The honeymoon phase is far from over for Travis Kelce.
The NFL star, who married Taylor Swift over the summer in a ceremony at Madison Square Garden, opened up more about the high-profile nuptials during a preview of his upcoming ESPN interview with Chris Berman.
Swift and Kelce tied the knot at the iconic New York City venue on July 3. The star-studded wedding featured a bevy of A-list guests, including Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Adam Sandler and Zoë Kravitz.
"Marrying Taylor was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up," Kelce, 36, said, according to footage obtained by "Entertainment Tonight." "And the amount of, you know, love that was in the air."
Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, who also appeared in the interview, shared the sentiment.

Brandon Graham is retiring from the NFL again, officially ending one of the most accomplished and beloved careers in Philadelphia Eagles history.
Graham announced his retirement Tuesday after 16 seasons, according to Zach Berman of The Athletic. The 38-year-old spent his entire career with Philadelphia, becoming a two-time Super Bowl champion and the longest-tenured player in franchise history . Graham retired following the Eagles' Super Bowl win over the Patriots after 15 seasons in the NFL, but Philadelphia convinced him to return from retirement last October. He recorded three sacks and eight tackles in nine games and played a handful of snaps on the interior to help replace an injured Jalen Carter.
His two-sack performance against the Las Vegas Raiders made him the oldest player in Eagles history to record a sack.
Philadelphia released Graham in June in what was described as a procedural move, leaving open the possibility of another return. Graham expressed interest in playing a 17th season and participating in a full training camp, but the Eagles entered September with a younger and deeper group of edge defenders.
The No. 13 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, Graham appeared in 215 regular-season games and recorded 79.5 sacks and 128 tackles for loss. His career required patience after early injuries and criticism, but he eventually developed into one of the franchise's most dependable defenders and respected leaders.

Virginia Tech hoops head coach Mike Young will have at least one more season to try to right the ship. Young was entering the final year of his contract this season, but he signed a one-year extension at the end of July. Young was one of several Hokies head coaches extended along with women's basketball head coach Megan Duffy, swim and dive coach Sergio Lopez Miro, men's soccer head coach Mike Brizendine and softball head coach Pete D'Amour.

With the extension, Young will make $3 million this year and in 2027-28. According to Thomas Hughes of Virginia Tech Hokies on SI, Young will receive a $2 million buyout if he is fired on or before next March 15, and $1 million if axed before March 15, 2028.
Young, who took over for Buzz Williams when he left for Texas A&M in 2019, led the Hokies to two NCAA Tournaments in his first three seasons. But the Hokies haven't been back since and haven't posted a winning record in ACC play the last four seasons. He is 124-98 in seven seasons with the Hokies, though just 60-70 in conference play.

Tim Curry, the oddball English actor who gravitated toward playing kooky personalities like the extravagant Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult film "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and devilish villains like Pennywise the Clown in "It" and Mr. Hector in "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," has died. He was 80.
Curry died peacefully at his Toluca Lake home on Wednesday, his longtime manager and friend Marcia Hurwitz confirmed. No cause of death was disclosed. Curry suffered a paralyzing stroke in 2012 that put him in a wheelchair, from which he said last year, "I've been recovering for quite a long time."
Celebrated for his versatility, cartoonish expressions and flamboyant style — all paired with a distinctly wry sense of humor — Curry soared to fame for his portrayal of the androgynous mad-scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the midnight movie "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."
Curry originated Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the London stage musical "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" in 1973. He then starred in the role in the American premiere of the production in Los Angeles in 1974 and later on Broadway in 1975, before the movie was released later that year.

The NWSL has a new media partner to replace Victory+. The league reached a deal with Roku that will put its package of Sunday night matches on the free Roku Sports Channel beginning Aug. 30.
Roku will become the exclusive streaming home of eight NWSL Sunday night matches over the remainder of the 2026 season before expanding to 25 games in 2027, the league said. The agreement gives the NWSL a replacement for the Sunday night slate previously carried by Victory+, which the league abruptly dropped last month.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the league said Roku emerged from a competitive process, citing the platform's reach, accessibility and ability to make matches easier for fans to discover.
"We were incredibly encouraged by the level of interest in this package and the competitiveness of the process, which speaks to the growing value of NWSL media rights," NWSL commissioner Jessica Berman told The Athletic. "Ultimately, Roku stood out as the right partner because of its tremendous scale, commitment to discoverability and ability to reach both existing fans and entirely new audiences. We're excited to build on an existing relationship with Roku at an important moment for our league and for women's soccer."
The deal comes less than a month after the NWSL terminated its agreement with Victory+, the free streaming platform. The Athletic previously reported that unfulfilled payments from Victory+ contributed to the league's decision to end the relationship, according to league sources that spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the deal freely.

Michael Wright, an actor known for his roles in the films The Five Heartbeats and Sugar Hill, has died at age 70.
Wright died on Wednesday, August 19, after suffering heart failure and complications of Marchiafava-Bignami disease, his family told TMZ.
Marchiafava-Bignami disease, or MBD, is a rare condition involving the erosion of the corpus callosum, the area that facilitates communication between the brain's two hemispheres, according to Verywell Health. Symptoms include paranoia, psychosis, seizures, dementia, difficulty speaking, and difficulty moving limbs, the site adds.
Born in New York City on April 30, 1956, Wright played Eddie, the troubled lead singer of a fictional R&B group, in the 1991 musical drama The Five Heartbeats, written by Robert Townsend and Keenen Ivory Wayans and directed by Townsend. Entertainment Weekly critic Owen Gleiberman said Wright gave a "a stunning performance" in the film and "makes [Eddie] sleek, with undercurrents of hostility and danger."
Three years later, Wright starred opposite Wesley Snipes in the crime drama Sugar Hill, written by Barry Michael Cooper and directed by Leon Ichaso. Wright and Snipes played Raynathan and Roemello Skuggs, respectively, two brothers working in the drug trade for the mob boss who ruined their family. Los Angeles Times reviewer Kenneth Turan said the film "at various moments … gets fine work from Michael Wright."

Saquon Barkley was among a group of running backs who took part in a Zoom call in 2023 to discuss the depressed market for their position.
As recently as last season, Barkley was the only running back averaging more than $20 million annually. Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs and Jonathan Taylor have all signed deals recently that put them at $22 million or more per season.
Barkley, who has an annual average of $20.6 million, ranks below all three now.
"I love it. That's how it's supposed to be," Barkley said Thursday, via Zach Berman of TheAthletic.com. "Christian [McCaffrey] did it before me. I did it after Christian. And now we have three in a row. I look forward to the next guys to do it. It was like that for every other position besides running back. You can see that coming back to life. Those guys are very deserving of it. They're ***** uva players, make a lot of impact in games for their teams. Their teams are different when they're not on the field. Hopefully in the next 5-10 years, it keeps going higher. That's how it's supposed to go."

ESPN co-founder Bill Rasmussen passed away at the age of 93.
Rasmussen brought his vision of a 24/7 all-sports network to life in 1979. Even though he left the network the next year, his impact in helping to launch the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network has far surpassed anyone's reasonable expectations of what could be possible.
In the wake of his passing, several pillars of ESPN's past and present stepped forward to pay tribute.
"Bill was a remarkable man – a visionary and an innovator who conceived the idea of a network entirely devoted to sports," said ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro in a statement released by ESPN. "Quite simply, none of us would be here today if it wasn't for Bill's passion and all the hard work and entrepreneurial spirit he put into building ESPN in the late 1970s – key aspects of our company culture that still carry on to this day."
"He was such a grateful person and every sports fan can be grateful for Bill. He wasn't a glass half-full guy; his glass was always overflowing with optimism. He greeted everyone with a smile and we can all smile knowing Bill's legacy," ESPN legend Chris Berman added in the ESPN announcement.

But with the Eagles potentially preferring to keep the cheap rookie long-term, it might make more sense to move on from either Andy Dalton or Tanner McKee this summer. So, which is more likely to go?
As Zach Berman of The Athletic notes, Dalton is more likely to be traded for a simple reason: he's a much better plug-and-play QB than McKee due to their difference in experience in the NFL.
"I don't anticipate the Eagles will keep both McKee and Dalton, and I still believe Dalton has more trade value at this time of year," Berman writes. "... In August, a 16-year veteran with 169 career starts would be more appealing to a team seeking a patchwork solution - if either is traded."

A lot has happened since September, when National Women's Soccer League commissioner Jessica Berman said she intended to stay with the league.
In November, the NWSL announced her three-year contract extension, keeping Berman in the role through the 2028 season. Before the ink on her contract was dry, the league introduced the High Impact Player rule, in part, to keep Trinity Rodman, one of its most marketable players, stateside. It welcomed two new franchises, Boston Legacy and Denver Summit, to play in March, postponed potential calendar-flip discussions until 2030, launched a new footwear exposure policy and most recently terminated its short-lived streaming agreement with Victory+.
Through the first 15 weeks of the season, NWSL matches averaged 11,174 fans, the second-highest attendance average in league history — behind the 2024 season, which finished with an average of 11,249 spectators.
Expansion clubs in particular have helped fuel those numbers. Denver opened its inaugural season before more than 63,000 spectators, while Boston attracted approximately 30,000 for its debut. Gotham FC hosted more than 42,000 fans for its match at Citi Field, a one-off game against the Washington Spirit at the home of the New York Mets.
Berman, however, is more interested in median attendance as a sign that a "rising tide is lifting all boats."

His viewpoint changed after attending a Hypegolf Invitational hosted by Hypebeast. Seeing the combination of streetwear culture with golf, Oyewole recognized the sport's ability to foster community instead of exclusivity.
This insight led to the founding of Swang, a Los Angeles-based golf collective co-founded by Oyewole and Josh Hubberman, a creative strategist at Cthdrl. What began as an informal group of 15 at a local driving range has grown rapidly to more than 1,200 active members and hosted over 50 events in its first year. The group's biweekly gatherings regularly attract hundreds, showing Swang's momentum and ability to bring new faces into the golf community. By focusing on making golf more open and culturally connected, Swang has attracted substantial corporate support.
Golf participation has reached record highs in recent years, according to the National Golf Foundation. However, Oyewole and Hubberman saw Swang's main opportunity in broadening the sense of welcome on the course.

ESPN and the rest of the sports media industry were left reeling Tuesday as the Mothership ejected approximately 10 on-air talents, while pink-slipping a large contingent of behind-the-scenes staffers at NFL Network.
After speaking with multiple sources, here are my five takeaways from the layoffs, which included ESPN dropping talents such as Ryan Clark, Karl Ravech, David Lloyd, Tom Pelissero, Cam Newton, and Bart Scott:
Chairman Jimmy Pitaro made it clear that ESPN's biggest round of layoffs in three years was tied directly to Disney's acquisition of NFL Network. Anytime two companies merge, the bean counters look at who's doing what. When they find two people doing the same job—or close to it—one goes out the door.

That's what's happening as ESPN absorbs a network it competed with for over 20 years. ESPN has made "significant progress" integrating NFLN, Pitaro wrote in an internal memo obtained by Front Office Sports. But as always with mergers, it "had to make some difficult decisions," added Pitaro.
ESPN will broadcast its first-ever Super Bowl from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Feb. 14, 2027. Televising a Super Bowl has been a corporate dream of ESPN's since its founding as a scrappy wannabe in 1979. ESPN management and parent company Disney are laser-focused on creating the best, most thorough Super Bowl coverage ever. Anybody on-air during what ESPN is humbly calling its "Year of the Super Bowl" will go down in company history. The competition for those choice on-air slots will be brutal.

New York Times reporter and best-selling author Jonathan Swan inadvertently dropped an f-bomb while speaking about Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, the recently released book he wrote with his co-author Maggie Haberman at a Quaker school in Washington, D.C. this week.
Swan and Haberman addressed an audience at Sidwell Friends School on behalf of the legendary D.C. bookstore, Politics and Prose.
The moderator, Tim Alberta with The Atlantic, asked the authors about the book's dark humor.

Almost every phone and laptop runs on memory chips called DRAM. A US lawsuit says the three firms that make almost all of them keep prices high by limiting supply.
This is not the first accusation against them. Days later, the same firms unveiled a $650 billion spending plan and blamed the shortage on the AI boom.
In 2005, Samsung admitted it fixed memory prices and paid a $300 million fine. It was the second-biggest penalty of its kind in US history. Some bosses went to prison. The new lawsuit says the companies later reinstated those same people in their jobs.
The new case is in a California federal court. The buyers suing include 14 people and three small computer shops. One of their law firms, Hagens Berman, won the payout from the original case years ago.
Here is the trick the lawsuit describes. Chips made for AI computers sell for far more than ordinary memory. Plaintiffs say the firms shifted factories toward AI memory chips and let everyday supplies run short. Ordinary memory prices then jumped about 700% in four years.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Showing off towering new flagpoles he had erected on the White House North and South Lawns last summer, President Donald Trump suggested that he wanted to make similar renovations in his first term but was worried about the negative press.
"You guys were after me," he told reporters. "I was the hunted. And now I'm the hunter."
The incident, recalled in "Regime Change," New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan's new book on the first year of Trump's second term, encapsulates how different Trump's return to the White House in 2025 has been from his first term.
The book spells out a thesis that Trump himself believes: Had he not lost the 2020 election, he would not be as powerful in his second term as he is now — emboldening him to trample norms, dismantle established institutions and push the limits of presidential power.
Trump still falsely claims to have won in 2020. But a second term coming then might have been marred by pushback from members of his own administration, the coronavirus pandemic and the runaway inflation it caused, as well as an antagonistic Congress controlled by Democrats. He hasn't faced those issues this time.

Vice President Vance on Wednesday said he was "legitimately worried" about audio tapes of conversations from the Situation Room being leaked to journalists at The New York Times.
His comments come after a recent report alleged that Vance led the administration's response to fallout from the release of files tied to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. A separate report from the Times detailed President Trump's discussions in a series of meetings inside the Situation Room pertaining to U.S. strategy throughout the Iran war.
"There's always an element of truth. There's always an element of nontruth, but there were certain things in there that legitimately made me worried that people were like taping … which by the way is like a felony," Vance said during an appearance on SiriusXM's "The Megyn Kelly Show," where he discussed how the reporting could influence a potential presidential run.
An excerpt from the upcoming book "Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump" by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan reports that Vance told Cabinet officials to release all of the files tied to Epstein, including unsubstantiated allegations against Trump.
The report includes direct quotes from Vance, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles and White House communications director Steven Cheung, among others, as they reportedly worked to develop a plan to lighten the blow of the Epstein scandal.
