Neymar Jr. has found a playmate who isn't shy about posing, and it is none other than his toddler daughter. The Brazilian footballer marked his little girl Mavie's birthday with a set of photos, and the little one clearly joined in the fun. There are pouts, wide eyes, and smiles all around as the father-daughter pair have fun. A heartfelt message came with the pictures, and it shows what being a girl dad means to the star footballer.
Neymar Jr. posted the carousel on Instagram to mark his daughter Mavie's third birthday on 6 October. The first image is a sweet portrait where the toddler crawls on a wooden floor and beams at the camera. She wears a simple black top with white stripes and jeans.
Things get livelier in the second photo. Father and daughter pose in front of an arched mirror at a pink dressing table. Mavie, her hair falling in soft curls, holds a makeup brush while her father takes the mirror selfie. The last two pictures are adorably comic. Mavie and Neymar are in frame in pink and black T-shirts, respectively. In one shot, she and her dad pout in unison, and in the next, both stare wide-eyed with their mouths open, making funny faces together.
The caption was written in Portuguese, and a translation shows how personal it is for the 34-year-old footballer. Neymar credits Mavie for helping him become a better father, not only to her but to her brothers and sisters. He adds that he always wanted a daughter and knew he would love the experience. He goes on to note that her smile, especially in her eyes, brightens his day. Neymar finishes his tribute to his daughter by promising to be her safe haven every day.
Mavie is one of Neymar Jr.'s four children. He has a son, Davi Lucca, with Carolina Dantas, while Mavie and Mel are his daughters with Bruna Biancardi. He also shares his daughter Helena with Amanda Kimberlly. In June, Neymar and Biancardi announced that they were expecting their third daughter together and Neymar's fifth child. The baby, whom they plan to name Mariah, will join Mavie and Mel.

In her latest Instagram montage, pregnant Ciara treats maternity wear as a fashion playground, moving from slouchy streetwear to sheer black lace in under 20 seconds. Throughout the video, Ciara keeps her baby **** p front and center, and the pregnant styling never feels like an afterthought. Some of her looks drape the **** p in oversized layers, while others put it fully on display.
Ciara owns maternity fashion, and she showcases it with confidence on her social media. The clip plays over "Yes (ATL)", Ciara's single with Young Dro. Her caption reads, "Baby, you a Boss not a Wannabe."
The montage opens with a relaxed look. Ciara wears a black sleeveless zip-up vest over loose black shorts with white side stripes, while chunky black boots and dark sunglasses complete the outfit.
Next comes a sleeker option. Ciara, visibly pregnant here, wears a soft grey maxi dress that traces her baby **** p before flaring outwards at the hem. A faded denim jacket rests on her shoulders, and a chunky chain-link necklace adds edge to the outfit. She also wears a pair of sunglasses and cradles her **** p.
A heavily pregnant Ciara then shows that maternity fashion can lean into grunge as easily as glamor. Her third look is tailored and understated. The 40-year-old poses in a stone courtyard, wearing a black **** on-up shirt, a black miniskirt, and dark loafers.

Prosper Stars & Stripes, a long/short equity fund, recently released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. In Q2 2026, the portfolio delivered a strong net return of +30.1% compared to the Russell 2000 Index's +21.5% return and the HFRX Equity Hedge Index's +10.3% return. The long book drove performance, generating a 43.2% gross contribution, while average net exposure remained relatively modest at 47%. U.S. economic growth remained resilient despite inflation concerns, elevated energy prices, and geopolitical uncertainty. Markets rallied sharply after easing U.S.-Iran tensions pushed oil prices lower, supporting renewed risk appetite. Small-cap equities benefited significantly, with Information Technology, Industrials, and Health Care leading gains, while Energy declined as crude prices fell. Year to date, the Composite returned +23.7%, slightly ahead of the Russell 2000's +22.6% and well above the HFRI Equity Hedge Index's +9.7%. Additionally, you can review the Portfolio's top 5 holdings to see its best picks for 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Prosper Stars & Stripes highlighted Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ:OLED). Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ:OLED) is an American technology company that develops and commercializes organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technologies and materials for use in display and solid-state lighting applications. On September 14, 2026, Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ:OLED) closed at $76.62 per share. Prosper Stars & Stripes stated the following regarding Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ:OLED) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"This year's market rally has pressured short returns and narrowed the windows to successfully monetize shorts, as we would expect. Certain themes and short ideas do continue to resonate, however. One theme that has had success is the ongoing pressure caused by the investment boom in AI crowding out spending in other areas. We have shorted Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ:OLED), Dolby Laboratories (DLB), and Logitech International (LOGI) on this theme. We believe cost pressures on technology components such as DRAM to result in higher prices for consumer electronics. This would have a significant impact on back-to-school and holiday spending, the key periods for these companies' end markets. We expect the forecasts that these companies are providing at this time of the year to prove optimistic, as tech cost inflation is unusual. In Q2 2026, the portfolio delivered a strong net return of +30.1% compared to the Russell 2000 Index's +21.5% return and the HFRX Equity Hedge Index's +10.3% return.

In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Prosper Stars & Stripes highlighted TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTGT) as the largest contributor to the portfolio's short book. TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTGT) provides sales and support of purchase intent-driven advertising campaigns. On September 9, 2026, TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTGT) closed at $3.89 per share. Over the past month, TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTGT) returned 1.57% and its shares lost 35.17% over the past 52 weeks. TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTGT) has a market capitalization of $281.37 million, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $3.37 to $7.15.
Prosper Stars & Stripes stated the following regarding TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTGT) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTGT) was the largest contributor to our short book during the quarter. The company monetizes the purchase research behavior of enterprise IT buyers by operating a network of websites where buyers register to consume technical content, then selling those intent signals as leads to IT vendors. We first shorted the company after it completed a value-destroying acquisition in December 2024 that led to significant impairment charges in Q1 2025 and again in Q1 2026. We believe AI is likely to dismantle search-based discovery and commoditize content, the two pillars of TechTarget's value propositions. Results have validated our concerns, with management describing its market as mature, with 2% to 3% top-line growth, and EBITDA margins that peaked in 2022 falling to 7% in Q1 2026. Notably, revenue growth began deteriorating before ChatGPT launched in November 2022, suggesting that problems run deeper than AI alone. We continue to believe generative AI will weigh on TechTarget's prospects and remain short the company."

Prosper Stars & Stripes stated the following regarding Ambiq Micro, Inc. (NYSE:AMBQ) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Ambiq Micro, Inc. (NYSE:AMBQ) was the second-best contributor to our long book during the quarter. Ambiq is a fabless semiconductor company that designs ultra-low power systems-on-chip (SoCs) for edge AI applications. The company's proprietary design approach delivers two to five times lower power consumption than competing solutions, a decisive advantage in battery-constrained devices like wearables, where customers include Garmin, Google, and Huawei. In semiconductors, we look for companies levered to two enduring themes: lower power consumption and miniaturization. In January, the company raised equity, signaling a step-change in revenue growth. After posting 2% year-over-year revenue growth in Q4 2025, the company reported 59% growth in Q1 2026 and guided for 75% growth for Q2. We ascribed a high single digit multiple of sales to the shares, but as the price met our bullish targets, like many stocks in this part of the market, we exited our position."

On the home kit, Footy Headlines report that ***** nal are set to wear a pinstriped design in the usual red and white, with the kit also utilising navy details.
There's also speculation that the Adidas stripes on the shoulders will be in navy blue, although that detail hasn't been confirmed. Previous reports had also revealed that the front-of-shirt sponsorship logo will just read 'Emirates', rather than 'Fly Emirates' or 'Emirates – Fly Better'.

The women's side of the US Open nearly had an all-American final, with the semifinals featuring Aryna Sabalenka vs. American Jessica Pegula and Elena Rybakina vs. American Coco Gauff. Unfortunately for the Stars and Stripes, when Thursday night ended, neither Pegula nor Gauff had advanced, with Pegula losing in straight sets and Gauff falling in three.
One of the attendees in Arthur Ashe Stadium on Thursday night was former First Lady Michelle Obama. As dissapointing as Thursday's results may have been for the former White House resident, Obama still sent a message of support at the conclusion of the matches.
"Big hugs to CocoGauff!!! She's a joy to watch. Always proud. Go USA Tennis!!" Obama posted on X.
As positive as Obama's message was, many fans on social media took exception to Obama not also addressing Pegula's performance, and questioned if there were racial motivations behind Obama's decision.
"Why do you only show up & root for black athletes?!? Racist much?" one fan posted on X.

In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Prosper Stars & Stripes highlighted Cable One, Inc. (NYSE:CABO). Cable One, Inc. (NYSE:CABO) is a US-based data, video, and voice services provider. On September 8, 2026, Cable One, Inc. (NYSE:CABO) closed at $23.03 per share. Over the past month, Cable One, Inc. (NYSE:CABO) declined 31.48%, and its shares lost 85.49% over the past 52 weeks. Cable One, Inc. (NYSE:CABO) has a market capitalization of $144.51 million, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $21.98 and $180.74.
Prosper Stars & Stripes stated the following regarding Cable One, Inc. (NYSE:CABO) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Cable One, Inc. (NYSE:CABO) was the second largest contributor to our short book during the quarter. Cable One provides cable broadband in rural markets, where it once enjoyed pricing power and high barriers to entry. But industries are dynamic and new competition has changed the company's position. Our process kept Cable One on our focus list through that transformation and allowed us to revisit it repeatedly; we have shorted the stock five times over the last four years. Increasing competition is an excellent short driver, and Cable One faced pressure from multiple directions at once, including fiber overbuilders, fixed wireless, and satellite internet. Broadband is a commodity, so when lower-priced alternatives entered its markets, Cable One had no meaningful way to differentiate and began losing share. In Q1 2026, the company reported a 7% revenue decline and an earnings decline of approximately 33%. Management compounded the damage by recognizing the shift late and allocating capital to **** et purchases at peak multiples. The combination of leverage, subscriber losses, and falling prices have pressured margins and now threatens the company's terminal value. We covered our position during the quarter."

Ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season, the Warriors have revealed some new threads. Golden State is one of eight teams to receive new "Specter" jerseys from Nike. The Warriors' edition is prominently black with blue stripes on the right side and yellow number outlines. The seven other teams to receive "Specter" jerseys are the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings. The "Specter" jersey was meant as a way to celebrate some of the league's oldest NBA teams.
Since the release, fans have had mixed reviews on the new uniforms, but most overall comments have been negative. When the Warriors will debut these jerseys has not yet been revealed. In the meantime, Golden State will begin a six-game preseason run October 4 against the Los Angeles Clippers in Hawaii.

Why do baseball players put a black mark under their eyes? – Althea, age 9, Edmonton, Alberta
Bottom of the ninth. Two outs. Bases loaded. The winning run is standing on third base. The pitcher winds up and throws. The batter swings and sends a high fly ball into the air. The center fielder races back, looks up at the sky and then says the sentence no baseball fan wants to hear: "I lost it in the sun."
For baseball players, seeing the ball clearly can be the difference between making a game-winning catch and watching the winning run score. That is one reason many athletes put black marks under their eyes before a game.
Baseball, football and other outdoor athletes apply black stripes under their eyes because they hope it might reduce the glare from the sun or bright stadium lights. But the use of eye black comes down to tradition as much as it does science.

Byrd senior running back Christian Maxie set a pair of school records, and a city record, despite his Jackets falling 44-37 to defending LHSAA Non-Select Division I Ouachita Parish in Monroe on the opening night of Louisiana high school football.
Maxie, who continues moving closer to becoming the school's all-time rushing leader, rushed 40 times for 429 yards — both school records. The yards also set a Shreveport city record. The speedster scored three times and averaged 10.7 yards per carry in the contest.
Byrd (0-1) led for most of the first half behind the play of Maxie and quarterback Leo Ezernack, but the hosts built a 15-point fourth-quarter cushion and held on as Byrd scored with just over a minute remaining. The ensuing onside kick was reeled in by the Lions (1-0).
Calvary 48, Huntington 22: The Cavaliers (1-0) opened their 2026 campaign with a dominant win against Huntington (0-1) in the first game of the Stars and Stripes Border Classic, sponsored by the City of Shreveport. The event will conclude Friday with Parkway playing Dunham at 5 p.m. and Evangel testing West Monroe at 8 p.m. at Independence Stadium.

For the launch of the 2026/27 kits, Juventus and adidas have chosen to transform teasers, speculation and unofficial images into a fully-fledged narrative, turning the traditional logic of a reveal on its head.
This has given rise to a campaign structured as a collective investigation. The product is not simply unveiled, but gradually uncovered through clues, content and links designed to spark fans' curiosity and fuel online conversation.
Leaks, details appearing online and unexpected content thus become the pieces of a mystery to be solved. Episode by episode, the campaign engages fans, influencers and key figures from the Club in a story that blends sport, entertainment and digital language.
Evidence, documents, photographs, notes and links punctuate the journey, inviting the community to follow the trail, interpret the clues and play an active part in the investigation. Leading the investigation are Luciano Spalletti and Gianluca Gazzoli, the protagonists of a narrative that blends mystery, humour and entertainment. Through their eyes, fans are drawn into an ongoing case, following leads and piecing together the truth behind the leaks.
First, the American wrestler Je'Von Evans appeared in the WWE Raw ring in Detroit wearing the Away Kit. Next came Kenan Yildiz, who teased the release of the Third Kit on his social media channels – a kit that had already been spotted a few days earlier in Hong Kong and worn by some local content creators during the Bianconeri Stripes Party organised by adidas on 4 August. The final act then took place in Perth, at the Bianconeri's headquarters 'Casa Juventus', involving influencer Ben Black and Alessandro Del Piero, who reprimanded the British content creator for spoiling the Third Kit on his social media channels.

Emma Roberts looked effortlessly chic as she stepped out at the US Open on Saturday, just over a month after her intimate wedding to actor Cody John.
The 35-year-old actress, who is the niece of Hollywood superstar Julia Roberts, turned heads in a delicate slip dress as she attended the tennis tournament in New York.
Emma's midi-length dress featured a pretty white lace bodice dotted with black embellishments before falling into a silky cream skirt decorated with painterly stripes in blue, coral and black.
She leaned into the preppy courtside aesthetic by adding oversized tortoiseshell glasses and pointed two-tone heels, carrying a structured powder-blue handbag.

The stakes are high as one of the great rivalries in baseball is renewed tonight in the Bronx. The Yankees (75-58) and the Red Sox (73-60) are each making the playoffs. Neither is out of the division race but the more obvious race is for the top Wild Card spot. The Yankees currently hold the top spot with the Sox sitting two games behind. Boston trails the Bronx Bombers by just two games for that top Wild Card spot. The fact that there is any intrigue in that race is remarkable considering that on July 1 the Red Sox were 10 games UNDER .500 and the Yankees were 11 games OVER .500.
The Red Sox arrive in the Big Apple after winning two of three in Miami. The Red Sox opened the series with a 4-2 victory before grinding out a dramatic 7-3 win in 11 innings in Game 2. The Marlins avoided a sweep with a 4-0 shutout of the Sox on Wednesday. New York takes the field tonight after losing two of three to Houston. The Yankees' bats were alive in splitting the first two games but went silent in a 5-1 loss last night.
Patrick Sandoval (1-2, 4.54 ERA) gets the ball for Boston tonight. After allowing seven runs to the Pirates back on August 16, the veteran rebounded last Saturday against the Giants allowing two runs over five innings. Overall, the Red Sox have won six of his eight starts. The Yankees counter with Cam Schlittler (11-6, 2.16 ERA). The Cy Young favorite has been dominant nearly every time he has taken the mound this season. In his most recent start, Schlittler allowed but one run over six innings against the Blue Jays. Despite his consistently elite numbers, Schlittler has seen the Yankees lose four of his last five starts as the Pinstripes rarely offer him much in the form of run support.
This four-game series is certain to have a playoff atmosphere surrounding it as each side looks to further cement a playoff spot and continue to try to chase down the Rays in the AL East.
Lets dive into tonight's matchup and find a sweat or two.

Former first lady Michelle Obama is making a case for summer stripes with her latest Martha's Vineyard look.
Obama stepped out in a green-and-white striped Carolina Herrera halter dress during an appearance at the Martha's Vineyard Author Series, where she joined Michele Norris, MSNBC senior contributing editor and The Race Card Project founder, for a conversation about her book, "The Look."
The former first lady shared photos from the appearance on Instagram on Aug. 26, offering a closer look at the summery ensemble.
The sleeveless dress, designed by Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon as part of the fashion house's pre-fall 2026 collection, featured a plunging halter neckline, fitted ruched bodice and full midi-length skirt. Vertical stripes ran down much of the dress before shifting direction along the hem.
Obama opted to wear the dress without the contrasting belt featured in the collection's original styling. She completed the look with strappy Jimmy Choo sandals, earrings and rings. The former first lady wore her braids pulled into a high ponytail, with several pieces framing her face.

Brittany Mahomes is showing off her sporty side and plenty of leg in a new Adidas look. The 30-year-old fitness enthusiast modeled a series of Adidas Training outfits in a new Instagram video, kicking things off in a pair of seriously tiny black athletic shorts that rode high on her thighs.
Mahomes paired the micro shorts with a matching black sports bra featuring Adidas' signature white three stripes along the sides. The fitted top stopped above her waist, putting her toned midriff on display as she posed inside a sleek gym.
She completed the athletic ensemble with white crew socks, gray Adidas sneakers, and oversized black sunglasses. Along with this, she wore her long blonde hair straight down her back.
The mom of three strutted and posed for the camera as the reel transitioned between several different Adidas outfits. "Unfortunately you do need all of it," Mahomes joked in the caption, tagging Adidas Training and adding the hashtag "OriginalsSport". The black micro shorts weren't her only leggy look.
Mahomes changed into a maroon matching set consisting of a cropped short-sleeve top and a flirty pair of loose-fitting athletic skorts. White Adidas stripes ran along both pieces, while coordinating white-and-maroon sneakers finished the look.

It was a tumultuous weekend for the Yankees. Cody Bellinger returned Sunday, providing a much-needed jolt to a lineup that's been anemic in his and Aaron Judge's absences. But Giancarlo Stanton suffered a setback that could end his season (and, with it, perhaps his tenure in pinstripes). And Ryan Weathers, who had posted a 2.27 ERA in seven starts since the All-Star break, landed on the shelf with a forearm strain.
Amid the injury news, the Yankees quietly went on a heater, winning six of their last seven while taking series against two AL East foes, Baltimore and Toronto. This week, they'll be hosting the Astros, a team that just fired GM Dana Brown after dropping six of their last eight despite still tying for first place in a tight AL West. Let's take a look at the likely starting pitching matchups for this midweek set.
Tuesday: Will Warren vs. Ethan Pecko (7:05 pm ET)
Just over a week ago, it looked like Will Warren was about to lose his rotation spot, bouncing either to the bullpen or the minors upon Carlos Rodón's return. Now, with Max Fried and Weathers on the IL, he's the Yankees' No. 4 starter. After a strong start to the year he's struggled, going 1-1 with a 6.08 ERA since the All-Star break and turning in just one quality start since the end of May. Last time out, he needed 90 pitches to get through four innings of work in Baltimore, allowing six baserunners and two runs.
He's lined up to face Ethan Pecko. The right-hander will be pitching on his 24th birthday, six days after making his MLB debut against the Angels in which he allowed two runs in 3.2 innings. He featured a four-seamer and a sinker in that start, mixing in four complementary pitches. Pecko was 4-6 with a 4.94 ERA in 17 outings (15 starts) at Triple-A before getting the call.
