Ana de Armas brought dazzling high-fashion glamour to Paris as she attended the prestigious La Légion d'Honneur ceremony. The actress captivated onlookers by stepping out in an archival Louis Vuitton creation by Nicolas Ghesquière. Styled by Samantha McMillen, her shimmering look seamlessly blended rock-and-roll glam with classic French sophistication.
Ana de Armas selected a striking black sequin micro minidress from the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2015 runway collection. Designed by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, the archival garment featured a high rounded collar and structured shoulders.
Intricate lace-like sequin patterns covered the entire fabric, shimmering with every slight movement. Fitted long sleeves balanced the ultra-short hemline that barely skimmed her thighs. Thousands of delicate black sequins caught the room's warm lights, creating a dramatic metallic sheen.
Her expert beauty team complemented the bold dress with effortless styling choices. Stylist Samantha McMillen chose the vintage piece, while Owen Gould styled Ana's brunette hair in soft waves. Makeup artist Charlotte Prevel completed the look with a luminous complexion, subtle liner, and nude gloss.
The actress posed indoors before stepping out to the official Paris event. Standing near a tall glass door, she looked straight into the camera lens with calm confidence. Her reflection behind her showed off the snug fit and detailed craftsmanship from every angle.

Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz are back in the spotlight after a new report claimed the 64-year-old Hollywood star still looks back on their relationship with regret. According to insiders, Cruise considers Cruz the one who "got away". He had allegedly hoped their romance would end in marriage.
According to the Daily Mail, sources close to Tom Cruise say the actor remains frustrated with his love life as several of his former partners have moved on. The report claims Cruise has struggled to find a lasting relationship in recent years. While he has been linked to several women, none of those romances have reportedly turned into something permanent.
An insider said Cruise would still like to get married again and hopes to find a stable, long-term relationship. However, the report suggests one past romance still stands out above the rest. According to the source, Cruise fell deeply in love with Penélope Cruz after the pair met while filming "Vanilla Sky." The actors dated for a few years before ending their relationship in 2004.
According to the insider, Cruise saw Cruz as the woman he wanted to marry and was devastated when their relationship ended. They added that Cruz ended the relationship because Cruise's level of fame made it difficult for them to have a normal life together. The source added, "She dumped him and he was heartbroken. She was the one who got away." Cruz later married fellow Oscar winner Javier Bardem in 2010, and the couple has remained together ever since.
The Daily Mail report also claims Cruise has found it difficult watching several former partners move on. It mentions Ana de Armas, Katie Holmes, and Nicole Kidman among the actresses whose personal lives have continued making headlines. According to another source, Cruise's demanding career has often made relationships difficult. The insider claimed the actor puts filmmaking above everything else, leaving little room for romance.

The Vanderbilt Commodores started the 2026 season with a win that left a "bitter" taste in Coach Darren Ambrose's mouth according to his post-game interview. He used the words sluggish, lethargic, and choreographed to describe the performance. Coach Ambrose harped on being proud and happy with the victory, but he kept focusing on different flaws in the performance. If you saw my comments during and after the match, I am proud to say Coach and I are on the same wavelength.
The pushback that I got was that it was just game 1. It was. I am not panicking. My predictions for the season have not changed. My thoughts about the talent on the team have not changed, except for some concern about one particular position. Armas in goal was not very convincing. Again, it was match 1. I am not going to react too strongly yet.
The Commodores had plenty of possession and tons of shot attempts. They spent more than a third of the match (35%) in possession in the attacking half. Attempting 21 shots but with only 7 on target is where the sharpness and intensity that Ambrose found lacking came into play. They generated 11 corners yet did not score off one. Conversely, SMU was able to turn 21% attacking possession and 8 shot attempts into 4 shots on target and 3 goals. Granted, 1 goal for the Mustangs was a cross that deflected off Grace Freeman's leg in a truly unfortunate moment where Armas was diving out to claim the cross.
The number of players used is really intriguing to me. Typically, Coach Ambrose has gone deep into the bench early in seasons. It normally is paired down to 14 to 16 by the time SEC play starts, but early season matches often see 20 or more players. The tightness of the match and dissatisfaction with the performance may have been why the starters played more as they tried to work out the kinks.
Courtney Jones, Olivia Stafford, and Sydney Watts all have 4 shot attempts and a goal is not particularly surprising. I would have expected Pentz to get off more shots, but she had the early goal on her only attempt. I do not think Fullerton at CAM and Pentz at striker beside Watts is the best lineup for this squad based on natural inclinations of the players and how that effects ******* ing.

Chicago Cubs starter Edward Cabrera, on a rehab **** ignment with the Smokies in Knoxville, held Rocket City hitless through five innings before the visiting Trash Pandas rallied for a 6-1 win Aug. 11.
The Trash Pandas scored six unanswered runs off Smokies relievers after Cabrera left the game at Covenant Health Park.
Cabrera had seven strikeouts and finished his start retiring 13 straight batters. The only baserunner to reach base came from a two-out walk in the first inning.
"That's kind of how you draw it up," Smokies manager Lance Rymel told Knox News. "Really, really electric stuff."

WASHINGTON/KYIV, July 10 (Reuters) - Four U.S. senators said on Friday that they had reached agreement with the Trump administration to move forward with updated legislation on Russia sanctions.
"We are proud to announce that we have reached an agreement with the Trump Administration to move our updated Russia sanctions legislation forward. We are very pleased with this significant progress and expect to roll out the legislation very soon," Senators Richard Blumenthal, Lindsey Graham, Jeanne Shaheen and Roger Wicker said in a statement.
"As Russia intensifies its slaughter of civilians, it is imperative that the legislative and executive branches work together to create tools to exact a heavy price on those who buy Russian oil and natural gas, fueling the Putin war machine," the statement said.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
