An ordinary laptop used to be the kind of purchase you could put off until the old one finally gave up.
I recently discussed this in my story, Intel CEO reveals a PC problem as Goldman cuts stock target, in which I shared how my friends struggled to choose new PCs due to soaring prices.
Moreover, the tech punditry says the problem goes deeper than a few disappointing deals.
Now, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) CEO Lisa Su has delivered a similar warning on November 3, echoing Intel (INTC) CEO Lip-Bu Tan's concerns about a difficult year ahead for the PC market in 2027.
Most of that pressure's coming from memory prices, but interestingly, AMD itself posted record quarterly sales, largely driven by booming server-chip sales.

Being a "buy-and-hold" investor sounds simple, but it can be harder to do in real life. When stocks are wobbly, when the tech-heavy Nasdaq-100 goes into a sell-off, when economists question the economic value of artificial intelligence (AI), it's easy to get nervous and make fear-driven moves based on short-term news.
But for most people who are not professional investors or money managers or hedge fund executives, the best investment strategy is often just to buy and hold. Buy stocks in a diversified portfolio like the S&P 500 index. Keep buying stocks as often as you can.
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 16x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our **** ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
And then: hold them. Don't sell. Hold them for years -- five years, 10 years, or more. Don't try to day trade, don't try to move in and out of the market, don't try to sell your stocks based on a hunch about what the market will do tomorrow. If you're really in it for the long run, buy-and-hold investing can generate significant wealth for everyday investors.
My two favorite stock exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are low-cost index funds. They're simple. They're "boring." But these two ETFs together let me own basically all the stocks in the world.

A $900,000 traditional 401(k) left to heirs yields roughly $684,000 after taxes, while a Roth passes the full $900,000 income-tax-free.
Heirs must empty inherited accounts within 10 years, potentially pushing a child earning $150,000 into the 32% or higher tax bracket.
Converting gradually during low-income retirement years keeps taxes in the 22 to 24 percent brackets and avoids Medicare surcharges above $218,000 in joint income.
The biggest 401k decisions tend to get made once and never revisited: when to roll it over, what to hold inside it, and when to start taking money out. That is exactly what the report: 401k & IRA Tips and Answers was created to address, and it is free today. Read more here. (Sponsor)
Picture a 66-year-old with $900,000 in a traditional 401(k) who has already decided the money goes to the adult children. The open question is whether to leave it alone or convert it to Roth first. That choice can change what the kids keep by six figures.

GLD and IAU let investors hold gold inside a regular brokerage IRA without a separate custodian, vault, or storage fees.
The IRS treats any IRA-owned coins taken home as a taxable distribution, plus a 10% penalty for owners under 59½.
Gold IRAs pile on custodian fees, storage fees, and dealer markups above spot price, which hit $3,929 an ounce in late 2026.
Read More: Learn 7 ways to generate income with a $1,000,000+ portfolio (sponsor)
A common pitch in late-night gold ads goes like this: roll your IRA into gold and keep the coins in a safe at home. Part of that is real. A gold IRA, an individual retirement account that holds physical precious metal, is allowed under federal tax law. The home safe is where it gets tricky. If the account owner takes possession of the coins, the IRS treats them as a withdrawal. That means taxable income and possibly an early withdrawal penalty.

The 2026 midterm results are in, and the Democrats won in a landslide. So what does this mean for Sandisk (NASDAQ:SNDK) stock? Apparently, nothing good.
Shares of the NAND flash memory giant sold off 8.6% through 11:50 a.m. ET Wednesday as nervous investors wonder what a sea change in government might mean for artificial intelligence data centers -- and for Sandisk's sales of memory to outfit them.

StreetInsider.com is blaming the midterm election results for "renewed selling pressure" on AI and memory chip stocks. As the thinking goes, "potential tighter oversight of AI infrastructure and data-center expansion" would be bad news for memory sales growth, and a Democratic Congress is seen as more likely to pass such regulations than the former Republican-led Congress was. And some Wall Street ****** ysts agree. As the election approached, Fox Advisors downgraded Sandisk stock to equalweight, and Wells Fargo cut its price target on the stock.

USO sits near its 52-week high of $172, but its price rests on a futures war premium that the physical market is already discounting.

One cargo of the Republic of Congo's Djeno crude reportedly sold at $25 under Dated Brent. A month earlier, refiners were paying up for any barrel that could load soon.
Dated Brent is the price of physical North Sea cargoes loading in the next few weeks. ICE Brent futures are contracts for later delivery. In early October, Dated traded $30 a barrel above futures, and by November 3, 2026, that premium had shrunk to roughly $3.70 a barrel.

Living off $10,000 a month, or $120,000 a year, in retirement may seem like plenty. It's $2.4 million if you retire at 65 and live 20 years, and nearly double the $5,094 a month not-yet-retired Americans polled by Schroders for its 2026 US Retirement Survey said they would be comfortable with.
But how far $10,000 in monthly income goes in retirement depends on where you retire. The cost of living, including rent, groceries, healthcare, utilities, transportation, and taxes, varies from place to place. The good news is that, except in cities such as New York or Los Angeles, $10,000 a month goes a long way.
But how much? From Florida to Texas, here's a look at how much $10,000 a month gets you in five popular retirement destinations across the country.
Ranked the best place to retire in 2026 by WalletHub, Orlando is popular with retirees because of its warm climate, countless golf courses, and tax-friendly policies — including no income, estate, or inheritance tax. The city boasts several music venues, art galleries, fishing facilities and adult volunteering opportunities.

Call it a contrarian move. It has been a riveting 12 hours or so in the markets as investors slice and dice the midterm election outcomes.
Initially, stocks got hammered as the results trickled in. The thinking was that Democrats are less pro-business than Republicans, and since they will control the House and the Senate, there goes the corporate profit miracle that has driven the markets over the past two years.
But something very interesting has emerged after that initial knee-jerk reaction. Stocks are rallying on Wednesday — big-time!
Here are three reasons I think we're seeing this play out.
First, the midterm election results threaten to significantly disrupt AI data center expansion as voter backlash over soaring utility bills, grid instability, and water usage drive a sharp political pivot toward tighter regulatory oversight. That is being viewed as a positive for hyperscalers such as Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) and Amazon (AMZN) in that they will be forced to pull back on spending, which would boost free cash flow.

The midterm elections are over. But as far as the stock market goes, Tuesday's voting results probably don't matter much, aside from some elevated market volatility.
But there's some good news about the midterms, and it has nothing to do with which party came out on top. Historically, the six-month period following midterm elections -- from November of the midterm election year to the following April -- is the best in the four-year presidential cycle for the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC). That's according to the Stock Trader's Almanac, which tracks market returns closely.

And that means this is a good time for the stock market.
The Four-Year Presidential Election Cycle Theory holds that the stock market has a relatively predictable pattern surrounding presidential terms. In the first two years of office, the new president focuses on top priorities, such as healthcare and education, and the market's performance is below average.

DrewDober credits TerenceCrawford with helping him adjust his approach against RafaelAlves.
Dober met Crawford at B&B Boxing in Omaha, Nebraska, andrecalls the boxer leaving him bloodied during their first sparringsession. Years later, Crawford offered advice from ringside thatDober says helped him finish Alves at UFC277 in Dallas.
Dober said Crawford switched to southpaw to mirror his stance andbloodied his nose with a jab. He recalled absorbing three punchesfor every one he attempted to throw.
"Terence Crawford bloodied my nose in the first 30 seconds of ourspar. I was a young fighter in a North Omaha gym," Dober wrote onX. "Never heard of the guy they called 'Bud.' He saw I was asouthpaw, switched to southpaw too, and stuck me with one jab. Iwas bleeding like a stuck pig."
Crawford attended Dober's fight against Alves at UFC 277 in 2022.Dober said he struggled to connect cleanly because of Alves' headmovement. As he returned to his corner after the opening round, henoticed Crawford calling from the front row and urging him toattack the body.
Dober followed that advice, finding success in the second roundbefore knocking out Alves with a body punch in the third.
"In the fight against RafaelAlves, I'm trying to hit him in the face, I'm throwing punchesand this man has amazing head movement…" Dober recalled. "After thefirst round, I'm going over to my corner and I see Terence Crawfordin that front row. And he's just yelling at me, 'Drew, Drew.' So, Ilook at him and he goes, 'Go to the body, go to the body.' I waslike, if Crawford says it. So, in the second round, I started goingto the body and started finding success. So, in the third round, Ithrew a liver shot and I dropped him with that liver shot."
Dober (29-15, 1 NC) has won his last two fights by stoppage andwill face ChrisDuncan (15-3) at UFC334 on Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

NBA rumors: Will Suns use Jalen Green as trade bait to acquire PG help amid early frustrations? appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Phoenix Suns have stumbled out of the gate to a 1-2 record to start the 2026-27 NBA season. Devin Booker totaled just three points in the Suns' last game, a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Jalen Green has also had a rough start to the year.
Recently, ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel spoke on the possibility of the Suns looking for point guard help in their backcourt.
"Could the Suns look to make a trade for a point guard? Maybe. They're not going to rush into anything right now, given their cap situation, but they do have an interesting contract on their roster… Jalen Green. Does he fit in next to Devin Booker, because neither of those guys are a true point guard… maybe this is the year that (a Green trade) finally goes down," he said, per ClutchPoints on X, formerly Twitter.

Millennials grew up watching the Olsen twins on Full House and in other family-friendly movies. It Takes Two, Passport to Paris, the list goes on.
Then came their business endeavors after stepping away from showbiz, and this year marks two full decades since Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen launched a clothing line with one mission: design the perfect white T-shirt.
They called it The Row, and Women's Wear Daily reports that it remains influential across handbags and other fashion realms — yet never losing sight of its beginnings as an elevated basics brand.
The fashion line remains active on social media, especially this month. Check out The Row's Summer 2027 Womenswear Collection in the recent Instagram carousel below.
"Focusing on exceptional fabrics, impeccable details, and precise tailoring, the house combines a timeless perspective with subtle attitudes which form an irreverent classic signature," per the brand's official website. "The Row's collections also explore the strength of simplistic shapes that speak to discretion and are based on uncompromising quality."

Suze Orman favors quality dividend-paying stocks over bonds for retirees, arguing rising dividends better protect income from inflation than fixed coupons.
A $500,000 Treasury at 4.96% yields $24,800 annually, but a dividend portfolio growing 6% yearly surpasses that income after roughly nine years.
Retirees with a spending gap should hold five years of that gap in Treasuries, TIPS, or CDs to avoid selling stocks during a downturn.

Suze Orman has spent years nudging retirees toward stocks that pay them. On her podcast episode Suze's Projections for 2026, released January 11, 2026, she described the income approach she prefers: "as time goes on and you are older and you're looking for income, dividend-paying stocks that are good quality, that pay you a good dividend along with some of your money invested purely for growth."

The World Series matchup isn't set in stone just yet, but Tampa Bay took a major step towards being the one that will face Milwaukee in the Fall Classic. They took two out of three in Cleveland to return home with a 3-2 series lead heading into a big Game 6 tonight, where they'll start Freddy Peralta who has been dealing this postseason while the Guardians will scramble to piece their way through a bullpen game after having to get 21 outs from their relievers yesterday. Thanks to the postponed Game 4 eating up the travel day, even if they do win tonight they'll also be forced to play the potential do-or-die Game 7 on four straight days without a night off — it's not looking pretty for Cleveland, to say the least.
We've got a full slate for you ahead of this critical Game 6 later tonight, starting with Jake's recap of Game 5's action in the Roundup. Michael hands out a stellar grade to David Bednar to kick off our annual Report Card series, and Kevin recalls Sandy Alomar Sr. and his days with the Yankees on his birthday. Then in the afternoon Jonathan goes over the Yankees' longest home runs of the season and Estevao reflects on the gap between Giancarlo Stanton and 500 career home runs before I return to open up the mailbag for more of your questions.

Truro City should have got something from their FA Cup loss at National League side Sutton United, according to **** istant manager Stewart Yetton.
The Tinners were unable to make the first round proper for just the second time in their history as they went down 1-0 at Gander Green Lane.
Emmanuel Osadebe's goal after 32 minutes proved the difference between the sides in south London.
"I think we should have got something out of the game," Yetton told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"We had a couple of really good chances, one in the first half from a few yards out and then Luke Jephcott has a really good chance at the end and just goes right into the one place the keeper can save it.

OLD LYME — Vivian Boller was a freshman already playing regularly for the Lyme-Old Lyme girls soccer team when she brought a request to her coach.
"She was playing outside midfield and she wasn't taking any throw-ins," coach Caroline Wallace said. "And she came up and said, 'Caroline, I want to take the throw-ins,' and I was like, 'Go for it.'"
It may seem like a simple request from a young soccer player, but there was a little more to it. Boller was born without a left arm, and in soccer, throw-ins are done with both hands on the ball.
"I have a vague memory of it," Boller said, "but it's still in the back of my mind. Playing for my (youth) team, I remember going up for a throw-in because my coach really liked to play quick, once the ball goes out, you grab it and play it immediately. I went to grab it and the other coach said something along the lines of, 'She can't do that. That's not legal.'"
No one, though, can tell Vivian Boller, now a junior, she can't do something and expect it to stick. It hasn't been an issue in high school, where Boller now plays center midfield with a traditionally powerful girls soccer program. She also plays guard for the basketball team and competes in sprints and jumps for the two-time state champion girls track team.

All of a sudden, that 24-team College Football Playoff format might be front and center for an SEC dreaming of getting five, six, ten of its members into the postseason tournament.
Yes, the CFP is supposed to use a new metric – which is really a twist on what it already utilizes – that gives more respect to the strengths of schedules. That's supposed to boost the SEC – give, say, 2025 Texas credit for losing at Ohio State, even though it went 9-3 – but there are two issues with that, at least when it comes to what we're projecting below.
First, the College Football Playoff always falls back on record ranking. If there's a debate in the Grapevine meeting room – it's nice; the food is tremendous – 10-2 is a lot easier to sell than 9-3, which is why we haven't seen Power Four programs with three pre-conference championship losses leapfrog those with two or fewer.
And second, even though the upsets are coming – last Saturday probably wasn't an outlier – there's no way, no how, no chance the committee will put in a 9-3 power conference team in over an 11-1 Power Four program.
That's where the SEC comes in. A few weeks ago, it looked like the conference would own the CFP. And then Florida started losing. So did LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Now, as we're doing this just past the midway point in the season, there are just four SEC teams left – Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee – with fewer than two losses, and all of them have one.
So how many SEC teams will make the College Football Playoff? Our best guess is three, and it'll take a shoehorn to make that happen. (By the way, we're still bullish on Kentucky, but we're predicting a few close losses over the next few weeks.)
– Why the 24-Team CFP Probably Won't Suck

Projected Final Record: 13-0
Remaining Games: at App State, Troy, at Southern Miss, at UConn, Coastal Carolina
This will likely be a big debate if Boise State keeps on rolling and goes 12-1 with a Pac-12 **** le, with its only loss coming to Oregon in the season opener. James Madison won't have any Power Four wins – last year's team didn't either – but if it's 13-0, it'll be tough to leave out.
Projected Final Record: 9-3
Remaining Games: at Auburn, Alabama, Texas, at Tennessee, at Arkansas
Here's where the strength of schedule emphasis kicks in. The call is that the committee would rank a three-loss LSU over a Big 12 or ACC team – it's my favorite CFP line, because I swear I've seen a little box behind glass that the committee goes to when it's in a pinch that says – … because it's Alabama.
There's still one more LSU loss coming somewhere – like, at Tennessee – but Alabama is everything in the brief history of the College Fo

Modern football is a game of two parts: the first hour or so, dictated by carefully curated gameplans and training ground patterns; and the final half-hour when a flurry of substitutes come on, rigid structures fade away and a match opens at the seams. ***** nal were dire for most of this game at the City Ground, shut out by Nottingham Forest's red wall. But yet again the power of Mikel Arteta's "finishers" decided a match.
Noni Madueke was sent on at half-time for Eberechi Eze, who had been statuesque at his station on the left touchline, which, in fairness, is not his position. With the clock ticking towards 80 minutes, Madueke did what Eze hadn't and drove at Forest's defence before unleashing a shot, which took a fortunate deflection off Jair Cunha on its way past the helpless Matz Sels. It went down as ***** nal's only shot on target, and in truth it might have been curling wide.
This was the third game in a row in which Arteta rang the changes in the second half as his team struggled to click, after Leeds last weekend and Lille in midweek. Once again he made a triple substitution on 65 minutes, sending on Jurrien Timber, Mikel Merino and Viktor Gyokeres, and once again a stubborn defence was worn down in the final stages. No Premier League side has generated more goals and ***** ists from the bench since the start of last season.
Noni Madueke scored the only goal of the game (Reuters)
Forest were excellent in their determination to blunt ***** nal's attack. Like Eze, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka had little joy, and Oliver Glasner took positives from a performance of cohesion and spirit. Liam Delap was a brilliant nuisance in attack and could have equalised in the final minutes but for Ezri Konsa's last-ditch block. Murillo nearly scored the goal of the season, dribbling in from the left touchline before curling just over the bar with one of the last kicks. But Forest remain third from bottom after a third successive defeat, and their wait for a first home goal of the season goes on.

Earlier in the season, Angel Reese exclaimed that "Anything that goes up is mine," reflecting her mentality in the paint. Reese is now the WNBA's Defensive Player of the Year. Grabbing 12.1 rebounds per game in the regular season, she is far ahead of any other player in that category, and her gritty style of play has made her a solid anchor for the Atlanta Dream. However, Flau'jae Johnson believes that if Reese can consistently deliver on a less talked-about aspect of her game, she can be nearly unplayable.
"On a defensive point, I wouldn't say nothing. She's just a dog, and when you a dog, things just happen on defense. She's relentless. She was playing like a DB against New York. It's relentless," said Johnson on Sue Bird's podcast, Bird's Eye View.
"But I would say offensively, like that three-point shot. I've seen a couple of highlights on Instagram where Jonquel's like Let her shoot. She's knocking them down. And I think that's the difference. If she could consistently do that, like you got to play them straight up and that opens up the lane. So I think like that's like the evolution of like her game. But defense isn't really worried about that."
Johnson is reflecting on the moment when, during the third game of the series, Reese found herself alone at the perimeter, with Liberty player Jonquel Jones leaving her unguarded, and Reese knocking down the three comfortably.
Flau'jae's candid take on Angel Reese's game reveals what scouts are really watching for. Subscribe to stay ahead of the WNBA's most compelling storylines.

A handshake agreement. That's the term I saw all weekend regarding the College Football Playoff expanding from 12 teams to 24 beginning next year, with ESPN remaining the sole rights holder. There are positives and negatives to the reported deal, and it was refreshing to hear discourse on both sides of the argument across ESPN's networks this weekend. That's something college football fans didn't get with the network's coverage of the Protect College Sports Act.
However, in the end, ESPN owns all the goods. Again. The network has been the exclusive rights holder since the playoff began just 12 years ago. Fans can debate whether expanding the playoff to 24 teams will diminish the weekly must-win stakes of college football or lead to the elimination of conference championship games for major conferences. One thing remains clear: ESPN controls the entire package. That raises a question: If the sport wants to expand on the field, why can't it expand how those games are broadcast?
The old saying goes, "Follow the money." After signing a six-year, $7.8 billion exclusive extension in 2024, ESPN received an exclusive 30-day window to negotiate with the College Football Playoff over expansion. That window expired, but a handshake agreement was reportedly reached in the days that followed.
As a result, FOX Sports, CBS Sports/TNT Sports/Skydance, NBC Sports, and others never had an opportunity to compete for the expanded package during that window. Has ESPN dominated college football coverage for generations? Of course. Is watching College GameDay part of the average fan's Saturday routine during the fall? Absolutely.
But imagine if the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL handled their biggest events the same way. Imagine if Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady were left out of the NFL's biggest games. What if Kenny Albert and Eddie Olczyk never got the opportunity to call the Stanley Cup Final?

Week 6 wasn't a week of huge unknown shifts, but of incremental gains on the field. Thus, we don't have a lot of clear steps forward, but players who could get there in the near future. We also have a lot of mess for Stock Down. We'll fetch Marie Kondo.
We don't know when Saquon Barkley will return from his hamstring injury. It could very well be Week 7 with an extra recovery day. But what we do know is that Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby are on injured reserve, and Pierce just played a game in which he took 61-of-64 offensive snaps. Even if Barkley comes back at full strength, there's room for Pierce to be on fantasy rosters as the stash bench back.

But I don't know that I'd believe Barkley is especially close to returning after not practicing at all last week, and even if he plays in Week 7, I bet they'll take it at least a little easy on him. Pierce's role could vary wildly depending on how Barkley's week of practice goes. But no matter how it ends up, he probably deserves to be rostered in most leagues at this point. Yes, even with the Eagles offense being run by Tanner McKee.
Leading the Jets with 103 yards and a touchdown in his first game off injured reserve, Cooper is now definitely something. He's probably at the very least deserving of a 12-team roster spot. But beyond that, I'm not entirely sure what to expect from him. Adonai Mitchell could come back at any moment, and Mitchell looked good early in the season before his finger injury sidelined him.

It's not easy being a billionaire in the event that a stock market bubble bursts.
Just ask billionaire Bridgewater ****** ociates founder Ray Dalio, who sounds like he's worrying about potentially massive wealth destruction if the artificial intelligence trade goes south.
"Everybody says 'I'm worth a billion dollars' but, OK, try to spend that," Dalio said at the Forbes Global CEO Conference in Singapore on Wednesday. Bloomberg first reported his comments.
Dalio suggested that measures that force the ultrawealthy to liquidate their unrealized gains, such as a wealth tax, could hasten or contribute to a bubble popping.
"In order to spend that, you have to sell wealth in order to get money — and so the bubble usually ****** at that," he added.

Ex-Prince Andrew reportedly does not have that much of a miserable life while in exile. The former Duke of York lost all his royal ******* les after the news of his scandalous past in relation to the Jeffrey Epstein case. The former Prince also had to leave his long-time residence, the Royal Lodge, within Windsor Great Park, and move to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The new report came amid news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor challenging the British police warrants used to search two of his properties.
Ex-Prince Andrew has reportedly been "having a very nice time" while in exile in the middle of his ongoing scandal. As reported by The Royal Observer, a source made this claim about the former Duke of York to The Times.
The former Prince has been staying at the Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk after he had to leave his long-time residence, the Royal Lodge. According to the report, while moving away from a mansion with thirty rooms to a house with five bedrooms might appear to be a big loss, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has not completely lost his "charmed lifestyle."
Furthermore, per the news outlet, the insider told The Times that Ex-Prince Andrew "goes out, he goes off shooting with friends, he sees his old chums who are very loyal to him." According to the insider, the former Duke of York had not been "sitting around feeling sorry for himself any more." In the meantime, the former Prince's recent decision to take legal action against Thames Valley Police has caused quite the buzz among royal watchers.
Meanwhile, the publication further reported that the source also said to The Times that "There appears to have been a 'something must be done' moment where his lawyers, to appease him, will have said 'Don't worry, sir, we will handle it.'" This legal move came after the former Duke of York's arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Retirement isn't supposed to be a financial obstacle course. But for many retirees, it becomes one — not because they didn't save enough, but because they're avoiding the very decisions that could protect what they've already built. Small postponements and wishful thinking can quietly spiral into serious money problems.
Financial advisors see it happen again and again: retirees who put off critical decisions until the damage is done. Here are five avoidance moves that consistently undermine retirement security.
Without a realistic retirement plan, it's easy to spend more than your savings can actually support.
"What makes this especially difficult is that the conversation goes beyond just the numbers," explained Linda Grizely, financial wellness and behavioral finance speaker. "It can feel like a judgment about lifestyle, independence and past financial choices."
Most retirees keep doing what feels comfortable and hope it works out. Instead, Grizely recommended mapping your cash flow, spending, income, investments, taxes and account withdrawal strategy. Revisit this at least annually and whenever spending, markets, taxes, health or life circumstances shift.

Neymar Jr. has found a playmate who isn't shy about posing, and it is none other than his toddler daughter. The Brazilian footballer marked his little girl Mavie's birthday with a set of photos, and the little one clearly joined in the fun. There are pouts, wide eyes, and smiles all around as the father-daughter pair have fun. A heartfelt message came with the pictures, and it shows what being a girl dad means to the star footballer.
Neymar Jr. posted the carousel on Instagram to mark his daughter Mavie's third birthday on 6 October. The first image is a sweet portrait where the toddler crawls on a wooden floor and beams at the camera. She wears a simple black top with white stripes and jeans.
Things get livelier in the second photo. Father and daughter pose in front of an arched mirror at a pink dressing table. Mavie, her hair falling in soft curls, holds a makeup brush while her father takes the mirror selfie. The last two pictures are adorably comic. Mavie and Neymar are in frame in pink and black T-shirts, respectively. In one shot, she and her dad pout in unison, and in the next, both stare wide-eyed with their mouths open, making funny faces together.
The caption was written in Portuguese, and a translation shows how personal it is for the 34-year-old footballer. Neymar credits Mavie for helping him become a better father, not only to her but to her brothers and sisters. He adds that he always wanted a daughter and knew he would love the experience. He goes on to note that her smile, especially in her eyes, brightens his day. Neymar finishes his tribute to his daughter by promising to be her safe haven every day.
Mavie is one of Neymar Jr.'s four children. He has a son, Davi Lucca, with Carolina Dantas, while Mavie and Mel are his daughters with Bruna Biancardi. He also shares his daughter Helena with Amanda Kimberlly. In June, Neymar and Biancardi announced that they were expecting their third daughter together and Neymar's fifth child. The baby, whom they plan to name Mariah, will join Mavie and Mel.

Prince Harry has reportedly expressed worry about Prince William's plans for Princess Diana. For context, the Duke of Sussex might make a documentary for his mother's 30th death anniversary. Now, as per a source, William has his own plans to pay tribute to the late royal, which hasn't sat well with Harry.
According to RadarOnline, Prince Harry is not happy about Prince William's plans for Princess Diana's 30th death anniversary. The Prince of Wales is reportedly considering posthumously regaining his mother's HRH style. Diana lost her Her Royal Highness style after her divorce from King Charles in 1996.
Amid this, a royal source stated that the Duke of Sussex "is raging because he feels William potentially has a card available to him that he simply cannot play." They continued, "Harry can make a documentary, give interviews and celebrate Diana's humanitarian legacy, but William is the heir to the throne and has a completely different kind of influence within the monarchy."
The source added, "If William can ultimately help restore something that was taken away from their mother, Harry sees that as an incredibly tangible gesture." The insider further noted, "A television program comes and goes, whereas putting HRH Diana back into the historical record would endure." Thus, the Duke allegedly feels this would make "anything he produces look secondary."
This is what annoys Harry, and he doesn't wish remembering his mother "to become some competition between brothers." However, the Duke "also doesn't want to feel that William has outclassed and outdone him with the one tribute Harry could never deliver himself."

According to RadarOnline, Prince Harry is not happy about Prince William's plans for Princess Diana's 30th death anniversary. Florida exempts a $600,000 IRA from Medicaid's $2,000 ***** et limit once the account enters payout status through RMDs or regular distributions.
Every IRA distribution counts as income against Florida's $2,982 monthly cap, and nearly all of it goes directly to the nursing home.
A named IRA beneficiary keeps the remaining balance out of probate, blocking Florida's estate recovery claim under Fla. Stat. § 409.9101.

A Florida retiree entering long-term care with $600,000 in her IRA looks like an automatic Medicaid denial. A single applicant there can't hold more than $2,000 in countable ***** ets. Thankfully, Florida's IRA Medicaid rules leave a narrow opening: once a retirement account is in payout status, the state can exclude the balance from the ***** et count. This means withdrawals still count, each distribution is treated as income, and that income ends up paying most of her nursing home bill.

Like most Gen X-ers, 51-year-old Angelina Jolie likely had to study penmanship in elementary school. (As a fellow Gen X-er, I can attest that this particular class often lowered my grade point average.) But now that many schools place less emphasis on cursive, younger generations might struggle not only to write it, but to read it, too.
A recent post on the How Everything Works Instagram page shared a thank-you note reportedly written by Jolie for hotel staff. As the note goes viral, many have weighed in, calling it mostly illegible. This is causing quite a stir between generations, with some blaming a lack of education on this subject as the culprit.
The original poster added, for context, "Angelina Jolie left a handwritten thank you note for the staff after staying at a luxury hotel, but the internet quickly became more interested in trying to read it. Her distinctive cursive proved so difficult to decipher that people began sharing their guesses about what the note actually said, turning a simple message into an unexpected online puzzle. Some words were easier to make out than others, but the handwriting became the main attraction, with fans collectively trying to decode the entire note. What started as a thoughtful gesture from Jolie ended up becoming a viral guessing game over her handwriting."
Many commenters tried to transcribe the letter, which appears to have first been shared back in October, 2023. One commenter immediately notes how difficult it might be for Gen Z to read it. She first shares her take on what the note says. "'Thank you for a restful stay at your beautiful resort. The 'Maria' crew had a lovely time here. With love, Angelina Jolie' — With some context and if you know cursive, you can make most of it out. I don't think any GenZ's would know what this said."
Others suggested it was some kind of medical professional "script." This Instagrammer explains, in part, " This is NOT script. It's just her sloppy 'style' of writing. Yes. I'm a nurse."
