UWM Holdings Corporation (NYSE:UWMC) is one of the Best Penny Stocks with Huge Upside Potential. On May 28, UWM Holdings Corporation (NYSE:UWMC) issued a public statement criticizing Two Harbors’ board for delaying a shareholder vote to obtain approval for the CCM transaction.
The statement released on UWM Holdings’ investor relations page said that Two Harbors is delaying the vote, refusing to negotiate, and preventing shareholders from getting the best value. Management argued that its proposal of $12.50 per share cash or 2.3328 UWMC shares is superior to CrossCountry Mortgage’s (CCM) best and final offer of $12.00 per share plus a pro‑rated stub dividend. The company also noted that the offer meets the board’s stated criteria of all‑cash, fully financed, and invites immediate, good‑faith talks to finalize a deal that benefits Two Harbors’ shareholders.
The statement also accused the Two Harbors’ board and advisors of running a flawed process, prioritizing management over shareholders, wasting money on advisors, and using adjournments as delay tactics. UWMC singled out Chairman Kasnet for adjourning the meeting despite shareholder opposition, calling that action disenfranchising.
In the release, UWM Holdings Corporation (NYSE:UWMC) urged Two Harbor shareholders to vote against the CCM transaction and pressure the board to engage in negotiations.
UWM Holdings Corporation (NYSE:UWMC) is the indirect parent company of United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM), which is the largest wholesale mortgage lender in the US.

Marcus Ericsson delivered the most dominant drive of his IndyCar Series career, but was left with a front row seat as Josef Newgarden took the checkered flag in a wild race that finished into Monday morning at World Wide Technology Raceway.
It was a night that saw the Swedish native start 12th and quickly accelerate through the field and made his presence felt, leading a race-high 114 laps of 260 laps, which also stands as the most in a single race throughout his entire career. He was out front when the first red flag hit on Lap 137, which lasted for 38 minutes and saw drivers briefly exit their cars.
Despite the time creeping near 11pm ET on a Sunday night and the grandstands getting emptier with every passing minute, the race resumed and saw Ericsson thrown into a fight with Newgarden, the rival that beat him on a controversial one-lap shootout from pit lane in the 2023 Indianapolis 500. With 35 laps to go, it was a showdown that saw Ericsson’s #28 Andretti Global Honda trying to chase down the #2 Team Penske Chevrolet of Newgarden, but was never able to do so, falling 0.6613s behind at the finish.
While it marks Ericsson’s best result of the season, there’s no denying he wanted more out of the night.
“No, it's definitely bittersweet after leading that many laps, having a great car underneath me,” said Ericsson, 35. “We drove all the way to the front, was feeling really good up front.

New details from Iran's top diplomat about the strike that killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei provide some of the clearest evidence yet of the precision and strategy behind the joint U.S.-Israeli operation that launched Operation Epic Fury, counterterrorism experts said Sunday.
The account, revealed by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in a new television interview, also highlights what ****** ysts describe as a defining feature of President Donald Trump's national security doctrine: using a decapitation strike against a hostile regime while simultaneously creating an off-ramp to end the conflict.
"Well, the building we were sitting in was targeted, but the wing we were in remained intact while the other wing of the building was destroyed," Araghchi said in an interview that aired June 4 on the Lebanon-based, Hezbollah-backed Al Mayadeen television network.
While Araghchi survived the Feb. 28 strike because he was in a different wing of Khamenei's compound when the attack occurred, he went on to detail how Khamenei was in his office and how others survived.

It's time to talk about Caitlin Clark's shooting.
And to be clear: This isn't to say the Indiana Fever guard is a bad shooter. She very clearly is not.
But the reality is that this season, much like last season, Clark isn't making shots at an efficient enough rate. It's notable enough to have some concern.
These are Clark's shooting stats in her last four games, starting with May 28:

The Boston Red Sox's struggles continued on Sunday afternoon as the club dropped its series finale against the New York Yankees, 6-1.
Now, the Red Sox are 27-36 on the season and in last place in the American League East. Things unfortunately, haven't taken a turn for the better yet and that could mean negative things for the franchise as we inch closer and closer to the 2026 Major League Baseball trade deadline in August.
If the Red Sox keep stacking up losses, the club is going to have to take a long look at the roster and see if there are guys on the club to trade away. For example, USA Today's Bob Nightengale wrote on Sunday that Boston is "expected" to cut ties with All-Star closer Aroldis Chapman if things keep how they have so far this season.
Do you have a take to get off your chest? Do you want to engage in a growing Red Sox community? Comment on our content alongside staff and fans alike!
"Boston Red Sox closer Aroldis Chapman is expected to join his eighth different team, and potentially be in the postseason with his sixth different team," Nightengale wrote. "He is the top reliever available on every contender’s target list, converting 28 consecutive saves dating back to last season, one shy of his career record."

St. Joseph's dominance in the Michigan Girls High School Flag Football League starts at the youth level.
St. Joseph's youth league now has 102 girls, enough for all-girls teams and divisions. When Lainie Dorow started playing in fifth grade, she was the only girl on her team. Then she was one of four. Now, dozens of younger girls hope to one day lead a team to a state ******* le – or even back-to-back championships, like she did Sunday, June 7.
Dorow went 18-for-32 passing for 223 yards, three touchdowns, two 2-point conversions and one interception. She also returned an interception 33 yards for a score on defense to help the Bears beat Gibraltar Carlson, 28-12 and repeat as state champions at Ford Field.
THE FIRST ******* LE: St. Joseph Bears crowned inaugural Michigan Girls High School flag football champions
"We've got girls at 5, 6 and 7 years old learning how to play quarterback, run routes and defend passes," said coach Matt Koch, who also directs the St. Joe Rocket and Flag Football program. "So our program doesn't start in ninth grade. Really, it starts in kindergarten in some cases, and we're not from a big area. It's been great seeing the kind of role models our girls have been for younger girls who try to emulate them. Girls in Berrien County love football and the opportunity to play."

Let’s see if we can get this straight.
The New York Mets, the National League’s greatest failure at 28-35 and going nowhere even after winning six of their last eight games, still have no interest in shopping Freddy Peralta or anyone else President of baseball operations David Stearns still has faith they can make a postseason run.
The Detroit Tigers, easily the American League’s biggest bust at 26-38, are telling teams that two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal is off limits for now, and after winning four consecutive games against the first-place Tampa Bay Rays and Seattle Mariners, they may even decide to keep him in hopes of a miraculous comeback.
The San Francisco Giants just scored 30 runs in consecutive games against the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers – their biggest output since 1944 – and tell you that a sell-off isn’t even whispered about in their front office.
The Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins, two more teams going nowhere, say they aren’t ready to sell considering the AL absolutely stinks, and they are somehow still alive in the wild-card race.

MUMBAI: One of Indian cricket’s worst-kept secrets became official on Saturday as BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia announced Shreyas Iyer as India’s new T20I captain. In a cruel twist of fate, Suryakumar Yadav, who had led India to a third T20 World Cup ***** le just three months ago, now finds himself out of the squad altogether.

It’s the first time a world ***** le-winning skipper has been axed for the team’s next international ***** ignment, though some — like Imran Khan in 1992 and Rohit Sharma, who quit T20Is in 2024 — chose to retire on a high while savouring their triumph.

The Rajasthan Royals opener forced his way into the team after a stunning IPL season in which he smashed 776 runs at a strike rate of 237.3, with a record 72 sixes.

The appointment as captain marks a remarkable comeback for Shreyas, who has not played a T20I since Dec 2023. The 31-year-old will now lead India into a new T20 cycle that includes the 2028 Olympics and T20 World Cup.

‘Shreyas was standout candidate’

Tilak Varma has been named vice-captain, replacing Axar Patel, who served as deputy during India's 2026 World Cup triumph. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar said Shreyas’s leadership record and consistency made him the standout choice.

“We have seen what he has done over the last few years, leading different franchises. He won the IPL with KKR and then handled a tougher season this year after a great start. His own performances have been really good. He was quite close to making the World Cup squad as well. In my opinion, he is a standout candidate with enough experience now of having led in the T20 format,” Agarkar said.

Agarkar acknowledged that Surya’s form and longterm planning influenced the decision. “With regard to Surya, it’s a tough one, having just won the World Cup. But after every World Cup, you reassess the best way forward. Partly his own form and partly looking at the next two-year cycle, we thought this was the best way forward,” he said. Agarkar was effusive about Sooryavanshi. “We have seen what he can do. Even in the playoffs, he almost singlehandedly carried Rajasthan Royals. For a young kid to perform in such a high-pressure environment and be such a game-changer is commendable,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal has replaced the injured Virat Kohli in India’s ODI squad for the three-match series against Afghanistan.

Delhi pacer Prince Yadav has been retained for the Ireland and England tours after earning an ODI call-up against Afghanistan.

Squads for Ireland and Eng tours: Shreyas Iyer (captain), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dube, Tilak Varma, Nitish ***** ar Reddy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammad Siraj, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

The Boston Red Sox have a decision to make at or around the trade deadline. Do they want to be buyers, or do they want to be sellers? Despite their 27-35 record, which puts them in last place in the American League East division, there is a small belief that Boston could still fight for a playoff bid. And it’s not unreasonable to think they could. The Red Sox are only three and a half games out of the third Wild Card spot with plenty of baseball left.
Either way, there is probably an ***** umption that they have to act by the deadline. On which side of the line is unclear. But either way, some names would be on the table. Outfielder Jarren Duran is one of those names. He’s been in trade rumors since last offseason due to his skill set and contract value. But there are two questions to this topic: will they trade him, and should they?
Due to Duran’s spectacular 2024 season, in which he attained some MVP votes, he still has some value in the eyes of the opposing executives and general managers. However, according to Jeff Passan, the value the Red Sox and Craig Breslow place on him is a far cry from what other teams place on him. And that’s fair. After a standout season where he hit .285 and had 83 extra-base hits, he’s failed to recapture that magic. The hope was that he would bounce back and perform well this year. He’s done decent this year and is good for a starter, but nothing that screams a star player.
Overall, he’s a pretty good player. But the opposing GMs of the league hold him at a lower price tag. In other words, despite his contract, the 29-year-old probably won’t be the main return for a guy like Fernando Tatis Jr. or even Willy Adames.
Duran is probably coming off his best month since 2024, as he hit .261 while hitting nine home runs and walking 11 times. He also hits .277 with runners in scoring position this year, too. But his most valuable ***** et is his speed. He has a sprint speed of 29.1 feet per second, which places him in the 93rd percentile in all of baseball. It’s also shown with his doubles and triples amounts being high up in the MLB ranks. In 2024, he led both categories (48 and 14, respectively). In 2025, he led the American League with 13 triples and also had 41 doubles.

The April 12 vote was marred by disruptions, including delays in delivering ballots and the late setup of polling stations, which left thousands unable to vote. The drawn-out count fueled fraud allegations from some candidates, though European Union observers reported no evidence of wrongdoing.

With consecutive Sweet 16 appearances in its back pockets, the UNC women's basketball team continues to prove itself as a top program and ACC contender.
Courtney Banghart's Tar Heels won 28 games last season, highlighted by an upset win over archival Duke on Senior Day. North Carolina opened postseason play with its second win over Virginia Tech, then later beat Western Illinois and Maryland to begin its NCAA Tournament run.
Looking ahead to this fall, UNC just added a tough opponent to its schedule. On Wednesday, December 2, the Tar Heels will host LSU in the ACC-SEC Challenge.
Tip-off time will be announced at a later date, but this continues a recent trend of North Carolina facing SEC powers in this now-annual challenge. UNC lost at second-ranked Texas last year, stomped ranked Kentucky two years ago and played South Carolina close three seasons ago.
The Tigers, who won their first NCAA Tournament ***** le back in 2023 with now-WNBA stars Flau'Jae Johnson and Angel Reese, ended 2026 in the Sweet 16 against Duke. Kim Mulkey's squad will search for its sixth-straight Big Dance appearance, with the Tar Heels certain to be an early-season test.

Well, we have ourselves another QB debate! The sides are lining up and slinging arrows already (yours truly included). Gotta love it no? I do not know what is going to happen but we have now reached the stage of bloggers, media types, and doofuses (of doofi – also raises hand) are speculating on trading JJ. Things move fast eh?
I am going to guess that the team laughs about it internally. You cant stop the speculators from speculating. If the team, not any of us fans, decided to trade him they would eliminate any lingering summer quarterback controversy and eliminate media distractions. If Kyler starts and play most or all of the season then JJ is going to be sitting on the bench and his value will be less next year.
You can see from the links below that some “writers” are already going way too far with some of the stuff liek JJ stretching away from the other QBs. Maybe Kyler is a gassy dude? Maybe JJ had gas? Who knows? I watched Edelman talking about Moss who always stretched with the defensive linemen. It’s much ado about nothing but that is the kind of stuff that will get written all summer. Every facial expression will be **** yzed.
I think the Jets who have three first round picks next year should jump at the chance to get JJ. They might do badly and have a top pick next year but if not, then they have to hoep to be able to trade up. The Vikings were unable to trade up for Maye (I’m told). Then, what do they do? Sign Baker Mayfield is he hits the market? IDK. I think the Jets have the draft capital to make a deal.
The Jets send a 2027 2nd and a 2028 conditional 5th for JJ.

So, I have a godson who just turned 12 this year. Stay with me, it’s relevant. His father and I are both Canadian soccer fans and Azzurri supporters. (He’s a Milanista for the record, so I guess that makes us both gluttons for punishment.)
One way we refer to the lengthy amount of time that Italy have been out wandering in the World Cup wilderness is by noting that the last time they played an official game in the tournament my godson was just a few days shy of turning 4 months old. Now, if you’d told me then that that Brazil 2014 was the last World Cup I’d see Italy qualify for, and that 12 years later my godson would see Canada have more success at the tournament than Italy, and that he would not have seen Italy qualify even once? I would have looked at you like you had lobsters crawling out of your ears.
And yet here we are, in this sometimes-dumbfounding timeline.
So, when I saw that Juventus had signed Jonathan David in their latest attempt at revitalizing the attacking department, I was filled with cautious optimism. It had the makings of a great story for us in the land of maple syrup and the metric system (sometimes) — a rising star of our up-and-coming soccer nation making the jump to a stumbling Italian juggernaut to help them regain their footing as an unstoppable force. Naturally, I was filled with pride at the news, but also a little trepidation: Would he be able to lead the line and be a reference point for i Bianconeri like he had been for les Rouges?
The promise was definitely evident in his past work. David was one of the more prolific attackers in Europe, providing 28, 23 and 21 goal contributions in the 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25 seasons, respectively. That was good enough for 14th, 31st, and 43rd in Europe’s top 5 leagues for those years, according to transfermarkt.com. He was a top scorer for the Canadian men’s national team and known for his mental fortitude. There seemed to be plenty of upside and more than one reason to believe he’d be a success.

Landon Donovan thinks MLS is confusing accessibility with visibility.
The U.S. men’s national team’s all-time leading scorer said during a recent appearance on Front Office Sports’ Portfolio Players that a conversation he had with commissioner Don Garber on Tim Howard’s Unfiltered Soccer podcast stuck with him. Garber told him the league tried something new with the Apple deal, saw it wasn’t working, and made changes. Specifically, he acknowledged that requiring fans to pay $99 per year for MLS Season Pass on top of an Apple TV subscription was a significant misstep, and that the league was “way early” on its move to a streaming-exclusive model.
“He said, ‘Putting it behind a second paywall proved to be the wrong idea,'” Donovan said. “We had to adjust, and we saw what the market said, and we listened.”
The MLS and Apple renegotiated last November, scrapping the Season Pass and cutting the original 10-year, $2.5 billion deal short by three and a half years, with the agreement now set to expire after the 2028-29 season rather than 2032. The league also secured an additional $50 million under the revised arrangement, per Sportico. Every MLS game is now available to any Apple TV subscriber at no extra cost.
But Donovan’s concern isn’t the paywall. It’s that MLS abandoned linear television before it had built an audience capable of surviving without it.

For the first time since Ryle played in back-to-back state championship games in 2006 and 2007, a Ninth Region softball team will appear in the state semifinals.
Highlands came back to beat North Hardin, 3-2 in eight innings, on Saturday, June 6, at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington to punch a ticket to the season's final weekend.
The Bluebirds overcame two crucial mental errors to win their 28th game in their last 29 tries and keep their best ever season alive.
It was another battle of two of the state's top pitchers as neither Kaitlyn Dixon nor North Hardin hurler Brooklyn Carmickle allowed a baserunner until the fourth inning. Dixon flinched first though, allowing a walk and a single in the fourth inning. With runners on second and third and one out, Carmickle bounced a ball to Allie Meyers at third. She had a chance to tag the lead runner but misfired across the diamond, allowing the Trojans to take a 2-0 lead.
Highlands answered right back in the bottom of the inning as Leyla Zepf walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Morgan Pompilio immediately singled her home to cut the deficit in half at 2-1.
