Manchester United continue their pre-season tour of Scandinavia with a visit to Gothenburg, where they'll face reigning Champions League holders PSG.
Michael Carrick's side opened their tour with defeat to Wrexham but have responded with two wins on the bounce, including a promising 2-1 comeback victory over Atletico Madrid in Stockholm last time out, which saw Bryan Mbeumo bag a brace.
LIVE! Follow all the action from Man United v PSG
PSG represent another step up in quality, although several of their star-studded squad will still be recovering after their exploits for France at this summer's World Cup, and the French giants - still missing many of those top names - suffered a 3-0 defeat to Mallorca in the first of their pre-season friendlies.
This game against United's is PSG's second and last friendly of the summer, so it should be a more competitive affair.

Manchester United and PSG meet in a pre-season friendly on Saturday at the Ullevi Stadium.
Manchester United arrive with promising pre-season form under Michael Carrick. After a narrow 1-0 loss to Wrexham in their opening friendly, the Red Devils responded emphatically. They thrashed Rosenborg 5-0 and then claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in Stockholm. Carrick's team have shown attacking fluency and are gaining momentum as several senior internationals return to the squad.
Carrick welcomes back several senior internationals following their World Cup breaks.
New signing Youri Tielemans is expected to make his first official appearance for United, while skipper Bruno Fernandes and full-backs Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui have travelled and could play.
Bryan Mbeumo is likely to lead the attack after scoring twice in the 2-1 win against Atletico. But the squad also has significant absences. Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez remain unavailable because of required post-World Cup rest.

Holger Rune is amping up his training intensity as he plans an imminent tennis return in Cincinnati.
Fans last saw Rune in the ATP 250 Stockholm Open last October when he ruptured his left Achilles tendon.
Rune has allowed fans to watch his recovery in real time on social media over the past 10 months. His latest video shows him at full speed and intensity. However, that's not what fans immediately noticed. They noticed his top which looks like a sports bra.
MORE: Victoria Azarenka posts introspective birthday message with no mention of a tennis return
There has to be a good reason why male athletes wear these tops because Rune is not the only one who has worn one.

Manchester United face Atletico Madrid at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm on Saturday afternoon in their third pre-season fixture of the summer.
Michael Carrick has resisted the temptation to rotate heavily between friendlies, preferring to give first-team players sustained minutes as the new season approaches. Saturday's match against Atletico represents by far the sternest test of United's preparations and an important benchmark for where the squad stands heading into August.
A long list of World Cup participants remain unavailable. Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martínez, Kobbie Mainoo, Matheus Cunha, Noussair Mazraoui and Marcus Rashford are all on extended post-tournament breaks and have not yet returned to Carrington.
Youri Tielemans completed his first training session at the club this week after arriving from Aston Villa in a £35m deal — but has been left out of the travelling squad for Stockholm. His debut will come in the coming days. Goalkeeper Senne Lammens is also not in the squad.
Benjamin Sesko is a major doubt with a shin injury that the club are carefully monitoring. Manuel Ugarte and Matthijs de Ligt are both sidelined with their own injury concerns and unavailable for selection. Amad Diallo has returned from his World Cup commitments with Ivory Coast and could feature in the squad.

STOCKHOLM, July 23 (Reuters) - After championing huge policy shifts in Sweden by propping up a minority centre-right government for four years, the far-right Sweden Democrats say they have won the political arguments and now deserve a share of power for themselves.
But it is a demand that could prove a step too far for voters in an election in September, and potentially ‌bring down Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. The prime minister, who once told a Holocaust survivor he would never cooperate with the Sweden Democrats, now says he has lifted those "red lines".
Sweden, the stalwart of European ‌socialism for generations, has undergone a startling rightward shift in policy and public opinion in recent years, especially over immigration in a country where one person in five was born abroad.
The number of asylum seekers last year was down 97% from the peak a decade ago. One of Europe's most welcoming immigration systems has become one of its most stringent: newcomers face employment restrictions, language and culture tests, and reduced welfare payouts. Immigrants who break the law can be swiftly expelled, and others are offered payments to leave voluntarily.

Olympique Lyonnais are reportedly interested in Derby County's Jacob Widell Zetterström (28), according to information from Foot Mercato.
Having joined the Rams from Djurgårdens IF in the summer of 2024, the Stockholm-born player has established himself as the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper.
Making 42 appearances as first-choice goalkeeper (nine clean sheets, 51 goals conceded) during his first season in England, Widell Zetterström started a further 33 times (seven clean sheets, 47 goals conceded) throughout the 2025-26 campaign, in which he was forced to sit out for several weeks.
With a contract running with Derby County until 2027, the Swede – who started against France in the round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup (3-0) – is, however, reportedly being viewed by Lyon as an option should Dominik Greif (29) or Rémy Descamps (30) leave this summer. A possibility which, for the time being, is not on the agenda. But Widell Zetterström's profile is appealing.

Jennifer Garner has developed a "Stockholm syndrome thing" with the paparazzo who has followed her for the past two decades.
During the latest episode of the Shut Up Evan podcast, host Evan Ross Katz asked the 13 Going on 30 actress whether tabloid photographers have left her alone since she started campaigning for tougher anti-paparazzi laws designed to protect the children of celebrities.
Garner and Halle Berry testified before the California **** embly Judiciary Committee in August 2013, with the bill passed later that year.
In response, the Alias star shared that she has two photographers that follow her most days, with one "main guy" that she's grown to have an "odd respect" for.
"Like, there's kind of a Stockholm syndrome thing," she said. "And at the same time, I've called the cops on him a million times and been like, 'Can you please just give me a walk around the block with my kids and my dog?'"
Stockholm syndrome refers to when a kidnapped person forms a psychological connection with their captor and starts to sympathise with them.

Jennifer Garner got refreshingly candid about her decades in the public eye, reflecting on her relationship with the paparazzi at the height of her marriage with ex Ben Affleck and the "Stockholm syndrome thing" she has with one longstanding photographer.
"It was totally ludicrous," Garner told Evan Ross Katz on Netflix's "Shut Up Evan!" podcast Tuesday. The actress and producer, who sat with the talk series in promotion of Peacock's "The Five Star Weekend," admitted that she knows complaining about fame is a privileged problem to have — "It felt like poor little me, you know, my poor little kids who have everything in the world." But she emphasized that some situations saw the paparazzi being "a danger to everyone around us."
"If I went through a yellow light, 15 cars would go through the red behind me. They would drive up onto people's lawns, even on a hillside," she recounted. Garner was even asked to remove their children from the local kids' soccer league because too many photographers would follow her and her family to the games.
"It wasn't just about us; it was just an industry that had gotten out of control," Garner said.
"So, as much as I recognize that, you know, we are privileged and lucky and grateful for all that that has afforded us and all that that's made available, at the same time, it just got silly, and kids were at the center of it," she continued. "I mean, I lived on the street with a lot of much more famous and successful people than I, but they followed me because I had the kids. They wouldn't follow Ben. They wouldn't follow Matt Damon. They wouldn't. They were like, 'There's the chick with the kids.' That's when you know it's just it's not right."

Hello from somewhere north of Stockholm where I've been jumping into my texts and emails the past day during connecting trains and such to configure some final fine tuning for Mock Draft 2.0 from The Sporting Tribune, roughly 24 hours before the first selection.
Time to write hasn't come at a luxury, so sorry for the month-plus gap between Mock 1.0 and Mock 2.0, and that it comes just a day ahead of the draft itself.
While some of the waters have cleared, it's still pretty muddy at the top and throughout the first round.
Most players who will have their name called in the first 50-100 picks have already had their parties express their bonus demands, and the real wheeling and dealing started right after the MLB Draft Combine where most (not all, or close to it) turned in their medicals and there has been some financial maneuvering on all fronts to turn the draft into a more "open market" to some degree.
Add in finances with peak data, performance across all forms of amateur ball, age relevance, development windows, makeup, variance and private workout data; and suddenly, everyone has an internal model to lean on. While you can never say it's an end all item, models have taken over the draft heavier than in-house opinions which means some players have made serious leaps and bounds no matter what the previous feeling or connection was from club-player-agent.

Former world number four Rune ruptured his Achilles tendon in October during a match against Frenchman Ugo Humbert in Stockholm and he said in a statement late Thursday he is not quite ready yet to return.

"Missing Wimbledon is not an easy decision, but the long-term goal remains unchanged: To return stronger and ready to compete at the highest level," Rune said late Thursday on Instagram.
"I am getting closer every day, and it is very satisfying to feel the progress.

STOCKHOLM, June 15 (Reuters) - Sweden's parliament passed a law on Monday allowing authorities to revoke immigrants' residency permits based ‌on bad behaviour, such as having unpaid debts, doing ‌undeclared work or links to extremist organisations.
The law, which covers pending permits but also retroactively already granted permits, is part of a wider tightening of immigration rules by the right-wing government and its support party, the nationalist Sweden Democrats, ahead of a parliamentary election in September.
The law ‌has been criticised by the opposition and human rights advocacy groups as arbitrary because decisions would be taken on behaviour that has not been deemed criminal.
"The good behaviour law leaves people in uncertainty about what actions or expressions can be used against them," Stockholm-based group Civil Rights Defenders said in a statement.
"It undermines the rule ‌of law and the principle of equality before the law."

Gaming is the mega-sector few talk about. With a global market value of $386 billion this year, it dwarfs the size of film and music combined. As many as 350,000 people work in the industry directly, according to market research firm Gitnux. As with all other parts of the business world, talk of artificial intelligence is intense and inconclusive.
Microsoft is one of the Big Daddies. Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Minecraft live within the Xbox gaming empire, catapulted to leading global status by the acquisition of Activision Blizzard for $69 billion in 2023. Tencent, from China, and Sony, from ******* an, vie with Microsoft for supremacy at the top of the gaming leaderboard.
With such a successful stable, Microsoft is keen that advertisers engage with gaming platforms, and it has set up a business division—Xbox Media Solutions—to drive profitable deals. The first game it lists on its "global portfolio of fan-favorite franchises" has nothing to do with battlefield simulations in future universes or worlds created by an endless supply of rubble, bricks, and tree trunks. The first game it highlights relies on people matching different types of sweets in a row and has a name that is part pro wrestling, part confectionery store: Candy Crush Saga.
Candy Crush was launched in 2012 with 65 "levels" of candy-matching to complete. Few would have predicted that, 14 years later, it would still be making $1 billion in annual revenue and have a fan base of over 150 million users playing it more than once a month, according to Business of Apps, which covers the sector. The number of levels now exceeds 20,000, and spinoff games include Soda Saga and Jelly Saga. Given its rabid fandom, the $5.9 billion Activision paid in 2016 for King, the company that launched the game, now looks like a steal.
What's next for a game so successful that when writer of catchy tunes Meghan Trainor wanted an exclusive launch platform for the video of her new single "Made You Look," she chose Candy Crush? For the answer to that, it is worth turning to Paula Ingvar, the game's general manager, based at the company's HQ in Stockholm. She does not lack ambition.

Brighton have once again moved with the confidence of a club that knows exactly what it wants. Their agreement to sign Yohanna Zadok from AIK Stockholm for £21.5m feels very much in keeping with a recruitment model that has become one of the most admired in European football.
The 18-year-old Nigerian winger is expected to join on a five-year contract, with the move set to be finalised when the summer transfer window opens on Monday, 15 June. For Brighton, this is another statement of intent. Not necessarily in the loud, chest-beating sense, more in the clever, calculated fashion that has defined their rise.
Yohanna arrives with a growing reputation, five goals and four **** ists in 18 appearances for AIK Stockholm since making his debut in August 2025. Those numbers matter, of course, especially for a teenager operating in senior football. What matters more is the profile. Brighton have identified a player with pace, flair and final-third imagination, qualities that can shift games when structure alone is not enough.
Fabian Hurzeler’s comments give a clear sense of why Brighton have acted now.
“I’m looking forward to working with Zadok,” said Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler. “Having seen his games and his attributes, he is a player that can impact games in the final third.
