The Baltimore Ravens received an encouraging injury update Thursday as wide receiver Zay Flowers returned to practice for the first time in two weeks.
Flowers had not practiced since Baltimore's joint workouts with the Minnesota Vikings on Aug. 20 because of an undisclosed injury. The Ravens have consistently described the issue as minor, but the team exercised caution with its top wide receiver through the end of the preseason and the first week of regular-season preparation.
Flowers did not practice Wednesday, although he was seen running the length of the field while working off to the side. His return one day later represents another positive step toward being available when Baltimore opens the regular season against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 13. The extent of Flowers' participation was not immediately known. Baltimore still has more than a week to increase his workload before issuing its first official injury report of the season.

Flowers is coming off the most productive season of his career. He recorded 86 catches for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns in 2025 before signing a four-year contract extension during training camp.
