Manchester City spent a Premier League record £458m in the summer transfer window to complete a rapid rebuild of the squad.
The midfield trio of Enzo Fernandez, Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi have been brought in to the tune of more than £300m, replacing the departed Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Tijjani Reijnders and Nico Gonzalez.
Iliman Ndiaye, Allan and Geronimo Rulli were the other first-team players brought in by the club during this transfer window.
But they have also managed to recoup over £300m by selling the likes of Savio and James Trafford.

A volatile bull market has encouraged investors to seek products capable of magnifying daily moves in some of the market's most popular and volatile stocks. The surge in speculative offerings has been substantial, with leveraged products accounting for as much as half of all new ETF launches in June alone.
However, ****** ysts are increasingly questioning whether the pace of expansion can continue as competition intensifies and ****** ets become concentrated among a relatively small number of successful funds.

No one seems to be shying away from the reality of the situation. Northmont enters 2026 having lost 17 consecutive games.
Head coach Ben Rulli and his players appear to be all-in on using it as motivation.
"We had a great offseason since December getting after it in the weight room, doing a lot of meetings throughout that time," he said. "I know these guys are working hard."
The Thunderbolts are ready for it to translate on the field. A young group took its lumps last fall and hopes to come out better from it.
So far the energy the team says they've seen from one another is the first step in the right direction.

Simpson behind closed doors. Joseph Perrulli, who dated Nicole in 1992 following her separation from O.J., is opening up about his relationship with Nicole in a new book, claiming he witnessed the lasting fear she lived with amid allegations of abuse involving O.J. Simpson.
Joseph Perrulli recently reflected on their relationship and claimed the former NFL star's alleged abuse was widely known throughout Hollywood. "I had people in the [movie] industry telling me about, you know, informing me about his abuse, so I knew," Perrulli told Page Six.
According to Perrulli, there was a sense that few people were willing or able to challenge Simpson at the height of his fame. "We were all powerless," he explained. "He was still a spokesperson for a very big company [Hertz], a rental car company, and he was still a sportscaster. So, you know, everybody was powerless, and it seemed like he could do what he wanted. And he did."
Perrulli claimed Nicole confided in him about the violence she allegedly experienced during her relationship with Simpson. According to the businessman, Nicole told him she feared for her safety after being beaten so severely by her ex-husband.
The pair began dating after Nicole's split from Simpson, whom she married in 1985 and with whom she had two children: daughter Sydney and son Justin. Although Nicole and O.J. divorced in 1992, their relationship remained complicated, and they later reconciled.
