Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback Sam Darnold and No. 1 wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba arguably were the best QB-WR pairing in the NFL last season. It's partially why the Seahawks won Super Bowl 60. Their connection was once again fully on display at Wednesday's 10th training camp practice.
Smith-Njigba posted a league-leading 1,793 receiving yards last season. JSN was rewarded for his individual accolades by being named Offensive Player of the Year. Smith-Njigba has picked up right where he left off this offseason.
Smith-Njigba was downright dominant at Wednesday's practice, per ESPN reporter Brady Henderson, who was in attendance. "It was great to see him come alive," head coach Mike Macdonald said after practice. "Some of those in high-leverage situations, too. … There's defensive attention on where he's at at all times, too, so for him to be able to make those plays, it's great for the Seahawks, great for him."
Darnold has so many pass-catching weapons at his disposal. Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed, and AJ Barner are proven threats. Sophomores Elijah Arroyo and Tory Horton are expected to take developmental steps forward. The running game has been revamped with the additions of Emanuel Wilson and Jadarian Price, and possibly a bigger role for George Holani.
Wednesday's practice was a reminder that the offense should still run through Smith-Njigba, though.

The last time the Washington Huskies took the field for the Dawgs After Dark spring game, wide receiver Rashid Williams had the marquee moment.
Williams, a former four-star recruit in the 2023 class and projected starting receiver for coach Jedd Fisch this fall, hauled in a 45-yard deep shot from junior quarterback Demond Williams Jr. with just over three minutes in the first half for the first touchdown of the evening back on May 1.
"Huge couple of big plays from Rashid," Fisch said after the game. "Rashid's had a great spring. This is the first spring since we've been here that he's stayed healthy the whole spring. Then, obviously missing almost all of last season, to be able to have him come back and take on that leadership role and be able to make some of those plays tonight with Demond was fun to see."
"Obviously the big touchdown was great. And then, also the sideline toe-tap was pretty cool. It's been great to see Rashid step up and be the guy we know he's going to be all season."

Last season, the New Orleans Saints were reportedly fielding trade offers for Chris Olave. Now they've made him one of the NFL's highest paid wide receivers.
Olave, headed into the final year of his rookie contract, reportedly signed a four-year extension that will keep him as Tyler Shough's huckleberry through the foreseeable future. At $132 million and $90 million guaranteed, it wasn't able to reset the wideout market but pays him slightly more in annual average salary than former Ohio State teammate Garrett Wilson. The New York Jets gave Wilson a four-year, $130 million deal last offseason, making him the league's seventh-highest paid WR.
It's a big bet on a player who has emerged as an engine in the Saints offense when available. The Saints are locked in to $90 million for a receiver coming off his finest season. His 100 catches were seventh-best in the NFL en route to second-team All-Pro honors. But he also missed more than half the 2024 season due to concussion concerns and his 2.0 yards per route run (YPRR) were a career low. Will the Saints regret a great commitment for a player who may merely be good?
This offseason has been predicated on bringing weapons into the fold as New Orleans figures out whether Shough's ability to exceed expectations as a rookie was an outlier or a sign of things to come. The Saints signed running back Travis Etienne for $12 million annually and used the eighth overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft on Jordyn Tyson. Keeping Olave fits with that philosophy.
At the same time, it's fair to wonder if Olave can keep up his 2025 pace when he's not the surefire focus of the offense. Last year's New Orleans offense couldn't run the ball (31st in rushing expected points added). Only two other players on the team had more than 40 targets and one, Rashid Shaheed, was traded mid-season. His target share of just under 30 percent was a career high and his 8.7 air yards per catch were a career low, leading to modest impacts despite his prolific nature.

The Seattle Seahawks have a lot going for them as the 2026 NFL season creeps closer.
Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox labeled the Seahawks' defensive line as the team's biggest strength prior to the start of this year's preseason.
"The Seahawks were regularly able to pressure opposing quarterbacks despite blitzing just 19.3 percent of the time, the seventh-lowest rate in the NFL," Knox said. "Seattle's defensive line will enter 2026 largely unchanged. While edge-defender Boye Mafe was replaced by Dante Fowler Jr., key standouts Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy II, Jarran Reed, and DeMarcus Lawrence are all back for another run."
The Seahawks also have a strong wide receiver room consisting of AP Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed and Cooper Kupp, as well as a top-tier secondary including second-team All-Pro cornerback Devon Witherspoon, Nick Emmanwori, and Josh Jobe. Nevertheless, the defensive line brings frightening pressure to opposing quarterbacks and has nearly all of its players from last year returning for another run in 2026.

USC football plays the Washington Huskies this season. UW Huskies Wire reported earlier this year on one of the breakout performers at Washington's spring game, receiver Rashid Williams.
"A composite four-star recruit in the 2023 class, Williams has only caught 18 passes for 222 yards and 1 touchdown in 17 games across three seasons. There have been good reasons for that lack of production - Williams had five future NFL players in front of him during a redshirt year in 2023, then watched as Denzel Boston took a jump into 2024. Collarbone and hand injuries as a redshirt sophomore in 2025 then limited Williams to only two games when he was expected to be the team's No. 2 receiver behind Boston. Williams has stayed the course, however, never entering the transfer portal or questioning his future with the Huskies. Even with breakout freshman Dezmen Roebuck returning and high-upside players like Chris Lawson, Jordan Clay, and Trez Davis joining the fray, Williams has been the one who has looked steadiest during spring practice for Washington."
The article noted the splash plays Williams made in Washington's spring game, and then added this insight:
"Williams' chemistry with the returning quarterback has been one of the major storylines of the spring. Demond Williams' bond with Roebuck is to be expected, considering the two have run in the same circles since middle school. USC's secondary has to be aware of this emerging connection for the Huskies. The Trojans have to shut off the deep ball when they face Washington, so the Double Williams linkup has to be a core part of USC's defensive game plan.

The six-wicket victory ended India's three-week winless streak in the UK, where they had suffered a 0-2 defeat to Ireland and a 0-4 whitewash against England in the T20I series. The win also extended India's unbeaten run against England in ODIs to six consecutive victories while ending England's seven-match winning streak at Edgbaston.

The 102-run stand between Axar and Washington for the fifth wicket, under the blazing sun, lifted the proverbial clouds that had briefly converged over India's march towards victory. In a matter of 20 minutes, India lost skipper Shubman Gill to cramps, Shreyas Iyer to a run-out, and KL Rahul, who dragged a wide delivery onto his stumps. India went from 149/2 to 160/4 in a jiffy, with the trio back in the hut. England, who had been pegged back by the 101-run partnership between Gill (80 off 75 ****** ) and Iyer (35 off 53 ****** ), were suddenly roaring in celebration, as were the 20,744 in attendance. Instead of being bogged down, the southpaws, the first left-handers in India's XI after the quartet of right-handers, tackled the situation with aplomb.
The duo saw off Will Jacks and Sam Curran, with the four overs yielding just nine runs. Adil Rashid's reintroduction allowed Washington to free his arms with a boundary and a nine-run over. The next two overs, as Curran and Jacks continued, yielded 18 runs, with the duo's confidence evidently growing.

Tyrice Knight did not enjoy the sophomore campaign he envisioned it'd be. An offseason injury limited his impact and eventually allowed Drake Thomas to firmly surpass him on the depth chart. Knight should enter camp with designs on forcing Thomas into another competition for the starting role opposite Ernest Jones IV.

The Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl last season with a talented roster on both offense and defense, but as they look to repeat as champions in 2026, a trade many be necessary to strengthen their team prior to the NFL trade deadline next autumn.
According to ClutchPoints' Bailey Bassett, Zach Charbonnet is among three prime trade candidates for the Seahawks this year, also including Tory Horton and Ernest Jones IV.
"The Seahawks backfield changes led to them selecting Jadarian Price in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, which only further clouds Charbonnet's future. …" Bassett said. "…The fact that Charbonnet may not be of help during a ***** le defense only increases the likelihood that he could be traded."
Charbonnet was highly effective as the 1B to Kenneth Walker's 1A in Seattle's offensive backfield last season. He rushed for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2025, but with his health in question for the start of the upcoming season after tearing his ACL in the NFC divisional round of the playoffs last season, moving him may be beneficial for the team in a favorable deal.
Horton has much talent at the wide receiver position, but there's not enough room for him to shine in the way that he may be capable of doing alongside AP Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed and Cooper Kupp. Another favorable return will be sensible for the Seahawks to sign off on in a deal for Horton in the event that one presents itself.

The NFC West has some of the best wide receivers across any division in the NFL. The Seattle Seahawks have the reigning Offensive Player of the Year in Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Heading into the 2026 NFL season, we've ranked all four wide receiving corps in the division from best to worst.
We're making the difficult decision of ranking the Los Angeles Rams as having the best receiving corps in the NFC West. Puka Nacua finished second in receiving yards (1,715) behind Smith-Njigba. Opposite Nacua, Davante Adams led all wideouts in receiving touchdowns with 14. That's pretty incredible.
Smith-Njigba will be the focal point of Brian Fleury's 2026 offense for the Seahawks. Aging veteran Cooper Kupp is still impactful, and Rashid Shaheed is expected to be heavily involved after signing a new contract with the Seahawks earlier this offseason. A healthy Tory Horton could also play a role.

Marvin Harrison Jr. was limited by injury in 2025 and hasn't yet met the borderline unfair expectations he was tagged with coming out of Ohio State. Michael Wilson became a 1,000-yard receiver this past season. The Cardinals also added savvy veteran Kendrick Bourne via free agency.

Seahawks wide receiver and return specialist Rashid Shaheed sat down with Seahawks reporter Jen Mueller and Seahawks Legend Bryan Walters to relive the Super Bowl-winning 2025 season.

Fuel cell systems developer Bloom Energy and investment firm Brookfield said the companies are expanding their partnership agreement and increasing their project financing to $25 billion. The companies initially announced a $5-billion partnership deal in October of last year.The groups said the increased funding and expanded partnership "reflects strong and sustained demand from hyperscalers and AI [artificial intelligence] infrastructure developers for fast, reliable, and community-friendly power." The groups said their collaboration "brings together Brookfield's global leadership in AI infrastructure development, access to capital, and operating scale with Bloom's rapidly deployable onsite power platform." The companies have touted their work as advancing "a new model for AI factories that integrates power, compute, data center infrastructure, and capital from the outset.""When we formed this partnership, we said it was the first phase of a much larger vision," said Aman Joshi, chief commercial officer of California-headquartered Bloom Energy, on June 30. "Today's commitment reflects the momentum we are seeing in the market, as evidenced by recently announced large-scale deals. India's disappointing UK tour has continued to unravel on the field, but the latest ICC Men's T20I Rankings have provided a rare silver lining, with Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma holding on to the top two batting spots despite the team's struggles against Ireland and England.

India's white-ball campaign has endured a miserable run, beginning with a 2-0 series defeat to Ireland before Shreyas Iyer's side slipped to a 2-0 deficit against England in the ongoing five-match T20I series after the opening match was washed out. England's emphatic 125-run victory in the third T20I also went down as India's biggest-ever defeat in the format.

Yet, even amid the setbacks, India's premier T20I batters continue to dominate the global rankings.
The latest ICC rankings confirmed that Ishan Kishan remains the world's No. 1 T20I batter, with teammate Abhishek Sharma retaining the No. 2 position.

There was another positive for India in the form of new T20I captain Shreyas Iyer, who enjoyed one of the biggest jumps of the week. After scoring 68 in the rain-hit opening game against England and following it up with 37 in the second T20I, Iyer surged an astonishing 425 places to joint 93rd in the batting rankings.

England, meanwhile, were richly rewarded for their commanding performances.

Jacob Bethell climbed seven places to No. 8 after his unbeaten 76 off 46 **** helped England secure victory in the second T20I.

Sam Curran also enjoyed a productive week, rising 12 places to No. 108 among batters after contributing an unbeaten 41 and climbing 12 spots to joint 71st in the bowling rankings following figures of 3/33. His all-round exploits also lifted him six places to joint 13th among T20I all-rounders.
Veteran leg-spinner Adil Rashid returned to the top three of the T20I bowling rankings after moving up one place to No. 3 thanks to his miserly figures of 2/14 in England's record win.

Saturday’s RAF Georgia main event sees former bantamweight champions Dvalishvili and Henry Cejudo compete against each other for the first time since Dvalishvili beat Cejudo at UFC 298 in February 2024. Their rematch takes place on the RAF mats, with Dvalishvili aiming to score a second win over the Olympic wrestling gold medalist.

The Seattle Seahawks’ pass-catching unit is in good shape heading into the 2026 NFL season, with stars at wide receiver and tight end that are positioned to make a great impact in the offense.
According to Sharp Football ***** ysis in their ranking of all 32 NFL teams’ wide receiver and tight end units, the Seahawks’ group ranked No. 7 overall.
“Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the reigning Offensive Player of the Year after leading the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards,” the Sharp Football Staff said. “Cooper Kupp has found a late-career role as a solid No. 2 receiver, and the hope is Rashid Shaheed can be the deep threat he was in New Orleans prior to getting traded to the Seahawks midseason last year.”
Not only do the Seahawks have a strong unit at the wide receiver position with three championship-level contributors in their respective roles, but they also have a quality tight end in AJ Barner who is poised to take the next step in 2026 as a strong scoring option.
Seattle is primed to have another successful season in the receiving department in 2026, akin to last season, where they finished No. 9 in the NFL in passing yards with 4,063.

The Seattle Seahawks are the reigning Super Bowl LX champions and it hardly feels like the rest of the country even realizes it. Seattle has been perhaps the most overlooked defending champs in recent memory, as just about everyone and their mothers are busy fawning over the Los Angeles Rams . You know, the same Rams that squandered their opportunity to win homefield advantage and represent the conference in the Super Bowl by losing two out of three games to the Seahawks... including the NFC championship game.
Well... just about everyone.
Recently, ESPN's Seth Walter shared an article where he ***** igned letter grades to each team for how they did during the offseason. For the first time I can think of, the Seahawks actually managed to get a better grade than the Rams! It wasn't a wide gap, but it was higher. Walter ***** igned Seattle a B- grade, while Los Angeles received an average C+ mark. The biggest reasoning for the Rams' mediocre grade is directly related to their confusing pick of backup quarterback Ty Simpson at No. 13 overall during the 2026 NFL draft. Walter writes :
"On offense, the Rams extended Stafford, guaranteeing him $50 million in 2027 and ensuring the reigning MVP would stick around. But they swerved drastically from their Super Bowl window-maximizing approach when they drafted Simpson with the No. 13 pick. Selecting a player who won't play without a Stafford injury is the opposite of maximizing their current window. And it looks even stranger after the Garrett trade. It's not because backup quarterbacks don't matter -- they do -- but a veteran backup could have been had for much less capital. Not to mention that Simpson was a reach at No. 13; the Rams could have traded back and still had a good chance to select him later. The argument that it wasn't the Rams' original pick (it was the result of the Falcons trading up to draft James Pearce Jr. in 2025) and therefore was "extra" is irrational -- it's still worth the same! It was a big missed opportunity to add a non-quarterback (like a third wide receiver) who could have helped in 2026."
As for the Seahawks, Walter praised Seattle for managing to maintain "homegrown" talent like Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Derick Hall with new extensions. Additionally, making sure Rashid Shaheed and Josh Jobe remain in the Pacific Northwest contributed to Seattle's grade. However, what dinged the Seahawks in Walter's eyes is related to a player they let walk in free agency. No, it's actually not Kenneth Walker III or even Riq Woolen . It's linebacker Boye Mafe !

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Fleury approaches the 2026 NFL season with high expectations among the new OCs and defensive coordinators that were hired this offseason.
According to ESPN’s Ben Solak, a major question surrounding Fleury will be how he will rely on other offensive weapons to add to the Seahawks’ offense besides Jaxon Smith-Njigba next season.
“Fleury was not in Seattle last season and has never crossed paths with Macdonald, so I'm confident he'll come with enough new ideas to keep the Seahawks' offense on the cutting edge,” Solak said. “Whatever that edge is, it's close to Fleury's vest ... for now.”
Fleury has big shoes to fill following the departure of former offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak this offseason. Kubiak orchestrated the Seahawks’ Super Bowl-winning offense last season and enabled Smith-Njigba to win the AP Offensive Player of the Year award at season’s end.
Despite JSN’s excellence, the Seahawks leaned heavily on him in the offense. Next season will present Fleury with the opportunity to increase Rashid Shaheed, AJ Barner and Cooper Kupp’s target shares in the passing game, while also ensuring that rookie Jadarian Price is put in the best position to succeed in the ground game.

The 2025 season was an incredible one for Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. JSN led the NFL in receiving yards (1,793) while finishing fourth in receptions (119). The Seahawks won Super Bowl 60 and Smith-Njigba won Offensive Player of the Year honors.
The Seahawks then signed Smith-Njigba to a four-year, $168.6 million extension earlier this offseason that made him the highest-paid receiver of all time. Now, JSN is prepping for another massive campaign for the Seahawks in 2026. Just how many receiving yards will he have this season?
The Seahawks underwent massive offseason changes on offense. Brian Fleury is the new offensive coordinator after Klint Kubiak became head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Super Bowl 60 MVP Kenneth Walker III is gone and will be replaced by first-round pick Jadarian Price.
Changes at coordinator and in the backfield will impact the Seahawks' offense. Also, the Seahawks brought back Rashid Shaheed at receiver, who is expected to be heavily involved after displaying chemistry with quarterback Sam Darnold at OTAs and minicamp.
There's no reason why Smith-Njiga can't produce another 1,500-yard (or more) season. He'll be Darnold's go-to receiver, but Coach Fleury may spread the ball around to AJ Barner and Shaheed while also getting multiple running backs involved.
