In XRP news today, its 30-day liquidity index on Binance has climbed to 0.0675, the highest reading in about six months. Its 30-day turnover recovered to approximately $4.6 billion after sinking to between $2 billion and $3 billion during July and August.
The rebound signals that XRP liquidity conditions have meaningfully improved, but a deeper order book supports both accumulation and distribution equally well, and is leaving the question of which side actually controls this market unanswered.
The liquidity index measures how easily traders can move XRP in and out of positions without moving the price against themselves, calculated against how quickly XRP turns over relative to what Binance holds on its books. A rising reading means faster turnover and tighter execution, which is exactly what the data shows.
XRP closed August up about 28.5%, its strongest August performance since 2021, while U.S. spot XRP ETF products pulled in $153.55 million of inflows that month.
Now, the flow data from the end of last week complicates a clean bullish read. More than 91 million XRP moved into Binance on the 11th, and over 113 million XRP moved out, both six-month highs in single-day volume. The 2026 home campaign for the Salt Lake Bees (24-44/63-79) came to a close this week as they welcomed the Round Rock Express (Triple-A, Texas Rangers). Known as the "E-Train," the Lone Star side steamrolled their way to a dominant series victory, winning five of six. Outside of a 11-1 thrashing on Thursday, the Bees never held a lead in the other five contests. The Express (38-31/69-75) collected their first road series win in Salt Lake since 2021, when they swept the Bees in a six-game set.
Despite a quality start from Bees starter Ryan Costeiu, Round Rock earned a 5-1 series opening victory on Tuesday. The visitors scored in four different frames, while Niko Kavadas helped Salt Lake avoid a shutout with a fifth-inning solo blast. Wednesday was more of the same, as the Express tallied a 6-1 victory. Matt LaFleur spent his entire offseason promising Green Bay Packers would finally learn how to finish games. Sunday in Minneapolis put that promise to the test immediately. The Packers built a healthy second-half lead, the same type of cushion that slipped away repeatedly last season, and it vanished again. What happened next, both on the field and in the press conference that followed, left fans furious.

The Vikings trailed 22-10 before scoring 29 unanswered points in a 39-22 victory. LaFleur is getting torched by the fan base because second-half collapses have become a trend since last December, and the officials are taking heat after calling 13 penalties on the Packers and only three on the Vikings.

Well, that was fun until it wasn't.

The result? The Texas Longhorns scored 21 unanswered points to enjoy what they will no doubt consider an epic comeback. Buckeye fans will think the opposite, and for good reason. A game profile that should never go in the loss column did just that because of some curious decisions and gameplay in the second half.
After each game, we like to look back and see what kind of lessons we might have learned about Ohio State, and things tend to be a little more negative after a loss, but that's life in the big city.

Florida football notched its second blowout victory of the season on Saturday evening, throttling the Campbell Fighting Camels, 52-3, inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
While the visitors struck first blood in this one, the FCS school never really had a chance against the Gators. Jon Sumrall's squad went on to score 52 unanswered points en route to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2021.
Aaron Philo finished by mirroring his efforts from last week with a 16-for-21 performance through the air — good for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns — while Jadan Baugh rushed 14 times for 134 yards and a pair of scores. Vernell Brown III was spectacular, logging 219 yards and a pair of scores on four returns, and added three catches for 43 yards and a TD as well.

MCALESTER — McAlester scored two touchdowns in the final seven minutes, including the game-winner with 3:02 remaining, to rally past Ada 47-40 in a wild finish to the annual rivalry game Friday night.
The Cougars, who piled up well over 500 yards of total offense, scored with 8:23 left to take a 40-33 lead. But the Buffaloes answered with a 54-yard touchdown pass at the 7:32 mark to knot the score at 40-40.
McAlester then marched 75 yards in six plays for the winning touchdown.
Ada will enter district play at 0-3, while the Buffaloes improved to 1-2.
It was the third-highest scoring game in the long series between the two rivals.

The results are in for the first SB Nation Reacts polls of the regular season for our Minnesota Vikings, so let's take a look at how everyone is feeling on the eve of the new campaign.
We had two questions for you this week, with the first one being the question that we'll be asking every week this season going forward: How confident are you that the Vikings are moving in the right direction? While the number is above the 50% mark, it isn't quite as high as we've seen it at the start of seasons in the recent past.
Of those who responded to our poll, 60% feel that the team is, in fact, moving in the right direction. As we've generally stated, this can mean different things to different people, but there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered about our favorite squad as we head into the season opener. Hopefully we'll get some positive answers to those questions on Sunday afternoon against the hated Green Bay Packers.
Speaking of that matchup, our other question for this week was how you think the purple will fare in their first game of the season. Our readers feel, overwhelmingly, that our team will come out with a victory, though the margin seems to be up for some debate.
Of those who responded to our poll for this week, 48% believe that the Vikings will emerge victorious by a touchdown or less, while another 34% believe that they'll win by an even greater margin. To help us preview this matchup, Glenn Erby, the managing editor of Ravens Wire, answered a handful of our questions to provide some insights into this Baltimore team.
Ravens Wire: Minter has been organized, direct, and consistent since taking over. He brings energy without manufacturing it, and players have responded to his detailed but collaborative approach. Every sport has its unwritten rules, and one of the most universal is simple: Don't give your opponent "bulletin-board material." Don't say something that can be printed out, slapped on a wall, and pointed to by a coach looking for a little extra motivation. Don't give the other team a reason to make the game personal.
In the end, almost anything can be twisted into locker-room material in one way or another. When Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Zyon McCollum was asked how he felt about playing against one of the most talented offenses in the league in Week 1, he had plenty of ways he could have answered.
And he made a decision.
"We're going to have opportunities, guaranteed opportunities," he said when asked about his Week 1 opponents. "I mean, they want to get their season started off right. The Oregon Ducks' defense hasn't received much kudos this week after allowing the Boise State Broncos to score 27 points on them in Week 1, including multiple 70-plus yard scoring drives. While the standard wasn't met as a collective with blue-chippers lining every position, defensive tackle Bear Alexander's performance was a different story.
Facing an underrated Broncos rushing attack headed by Dylan Riley (1,125 yards, 10 touchdowns in 2025) and Sire Gaines (811 yards, eight touchdowns), the Ducks were going to be tested up front to begin the season. And, especially in the second half, there were moments where the Boise State run game was successful in churning out positive gains. But by game's end, they'd ran for just 93 yards on 26 carries, good for just 2.6 yards per pop.
Alexander answered the call, totaling eight tackles including a sack of quarterback Maddux Madsen. There were moments of the second-year Oregon starter simply discarding Boise State's center and guards before swallowing up Riley or Gaines near the line of scrimmage.

This weekend marks a solemn anniversary in our nation's history. 25 years ago on September 11, 2001, the United States was attacked by terrorists that hijacked commercial airlines and flew them into both towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. On Saturday, both the Texas Longhorns and Ohio State Buckeyes will honor that tragedy on their helmets.
It has been called this generation's Pearl Harbor. 9/11 is a day that everyone remembers exactly what they were doing when they found out America had been attacked. 2,977 died as a result of the terrorist attacks. The horrific memories are vivid even now. Every year, there are remembrances on the anniversary. But this year is different. 25 years is a grim milestone of morning that changed the world forever.

Sean McVay has taken responsibility for the Los Angeles Rams' 27-7 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers, admitting the loss was a humbling experience for his team.
The Rams led 7-3 early in the second quarter after Kyren Williams scored a five-yard rushing touchdown. However, San Francisco responded with 24 unanswered points to secure a convincing victory in Melbourne.
Brock Purdy threw three touchdown passes as the 49ers pulled away after half-time. Matthew Stafford completed 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards and an interception before Stetson Bennett replaced him late in the fourth quarter.

The San Francisco 49ers opened their 2026 regular season with an emphatic win over the NFC West-rival Los Angeles Rams by a 27-7 final score.
The Niners effectively silenced doubters through Week 1, with a dominant performance that will undoubtedly reposition some stances taken with San Francisco and just how good it can be.
The defense allowed just one score and the offense scored 24 unanswered points after going down 7-3 early in the second quarter. Quarterback Brock Purdy completed 25 of 34 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns.
"I mean, at the end of the day, it comes down to playing our style of ball, doing what coaches coach us up to do, and running our plays," Purdy said in a postgame interview with Netflix. "Obviously, you got to respect the other guys on the other side, and we know what they can do. But at the end of the day, man, it comes down to executing, protecting the ball, moving the ball, getting points on (the) board, keeping it simple."

WATERBURY - High school football's double-wing offense is affectionately known by smashmouth running game enthusiasts as the "hammer."
Naugatuck was down 14 points in its season opener against Holy Cross on Thursday night at Municipal Stadium's Ray Snyder Sr. Field, but that changed once the visitors went to the hammer offense.
The Greyhounds scored three unanswered touchdowns, the last two runs of 15 and 4 yards by Brandon Andoh behind a monster offensive line, to stun the Crusaders 27-20.
Andoh's 4-yard score with 33.4 seconds left in the game and Gabriel Bello's third extra point in four attempts gave Naugatuck a 7-point lead, its first of the game.
The Greyhounds' defense made sure a last-ditch Hail Mary pass from Crusaders quarterback Brady Lombardo came up short of the end zone. That set off a massive celebration by Naugatuck and its student section.
