Delonte West is recognized as one of the NBA's most tragic stories, having fallen on hard times after his career was cut short in 2012. However, during his playing days, the guard was prolific enough to garner attention from one of the league's best.
West famously represented teams such as the Dallas Mavericks, the Seattle SuperSonics, and the Boston Celtics during his seven-year NBA career. Still, his stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers as LeBron James' teammate is discussed more often.
Delonte West's tenure in Cleveland began after being traded to the Cavaliers by the Seattle SuperSonics during the 2007-08 season. While speaking about joining the Cavs on a Kick livestream, West revealed that LeBron James recruited him during a game between Cleveland and Seattle. He shared:
"I was in Seattle, you know, half the year; at the end of the year, they went to Oklahoma. We were playing Cleveland out in Seattle like, you know, the first month of the season, and I was cooking. Then, I remember we were sitting at the foul line, and James, he was like, 'Man, you know I've been, you know, I followed you in college.' You know what I'm saying? He's like, 'You remember that time I came to Philly at the Palestra to watch you play?' And I was like, 'Yeah, I remember.'"
"He was like, 'Man, you want to come play with Cleveland?' I thought he was just doing a veteran trick," West continued. "I thought he was just trying to get me out of my game by, you know, getting familiarity, but he was serious."

The Oklahoma City Thunder have developed their team over the decades via the usual ways most teams in the NBA have, finding special success through the NBA draft since their founding as the Seattle SuperSonics. Many of the franchise's top players have joined the team either through direct selections in the annual draft or via trades executed on that day.
On top of this, the Thunder have selected not only several star players through the draft but also a number of notable alumni each offseason. A few colleges have been more prominently represented than others in sourcing those prospects, though OKC has always cast a wide net as well. Both prestigious programs and smaller institutions have consistently contributed high-caliber talent to the Thunder's roster over the years.
So without further ado, let's take a look at every player who has been drafted by the Thunder out of Hawaii.

It was already public knowledge that there was one bidder for an NBA expansion team in Seattle: One Roof Sports and Entertainment, the majority owner of the NHL's Seattle Kraken, led by Samantha Holloway.
Now, there is a second, reports Christian Clark and John Hollinger of The Athletic:
BlackSun Private Equity, a New York-based firm that in August submitted a bid to bring the NBA back to Seattle, is working with the Tulalip Tribes to build the arena on tribal-owned land if it secures the franchise.
Those new arena plans would be in Marysville, Washington, which is about 35 miles from Seattle. The plans are not just to build an arena but also an "entertainment district" on the tribal lands. The challenge would be making the commute relatively easy and convincing people in Seattle proper to make the trip out to Marysville.
Both potential ownership groups have been eager to say they want to bring a team to stay in the Seattle area, after the previous SuperSonics were bought and moved to Oklahoma City in 2008.

On draft night, he wore a SuperSonics hat. For his NBA debut, he wore No. 0 for the newly christened Thunder. And before long, his number will hang forever wherever the Thunder plays over the decades — as a tribute to one of OKC's greatest players and most beloved sporting icons.
After 17 seasons, Russell Westbrook has decided to call it a career in the NBA. Which makes this the prefect time for a new hardcover collector's book from The Oklahoman — "ZERO REGRETS: The Legend of Russell Westbrook, the Thunder's Mr. Triple-Double."
"ZERO REGRETS" will tell the story of Westbrook's 11 incredible seasons in Oklahoma City, how he ran roughshod over opponents, how he embraced OKC when Kevin Durant turned his back, and how Thunder Nation loved him for 919 games in the blue and orange and every time he returned masquerading as a Rocket, Wizard, Laker, Clipper, Nugget or King.

"ZERO REGRETS" will have it all. The triple-double chases. The MVP season. The eight All-NBA honors. The two scoring **** les. All the winning. All the sellouts. All the drama.

There is a new voice on Husky Radio. Elise Woodward, a sports announcer for three decades and a University of Washington alumna, will be taking her place as the next voice of the Huskies.
During her college days at UW, she played basketball for the Dawgs, making captain her senior year, and then spent her Saturdays reporting from the sidelines.
She told KIRO 7 the energy at football games was a big reason she chose to attend UW.
After UW, voiced games for the Seattle Storm and the SuperSonics. She is currently the on-call broadcaster for Portland Fire.
She told KIRO 7 that she takes the role her new job plays in the UW community seriously,

Kevin Durant has been one of the league's most prolific scorers since entering the league with the Seattle SuperSonics back in 2007. Although he's known for his mid-range pull-up jumper, Durant has shot a healthy amount of 3-pointers during his career, converting on 39.2% of attempts.
The current Houston Rockets forward was recently recognized for his 3-point shooting ability, as Durant was named among the highest-rated 3-point shooters in the newest edition of NBA 2K. In a top-10 list that came out Monday, the former Texas Longhorn was ranked in a tie for sixth with a 92 3PT rating. Durant was tied with Luka Doncic and Anthony Edwards, as Stephen Curry took home the top spot.

The Houston Rockets have had players donning a total of 52 different jersey numbers (and have one not part of any numerical series for Houston ***** istant coach and general manager Carroll Dawson) since their founding at the start of the 1967-68 season, worn by just under 500 players in the course of Rockets history.
To honor all of the players who wore those numbers over the decades, Rockets Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who wore them since the founding of the team all those years ago right up to the present day.
With seven of those jerseys now retired to honor some of the greatest Rockets of all time to wear those jerseys, there is a lot of history to cover.
And for today's article, we will continue with the fourth of eight who wore the No. 17, wing alum Brent Barry. After ending his college career at Oregon State, Barry was picked up with the 15th overall selection of the 1995 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets.
The Hempstead, New York native played the first two seasons of his pro career with the Los Angeles Clippers instead. He also played for the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Seattle SuperSonics, and San Antonio Spurs before he signed with the Houston Rockets for the final season of his NBA career.
