Now, ****** ysts are focused on where Milton could land, including coach Jason Brown, who believes he should end up with the Browns.
Responding to reports of Dallas releasing Milton, Brown replied on X, saying, "Cut Sanders, sign him immediately, Browns."
The seriousness of the reply can be debated, though it is an interesting scenario.
While Sanders has definitely shown enough to start for the Browns this season, Milton's success shouldn't be overlooked.

Chelsea set a record low in yesterday's high-scoring 4-3 win over Brighton & Hove Albion, possessing the ball just 25 per cent of the time. Apparently, it's our lowest recorded possession stat in a Premier League game, since such things started to be counted in 2003-04.
Opta's one-word tag at the end of their tweet was "methodology", which might imply that this will be a common thing for the Blues under Xabi Alonso. We lost the possession battle last Monday, too, against Fulham, though that was a bit more even, at a roughly 40-60 split. In an age when practically every top team wants to play possession-based high-pressing football that struggles against compact low blocks with endlessly boring u-shape passing around the box, it's been quite refreshing to see Chelsea go more direct. Turns out, you can pass forward whenever you want! And you probably should! And you also don't need to play it short from a goal kick either just to invite all the pressure; you can simply bypass all that and boot it up to your complete striker to knock it down or create for himself. Football doesn't have to be complicated: if you can be faster and stronger than the other guy, you already have an advantage.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Here in the office of Arizona offensive coordinator Seth Doege, you will hear the story of a college football species that has practically gone extinct.
Doege, who played quarterback at Texas Tech a decade and a half ago, points to the sofa up against the wall. That's where Noah Fifita was sitting seven months ago after Arizona completed its surprising 9-4 season, when Doege asked a question that would determine both of their futures.
"There's no doubt he's the best quarterback in the league, so people are hitting this guy up to tamper, to say, 'Hey, we'll pay you $3.5 million to come play for a year," Doege told Yahoo Sports. "And you know how it is. When you go 9-4 on a team that was picked dead last in the Big 12, now all the coaches are getting hit up [for new jobs].
"So I sat him down and said, 'Dude, what is your plan? Man to man, brother to brother, you know there's real love here. What are you gonna do? Because if you're leaving, I need to think about what I need to do. But if you're staying, I'm with you. And then he said the exact same thing, and that was that."
At Arizona, which looks like a dark-horse contender for the Big 12 ******* le, most everything revolves around Fifita and his unconventional decision to not merely spend all five years at the same school but at a program with a somewhat tortured football history and a relatively low national profile.

Coach Dorival Júnior spoke at a press conference after the 1-1 draw with Coritiba at MorumBIS in São Paulo (SP), in a match valid for the 23rd round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship.
"It's frustrating because, from one play, we ended up losing the chance for a win. And this is something that has been happening repeatedly in several matches. Despite losing Griffin Jax to injury — he recently got an injection in his elbow, and has resumed throwing at 120 feet — Rasmussen and Martinez are solid, Sugar Shane just pitched three clean innings in Durham on a rehab start, the Rays are settling Peralta into the Rays way, and Seymour is over-achieving expectations for a pitcher with 14 career starts at the MLB level.

Instead, Southern Californians and the rest of the world are mourning the death of Jackie, the bald eagle. Jackie, who lived with her partner Shadow in a nest high above the mountain community of Big Bear, died Monday after several weeks in intensive care.
For the past decade, a Big Bear webcam that broadcast the lives of Jackie and her partner Shadow has drawn viewers from around the world, garnering 822,000 subscribers on YouTube and over a million Facebook followers. Eagle fans watched Jackie's arrival in the nest, the death of an earlier set of eaglets, and Shadow aggressively kicking out Jackie's earlier partner. Pre-Season was swallowed up by the Club World Cup last summer. This summer it has been disrupted by the World Cup. The desire to continuously invent football matches for eyeballs and revenue will always risk the quality of the game. The players who did not go to the World Cup or those who exited early will all have a decent pre-season. The players who went deep into the tournament not only have a shortened pre-season but will be back on international duty before long. The argument that the players are rich is one I will always find utterly unconvincing. What is noticeable is the decline in the quality of football and footballers in general. Managers desperately trying to reduce the game to automatisms in order to cover-up the dearth of unique individual quality in the game. Stats creating an Americanisation of the beautiful game. I do not know Maradona, Zidane and R9's stats. They're practically irrelevant to the beauty of the game. That aspect of the game is increasingly greyed out and becoming near impossible to access. I digress.. This is a mixed pre-season for Mourinho. He has had a chance to take a look at some of the youngsters and also the likes of Camavinga, Trent, Fede and Arda Guler. What he has not had the chance to do it have a look at a potential starting XI for the season with all his best players available. There are two friendlies remaining before La Liga kicks off for the 2026/27 season and Mourinho will still be intuiting his best XI for the season by then. The names are easy but the balance.. well, that's an entirely different matter altogether.
A true baller..Turkish Delight? The kid is awesome and has surpassed the expectations of many by merely still being at the club given every challenge he has faced every single season since his arrival. Arda Güler is a unique profile in the Real Madrid squad. He is a purely technical player while also having tactical awareness to make up for his physical short-comings.
Arda's story is one of perseverance. It is difficult enough to make it at Real Madrid without major obstacles but Arda has had to overcome injuries and lack of trust as well as rife competition in the squad. He has seemingly come out the other side, looking increasingly like the fabulous footballer we imagined upon his arrival in 2024. Mourinho will have to find a way to use Arda without upsetting the proverbial apple cart.
Thiago was seemingly in the window shop until apparently Jose Mourinho insisted that he remain at the club.

The Boston Red Sox made some major moves at the trade deadline, and the future of their infield has been greatly impacted.
For starters, despite many rumors, the Red Sox did not acquire a long-term shortstop. That leaves the door wide open for Franklin Arias to earn the job next season. Additionally, the Red Sox moved on from Marcelo Mayer, practically ensuring that Curtis Mead will be the team's second baseman moving forward.
As it stands right now, Willson Contreras will be the Red Sox's first baseman next season, and then he has a club option for 2028. Caleb Durbin, who has turned his season around and proven he belongs, will be the third baseman for the foreseeable future. Mead is under contract through 2030 and figures to be locked into second base.
Newly acquired catcher Adley Rutschman is under contract through next season, but is a strong extension candidate after the Red Sox gave up a haul to add him. The only question mark is at shortstop. Trevor Story is due $25 million next season, and has a $25 million club option for 2028.

Andrew Baggarly just described today's activity as "frenetic," and he's right. The past two trade deadlines have been practically Zaidian for Buster Posey, Zack Minasian, and the San Francisco Giants. For as much as the franchise has oversteered from the 2019-2024 days, the new regime is a lot like the old one in that no matter what they've done to improve the team, it's been stuck in the zone of mediocre-to-bad. But Zaidi was (seemingly) constrained by ownership in how he could rebuild on the fly. Posey doesn't seem to have any constraints. Does that automatically make today's deadline deals great? In a moment, I'll grade them.
First, though, let's contextualize this ******* ysis. It helps that these 2026ers will go down as one of the worst teams in franchise history, something Zaidi's squads never came close to even suggesting. Trading away a chunk of the roster, then, would seem like a mercy killing. But also, with free agency and the regular season being such busts, the only real excitement these days seems to come from acquiring hope in the form of prospects. The Giants have done that in their past two drafts, at last year's deadline, and now, possibly, this year's deadline, too.

I admit that my eyes darted far to the right by sheer instinct. I've seen farm system rankings for decades now and have become accustomed to the Giants being down, down on the list. And yes, I'd forgotten that I'd written up FanGraphs' farm rankings back in June. The Giants have been on the rise for some time now. But heading into the trade deadline ranked #9 ? Cool! And that was before the majority of the trades.
Second, I hope people have internalized that trade deadline deals are usually not great deals. Yes, headliners are moved, but rarely does the team getting prospects in return get equal (future) value. But, like, in the case of say, the Detroit Tigers, it was going to be hard to get back fair value for Tarik Skubal whether they traded him before the season or at the deadline, and the fact that they decided to try to go for it this season with Skubal is a very reasonable one on their part that just didn't work out in the way they'd hoped.

Earlier this year, CEO Greg Abel announced that Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKA) (NYSE: BRKB) resumed its share repurchase program in March. But much to investors' disappointment, the company's first-quarter earnings report revealed just $235 million in total share repurchases that month. That's practically unnoticeable for a company with a market cap of more than $1 trillion.
It looks like Abel stepped up the repurchase activity in the second quarter. A Barron's **** ysis of Warren Buffett's SEC filings in July indicates Berkshire Hathaway's Class A share count declined by around 11,000 between April 14 and July 14. Due to rounding and estimating the average share price of repurchases, the actual amount spent buying back shares won't be known until Berkshire releases its Q2 earnings results. However, Barron's suggests the amount could be as high as $11 billion.

When Berkshire Hathaway buys back its own shares, it's usually a good sign that management believes its shares are undervalued. Chairman Warren Buffett has decried companies that repurchase shares without regard for their stock's price or value. Conversely, Berkshire's share repurchase authorization permits repurchases only when "Berkshire's Chief Executive Officer, after consultation with the Chairman of the Board, believes that the repurchase price is below Berkshire's intrinsic value, conservatively determined."

FCS coaches and players gathered to share their thoughts on the upcoming season (amongst other things) over the last few weeks at various media days across the country. When Chris Parson was asked at UAC Media Day why he decided to return with Austin Peay after a breakout year in 2025, the star signal caller was was quick to correct the notion that he came back and cited his teammates at coaches as a major reason why he chose to stay instead of transferring. He is expected to be one of the top FCS quarterbacks this year and the Governors are picked by several to be a playoff team in 2026 largely because of his decision to remain with the team heading into his senior year.

During SoCon Media Day, second-year ETSU head coach Will Healy was asked by The Bluebloods how he and his staff approach the challenge of getting the right guys for their culture in Johnson City out of the transfer portal with so little time to actually get to know most of the players. Healy's answer was insightful and candid as he spoke about what he pitches to potential Buccaneers. The most revamped position group in a long time for the Cleveland Browns is this year’s offensive line. Gone are Cam Robinson, Joel Bitonio, Ethan Pocic, Wyatt Teller, and Jack Conklin.
We feel pretty confident that Spencer Fano will start at left tackle, Tytus Howard will be at right tackle, and Zion Johnson will be at left guard. The other two positions are up for a debate, with a caveat. Even though two positions are available, Elgton Jenkins is practically guaranteed to fill one of them: the team is just trying to figure out if that will be at center or right guard.
If Jenkins is at center, then that opens up a competition at right guard between Teven Jenkins and KT Leveston. If E. Jenkins is put at right guard, then it could mean a spot for for rookie Parker Brailsford at center.
The names are a bit truncated in the Reacts poll below due to the new polling method we’re using, so I’ll try to keep that in mind for the future. For now, though, tell us which tandem you think is most likely to start at center and right guard for the Browns to begin the 2026 season.

Shaun: I would love to sign Zian Flemming from Burnley and I would offload George Hirst if possible.
Reuben: I would say (and some people might disagree with me) that Jack Clarke should leave the club, as long as Jaden Philogene stays. I think we should cash in on a player who's had a good season but is really not good enough for the top division. He was practically non-existent in our last season in the Premier League and I still think he won't be good in the top flight. He has shown some great performances, but he has been sloppy in many areas of his game.
James: Daizen Maeda from Celtic would be great. He is an all-action forward, with goals and ***** ists to his game. I would say a reluctant goodbye to Philogene. If he has designs on leaving. It isn't good to hold on to a player with those intentions.
