He had a strong freshman season at Cocoa Beach High School and is looking to take another step as a junior after skipping his sophomore season. He finished the season hitting .442 with nine doubles, one home run, 19 RBI, and 27 runs in 29 games. He recorded a .509 on-base percentage, walking 11 times and striking out twice.
He made 12 appearances on the mound, going 3-0 with a 2.07 ERA in 44 innings. He held opponents to a .179 batting average, allowing 26 runs (13 earned) on 28 hits and 30 walks, striking out 69 batters. He faced 190 batters and did not allow an extra-base hit.

October live cattle (LEV26) futures on Tuesday rose $4.075 to $217.025 and hit a two-week high. November feeder cattle (GFX26) rose $5.725 to $320.45 and hit a three-week high. Both markets in morning trading on Wednesday were giving back some of Tuesday's strong gains to start the holiday-shortened trading week.
The cattle futures markets on Tuesday saw more solid short covering and perceived bargain buying by the speculators. President Donald Trump's recent overtures to get smaller U.S. beef processors ramped up appears to have also given a psychological boost to the cattle industry.

The DJIA, S&P 500, NASDAQ Composite, and Russell 2000 indices were mostly higher. The long bond futures edged higher. The September dollar index futures fell by 0.40%. The long bond futures rose by 0.40%. A lower dollar index and slightly lower interest rates were a bullish signal for commodity prices, and most raw material futures posted gains. Long-term interest rates edged lower, even though the Fed left the Fed Funds Rate unchanged at the most recent FOMC meeting.
The lack of a settlement between Iran and the United States, along with a tightening of the economic noose around Iran, drove energy prices higher. At the end of August, the hostilities were escalating as the U.S. attempt to use economic weapons has caused backlash from Iran. Crude oil, oil products, crack spreads, natural gas, Chicago ethanol swaps, and Rotterdam coal posted gains in August.

Chicago SRW contracts rallied 10 ½ to 24 ¼ cents across the board on Friday, with September 85 ½ cents higher on the week. Open interest was up 4,975 contracts on Friday. There were just 9 deliveries first notice day for Sep CBT wheat. KC HRW futures saw gains of 10 to 24 ¼ cents in the front months, as September was 71 ½ cents higher since last Friday. There were 143 delivery notices for September KC wheat on FND. MPLS spring wheat joined in on the rally, with contracts 8 ¼ to 12 ½ cents higher, as September was up 47 cents this week.
Over the weekend, Turkey was reportedly pushing for a Black Sea shipping corridor to help restore the flow of grains.
