Luciano Spalletti is a man under pressure at Juventus and calls for Antonio Conte to return as head coach are getting louder and louder following Sunday evening's 3-0 defeat at home against Lazio in Serie A.
Juventus have picked up just 11 points from their first seven matches of the 2026-27 season. They are currently one point worse off than they were at the same stage of the 2025-26 season, which led to the departure of Igor Tudor from his position as head coach after the eighth league match just shy of one year ago.

In front of the fourth-largest crowd in TDECU Stadium history, No. 20 Houston outlasted No. 18 Oklahoma State in an offensive shootout, earning its fourth consecutive victory and securing bowl eligibility with a 35-32 win.
"I really felt like we had a homefield advantage," Houston head coach Willie Fritz said. "They were loud and the student section I thought was outstanding. I appreciate everybody coming out and hopefully you saw what UH football is all about and also the experience here."
Houston never trailed after the first quarter, largely thanks to quarterback Conner Weigman. Calls for Mike McDaniels' job are only getting louder.
This time, though, Jim Harbaugh wasn't as strong in his defense of his offensive coordinator.
Harbaugh, after the Los Angeles Chargers fell 22-6 to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, said that they are going to "have to address everything, and especially offensively." The loss knocked them to 0-6 on the season, which marks their worst start since 2000. Coincidentally, Harbaugh was on that Chargers team as a player that finished 1-15 that season.
And when asked about McDaniel directly and if he was going to keep calling plays, Harbaugh said they were "going to look at everything."
"The job I'm doing, it starts with me. We'll watch this and get with our offensive coaches," Harbaugh said, via ESPN. "I see the effort, I see the work being put in in the meetings, on the practice field, and to get that to translate to the field is what's necessary. Feel bad for our players, our team, our coaches, our fans. And [offense] needs to be addressed."

"I think there's a lot of reasons we're still having this conversation," says Bush, who currently stars in Hulu psychological thriller Count My Lies and Grey's Anatomy (ABC), and is attached to reprise her role as Brooke Davis in Netflix's One Tree Hill sequel series.
"First and foremost, society only functions at the level it does because of women's unrecognized and unpaid labor. So the world is not exactly motivated to shift things in our favor because people feel like it'll come at a cost," she says. "But now we understand because of the data around those things… that if you could snap your fingers and create pay equity across gender lines—everyone would be doing better if women were doing better."
Bush cites a litany of women's rights that have been or are being rolled back. "They overturned Roe. Christian nationalism is on the rise and they don't think women should vote," she says. She points to the SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) Act and the tens of millions of married women in the U.S. the legislation would block from voting.

A newly surfaced text message attributed to Kimberly Guilfoyle appears to reveal what she really thinks of Bettina Trump. Guilfoyle and Donald Trump Jr. ended their engagement in 2024. Bettina, 39, is now his wife.
"I was having a [expletive] great time Saturday and we had a [expletive] amazing time when we got home Saturday night that's a nonsense," Guilfoyle allegedly texted Eric Deters, a former Kentucky congressional candidate, according to a Thursday, October 8 report in The Daily Beast. "That's his ex-wife's friend. It's all lies, but she's a cloud chasing horror that plays the story in the daily mail to get attention."
Deters confirmed to the outlet that the message was about Bettina.
The Daily Beast cautioned that the texts may contain typos. "Cloud chasing" could mean "clout chasing," and "plays the story" could mean "placed the story." The outlet also noted that "his ex-wife's friend" may refer to Vanessa Trump, Don Jr.'s former wife.
The message does not say which Daily Mail story Guilfoyle, 57, meant. But the publication reported on September 15, 2024, that Don Jr., 48, had been seen kissing Bettina at a brunch on August 17 of that same year. At that point, the public still believed he and Guilfoyle, now the U.S. ambassador to Greece, were engaged. The two have never publicly said when they actually split.

The line outside St. Patrick's Cathedral, where Daddy lay in state, was a mile long. One hundred thousand mourners passed by his coffin. Family and friends took turns holding vigil. The first time I witnessed that public outpouring of grief was when I accompanied Mum, along with my siblings, to a special service the night before the funeral. Mum's face, swathed in a black veil, was composed, almost serene, as we knelt to pray. The singer Andy Williams, a close friend of Mum and Daddy, sang "Ave Maria" a cappella, his resonant tenor echoing through the cathedral. I was thinking that Mary and all her angels were in the very room with us. Mum, Grandma Rose, and our aunts told us that Daddy was in Heaven and happy to be with Uncle Jack, his eldest brother, Joe, and his sister Kick. I could picture that lovely reunion. I was eight years old, and as a child had such a strong sense of Heaven as a physical place that when I flew in an airplane I chose the window seat so I could try to find Heaven in the clouds. Mum also believed Heaven was real, and she felt the full presence of God when she prayed. Her faith kept her going. It lifted us all through those awful days.

It's been an extremely busy period for Earl Charles Spencer, the brother of the late Princess Diana, who has been non-stop in promoting his very personal book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister. Following his time stateside to talk about the publication, he is back at his beloved Althorp estate and he's shared a poignant photo from the place where his sister is buried.
The Earl took to his personal Instagram Stories to share an image that he took during a moment of quiet contemplation from the edge of the Round Oval Lake, partially showing the central island where Diana is laid to rest. Pleased with his photography skills, Charles captioned the picture: "My luckiest capture of the Round Oval Lake, Althorp." The striking photo showed the sun piercing through the scattered clouds on a crisp autumn day as the mist hung around the base of the trees.

Hasan Piker came to the defense of children's entertainer Ms. Rachel after Fox News warned parents against her content, blasting the network for finding "two people who don't want children to be slaughtered" unacceptable.
The drama started on Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show," when contributor Tomi Lahren weighed in on Ms. Rachel (also known as Rachel Anne Accurso)'s past collaborations with left-wing figures, including New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
"I'd also say this person here on your screen is Hasan Piker in overalls and a stupid headband," Lahren noted during the conversation. "So, if that's what you want your kids to be watching, if that's what you want to be forming their ideas and their world view on, by all means."
As Lahren went on, she took aim at Ms. Rachel's appearance, adding, "There she looks age appropriate in that one photo."

The failed execution of Christa Pike in Tennessee on Wednesday has added new fuel to the longstanding debate over the death penalty in the United States. It has also drawn new scrutiny to the question of whether lethal injection, the nation's primary method of execution for the past 40 years, is truly a "more humane" alternative to other ways of putting someone to death.
Pike was given a death sentence in 1996 after being convicted of killing her classmate, Colleen Slemmer, in an attack she carried out with her then boyfriend. After 30 years on death row, and a last-minute legal battle that temporarily delayed her execution, Pike was scheduled to be put to death on Wednesday night.
However, the two doses of pentobarbital she was given proved not to be fatal. According to witnesses, Pike remained alive and snored loudly for 40 minutes after the drugs were administered. Eventually, the execution was called off and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Pike's attorney Randy Spivey reported Thursday afternoon that she was in critical condition and receiving "life-saving care." She was unconscious and placed on a ventilator in the hospital, according to a filing by her legal team on Friday.
Spivey admonished the state for going forward with lethal injection despite his warnings ahead of time that a blood-clotting disorder called thrombocytosis "would cause her to suffer an agonizing death." Pike's attorneys had asked the courts to permit her to die by hanging, but the request was denied.

SK Hynix is exploring something it has never done before: manufacturing memory chips in the United States.
Reuters reported on September 16 that the Korean memory giant is discussing several possibilities with Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), including leasing part of Intel's long-delayed Ohio complex or forming a venture involving Intel and large cloud customers. SK Hynix said no specific plan has been finalized.
For Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU), the talks matter because one of its strongest strategic advantages is being the major U.S.-based memory producer while AI has made DRAM and HBM increasingly scarce.
Intel has committed enormous capital to Ohio, with the broader project potentially reaching around $100 billion over time. Delays have pushed planned production into the next decade. A tenant or joint-venture partner could therefore help Intel share the financial burden of developing the Ohio site rather than relying entirely on its own foundry demand to justify the buildout.
That is the bull case. The bear case is that exploratory talks are a long way from revenue. Bringing advanced Korean memory production to the U.S. could face cost problems, technology-transfer restrictions and objections from Seoul. Intel still needs its core manufacturing roadmap to work.

On September 9, 2026, ****** og Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADI) agreed to acquire privately held Alif Semiconductor for $1.35 billion in cash, with up to $200 million in additional contingent payments. It adds Alif's low-power, AI-native microcontrollers and fusion processors to ADI's portfolio of sensing, signal-processing and power-management technology. The Alif deal therefore adds edge intelligence to an AI strategy while ADI retains substantial financial capacity to fund acquisitions and shareholder returns.
Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADI) must make enough returns to justify the $1.35 billion upfront price. The firm will pay $1.35 billion in cash at closing and could pay another $200 million in contingent consideration. It takes the potential consideration to $1.55 billion.
