Hugh Jackman just finished doing business with Jason Segel.
In Touch can confirm that the Deadpool & Wolverine star, 57, purchased Segel's former Pasadena, California, home in an off-market deal for nearly $6.9 million.
The 5,091-square-foot, single-family home includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The Shrinking star, 46, purchased the property — which was built in 1919 — in May 2019 for $4.255 million.
At the time Segel made the purchase, Architectural Digest reported that the house had retained much of its original character, but with major updates, including a room that was being used as a home gym and an updated chef's kitchen.
The formal living room boasts a wood-burning fireplace, and the kitchen features an island and a breakfast nook. Some of the bedrooms on the upstairs level feature slightly slanted ceilings, and some of the bathrooms include deep-soaking tubs as well as glass-enclosed steam showers.

A venue fit for royalty served as the backdrop for Meghan Markle's 2019 baby shower. On a snowy February day, the year before she and Prince Harry stepped back as senior members of the royal family, the **** ss of Sussex was showered with love by friends at New York's luxurious The Mark Hotel.
The 16-story neo-Italian Renaissance, landmark building, located on the corner of 77th Street and Madison Avenue in Manhattan, was designed by architects Schwartz & Gross in 1926. The property offers 106 rooms, 44 suites and three penthouses.
The Mark Penthouse on the hotel's 16th floor is where Meghan's baby shower was held. The penthouse spanning 10,000 square feet is the largest in the country. It features four bedrooms, four fireplaces, five full bathrooms, two powder rooms, two wet bars, a Technogym fitness room and spa, in addition to a 2,500-square-foot rooftop terrace complete with a cold plunge. Described as the hotel's "ravishing grand penthouse," the residence comes with a crown-worthy bill, costing $100,000 per night, plus tax.
Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, Gayle King, Daniel Martin, Jessica Mulroney and Abigail Spencer were among the guests who gathered at the penthouse for the baby shower to celebrate the **** ss, who was pregnant with her and Harry's first child, son Prince Archie, at the time. The festivities that day included flower arranging, with the flowers later donated to charity.
"My girlfriends surprised me with a really beautiful baby shower in New York," the Suits alum recalled in her and Harry's 2022 Netflix docuseries. "They're like, 'We're going to shower her with love and shower her baby"...and boy did they in style!"

Delaying Social Security to 70 earns 8% annually, turning a $2,500/month benefit at 67 into roughly $3,100 per month. That represents a permanent $600/month gain for both spouses.
Freed home equity replaces unclaimed Social Security income, shields investments from forced selling, and delivers tax-free spending cash during the bridge years.
Married couples can exclude up to $500,000 in home-sale gains, but excess gains are taxable and can spike Medicare IRMAA premiums two years later.

A couple in their late 60s sells the house they raised kids in (stairs are annoying, property taxes climb, two bedrooms sit empty) and buys something smaller. They walk away with roughly $300,000 in cash after closing. The question: do they turn on Social Security, or use that freed equity to wait?

SYDNEY, June 23 (Reuters) - Just a short stroll from Sydney's famous Bondi Beach, auctioneer Clarence White struggles to drum up bids for an airy three-storey home that boasts five bedrooms and an al fresco lounge - price tag, A$5.2 million ($3.64 million).
"We know everyone's cagey at the moment, but that's okay ... all power to those who are registered and those ‌who take action," the veteran auctioneer tells a small group of prospective buyers and onlookers, none of whom bids.
Failed auctions like this were once the exception in Sydney's red-hot property market. Now, clearance ‌rates across the country have plunged, squeezed by an end to property investment tax breaks.
The policy shift unveiled last month is the biggest in decades and seen by some as ending Australia's obsession with property, for generations the primary way to build wealth, making Sydney and Melbourne among the world's least affordable markets.

The Princess of Wales always appears to be the picture of poised perfection during public engagements. Ever since she was welcomed into the royal family when she got engaged to Prince William in 2010, she has rarely put a foot wrong – so it's something of a relief to learn that she is just like us in some ways.
In a previous interview with The Times, podcaster Giovanna Fletcher, who had Princess Kate as a guest on her parenting podcast in 2020, gave a rare insight into what Princess Kate is really like, and her anecdote proves that the future Queen is more like us than we originally thought.
"She told me that she was notoriously bad at keeping an eye on her phone," Giovanna wrote. "She always loses her phone. All of her Christmas presents that year were related to her keeping track of her phone… It was all about her not losing her phone."
This could be more of an issue than ever due to the Wales family's new home, Forest Lodge, which is bigger than their previous home, Adelaide Cottage - giving the royal more nooks and crannies to misplace her mobile.
Forest Lodge boasts eight bedrooms, while Adelaide Cottage had four – quite the upgrade!

Cities made a bet on millennials — but forgot 1 key thing

Millennials moved to cities in droves during the 2000s and 2010s, drawn by the restaurants, the nightlife, and the high-paying jobs. Urban planners and local leaders celebrated, embracing what became known as the “creative class” theory — the idea that attracting educated, creative workers would drive cities’ economic growth.
Real estate developers built accordingly, constructing apartment buildings filled with studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms designed for singles, roommates, and childless couples. Young professionals could a

It hasn’t been easy to be a renter in the last five years. Rental prices surged in the aftermath of the pandemic, outstripping wage growth. But recently, renters have notched a small win: In much of the country, rents are falling.
Median monthly rent on units with up to two bedrooms fell 1.7% year-over-year in October to $1,696, according to Realtor.com. They’re now down about 3.6% from their 2022 peak.
Those lower prices are a win for many renters, and in some cases, they’re an incentive to keep renting for longer. While rents are falling, the cost of homeownership has continued to climb. M
