Earlier in the 2025-26 season, Watson sat out six weeks because of a Grade 2 hamstring strain he suffered in February. Unfortunately for him, he did not get to play in the postseason because he re-aggravated it in early April.
Watson's agent, Rich Paul, of Klutch Sports, revealed on his Game Over podcast with Max Kellerman that he discouraged his client from rushing back. It was noted as a "business decision" ahead of his free agency. Now, Watson is enjoying his move to the Cleveland Cavaliers with a four-year $88 million contract.
Watson was one of the Nuggets' best players in the 2025-26 season, as he showcased that he plays impressive defense at the perimeter and in the paint. At the same time, he took an offensive leap, as he went from scoring 8.1 points a night in the 2024-25 season to a 14.6 points per game average in the following year.
His three-point shooting also took a massive leap, as he went from a 35.3% shooting split to shooting 41.1% from beyond the arc in the 2025-26 season. Between former draft picks and starters, here are five of the most notable Saints roster cuts who may have an opportunity elsewhere in the league rather than returning to the practice squad for 2026.
Means, a former fifth-round pick back in 2024 by the Saints, has been held back by injury in his two seasons with New Orleans, unfortunately. With wide receiver being a bit of a weak point around the league, especially in quality depth, Means could find a landing spot elsewhere and make his name known sooner rather than later.
Suggs, an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin, looked to really find some momentum in the third preseason game this year for New Orleans. He was able to take on multiple key double teams and, alongside Christen Miller, looked to be a gap-closing force on the interior. While the Saints' interior group is quite full at the moment, Suggs will likely receive some interest on the waiver wire in the coming hours to days.
In the first two games of the preseason this year, Bell did not get a whole lot of opportunities, picking up a single reception on four targets for 7 yards in two matchups. However, game three was a breakout one for him, posting 6 receptions for 65 yards on 7 targets, finding his footing in the offensive scheme and showing he could compete. VLCC rates hit $153,000 per day in the second quarter of 2026, while Suezmax and LR2/Aframax vessels earned $111,000 and $92,400 per day. That strength has carried into the third quarter, where Frontline has already booked 86% of VLCC days at $157,000 per day, 79% of Suezmax days at $117,000 per day, and 70% of LR2 days at $81,000 per day, evidence that rates are holding rather than sliding back. The fleet backing those numbers is young and efficient, averaging 6.6 years old, fully eco-designed, and 69% scrubber-fitted, which keeps cash breakeven costs between $22,200 and $25,700 per day, well under what the ships are currently earning.
That spread between cost and rate is throwing off real cash. Management estimated annual cash generation potential at $2.3 billion, or $10.35 per share, based on rates as of August 28, a 24% yield against the current share price. Florida State football commenced the 2026 season with a home opener at Doak S. Campbell Stadium against the New Mexico State Aggies on Saturday, Aug. 29., where the Seminoles defeated the Aggies 34-17 in a roller coaster of a performance.
FSU started the game on defense after losing the coin toss. Despite the Aggies gaining some ground early on, the defense held strong. The crowd erupted after senior defensive back Quindarrius Jones intercepted a throw in the end zone to put the 'Noles on offense.
Following the turnover, the Garnet and Gold, led by fifth year quarterback Ashton Daniels, engineered a strong drive that brought them into the red zone. However, after Daniels was sacked on third and goal, Florida State was forced to settle for a field goal from senior kicker Gabe Panikowski to take an early 3-0 lead.

The Pittsburgh Steelers may have found a trade partner for one of their quarterbacks, specifically Mason Rudolph or Will Howard, following an NFL roster update on cutdown day.
One day after trading away QB2 Quinn Ewers to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Miami Dolphins released QB3 Cam Miller as apart of final roster cuts, which should put them in the market for a backup quarterback and in the perfect position for a trade with Pittsburgh.

The San Diego Padres were able to build a 6-3 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays thanks to a three-run top of the seventh inning. The Rays responded with a four-run bottom of the seventh inning, which handed the Padres a 7-6 loss at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburgh on Saturday. The loss is critical to San Diego's push for the postseason, but even worse was the loss of Luis Rengifo who was injured and carted off the field in bottom of the seventh.
Bradgley Rodriguez started the seventh inning on the mound for the Padres with a 6-3 lead. San Diego appeared to have the recipe for a win in place. Rodriguez would work the seventh and pass the ball to Adrian Morejon in the eighth and eventually Mason Miller in the ninth if it was still a three-run game to secure a win. Rodriguez immediately got into trouble with a walk and back-to-back singles to load the bases. Yandy Diaz then lined a ball over the head of Jackson Merrill in centerfield that one-hopped the wall. Merrill threw the ball back to the infield where Rengifo took the ball at second base.
Tampa Bay had a runner caught between second and third and Rengifo ran toward him. At the same time, the runner on third base sprinted toward home and when Rengifo planted to stop his momentum and throw to the plate, he suffered what manager Craig Stammen said after the game was a knee sprain. The throw from Rengifo sailed past home plate and allowed the tying runs to score to tie the game at 6-6.
After a long injury delay and Rengifo being driven off the field while lying on his back on the cart, Stammen replaced Rodriguez with Adrian Morejon since there were no outs in the inning and the winning run on third base. Morejon induced a groundout for the first out of the inning and then allowed an intentional walk to setup the double play possibility. Morejon struck out Ryan Vilade for the second out of the inning but then allowed a single to Chandler Simpson which put the Rays ahead of the Padres, 7-6. The inning ended on a strikeout one batter later.
San Diego appeared deflated after the injury to Rengifo and surrendering the lead and went down in order in the top of the eighth. Manny Machado drew a one-out walk in the top of the ninth, but Ty France followed with a strikeout and Merrill grounded out to end the game.

Well, this is something to wake up to. According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, overnight Tottenham Hotspur and Everton reached an agreement to essentially swap attackers — bringing Ilman Ndiaye to Spurs, with Richarlison returning to Everton heading the other direction. This is NOT a true swap deal; these will be treated as separate transfers.
In yesterday's post-match press conference, Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi essentially told us that Richarlison asked to leave Spurs for a new challenge. I just didn't realize it would all go down so quickly. According to Paul Joyce of The Times, Ndiaye will cost Spurs about £60m, with Richarlison heading the other direction for a fee of £35m, making the outlay a lot lower than most transfers that Spurs have brought in this summer.
Ndiaye, 26, is a French fooballer who has declared for and plays international football for Senegal. He's been used primarily on the left wing for Everton, but can also play centrally or on the right. He's NOT a striker but could be implemented as a #10 if needed. Ndiaye likes to be on the ball and frequently prefers to take on and dribble past his defenders, which frequently turns into touches in the penalty area and shots. He likes to cut inside from the flank and is also comfortable receiving the ball deeper as a ball progression outlet. His acquisition means that Spurs will essentially only have three first team strikers on the books — Omar Marmoush, Dominic Solanke, and Dane Scarlett — but Ndiaye will fortify Spurs' attacking midfield options. His preferred position at Everton will put him in competition with Mathys Tel and Savinho, but his positional flexibility means he could be an ***** et elsewhere as well. He's also a willing presser and capable of putting in defensive work to make tackles. Despite maybe hinting otherwise yesterday, I'm kind of a fan of this deal.
As for Richarlison… well, I'm sad. He's probably my favorite Spurs player (non-Sonny edition) of this era. He's a vibes guy who always seemed to lift the mood, and it's clear he loved Spurs. But it's just as clear that he's not happy here anymore, and as his career starts to wind down a return to the club that lifted him to stardom feels like the closing of the circle. Everton fans love him as much as we do, and I can't begrudge them, or him, this move. It feels like the right choice.

He watched Ryan Preece, Chris Buescher, and Kyle Larson all crash in front of him early in the running, clearing the way for SVG to earn his first-ever oval stage win and secure ten points.

Here's what I would do: I think that you have to take a little bit off. But I have also, because of my daughter who had melanoma and fortunately beat it, done a huge amount of work on the vaccine, and I got to tell you, I would hold on to this stock because I think the vaccine is very for real.
Moderna shares surged 177% on August 19 after the company and Merck & Co. announced that their personalized mRNA cancer vaccine, intismeran autogene, met the primary and key secondary endpoints in a Phase 3 melanoma trial involving 1,137 patients. The result gives Moderna its strongest late-stage evidence yet that its mRNA platform can work as a therapeutic cancer treatment. However, the detailed Phase 3 data have not been released, and investors should not confuse the new results with the 49% reduction in recurrence or death and 59% reduction in distant metastasis or death reported in the earlier Phase 2b study.
The clinical breakthrough arrived well before Moderna, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:MRNA) financial turnaround. The company generated $145 million of second-quarter 2026 revenue and reported a $782 million GAAP net loss, while continuing to target cash breakeven in 2028. A caller on the August 26 episode of Mad Money highlighted local neighbors abandoning Airbnb over a forthcoming change that shifts guest fees directly in listing prices. They asked if they should dump their 5% Airbnb, Inc. (NASDAQ:ABNB) holdings and invest in Toll Brothers. Jim Cramer replied:
Well, I do like Toll Brothers very much, but I have to tell you, I think you're an outlier. As I know, the Jersey beaches, they're always trying to figure out how to stop the party houses; I wouldn't worry. Internationally, Airbnb is smoking it. I say you stay long that stock.

International growth remains important to the thesis. Airbnb reported stronger growth across major markets, while hotel nights are growing about three times faster than its home business. Hotels still account for a single-digit percentage of total nights, but about 35% of first-time guests who book a hotel on Airbnb later return to book a home.

In the opening game of today's doubleheader, the Yankees just didn't show up. They were shutout, while the pitching and defense had some shaky moments, leading to less that stellar loss. However with another game to play, they had a chance to quickly bounce back, and — credit to them — the Yankees did that.
In his first start back off the injured list, Fried went just over 60 pitches, which ended up being 3.2 innings. He gave up one run on three hits and a walk, while striking out four. It was a perfectly good outing for someone going for the first time in a couple weeks.
However, the story in this one was more about the Yankees' offense actually putting in a good shift. In total, they ended up recording 13 hits, all of which were just singles. The difference was that they managed to actually string them together, allowing them to score nine runs for the game. Nine runs ended up being plenty, as they rebounded to split the doubleheader and pick up a 9-2 win over the Red Sox.
Despite the win, early on, it seemed like this game might follow a similar path to the first one. Immediately after the Yankees couldn't cash in with runners in scoring position in the second, the Red Sox scored. Nick Sogard led off the third inning with a homer off Fried.
However, the Yankees then immediately struck back, scoring more runs in the bottom of the third than they had in their last couple games. José Caballero led off the inning with a single, and Trent Grisham followed with a walk. Ben Rice then popped in a single to get the Yankees on the board.

Five-year-old Ways and Means was the odds-on favorite on the morning line in the Grade 1, $500,000 Ballerina Stakes, and she was the odds-on favorite when the field of 10 broke from the gate, and she ran exactly how an odds-on favorite should, with confidence and ease, hitting the wire 5 ½ lengths in front for her fifth graded stakes win, four of them coming at Saratoga Race Course.
The bay mare broke from post 7 under regular rider Flavien Prat, who kept her off the rail and several lengths off the pace in the early going of the 7-furlong Ballerina. With little urging from Prat, Ways and Means advanced on the horses in front of her, swinging wide around the final turn. Prat offered her some encouragement at the 3/16ths pole, rousing her to open up on her rivals, and open up she did for her seventh lifetime win from 13 starts.
"I was traveling well behind the pace, and when I got to the turn I didn't want to move too soon," said Prat, "but she naturally came with me and was wanting to go, so I kind of let her creep up to the pace. After that, when we turned from home, she responded.
"I think she has always shown how good she is. I think before it was more of a raw talent, but [now] she has the ability to be a bit more push-button. So [with] the mix of the talent and that, she made a good run today."
The Ballerina was Prat's fifth win on the Travers Day card.
