On September 13, Reuters reported that Anthropic is in talks to bring NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) in as an anchor investor in what could become one of the largest IPOs in history, potentially raising as much as $100 billion at a valuation of around $2 trillion. Nvidia is reportedly considering an investment of up to $10 billion. Anthropic's annualized revenue run rate has reportedly increased from about $9 billion in 2025 to more than $65 billion by mid-2026, with the company targeting as much as $200 billion of revenue by 2028.
The strategic significance for Nvidia is greater than the potential financial return from the investment: Anthropic is a major buyer and user of AI computing infrastructure, and Reuters reported that it has committed $30 billion to Microsoft Azure infrastructure powered by Nvidia chips. Anthropic is also pursuing major capacity agreements with other providers and developing custom chips, making its future hardware choices strategically important to Nvidia.
The move would also deepen an already established relationship. NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) has previously disclosed an investment and technology partnership with Anthropic, while its fiscal 2026 filing said it had entered into an agreement to invest up to $10 billion in Anthropic. Nvidia generated $215.9 billion of fiscal 2026 revenue, up 65%, with Data Center revenue up 68%, demonstrating the enormous economic leverage of continued AI infrastructure spending.
The strongest bullish argument is that an equity investment could help NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) protect and expand one of the fastest-growing sources of demand for its GPUs. Anthropic's reported annualized revenue growth from $9 billion to more than $65 billion in roughly 18 months implies a rapidly expanding need for training and inference capacity. Its reported $30 billion commitment to Microsoft Azure powered by Nvidia systems provides a particularly direct link between Anthropic's growth and Nvidia's infrastructure demand. Anthropic is also reportedly committing $45 billion to rent AI computing capacity from Nscale, with that infrastructure expected to use Nvidia's Vera Rubin chips, indicating that the relationship can translate into future-generation hardware demand rather than being limited to Nvidia's existing products.
The investment could also strengthen Nvidia's position as AI workloads shift from model training toward large-scale inference and agentic AI. Nvidia recently said Anthropic is evaluating its Vera CPU for CPU-intensive agentic workloads, while Nvidia has positioned Blackwell Ultra and the Vera Rubin platform around the rapidly expanding inference market. Nvidia has disclosed visibility into more than $1 trillion of ***** ulative Blackwell and Rubin revenue from the beginning of 2025 through 2027, with Anthropic among the model developers contributing to that ecosystem. A successful Anthropic IPO would therefore potentially create a well-capitalized AI customer capable o

The crypto market—including Bitcoin and altcoins like XRP, Ethereum, and BNB—is riding a bullish wave of momentum in the U.S. stock market, seemingly triggered by fresh comments from the Federal Reserve, and sending short sellers to goblintown.
Bitcoin punched back above $80,000 on Thursday, trading near $80,270 and up close to 3% over the past 24 hours. Ethereum is closing in on $2,500, up 2.2% today, while XRP is up a whopping 6% in the last 24 hours. The spike has accounted for at least $327 million in liquidated short positions in the last hour alone, and more than $415 million in the past 24 hours.
The catalyst appears to be comments from Fed Governor Christopher Waller, who, in prepared remarks at a Reuters NEXT Newsmaker interview, said he'd be "inclined to support" holding the Fed's benchmark interest rate at its current level if upcoming inflation data keeps improving.
Traders took the hint. The odds of a rate hike at the Fed's September 15-16 meeting fell to 50.4%, down from 63.2% a day earlier, according to the CME FedWatch tool, a market gauge that estimates the odds of Fed moves from futures prices. The 10-year Treasury yield, a benchmark for borrowing costs economy-wide that had touched its highest level since November 2023 a day earlier, dropped to around 4.73%.
It's a sharp reversal from a week ago. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish Jackson Hole keynote had knocked Bitcoin down to $76,877 and pushed hike odds toward 56%. Thursday's bounce puts Bitcoin back at a level it's tested—and failed to hold—several times this year.

Tiger Global Management made a dramatic-looking second-quarter rotation within AI. Its August 14 filing showed the fund cutting Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) by 45.4%, from 10.63 million shares to 5.81 million, while opening a position in Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD). The trade shifts some exposure from a giant platform funding AI infrastructure to a chip supplier seeking share within it. Yet Alphabet remained a large holding, so this is better understood as rebalancing than abandonment.
A financial ****** yst presenting a chart of insurance solutions to a boardroom.
Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) still has a formidable bull case. Google Cloud grew 82%, and the company can distribute AI across search, advertising, productivity software, and enterprise services. Its models, custom chips, data, and global user base create several paths to returns. The bear case is the cost and uncertainty of defending those businesses. Capital spending is surging while AI answers may alter search economics and regulators challenge the platform's advantages.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) provides a more focused route to the same demand. Its second-quarter revenue rose 50%, with data-center revenue up 107%, as Instinct accelerators and EPYC processors gained momentum. If hyperscalers insist on multiple suppliers, AMD can grow faster than total AI spending. It also faces the harder competitive task: Nvidia's software ecosystem remains dominant, and customers developing internal chips can limit the merchant opportunity.
The filing changes the composition of Tiger's reported positions, but it does not disclose why the fund made either move. Alphabet owns demand and distribution but must prove huge investments strengthen its core economics. AMD sells into that investment wave but must win deployments against powerful alternatives. One can benefit from lower chip prices while the other needs sufficient pricing and share. Holding both, even at different weights, captures the expansion while acknowledging that value may migrate across the stack. The next confirmation should come from cloud margins and accelerator deployment growth rather than portfolio symbolism.

First Eagle Investment Management, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 investor update for "First Eagle Global Fund". The letter can be downloaded here. Easing tensions in the Middle East led to a strong rally in risk markets in Q2. The S&P 500 Index rose 15.2%, while the MSCI EAFE Index gained 10.8%. Growth stocks outperformed, with the MSCI World Growth Index significantly exceeding value returns. A notable shift in U.S. interest rate expectations followed Kevin Warsh's appointment as chair of the Federal Open Market Committee, pushing Treasury yields higher and strengthening the dollar. Despite the optimistic market environment, concerns about fiscal constraints and limited policy flexibility remain. Tighter credit spreads and elevated equity valuations reflect strong demand for financial ******* ets, with household wealth in equities at a post-WWII high. Earnings expectations are buoyant, driven by AI infrastructure developments. Against this backdrop, Global Fund A Shares returned 2.86% in Q2 2026, with emerging markets and developed Europe as the primary contributors. Developed Asia (excluding ******* an) was the only detractor, and ******* an lagged. Information technology and financials led among equity sectors, while materials and energy detracted. The fund underperformed relative to the MSCI World Index during this period. Also, check the fund's top five holdings to see its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, First Eagle Global Fund highlighted HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:HCA). HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:HCA) owns and operates hospitals and related healthcare entities. On August 31, 2026, HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:HCA) closed at $414.45 per share. HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:HCA) returned 3.42% over the past month, and its shares are up 2.05% over the past year. HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:HCA) has a market capitalization of $89.72 billion.
First Eagle Global Fund stated the following regarding HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:HCA) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"The leading detractors in the quarter were gold bullion, Charter Communications, Inc. Class A, HCA Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:HCA), Exxon Mobil Corporation and Salesforce.com, Inc. HCA Healthcare is the largest for-profit hospital operator in the US, with a difficult-to-replicate network of large urban hospitals. Although the company reported sales and profit growth for its most recent growth, HCA reported that patient volumes grew at the low end of guidance, driven partially by declines in respiratory-related emergency room visits, inpatient surgeries and outpatient surgeries. A decrease in enrollment in both Medicaid and Affordable Care Act exchanges was also a headwind. We continue to view HCA's management as an effective steward of both operations and the balance sheet as it continues to return capital to shareholders through share buybacks."

NuScale Power (NYSE: SMR) is currently the only company in the U.S. approved by regulators to build an SMR system. On a recent call with investors, CEO John Hopkins stressed that the company remains "the only SMR company in the world to have earned U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission standard design approval," adding that it has "done it for two separate designs, our 50-megawatt and our 77-megawatt modules."
Many other companies are currently working through the approval process for SMRs. But NuScale has leveraged its early approvals to secure large deals, including a 6-gigawatt project for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). If built, that system would be the largest SMR facility in the world by a large margin.

Wall Street is increasingly betting the latest jobs report will take a Fed rate hike off the table and give stocks room to climb.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics' July labor market report showed the economy lost 23,000 jobs, far short of expectations. The unemployment rate fell to 4.1% as labor force participation dropped to a near-pandemic low.
"The report suggests that the economy is seemingly slipping back toward the 'no hire, no fire' narrative that characterized the labor market through much of 2025," said Jim Baird, chief investment officer with Plante Moran Financial Advisors, in a note on Friday.
The latest report shows the three-month rolling average of job gains has fallen to just 20,000, while the six-month average has declined to a weak 44,000, noted Ameriprise chief economist Russell Price.
"There were many moving parts, but very little to like about this report," said Price on Friday. "If the job market falters, consumers and the economy might not be far behind."

On October 27, 2022, Elon Musk completed his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter. He walked into the building carrying a sink, tweeted "let that sink in," and became the owner of one of the most consequential, and expensive, platforms in media history.
Twitter, now rebranded as X, has had a turbulent run since. Fidelity marked its value down by as much as 79 percent at one point.
It has since recovered, with the platform broadly valued back around $44 billion following improved financials and returning advertisers. In other words, after two and a half years, Musk is roughly where he started.
So here is the question: what if he had split that $44 billion between Bitcoin and gold instead?
At $22 billion allocated to Bitcoin on the day the Twitter deal closed, Musk could have bought approximately 1.1 million BTC at the prevailing price of roughly $20,000 per coin. Bitcoin was deep in a bear market at the time, the FTX collapse was days away and sentiment could not have been worse.
