The Dallas Cowboys enter the 2026 NFL season as one of the league's most interesting teams. They failed to even make the playoffs last season, but after a great offseason, many have the belief that the team can end their 30-year drought to win the Super Bowl this season.
Last season, the Cowboys' offence was exciting and forced many to believe it was among the best in the league.
This was due to Dak Prescott, George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb leading the way on the offense. However, their defence was equally bad, conceding 30.1 points per game.
Owner Jerry Jones promised to revamp the defence, and as part of that, the likes of Quinnen Williams, Rashan Gary, and Von Miller were brought to the team. They also drafted Ohio State player Caleb Downs, and with these additions, many believed the Cowboys could be contenders.
However, Skip Bayless is not one of them, and he has his reason as to why.

It's official: Skip Bayless is going back to ESPN, where he will join Stephen A. Smith to make recurring appearances on First Take beginning this month.
Smith made the announcement Friday afternoon while Bayless was joining him on his SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio show. The duo announced Bayless will join Smith every Friday on SiriusXM, and the last Friday of every month on First Take.
"Let me alert the public to what's going on," Smith began. "On Fridays, yours truly and the one and only Skip Bayless will be joining me on this show. So, let's get that out the way. That's every Friday, the beatdown is coming, my condolences to you. But the other part that everybody needs to know, starting next week, the last Friday of every single month, Skip Bayless will join yours truly on First Take. You are back, my brother."

Sep. 4—COULEE CITY — Last season, the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors (15-3) achieved their goals of reaching the state tournament and competing at the highest level. This season they look to build on that.
"We have a ton of talent this year," Head Coach Katie Walsh said. "(We're) coming in with the mindset that we have the toughest district in the state, and we have to show up and compete every day and practice at our highest levels if we want to get to our goals — and that's definitely the state tournament and placing."
The Warriors made a deep run to the semifinals of the 1B state volleyball tournament before falling to Garfield-Palouse 3-0.
The Warriors roster five seniors once again this season. Walsh highlighted Dani Isaak, Grace Okamoto and Josie Bayless as three standout players that will fulfill key roles for ACH this season.
Isaak was a captain for ACH last season, Walsh said. She anticipates the returning senior to grow more as a leader as she brings a calm presence to the court and helps instill Walsh's vision for the upcoming season. Today in Boston Celtics history, Jerryd Bayless was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1988. He played his NCAA basketball for the Arizona Wildcats for a single season before entering the 2008 NBA Draft, where the Indiana Pacers selected him with the 11th overall pick.

The "Worldwide Leader in Sports" has consistently reshaped its talent roster, programming philosophy and distribution strategy to attract each new generation of sports fans. The network's next evolution could involve moving away from its long-standing "embrace debate" philosophy on studio programming. If that's the case, what does it mean for First Take, a show built on spirited arguments and larger-than-life personalities?
Let's start at the beginning.
It's well documented why ESPN embraced debate-driven programming in the first place. Brooks and James have shared a fierce rivalry in the past few years, which is why Bayless was surprised to learn that Brooks actually asked James' agent, Rich Paul, for courtside tickets to watch the said contest.
"I just lost respect for Dillon Brooks, who admits he got his courtside seat at the Laker playoff game from Rich Paul," Bayless posted on X. "Come on, don't sell out to LeBron.
