Prince Harry has opened up about the emotional toll of leaving his royal life behind, revealing that he slipped into a two-week depression after relocating to Canada with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their young son, Prince Archie.
The Duke of Sussex, 42, reflected on the difficult period during an appearance on MasterClass, explaining that his departure from the high-pressure environment he had grown accustomed to triggered an unexpected physical and emotional response.
"Being in Canada, away from the stressful environment where presumably my body was just pumped full of adrenaline, within two or three days, I experienced this adrenaline crash, something that I'd never experienced before," Harry recalled.

MADRID (AP) — Formula 1 drivers enjoyed the high adrenaline produced by the Madring track at the Spanish Grand Prix while complaining about the lack of overtaking opportunities on the new circuit.
They also called for other improvements such as reducing the pit lane length. Madrid has produced a hybrid urban circuit using existing roads and purpose-built sections for its first grand prix in 45 years.
"In terms of track design I think it can be better," Red Bull's Max Verstappen said on Saturday. "Input from drivers in the future on track design can also help a lot. ... If you want to have better racing, overtaking, I think there can be a few corners that can be changed."
Verstappen added, "There's always a way to find an overtaking opportunity around a track."
There were only a few overtaking maneuvers in the first days of action at Madring across F1, F2 and the F3 series. Some commentators called Madring the Spanish Monaco.

At the Olimpico on Saturday, August 24, Roma put together a display that went further than the usual opening-day adrenaline: dominant possession and chance creation that kept coming, while Fiorentina struggled to build anything resembling a move.
Possession sat at 61% for the hosts against 39% for Fiorentina, which is more than can be said for the shot counts, where the numbers moved around depending on who was counting. Shots on target were the clearest gap: seven for Roma against a single one from Fiorentina all afternoon. Roma also completed nearly twice as many passes as their visitors and won the aerial battle comfortably, 9 duels to 3. What stood out more than any single number was the shape of the pressing: wing backs pushing forward with real consistency and a high line that didn't switch off even when the ball looked lost, closer to the front-foot version of Gasperini's football than the more cautious, results-first team we mostly saw for long stretches last season.
One match isn't enough to declare a tactical shift official, but when what you watched lines up with what little hard data holds steady across sources, the signal still carries some weight.
Malen and Dybala are already speaking the same language
Donyell Malen closed the game with a hat-trick, in the 27th, 52nd and 60th minutes, and every single goal came from a Paulo Dybala ****** ist. One player supplying all three ****** ists for a Serie A hat-trick is rarer than you'd think: the last time it happened was May 2, 2021, when Rodrigo Palacio scored a treble for Bologna against Fiorentina off three ****** ists from Emanuel Vignato, in a game that finished 3-3. Malen walked off with a perfect 10.0 Sofascore rating after just 68 minutes, subbed before full time because there was nothing left to prove.

Former TOPGUN pilot Matthew "Whiz" Buckley told Fox News Digital that the recent crash of a Marine Corps F-18 in Washington state — and the pilot's split-second decision to eject — highlights both the violence of the maneuver and how the ensuing shock can leave an aviator feeling eerily calm.
On June 13, 2026, Marine Corps Maj. Jackson Simon emerged from a wooded area with a bloodied face and walked down the road toward a Yakima County sheriff's deputy, whose bodycam captured the pilot appearing remarkably composed.
"I'm a little frazzled," was about as close as Simon came to expressing fear after his F-18 Hornet crashed into the forest and sparked a small wildfire near Rimrock Lake.
Buckley, who flew F-18 Hornets during his 15-year career in the U.S. Navy, said Simon was likely experiencing a combination of shock, an adrenaline letdown and the effects of training that teaches pilots to compartmentalize under pressure.

Sydney Sweeney recently shared a clip of her latest adventure-sport outing and mentioned Tom Cruise in the caption. This has drawn considerable reaction from fans, and Top Gun's official Instagram page has also commented on her post.
Sydney Sweeney posted a clip of her wing walking on Instagram. Set to Yeah Yeah Yeahs' 'Spitting Off the Edge of the World' (ft. Perfume Genius), the video shows Sweeney strapped to a biplane as it maneuvers in the sky. "Watch out Tom Cruise," the Euphoria star wrote in the caption.
Sweeney's post has drawn a massive reaction from the fans. It currently has over 400,000 likes and more than 5,000 comments. The official Top Gun Instagram page is one of the commenters. "Feel the need for speed," the page shared. Meanwhile, actress Leslie Mann urged Sweeney to be careful.
Further, one of the fans wrote, "Whole lotta Nope for me, but between the Bungie and this I get the feeling you like the adrenaline rush :). Just triple-check safety!" Another fan called the video "amazing" in capital letters. A third admitted, "See, I could get on the plane and would do this but the going upside down and twists parts would probably freak me out a little! Add No Fear to your resume, Sydney!"
Although Top Gun commented on the post, Sweeney's caption likely refers to the 2025 movie Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which features Cruise performing a wing-walking stunt in an extraordinary sequence.

Carlos Espi is arguably the least notable signing made by Real Madrid this summer, and he is definitely the "smallest" name when compared to the likes of Yan Diomande, Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate. However, he made the biggest impact during Los Blancos' 2-1 victory over Espanyol on Saturday, as he scored the winning goal in the 90th minute.
As per MD, Espi was asked about that moment when he spoke at his presentation on Sunday, as he admitted that he struggled to sleep due to the adrenaline of the moment.
"We arrived home at 3am and between messages and that euphoria that I had on top of me, I slept very little because, in addition, I woke up wanting to come here. The truth is that I have slept very little. It was a very beautiful moment, we all had a lot of desire, a lot of euphoria. When I scored they were all there in the corner, it was incredible that they were all with me, they were all happy for me and I am proud that the Real Madrid players are very happy for me."
Espi also spoke on making the move to Real Madrid earlier this summer, which is something that he is very proud of.
"It's a source of pride. I'm very happy for my family and for myself and I'm going to give my all for this club. It's very impressive to see the 15 Champions Leagues, I'm very happy. It's impressive, they take care of every detail. On a football level they are the best in the world. The facilities, the Bernabéu, when I went to the Bernabéu it was incredible. I would say practically everything."

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo stepped back onto the field Saturday and left it feeling more like himself than he had in a long time. The running back said he felt great with the ball in his hands, even as he continues working his way fully back from injury.
"I made some minor errors in my details of what I was doing, but for the most part, I felt good having the ball in my hands," Skattebo told reporters.
The mistakes were limited to small footwork issues on certain plays, the kind of details he plans to clean up in the film room. Mentally, the injury never entered the picture.
"If it's not hurting me or if it's not bothering me, my mind is clear of it. When I went out there on Saturday, I had no feeling or any recollection of injury in my brain. I was ready to go play football, and adrenaline gets going, so everything kind of goes away," he said.
That clarity did not arrive overnight. The long rehab process brought its share of darker moments, and Skattebo leaned heavily on wide receiver Malik Nabers, who has been navigating his own recovery. The two supported each other through the hardest stretches. As Skattebo regained health first, he was able to help pull Nabers out of a difficult mental ***** e.

A sea of humanity surrounded the tee box on No. 1, as Scottie Scheffler prepared to start his third round on Saturday. It roared on contact, widening the eyes of at least one veteran FedEx St. Jude Championship volunteer hole marshal.
The day began with Scheffler leading the field by three strokes thanks to his virtuosic, course record-tying, second-round 61 at TPC Southwind. By the time Scheffler headed back to the clubhouse Saturday, he was still perched atop the leaderboard, leading Sam Burns and Sungjae Im each by two strokes.
Is this the year? Will the string of pulse-pounding, adrenaline-fueled finishes that have become reliably commonplace at Memphis' annual golf tournament finally snap? Can Scheffler leave the few still within striking distance comfortably in the dust?
On behalf of everyone planning to brave the brutally hot conditions: Nooooooo!!
Thrilling, edge-of-your-golf-stool Sundays have made the FedEx St. Jude Championship (and the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational before it) even more special than the elevated status already made them.

Aug. 10—PULLMAN — Jeremiah Bernard left his feet and dove like he was Superman about to snuff out a local crime. The ball had just left the hands of Owen Eshelman, one of three Washington State quarterbacks vying for starting duties, and it was headed for a receiver toward the sideline of Rogers Practice Field.
It never made it there. Bernard made sure of that, roving over from the safety position and laying out to break up the pass, a feat of athleticism and football savvy. He leapt to his feet in a second, in a heartbeat, the moment's adrenaline propping him back up as quickly as he had soared through the air.
"The guys that we brought in, we're hoping they're gonna be what they are," WSU safeties coach Greg Burns said, "and they're working their **** s off."
A transfer from FCS Cal Poly, Bernard certainly fits that bill, a junior safety who is well on his way to earning a starting role in the Cougs' secondary this fall. Bernard, 6-foot and 196 pounds, doesn't just look the part. He plays like it too, making plays like that seem routine, like they're just in his bag.
How does Bernard fit into WSU's defense? For one, he's a face in a crowded WSU safety room, which also includes San Jose State transfer Jaylen Thomas, Arizona transfer Jshawn Frausto-Ramos and Arizona State transfer Jack Bal. That's without mention ing returners like Kyle Peterson and Kayo Patu, both of whom could also secure roles on this year's defense.

Kim Kardashian's family is putting her relationship with Lewis Hamilton to the test.
"As hot as he and Kim are for each other, Lewis is still little more than a 'friend of the family' when it comes to the rest of the Kardashians," admits a source, adding that the reality TV star's sisters and momager Kris Jenner "still see this phase of the relationship as a trial period" and are "all testing how well Lewis fits in with the family dynamic."
Fortunately, the Formula One driver, 41, is no stranger to performing under pressure.
"Despite his undeniably dangerous, death-defying day job, Lewis has a calm, cool personality, especially compared to some of Kim's exes," the source reveals. "He's not an unhinged adrenaline junkie, not even close! He clearly lives by the motto 'never let them see you sweat.'"

If you've ever wanted to listen to Sean Strickland speak for four hours, today is your lucky day. The UFC middleweight champion just sat down with Shawn Ryan and the two talked for over 240 minutes on a variety of different topics. That's over an hour longer than Christopher Nolan's Odyssey!
That film is based on Homer's epic poem and cover's Odysseus' 20 year journey from Ithica to Troy and back. But we have to say, 'complicated man' Sean Strickland's 35 year journey from abused child to two-time UFC champion may give The Odyssey a run for its money. There's too much to go into in one simple article, but the interview covers Sean's many mental issues, troubled youth, how he fell in with a neo-nazi gang in prison, and other really dark stuff.
"If I was drinking, I'd be dead or I'd be in prison," Strickland said. "That's what drinking does, it lowers your inhibition. And so now you're just like, 'Oh, I'm down to do anything.' I mean, I can't even own a revolver. I have one little .22 revolver that I don't f–k with because every time I pick it up, I can't stop thinking about killing myself."
"When I was younger, dude, I had this girl save my life," he added. "I had this .38, I'm just f–king spinning it. And I'm just talking to this girl named Jackie. [You] saved my life, Jackie, thank you. I'm spinning it. I put a round in it. I'm just talking to her and I'm hyperfixating on playing Russian roulette. Still to this day it gives me f–king chills."
"I was like, 'We should do it.' And she's like, 'Sean, no. Don't do it.' And I was like, 'No, what are the odds? Like, one in six? One in six. That's good odds. I'd take those odds.' Right? So I f–king put the gun to my head, and I'm sitting there … I'm working myself up to it. 'F–king do it. I'm f–king goona do it. You f–king ******* .' I'm having a conversation with her, I have every bit of adrenaline and dopamine just being f–king saturated in my brain right now and I f–king love it."

Following the Knicks’ championship win, in which Jalen Brunson was named NBA Finals MVP and scored 45 points in the close-out game, he had surgery to repair a tendon in his left wrist. Fans — including this writer — were surprised that Brunson turned in a Michael Jordan-esque performance in the Finals with a **** wrist, and he sported a cast to the interview. “I was more in pain when I wasn’t in the game versus when we were actually playing. I feel like the adrenaline took over. But yeah, it was definitely an obstacle, but we found a way through,” he describes, adding, “Because it’s my tendon and my structure, my wrist is fine. There was soft tissue that was holding my tendon and it kept flipping and snapping over the bone every time I shot, every time I flicked my wrist, and so clearly it was causing pain, causing friction… I’ll be in this [cast] for about another six weeks, and then from that point on, it’s just my rehab after that. But I should be good.” — 7/22/2026 Variety.com

LAS VEGAS – Cody Garbrandt received a bit of a wake-up call following Dustin Poirier's recent arrest.
A former UFC champion now nearing the end of his career, Garbrandt (15-7 MMA, 10-7 UFC) contemplated his future after fighting, as well as what's in store for his fellow fighters as as whole.
Poirier, who's long been a staple of the UFC, retired from MMA earlier this year. In multiple interviews before and after his arrest, Poirier expressed how tough it was for him to adapt to life after fighting. Things reached a boiling point for Poirier two weeks ago when he was arrested for public drunkenness at an airport.
Garbrandt, 35, can see how fighters – even successful ones like Poirier – stuggle in retirement from many different aspects: physical and mental health, financial stability, and more. "No Love" would like to see the UFC help mitigate these issues.
"I don't know how many years I have left in the sport, but I pray that God lets me stay healthy, intact, and I can leave on my own terms," Garbrandt told MMA Junkie on Tuesday. "I think a lot of fighters don't get that opportunity. They have to fight because they need the money. They have to fight injured. It's tough. You see them walk away and the detriment that it does getting released back into the wild. Like, man, you're not going to have that adrenaline, something to look forward to, so it's tough. I just pray that a lot of these fighters stacked their money, get plans for after. I wish the UFC did a little more in helping us out with that: healthcare, insurance, 401K. It's scary to leave something that's secure and you've chased your whole life, and then it's done and those paychecks don't come in, those sponsorships don't come in. Then you go back to not having that adrenaline of chasing something. ... It's scary to think about that stuff. I can see why mentally, physically, emotionally a lot of fighters you see in the media go through stuff like that."

The 200-meter ***** erfly world record, finally, has been broken.
Canada’s Summer McIntosh broke the longest-standing individual world record in women’s swimming on Sunday night at the Canadian trials in Montreal. McIntosh completed the 200-meter ***** erfly in 2:01.65.
“To be honest, as soon as I dove in I felt absolutely incredible,” McIntosh said, via the CBC. “The crowd just got my adrenaline going … I went out pretty fast and I think I just held on very well. It was done very well and it’s a great way to start off trials.”
China’s Liu Zige held the record previously when she completed the event in 2:01.81 back in 2009. Liu got her record at China’s National Games just months before polyurethane suits were banned from global competition, ending the super-suit era.
McIntosh has come close to the mark in the past, too, and was just 0.18 seconds shy of the record at the world championships in 2025.

The Angels made three bad throws that injured two-and-a-half Mariners batters.
That's unfortunately the top headline in the Mariners eventual 1-0 and sweep of the Angels on Thursday. If you want the details on those injuries first, Kate Preusser has the latest. For a while it looked like we might have a headline involving a perfect game, then a no hitter, then a complete game shutout from Bryce Miller. But his day ended after seven innings, with eight strikeouts, no walks, two hits, one error behind him, and no runs allowed. It also looked like Walbert Ureña might have a no hitter going for the Angels, though his horrible command eventually gifted a run to the Mariners, who looked unlikely to create one for themselves.
"To say runs were at a premium tonight would be an understatement," Dan Wilson said after the game.
The Mariners had finally reassembled their 'A' lineup on Thursday, with the best batters they have to offer. The injury burn from the last month finally seemed to be fizzling out. Unfortunately, Mariners trainer Kyle Torgerson got the bulk of the screen time in the bottom of the first inning.
Julio Rodríguez worked a one-out walk. Dominic Canzone ripped a hard grounder to first. Angels first baseman Nolan Schanuel scooped, spun, and fired the ball right into the back of Julio's head while trying to get the out of at second. It ricocheted into right-center field, and Julio broke for third, reaching with a roar, a fist pump, and a good bit of celebrating. The smile slowly faded as the adrenaline wore off; he stood, helmet in hand, scratching the back of his head. Torgerson and Wilson went out and spoke with him for a while. He'd finish the half inning and take the field in the top of the second. But he'd go to the locker room before his next at bat, giving his spot to Victor Robles.

It’s been an eventful few days for Boston Red Sox first baseman Willson Contreras. On Monday night he was ejected after tapping his helmet to initiate a mock replay review after being ruled out on a check swing. That incident was small potatoes compared to the one that took place Tuesday night at Fenway Park.
Contreras took issue with some trash talk being delivered by Washington Nationals pitcher Cade Cavalli, who yelled “sit down, boy” after striking the ejection-prone batter in the fourth inning. Contreras wasted no time confronting the hurler and a tense situation boiled into a full-on benches-clearing brawl. This provided Contreras the opportunity to show off his skills in the helmet-throwing department—a move that will more likely than not be rewarded with a significant suspension.
After the dust settled, Contreras told the media that he just “snapped” out there, which reflects some self-awareness. He also claimed he apologized, though Cavalli said he didn’t hear an apology.
Quite obviously, being involved in a situation like this is going to heighten adrenaline and Contreras was still pretty locked in while exploring social media after the ejection.
Responding to a not-so-nice comment from a fan on Instagram, Contreras generously invited the tough-talking fan to come meet him at Fenway Park.

Jenifer Lewis is looking back on one of the most personal chapters of her life. The "Black-ish" star recently opened up about her past struggles with ****** addiction, revealing that intimacy became a coping mechanism during the height of her career as she searched for ways to come down from the adrenaline rush of performing.
Speaking candidly on Keke Palmer's "Baby, This Is Keke Palmer" podcast, Lewis shared details about her journey, admitting she didn't recognize her behavior as problematic at the time.
During the conversation, Lewis reflected on her younger years in the entertainment industry and the choices she made while navigating fame and success. "There's no shame in my game," she said before revealing she had been involved with dozens of men throughout her career.
Despite describing some of those experiences positively, Lewis acknowledged that her perspective has changed with age and self-reflection. Looking back, she said she wishes she had better understood her self-worth and viewed her body differently during that period of her life.
Lewis explained that performing on stage often left her searching for a way to come down from the emotional high that came with audience applause and recognition.
