There's an element of this new world order that's thrilling—our opinions matter! But...what's that phrase about opinions again?
I'd argue that we've critiqued ourselves into mass hysteria, conflating personal opinion with expertise. Just because someone has something to say doesn't mean they actually know what they're saying. There once was a time when people took the time to learn, gain experience, and work in a specific field so they're equipped to handle certain industries. But now, everyone simply thinks they know enough about everything. And it's making fashion and entertainment commentary less fun for everyone involved.

In the opening of her TikTok video, Tara Lynn (taraswrld) said, "I just found out some crazy sh** about the hotel I'm supposed to be checking into today." She said she would check out of her current hotel and check into the new one the same day, but after the reveal, she has "nowhere to go."
Lynn described her initial reaction to the property representatives contacting her. She said, "They emailed me the other day while I was at Harry about this comp stay. So I, like, briefly looked at their website. Everything looked nice. I signed the contract." However, she noted that a day before she was supposed to check in, she did a deep dive on the property's website and found out she was checking into a hostel with rooms of about 32 square feet and shared bathrooms.

The woman who alleges she was **** ually **** aulted by Cornell University fraternity members has received threats pressuring her to drop her lawsuit, her attorney said Sunday.
Thomas Giuffra told CNN’s “State of the Union” that people attempting to unmask his client’s identity had also targeted at least three women mistakenly identified as her. The former Cornell student is identified as Jane Doe in court documents.
“She’s received multiple threats, and women who aren’t even Jane Doe receive threats,” Giuffra said. He added that he had received a threat Sunday morning.
Giuffra did not identify those responsible or say whether the threats had been reported to law enforcement. He did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for more information about the threats.
Jane Doe filed a lawsuit last month against Cornell and seven Chi Phi fraternity members, alleging she was **** ually **** aulted over the course of hours on Oct. 19-20, 2024, while she was under the influence of ketamine, alcohol and marijuana.

As Sen. Thom Tillis exits the Senate, he's blasting many of the advisers President Trump has surrounded himself with as "sycophants, and calling on his colleagues to stand up to executive power like the co-equal branch of government they are."
The 66-year-old senior senator from North Carolina unloads on what he calls the "WTF moments" of the second Trump Administration in a new book, "How to Lose Friends and Antagonize Presidents." Having served in the Senate during the Barack Obama, Joe Biden and both Trump presidencies, Tillis said he's increasingly worried about how the nation's system of checks and balances is being tested by the outsized influence of the executive branch.
"We will have a sort of dictator king if we're not careful," he said.
Every recent White House has been eager to govern by executive order, something that's been especially true during the current Trump administration, Tillis said. Presidents, he said, fail to understand that Congress is a coequal branch that should be treated as a peer, and that Congress needs to act as such.
