Shares of D-Wave Quantum (NYSE: QBTS) jumped Monday morning on the announcement that AT&T (NYSE: T) is expanding its use of the company's quantum computing technology across its network operations. This is excellent news in a rough year for D-Wave's stock, which is down more than 26% in 2026.
So should investors buy D-Wave Quantum's stock now?

This new agreement with AT&T expands on a pilot program that demonstrated D-Wave's annealing quantum computing cut processing time for a network optimization workload by 240x, from approximately one hour to 15 seconds.
Ultimately, this result with AT&T could catalyze D-Wave as other companies take notice of the real-world results from the pilot program. The quantum computing industry as a whole could use a boost, having largely lost investor enthusiasm this year after a 2025 run-up.

Warren Buffett stands as one of the most celebrated investors in history. Under his leadership at Berkshire Hathaway beginning in 1965, the investment conglomerate delivered a compound annual gain of 19.7% through 2025, almost double the S&P 500's (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) 10.5% average annual return over the same period.
That performance turned modest early investments into generational wealth for patient shareholders, validating Buffett's reputation for focusing on long-term value rather than short-term profits.

One tool the Oracle of Omaha has long employed for gauging the health of the stock market is the aptly named Buffett indicator, which compares the total value of U.S. stocks to gross domestic product (GDP). Its currently elevated reading raises questions about whether stocks are outrunning underlying economic growth and what that could signal for future returns.
The Buffett indicator is a ratio between the aggregate market capitalization of all publicly traded U.S. companies -- typically captured by a broad index such as the Wilshire 5000 -- and nominal U.S. GDP. This metric offers a snapshot of how large the stock market has become relative to the size of the economy that ultimately supports corporate profits.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, on Tuesday, reportedly ordered the nation's first statewide pause on new hyperscale data centers, temporarily halting environmental permits for up to a year.
The freeze is intended to give the state time to develop rules that protect the environment, the power grid, and consumers' electricity costs. Hochul announced a pause on approving large data centers that consume 50 megawatts or more of power, citing concerns over rising utility bills, strain on natural resources, and uncertainty for residents, reported The Hill, citing a statement from the Governor's office.
She said the state would use the pause to develop what she called the nation's "strongest standards" for future data center development.

Both retailers cater to a pressured consumer, but Dollar Tree's operational cleanup and clearer forward path currently present a more compelling case than Walmart's macro-battered giant.
If you own shares in Walmart (WMT) or Dollar Tree (DLTR), you are making the same fundamental bet: that in a tough economy, the American consumer will flock to value. Both are ****** ans of the same industry, so holding one is an implicit choice over the other. But a sharp divergence in their recent performance, with DLTR gaining while WMT has slipped, forces a forward-looking question: for the same exposure to the value-seeking shopper, which stock is the smarter way to own it from here?
The obvious answer is the bigger, safer Walmart. The surprising truth is that right now, the smaller Dollar Tree is showing more operational control, while Walmart's own management is flagging more acute stress among its core customers.
Guidance Shows Confidence, But The Pressures Differ
The cleanest signal of a company's future is its own forecast. Here, both companies sent a positive message in their latest reports, with each raising its outlook. Walmart boosted its forecast for 2027 net sales and adjusted earnings per share, while Dollar Tree lifted its guidance for 2026 adjusted diluted earnings per share.

AZA Law Firm opened its Dallas office at the Trammell Crow Center on January 1, 2026. The launch ended 32 years of Houston-only practice. Six months in, the office is tracking the public timeline managing partner John Zavitsanos set when the lease was signed: from five lawyers at launch to ten by year-end.
The expansion is intellectual property-led. Patent cases drive more volume in Dallas than in Houston because of the Eastern District of Texas docket, and AZA Law Firm's IP practice had grown to the point where opening a North Texas office was a logical next step. "At least for patent cases, there's more going on in Dallas than there is in Houston," Zavitsanos said in an interview with The Texas Lawbook. "It made sense to have a Dallas office because our IP practice is blowing up."
Warren McCarty, formerly a partner at Caldwell Cassady & Curry, runs the Dallas office as managing partner. McCarty spent 11 years at Caldwell before briefly launching his own firm in June 2025. Several months later, he joined AZA Law Firm to take on the Dallas role. He is a graduate of Illinois State University and the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a law school classmate of Jason McManis, who leads AZA's intellectual property group.
Kyle Poelker, an AZA partner from Houston, runs commercial litigation in the new office. Poelker was on the trial team for the firm's $25.9 million Fondren Orthopedic v. HCA verdict in 2024, the largest 2024 Harris County jury verdict in three commercial categories. His move to Dallas pairs commercial litigation experience with McCarty's patent-trial background and gives the new office practice coverage on both sides of AZA Law Firm's caseload.

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (NYSE:AEM) was among the stocks Jim Cramer commented on as he advised investors on how to take advantage of Wednesday's market rotation. A caller asked if the stock is a buy, sell, or hold. In response, Cramer said:
Okay… I say, as much as I like Agnico and you know I do, Al-Joundi's a terrific CEO, I am not going to recommend gold. I still think it has a little further to fall… I believe in gold, but I think it's going lower.
Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (NYSE:AEM) is a gold mining company that explores for and produces precious metals, including gold, silver, zinc, and copper. During the May 7 episode, a caller asked for a next six-months prediction for the stock, and Cramer responded:
You're in, you would be in the best one. I don't think, I am not bullish on gold right now. I remember we had the great Larry Williams on, and he said, listen, gold is going lower. I'm with Larry.
While we acknowledge the potential of AEM as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk. If you're looking for an extremely undervalued AI stock that also stands to benefit significantly from Trump-era tariffs and the onshoring trend, see our free report on the best short-term AI stock.

A rollover on the interstate at 3:00 a.m. is already a bad day. But for a growing number of motor carriers, even worse financial damage comes from the tow bill that follows.
Stephen Brasher, Travelers Inland Marine Claim Unit Manager, joined FreightWaves' What the Truck?! with host Malcolm Harris to break down how predatory towing practices are draining carriers of tens (and sometimes hundreds) of thousands of dollars per incident.
Brasher says the tow operators hold nearly all the leverage, invoices are routinely inflated, and motor carriers who don't respond immediately can watch storage fees consume whatever margin they had left.
"Imagine it's 3:00 a.m. and one of your drivers is involved in a rollover accident on the interstate," Brasher said. "The truck and trailer are blocking the roadway, the trailer is breached, and cargo is strewn across the highway. When the County Sheriff shows up, his priority is to get those travel lanes cleared as fast as possible, so he dispatches a tow company."
The motor carrier has no say in which company responds, and the moment that tow operator hooks up, a billing clock starts running that can be extraordinarily difficult to stop. "Motor carriers need to understand, you do not get to choose that tow company," Brasher said.
