting gloves, and you defeat these beasts. There is a guild function, some player-versus-player drama and the like.
Here's what one of the characters looks like – and a beast behind it!
I've been playing it for a few months now and am sitting on the precipice of 3M power. I think that's just okay enough to challenge in some of the higher arenas, but well below what a fair amount of others have going on. It's fine, I'm not going to be spending big bucks on this to level up.
I've done a little bit of lurking on the Archero 2 subreddit and there's this whole discussion of the "meta". Sounds boring. Basically there are a couple good characters you want to level up, some specific runes and gear to help boost that little guy, and maybe some additional add-ons.

As the leading lady in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes," Marilyn Monroe became one of the most famous blondes in movie history. Few stars have a signature look that's quite as iconic as Monroe's — from her makeup to her fashion sense to, of course, her blonde bob. Interestingly, though, the star went through a stunning transformation to become the Marilyn Monroe everyone recognizes. While it may be hard to believe, before she found her signature look, Monroe wasn't a natural blonde bombshell. What might be even harder to believe? She may have looked better as a brunette.
Donaldson Collection/Getty
Before the Marilyn Monroe persona and the look that came along with it were born, she was known as Norma Jean Mortenson, a brunette from Los Angeles with a difficult childhood. Dreams of stardom led Monroe to Blue Book Model Agency, where she was reportedly encouraged to give her hair a total makeover, removing her widow's peak and, of course, bleaching it blonde. From there, Monroe's blonde locks went on to become some of the most famous blonde locks ever. Yet looking at photos of her before the change shows that she looked striking with her natural brown waves, too. It's easy to see why some may have thought that the light brunette shade Monroe had wouldn't make her stand out in a crowd quite the way her blonde hair ultimately did, but it gave her a softer, warmer look.

Holger Rune is amping up his training intensity as he plans an imminent tennis return in Cincinnati.
Fans last saw Rune in the ATP 250 Stockholm Open last October when he ruptured his left Achilles tendon.
Rune has allowed fans to watch his recovery in real time on social media over the past 10 months. His latest video shows him at full speed and intensity. However, that's not what fans immediately noticed. They noticed his top which looks like a sports bra.

There has to be a good reason why male athletes wear these tops because Rune is not the only one who has worn one.

CHICAGO (AP) — The nation's first women's professional baseball league in nearly 30 years is about to embark on its inaugural season in what marks a major milestone in the scattered history of the sport in the United States.
The Women's Pro Baseball League is also part of a timeline that goes back to the very beginning of the sport.
"Women have always been part of this game," said Kat Williams, the chief executive officer of the International Women's Baseball Center. "We've always played, we've always umpired, we've always coached. And in some of the earliest references in the 17th century, the earliest references to something like a game of baseball, it was women that were playing it."
Next up is the WPBL, which plays its first game Saturday. The league has four teams — New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco — for its first year, but the 15 regular-season games for each club and the playoffs will be held at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois. The ballpark has a seating capacity of 5,200, and Springfield hosted one of the earliest paid women's games when the Blondes faced the Brunettes on Sept. 11, 1875.
Kelsie Whitmore, Mo'ne Davis and Ayami Sato are among the marquee names expected to play in the league's first season. Each team will have 15 active players for the seven-inning games.

JanBlachowicz's journey back to ******* le contention has taken anotherunexpected turn.
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight ******* leholderwas originally slated to rematch BogdanGuskov at UFC Belgrade on Aug. 1 in Serbia. However, those plans changedwhen Guskov was offered the UFC Abu Dhabi main event spot against MagomedAnkalaev following KhalilRountree's withdrawal.
As such, Blachowicz (29-11-2) will now square off against NavajoStirling in the new co-main event in Belgrade and the Polishveteran is unfazed by the change.
After Guskov accepted the short-notice bout against Ankalaev,Blachowicz was paired with Stirling. The former champion insistslittle has changed in his preparation.
"I am doing this all my life," Blachowicz said in a recentinterview. "It's a new opponent. I have a lot of respect for him,but it's just another fighter who I have to stop. I don't thinkabout this mess around because I don't want to waste energy forthat. Okay, it's a new opponent; that's it. We do small changes andwe are here to win the fight against him, or a different opponentdoesn't matter."
The upcoming matchup gives Blachowicz an opportunity to halt thelongest winless stretch of his UFC tenure. He has gone fourstraight outings without a victory and is coming off a majoritydraw against Guskov this past December. His last win came all theway back in May 2022 when he defeated AleksandarRakic.
He'll have his work cut out for him against the surging Stirling, who boasts a perfect 10-0 record.

Here comes the celebrity fashion bride. Luxury brands are turning the wedding aisle into the new Hollywood red carpet. Paris couture sensation Matières Fécales, which just last week dressed Zendaya in a winged goddess gown at "The Odyssey" premiere in New York City, has joined a growing number of luxury brands that are turning the wedding aisle into the new Hollywood red carpet.
The fashion house created three wedding looks for singer/model Gabbriette Bechtel, who married English musician and 1975 frontman Matty Healy last weekend in L.A., in front of a crowd that included Charli XCX, George Daniel, Emily Ratajkowski, Alex Consani and more.
Following the nuptials, the brand issued a press release touting the event as the official launch of Matières Fécale bridalwear. The announcement arrived in my inbox on the heels of one from Saint Laurent with photos and dressing credits for Logan Lerman's Saint Laurent wedding tuxedo, and just weeks after Taylor Swift tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in a still unseen custom Jonathan Anderson Dior gown. (I predict the big reveal will be the September Vogue cover.)

Ever since her 1994 breakthrough in the sitcom "Friends," Jennifer Aniston's hair has been a topic of discussion. Today, the star is best known for her long, layered blond locks, but the truth is that her natural hair color and texture are rather different from her signature look. As the stunning hair transformation of Jennifer Aniston shows, back in the early '90s, the star was actually rocking her naturally wavy brown hair.
Vinnie Zuffante & Vinnie Zuffante/Getty & undefined
Side-by-side photos of Aniston in 1990 and 1997 showcase just how different that star looks. In fact, the "Horrible Bosses" actor is easily among the celebs who are nearly unrecognizable with their natural hair color, as we've gotten so used to seeing Aniston with sun-kissed blond hair. In a video promoting her haircare brand LolaVie posted on her Instagram in January 2026, the actor responded to the question of whether she would ever dye her hair brown. "Would I ever go brunette? I am brunette," Aniston revealed, adding that she would absolutely go back to her natural color.
As far as her natural hair texture goes, in November 2019, hairstylist Chris McMillan shared a snapshot of Aniston rocking beachy waves to a red carpet event, revealing in the Instagram caption that he actually used the actor's natural hair texture for the look. "The hair is Jen's natural curl and waves," McMillan wrote, adding some details regarding treatment: "Dried natural and touched up minimally with blow drying the roots for direction and touching up random pieces with a wave iron." Speaking to Glamour in the same year, Aniston admitted her preference regarding her own hair. "I love my hair when it's straight," the actor shared, adding that she only noticed she had curls when she cut her hair shorter as a younger girl.

There is always much debate about which royal relative the Prince and Princess of Wales' children look like. However, one photograph taken last Christmas finally settled the confusion when it comes to Princess Charlotte.
The young royal bore a striking resemblance to her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, during the annual Christmas Day walkabout at Sandringham in Norfolk.
Charlotte joined her siblings George, 12, and Louis, eight, and other senior members of the royal family for morning mass at St Mary Magdalene Church before greeting the public who had gathered in the church's grounds.
For the festive occasion, the young princess wore a two-toned beige and chocolate brown double-breasted coat, dark brown tights and ballet flats in the same rich colour. The coat was bespoke Catherine Walker, and her shoes were Tory Burch cap-toe, croc-effect suede, according to Royal Fashion Police's Instagram page at the time.
She pulled her long brunette hair back from her face and styled it in a half-up-half-down fashion, fastening it together with a brown velvet bow clip. Her look for the festive gathering appeared remarkably similar to that of her great-grandmother, who also visited Sandringham every year.

Crocodile Dundee star Linda Kozlowski looked so different as she stepped out in Palma, Spain, for a romantic getaway with her husband, Moulay Hafid Babaa. The 68-year-old, who was married to her co-star, Paul Hogan, for 24 years, soaked up the Spanish sun and sights with her beau, and was almost unrecognizable with her brunette locks and glowing skin.
Linda portrayed Sue Charlton in the hit 1986 film Crocodile Dundee, and went on to play the character in its two sequels alongside Paul. Known for her beautiful blonde locks and stunning smile, Linda was once one of Hollywood's most well-known actresses before she decided to step away from the spotlight in 2001.
She married Paul in 1990, and the couple went on to welcome a son together, Chance, before parting ways for good in 2014. Linda explained to the Sydney Morning Herald that she and Paul "just naturally grew apart", and that there was no bad blood between them.
"One of our problems was we really had nothing in common and, over time, that happens to a lot of people," she explained. Her former husband shared with The Daily Telegraph that their romance fizzled out, but never failed.
"We were opposites, and we were attracted to each other for a long time. Opposites in everything," he said. "From the food we ate, the music we liked, the entertainment we liked, the colors, the clothes, the places, everything, it worked anyway."

Today's Yankee birthday is someone who had a bit of an odd career. If you just glance at his stats, he looks like someone who should've had a way longer career than playing just parts of seven years. He has way better stats than someone who had two year plus long stints out of the majors entirely, that had nothing to do with injury or any sort of military service. The only explanation I have for parts of how his time in the big leagues played out was that it was the 1910s.
Harry Meiggs Wolter
Born: July 11, 1884 (Monterey, CA)
Died: July 6, 1970 (Palo Alto, CA)
Yankees Tenure: 1910-13
Wolter was born in Monterey, CA in 1884, the youngest of seven children. He attended the local Monterey High School — where future Yankee Mike Aldrete would go many decades later — and then went on to Santa Clara University. He had a brief run in the minors in 1905, but his pro career began in full in 1906 after he graduated college. That year, he joined the incredibly named Fresno Raisin Eaters of the Pacific Coast League. He was a bit of a two-way player at that time, as he had a 3.22 ERA in nearly 300 innings for Fresno that year, but also had a .307 batting average in over 500 at-bats.
That season got Wolter on the major league radar. The Reds picked up him for 1907, but that ended up being a very weird season for Wolter. He played four games for the Reds — all in the outfield — before they sold him to the Pirates. Pittsburgh tried him as a pitcher in one game, but also didn't have a use for him and sold him to the Cardinals. He showed some promise at the plate in St. Louis, but only appeared in 16 games. After that trek around the country, he headed back out west. Despite the Cardinals attempting to sell him to a minor league team, Wolter instead jumped to the "outlaw" California State League and the San Jose Prune Pickers.
A good year there got him back on the MLB radar, and the Red Sox bought him for 1909. He finally got an extended chance to be a two-way player with Boston, but during that year it became clear that he was a better hitter than pitcher, and 1909 would be his final MLB season with any innings pitched.

Warrenton High School graduate Jacob Morrow is a classic case of hard work pays off.
The 24 year old was a versatile athlete at Warrenton excelling in football, basketball and baseball. Though Morrow was a three-sport athlete, like many of the high schoolers in Clatsop County, his best sport was baseball.
Morrow made the Warrenton varsity baseball team as a freshman and was a two-time all-state player his sophomore and junior years. Due to Morrow graduating in 2020, he missed out on much of his senior year due to the pandemic.
After graduating from Warrenton, he went on to attend Linn Benton Community College in Albany, then finished up his college career at Washington State University. Much like in his high school days, Morrow was a standout in baseball at both Linn Benton and WSU. He spent two years as a starter on a very competitive Linn Benton roster, before being named to the Buster Posey watch list his senior year as a Cougar. The Buster Posey Award, formerly known as the Johnny Bench Award, was created in 2000 to honor college baseball's top catcher in the National Collegiate Athletic ***** ociation's Division I. The award was renamed in 2019 after Johnny Bench announced the creation of his own national award for amateur catchers. The commission renamed it after Buster Posey and schools nominate their catchers during the season to create the official watch list.
Upon graduating from college in 2024, Morrow took his talents to Cleburne, Texas and the Independent League. The small town located about 40 minutes outside of Fort Worth served as the start of Morrow's professional baseball journey. Brian Bruney was the last player from Clatsop County to make it to the Major Leagues. Bruney had a 9-year big league career and won a World Series with the New York Yankees in 2009. Morrow hopes his time playing in the Independent League will help him get there.

Dobrev's latest street-style moment offered a masterclass in summer dressing.

Naming Chris MacFarland president of hockey operations and general manager on June 2 begins a new era for the Nashville Predators.
After a lengthy search, majority owner Bill Haslam secured his top target in MacFarland, hiring him away from the Colorado Avalanche, where he served as general manager since 2022.
MacFarland didn't reveal much about his short term intentions for the Predators. Frequently referencing an upcoming "deep dive" into the roster, he anticipates meeting with the team's front office and scouting staff in the coming weeks before the 2026 NHL Draft on June 26.
MacFarland also talked about meeting the Predators' coaching staff, including Andrew Brunette. What he said could suggest his strategy in the coming months.
Though both MacFarland and Brunette have been involved in the NHL to some degree for over 26 years, somehow the two never connected professionally prior to now.
