One of Andrew Tate's accusers says he convinced her to move to Romania by telling her she would be able to decide whether she participated in webcam work. According to newly public extradition materials, she says that choice disappeared after she arrived.
The woman alleges that she began working 12-hour shifts while Tate, his brother Tristan Tate and others controlled conversations with paying customers and accepted money for ***** ual acts she says she had never agreed to perform. TMZ reported the specific allegations from court documents filed as Britain seeks to extradite the brothers from the United States.
She says she had set explicit boundaries around what she would and would not do but was pressured into acts outside those limits, including one degrading act involving a bed fixture that allegedly continued for about an hour. The woman described her overall experience as feeling like "sexual slavery." The allegations have not been proven in court.
U.K. investigators allege the brothers used romantic relationships to draw women to Romania before using financial control, intimidation and violence to exploit them through online ***** ual content. The brothers deny wrongdoing and are fighting extradition from federal custody in Miami.
According to the documents described by TMZ, the woman says Tate persuaded her to relocate to Romania in 2017. The woman says she that Tate, Tristan and other people involved in the operation controlled communications with customers.

Few hype videos in recent college football history proved as eye-catching as Kansas' latest, released days before the Jayhawks took on rival Missouri in "The Border War."
The video referenced the region's precarious history, likening the actions of Missouri-based pro-slavery forces to villains compared to Kansas-born abolitionists like John Brown.
The Tigers answered the call on the field, downing the Jayhawks 38-21 on Friday night. Shortly after the game went final, Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz had his say about the polarizing video, which garnered millions of views ahead of the tilt.

Named Regulatory Navigator, the free tool enables organisations to receive an instant, indicative summary of relevant legal requirements based on their specific business profile.
The launch comes amid a period of expanding global regulation in areas such as sustainability reporting and forced labour, creating uncertainty for companies over which obligations affect them and when.
With rules varying by headquarters country, revenue, employee numbers, markets served, and whether a company imports goods, Sedex said companies often struggle to keep up with changing thresholds and deadlines.
The Regulatory Navigator aims to address this by guiding users through a short series of questions about their headquarters location, revenue, workforce size, market presence, and import activity.
The tool **** ses responses and highlights which of eight key regulations are likely to impact the business. These include the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the EU Forced Labour Regulation, Canada's S-211 Act to combat forced and child labour in supply chains, and Australia's Modern Slavery Act.

Shortly after announcing his intention to run for U.S. Senate, then-candidate Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., said he would support reparations legislation — government-led efforts to make up for the social harms of slavery and other injustices against Black Americans.
In a 2019 radio interview, Ossoff said it was only a question of how much the government was obligated to give.
"There is a debt unpaid. I think it is a very, very difficult question: how to pay it," Ossoff told a local radio host.
"But see, that should be the question — not if it should be paid," the host noted.

A post asking whether 20,000 XRP is enough for retirement savings drew heavy criticism on X, exposing how far optimistic price targets sit from current reality.
The debate cuts to a question every crypto holder eventually faces: how much is actually enough?
A savings threshold is the portfolio size needed to generate a reliable income without depleting the principal. Jake Claver, chairman of DAG Family Office, applied that idea to XRP holdings this week.
His scenario rested on a single ***** umption. If XRP reached $100 per token, a 20,000 XRP position would be worth $2 million. From there, the math looked simple enough.
A conservative 5% annual return on that sum would produce roughly $100,000 in pre-tax income each year.

The French football federation president, Philippe Diallo, has condemned José Luis Chilavert after the former Paraguay goalkeeper said Les Bleus are "a squad from Africa".
"I condemn in the strongest possible terms the racist remarks made by José Luis Chilavert against the French national team, which undermine the values of respect, fraternity, and diversity in our football," Diallo wrote in a social media post on Saturday. "If he was once a great goalkeeper, this man has now fallen into disgrace."

WASHINGTON, June 30 (Reuters) - Inside President Donald Trump's six "Freedom Trucks" that will drive across the country to celebrate America's 250th birthday, an AI-generated George Washington greets visitors and proclaims: "Thy rights are a gift from God," beneath a ceiling emblazoned with the words, "In God We Trust."
On the eve of the holiday observing the July 4, 1776 Declaration of Independence, the tricked-out "Freedom 250" mobile museum trucks have fanned out, from ‌Washington State on the West Coast to North Carolina on the East Coast. The trucks offer what backers call a year-long patriotic salute to the American Revolution and the nation it birthed.
Freedom 250 spokesperson Rachel Reisner said ‌the organization "is sparking a unifying movement across all 50 states that celebrates the American spirit and showcases our nation at its best."
But the trucks have sparked some backlash. In Massachusetts in June, local media reported that some citizens in one town objected to a planned Freedom Truck visit, leading to its cancellation. Critics say the trucks and other celebrations give an overly religious version of American history and gloss over problems such as slavery and racial injustice.

Wall Street takes a break Friday for the Juneteenth Holiday, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Dow Jones futures trade until 1 p.m. ET Friday, then reopen normally on Sunday
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and other major stock indexes surged Thursday after the U.S. and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding for a peace deal. That agreement pauses ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and reopens the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days while final negotiations take place.
The news comes after the Federal Reserve on Wednesday signaled further rate cuts were off the table, while its policymakers were split on whether a rate cut would be necessary later this year. More economic data is coming next week, with the personal income and outlays report for May due Thursday, along with durable goods orders. New home sales data is due Thursday.
Meanwhile, it was a very eventful week for the stock market, as ******* eX (SPCX) registered its first week of trading following its IPO last Friday.
Elon Musk's rocket company shattered records with its public debut and initial rally during its first three trading days, though SPCX stock retreated on Wednesday and Thursday to pare some of that advance.

The second World Cup match for the U.S. Men's National Team is a consequential one, both on and off the pitch.
The U.S. can clinch the top spot in Group D with a win over Australia Friday afternoon in Seattle if Paraguay also beats or draws with Turkey on Friday night.
This is good news for Fox, which had a whopping 18 million viewers for the USMNT–Paraguay opener. Millions more watched in Spanish on NBCUniversal's Telemundo.
The match kicks off at 12 p.m. in Seattle (3 p.m. Eastern). That typically wouldn't be an ideal broadcast window on a weekday afternoon. But Friday is Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S., and many people have the day off of work.
This means television viewership at home could be big, as could the amount of people watching matches at Fan Fests and watch parties. In addition to all the food and beverage sales for host committees and local businesses, the watch parties make a difference for TV viewership, too: Fox says out-of-home viewership has increased World Cup ratings by 25%.
