Nvidia looks like it's going to start to try to recover as we are up a little bit in pre-market trading on Monday after that horrific candlestick that was printed on Friday, as Kevin Warsh suggested that interest rate cuts are not happening, and in fact, interest rate hikes could still be on the table.
That being said, this is a market that is still pretty hot, and therefore it looks as if there are some value hunters out there early in pre-market trading willing to take advantage of this.
Whether or not that works out remains to be seen, it's worth noting that the gap has been about half filled from a couple of days ago from the earnings call.
So, we'll see. It's a market that, if overall risk appetite comes back, a lot of times people like Nvidia for that reason alone.
Apple looks like it's going to be ever so slightly down, but unlike Nvidia, it held up pretty well on Friday. That being said, it sold off viciously during its earnings call, but since then has been grinding higher.

What do the World Cup, Formula-1 and Kpop Demon Hunters have in common? They contributed significantly to Lego's record revenue in the first half of the year. The Danish toymaker launched more than 330 new products in six months and has been riding the fad wave.
Lego's new product releases this year included a replica of the official FIFA World Cup trophy, an 825-piece, buildable display model of Derpy Tiger and Sussie Bird from Kpop Demon Hunters and the F1 licensing deal lineup included Ferraris, Aston Martin, McLaren and Mercedes, each with a driver mini-figure.
But let's get into some numbers: The toymaker's revenue jumped 21% to about $6.55 billion in the first half of this year, with pre-tax profit surging a third to roughly $1.77 billion. But Lego has been breaking its own records every consecutive year. Lego's first-half revenue rose 12% to about $5.41 billion in 2025 on the back of a then-record 314 new sets, and it closed 2025 with revenue up 12% to about $13.05 billion, operating profit up 18% to roughly $3.44 billion. This means the 2026 first-half acceleration to 21% growth is a much faster pace than the year it just came off.
What's the secret behind Lego's speed and success? Keeping the company private. Lego is owned 75% by the Kirk Kristiansen family's holding company, and 25% by the Lego Foundation. It has no public shares, ticker or disclosed IPO plans.

On Tuesday, Lego posted a record first-half of 41.9 billion Danish kroner, or roughly $6.5 billion, in revenue — up 21% from the same period in 2025. In constant currency terms, revenue grew 26%.
The company said operating profit climbed 22% to reach 10.9 billion Danish kroner, equivalent to around $1.7 billion. Net profit climbed 32% to 8.6 billion Danish kroner. Consumer sales grew 22%, driven by demand across the product range. The company said it outpaced the global toy market and gained market share.
CEO Niels B. Christiansen said the results reflected broad appeal across the portfolio. "Our portfolio of products offers something for everyone, and culturally relevant brand experiences continue to drive demand across the globe," Christiansen said in a statement.
In the first half of the year, Lego introduced 332 new sets. Bestselling themes included Speed Champions, Botanicals, Technic, Icons and Star Wars. The company also introduced its LEGO SMART Play platform, which brings sensor-based interactive features to brick sets, and debuted a partnership with Pokémon. Sporting partnerships tied to Formula 1, the FIFA World Cup 2026 and K-pop property KPop Demon Hunters also contributed to consumer demand.
Christiansen told CNBC that new partnerships draw in consumers who had not previously found their interests represented in the Lego brand. "We've also seen that we retain consumers really, really well, and we're selling more to those we have," he said.

Keith Foulke, a hero to Boston Red Sox Nation for getting the final out in the 2004 World Series to break the 86-year-old Curse of the Bambino, was looking forward to his role as manager of the Boston Hunters in the inaugural season of the Women's Pro Baseball League, which is playing exclusively in Springfield at Robin Roberts Stadium.
His tenure lasted all of three games.
In an interview with The State Journal-Register on Tuesday, Aug. 11, Foulke did his best to keep his words polite and professional regarding his ouster. But it's clear he believes the league gave him a raw deal.
"It's just disappointing," Foulke said. "At the end of the day, I walk with my head held high. I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't say anything derogatory, I didn't say anything mean to my players, ever. I was always really positive. I think the ownership just kind of had a change of mind on the schedule that we'd agreed upon. I was the manager, but I wasn't going to be able to be there full time, and ultimately, they didn't think that was a good plan."
Before Saturday's game with the New York Heights, Foulke was informed by league ownership — led by Keith Stein, along with commissioner Justine Siegal — they were relieving him of his duties.

Reddit beat EPS by 29%, grew revenue 61%, and tripled profit, yet fell 20%+ after Huffman flagged choppy search referrals.
Eight consecutive quarters of 60%+ revenue growth and a PEG of 0.1 split retail traders between value hunters and AI traffic skeptics.
Meta's post-earnings selloff despite 28% revenue growth mirrors RDDT's setup, where both stocks trade as if they missed rather than beat estimates.
Act now: the ******* yst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Reddit didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
Shares of Reddit (NYSE:RDDT) have sold off sharply since the July 30 earnings report, despite one of the cleanest fundamental quarters in ad-tech this year. Reddit fell 13.7% over the past week and is down 32.7% year to date, though the stock rallied nearly 10% on August 3 to close at about $154.71.

A blue-chip consulting giant is trading at a deep discount after a punishing year, forcing investors to decide if the market is offering a bargain or simply pricing in the inevitable.
How can IT consulting powerhouse that serves the world's biggest companies trade for nearly half the market's multiple? After a year that saw its stock fall 35% while the S&P 500 climbed, Accenture (ACN) now trades at just 13.6 times earnings, a steep discount to the S&P 500 median of 24.4. For bargain hunters, this raises the essential question: is this a rare opportunity to buy quality on sale, or is it a trap signaling a business in decline?
The business still generates significant cash.
On paper, Accenture's financial engine looks sound. The company's operating margin over the last twelve months is a healthy 15.8%, a figure that held steady from the year before. It converts sales into cash efficiently, with an operating cash flow margin of 18.0%. That translates to a free cash flow yield of 11.9%, a number that suggests the market price is well-covered by actual cash generation. These are not the vital signs of a deteriorating business. The one clear blemish is slower top-line growth; its 3-year average annual revenue growth of 4.8% trails the S&P 500 median of 7.8%.
The market is pricing in a slowdown.

When Ayami Sato takes the mound as the starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Queens on Saturday, it will be the culmination of a professional career that has spanned 16 years and three countries. The right-handed hurler is largely considered the best pitcher in the history of women's baseball. She has the awards and experience to prove it, and now she's taking on America when she makes her debut in the Women's Professional Baseball League, the first pro women's baseball league in the United States since the 1950s.
Even though most Americans tuning into the WPBL may not have heard of her, Sato's resume speaks for itself. Sato's fastball has been clocked at nearly 80mph and her curveball has a devastating spin rate that is higher than many Major League Baseball pitchers. As a member of the ****** an National Team since 2010, Sato has won six gold medals. She is the only player in Women's Baseball World Cup history to win three consecutive MVP awards. As a member of the now-defunct ****** an's Women's Baseball League, Sato led the league in strikeouts in three of the last four seasons. And most recently, in 2024 she became the first woman to play pro baseball in Canada as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the Intercounty Baseball League.
Now, she is bringing her talent to the US and the WPBL. "This is a brand new league for all of us," Sato tells the Guardian through a translator. "So I also want to approach it with the mindset of a rookie –staying curious, paying attention to everything around me, and embracing this new challenge with an open mind."
The league will play all its games in a centralized location for its first season, at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois. There are four teams – the Queens, the New York Heights, the San Francisco Firebells and the Boston Hunters. And the best players from all over the world will take the field together for the first time as one league, including at least nine players from the US women's national baseball team. On the Queens, Sato will play alongside USA star third baseman Ashton Lansdell and Little League World Series star Mo'ne Davis.
WPBL co-founder and commissioner Justine Seigel says it was always the plan to recruit internationally for the league. "We want many of the best players, and to have many of the best players, you have to go out into the world and find the best shortstop in Venezuela, and who's pitching in ****** an," Seigel says. "It's also fun because baseball is baseball, but it's also got its own little nuances country-to-country, and it's kind of fun to see in a game, as well."

Management attributed the 25% adjusted EBITDA growth and 260 basis point margin expansion to structural improvements rather than cyclical market recovery, which remains uneven.
The company achieved its $90 million run rate cost optimization milestone ahead of schedule by simplifying the organization and optimizing the manufacturing network.
Performance in Polymer Solutions was driven by IBC and large container strength, while Closures benefited from high single-digit volume growth through new business wins.
Management highlighted a strategic shift in the sales force from 'farmers' to 'hunters,' focusing on solution-based selling and new logo acquisition in high-value segments like pharma and fragrances.

McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) is among the top dividend stocks in President Trump's portfolio, according to his disclosures earlier this year. MCD has about 50 years of consecutive dividend increases under its belt. The company is scheduled to announce earnings on August 4. The stock is down about 10% so far this year. Is this an opportunity to buy?
McDonald's real business isn't food. About 95% of its restaurants are run by franchisees, not the company. McDonald's keeps the land and the buildings, and it collects rent and royalties on top of the franchise fee. Franchised locations run at roughly an 83% operating margin. Company-run restaurants sit closer to 12%, before corporate costs even get factored in. Franchisees eat the labor bills, the food cost swings, the day-to-day headaches. McDonald's just cashes the check.
Revenue was up 9.4% year over year. Comparable sales grew 3.8% globally and 3.9% in the US, and a chunk of that came from the McValue menu plus a Netflix crossover with K-Pop Demon Hunters that apparently got younger customers walking in.
Systemwide sales (this counts every franchised store, not just company-owned ones) were up 11% on a reported basis.

Meteorite hunters scour Ohio for fragments of 7-ton **** e rock that crashed into Earth

MEDINA, Ohio (AP) — Meteorite hunters fanned out across a wide swath of Ohio on Thursday, hoping to collect fragments of an estimated 7-ton (6,350 kilograms) **** e rock that crashed into Earth this week after a dazzling fireball that was seen from hundreds of miles away.
The meteoroid broke apart around 9 a.m. Tuesday over Valley City, a half-hour south of Cleveland, after it sped through the atmosphere at about 45,000 miles (72,420 kilometers) per hour. It caused a sonic boom that rattled buildings an
