Bayern will open formal contract negotiations with Harry Kane at the beginning of August once he returns from vacation. The Englishman is currently Bayern's highest earner alongside Jamal Musiala with around €25m gross per year. Bayern typically aim to cut the salary of players over 30 year old, but with Kane a pay cut will certainly not be a topic. Kane received inquiries from other clubs, but for him it was always clear that Bayern is the perfect club for his career plans
The decisive question for the negotiations will be the new contract duration. Bayern will offer Kane a contract until at least 2029. Meanwhile, the striker is already aiming for the 2030 World Cup and wants to continue playing at the highest level until then. So the situation would be as follows: either a longer contract (until 2030) with a lower salary, or a shorter deal (2029) with a higher salary.
Surely, Bayern Munich will not want to create any ill-will with Kane, who will ***** uredly want a massive number and as long a deal as he can squeeze out of the Bavarians. The talks could be a tricky dance, but it seems very clear that both sides want this deal pretty quickly.

CHICAGO – When the House settlement took effect last year, schools could directly share revenue with athletes with a cap in place. That limit doesn't include third-party NIL deals, though, and roster costs continue to increase in college football.
Speaking Tuesday at Big Ten Media Days, USC coach Lincoln Riley spoke in favor of a "true salary cap" in college sports. While he said the landscape is beginning to stabilize a bit, that would make things even better.

Riley noted the discussions around the state of college sports as the NIL era continues to evolve. He doesn't see the craziness being as much of an issue as others on the outside, though. Instead, he argued things are getting better, though he said a salary cap would further help.
"I've always been one, like, I don't want to have less than somebody has," Riley told reporters at the Hilton Chicago. "But I don't necessarily have to have more. I just don't want to be at some massive, massive disadvantage, if you're trying to win a championship. I will say this, despite the perception outside, it has normalized a lot in the last few years.

Serie A sides Milan and Roma have an increasingly heated market axis and the latest transfer between them could involve Matias Soule.
This week, the Giallorossi stepped forward for Christopher Nkunku. It was expected the two clubs could open discussions for other players, with the Rossoneri having rejected Roma's approach for the Frenchman.

Bayer Leverkusen have entered negotiations with Olympique de Marseille over the potential signing of Facundo Medina, with the Argentina international emerging as one of the club's primary defensive targets this summer.

That game will be packed but today's friendly against a lightweight AC Milan side that will be missing multiple top performers, will not be well attended due to the Celtic support once again being frustrated and angry with the club for creating another summer of discontent through their inactivity in transfer market, so far only getting one deal over the line with the £5m signing of Camilo Duran from Qarabag.

Russell was traded to the Grizzlies in a six-team trade earlier in the offseason. He spent time with the Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards last season.
Russell, 30, appeared in 25 games for Dallas in 2025-26. He chose to opt-in to the final year of his contract which was for $6 million dollars.

Futures are trading higher on Tuesday as traders anxiously await more positive earnings reports after a lower day on Wall Street, as chip stocks rebounded somewhat, and Iran, after 9 straight nights of U.S. attacks, had its foreign ministry indicate that discussions could be pursued further. That is a good idea, given that the Iranian government had also told citizens to limit their electricity use. When the smoke cleared on Monday, all four of the major indices closed lower. The Nasdaq closed at 25,508, down 0.05%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed the session at 51,839, down 0.59%. The S&P 500 closed at 7,443, down 0.19%, while the small-cap Russell 2000 was the biggest loser, last seen at 2,942, down 0.67%. With earnings season now in full swing, all eyes will not only be on earnings but also on forward guidance. Any ambiguity in either could spell trouble for the reporting company.
