Ana de Armas brought dazzling high-fashion glamour to Paris as she attended the prestigious La Légion d'Honneur ceremony. The actress captivated onlookers by stepping out in an archival Louis Vuitton creation by Nicolas Ghesquière. Styled by Samantha McMillen, her shimmering look seamlessly blended rock-and-roll glam with classic French sophistication.
Ana de Armas selected a striking black sequin micro minidress from the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2015 runway collection. Designed by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, the archival garment featured a high rounded collar and structured shoulders.
Intricate lace-like sequin patterns covered the entire fabric, shimmering with every slight movement. Fitted long sleeves balanced the ultra-short hemline that barely skimmed her thighs. Thousands of delicate black sequins caught the room's warm lights, creating a dramatic metallic sheen.
Her expert beauty team complemented the bold dress with effortless styling choices. Stylist Samantha McMillen chose the vintage piece, while Owen Gould styled Ana's brunette hair in soft waves. Makeup artist Charlotte Prevel completed the look with a luminous complexion, subtle liner, and nude gloss.
The actress posed indoors before stepping out to the official Paris event. Standing near a tall glass door, she looked straight into the camera lens with calm confidence. Her reflection behind her showed off the snug fit and detailed craftsmanship from every angle.

NEW YORK (AP) — Want to know how good ****** Gould's teams were at Stanford? The answer was right there on his shoes.
Gould returned to the U.S. Open on Saturday and was honored during the first match of the night session. The longtime coach, who had John McEnroe among his many future pros, hadn't been back to the event in years but his former players wanted to celebrate him this year.
Gould wore specially designed Nike sneakers that were made for him for the occasion. White and cardinal red, one had a 17 on it, signifying his total of NCAA national championships, with his record of 776-148 on the tongue.
"I loved coaching. I really enjoyed working with the age group, especially the 18 to 22-year-olds," Gould said. "It's the first time away from their parents, and you want to be independent, and the other hand, you can't quite be, and sometimes some poor advice to help navigate things with you in a subtle way."
Gould was at Stanford from 1966-2004. Only four coaches at any level of college, men's or women's, won as many national ****** les, and his players won 17 individual NCAA championships. Some of his best, topped by McEnroe and twins Mike and Bob Bryan, went on to win multiple Grand Slam ****** les.

Another veteran receiver who had been available for months in free agency has found a new home.
Via Jordan Schultz, Keenan Allen has agreed to terms with the Colts. It's reportedly a one-year deal worth up to $8.32 million.
A third-round pick in 2013, Allen has played for the Chargers for 11 years, the Bears for one year, and the Chargers again in 2025. He has 1,055 career regular-season catches for 12,051 yards and 70 touchdowns.
Allen finished second in the Offensive Rookie of the Year voting, and he has made it to the Pro Bowl six times — most recently in 2023.
He joins a depth chart that includes Alec Pierce (who remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list with an ankle injury), Josh Downs, Ashton Dulin, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Anthony Gould, and Laquon Treadwell.

The Colts have not had Alec Pierce on the practice field at all this summer and they were missing another wideout at practice on Saturday.
Josh Downs did not take part in the session and the Colts said that he is dealing with a groin injury. They did not offer further information about the extent of the injury or how long Downs might be out of action.
Pierce is on the physically unable to perform list after having ankle surgery this offseason and head coach Shane Steichen said earlier this week that there's no timetable for his return.
Ashton Dulin, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Anthony Gould worked as the first team wideouts for the Colts on Saturday.

The Indianapolis Colts don't have the NFL's most formidable wide receiver corps.
The Colts traded Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the offseason and signed Alec Pierce to a lucrative contract extension. The rest of the expected regulars include Josh Downs, Ashton Dulin, Anthony Gould, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Laquon Treadwell, and draft pick Deion Burks.
Downs (58) and Pierce (47) combined for 105 catches in the 2025 season, and the rest 18 (including Westbrook-Ikhine's 11 for Miami).
Should the Colts trade for a speedy receiver? ESPN's Seth Walder believes the Buffalo Bills' Keon Coleman would fit in Indianapolis and ease an awkward situation in Buffalo. It's one of his five preseason trade proposals.
Coleman, the first pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, has 67 receptions and eight touchdowns in two seasons. In January, Bills owner Terry Pegula criticized the previous coaching staff for pushing the front office to pick Coleman, who remains on the Buffalo roster.

The opening day of the season is a day which is hotly anticipated across the globe as Premier League stars return to the pitches and screens.
In August 1993 - the late Freddie Mercury was at the top of the UK charts, John Major was the Prime Minister, and Micky Quinn was Coventry's hat-trick hero at Highbury.
Former ****** nal striker Bobby Gould was in the dugout for the Sky Blues as they visited Highbury for their opening game of the 1993-94 season.
It proved to be a game many Coventry fans will always remember and one ****** nal fans will want to forget.
Liverpool-born, Quinn scored all three goals in the 3-0 victory.

I guess we could start by eliminating those who would not be considered longshots. No starter from a year ago should be in that category. I would also eliminate our first two draft picks, as they are being penciled in as starters as well. As far as free agent acquisitions, Davis-Gaither has a pretty clear path to starting, as does Arden Key. Both should, and frankly need to be, to see the Colts defense improve enough to elevate the entire team.
Maybe not every starter should be being counted on as major contributors? For me, if Travis emerged as a player that you start looking at wanting to lock up, that would mean he was making a pretty huge contribution. Fending off Farmer or Goncalves, would be setting the OL up for a couple of years of strong continuity. I would call Farmer a long-shot, but just barely. I don’t think many would be shocked if he won a role, but he does have a hill to climb as a rookie.
Seeing Dulin, NWI, Gould, or Burks might be candidates, if one of them holds on to a role that many want to see a proven veteran be brought in to take. Either of our draft picks, Giddens or McGowan, would be logical choices, provided they win a role or see the field often enough to help. Seeing AR or Leonard become the starter for any stretch, would mean that something went wrong. But, should either get the opportunity and run with it, it certainly would change the narrative for 2027.
There is a decent chance that Haulcey gets the first shot at Safety aside Bynum. There are some players who might push him, or push for time as a 3rd Safety/coverage LB. Wohler, Thomas, and Owens might get some opportunities, should Haulcey not take the role by the horns. If Ward or Sauce are not on the field, we have spent unwisely. If Walley is not on the field, we have ****** umed too much. It would, however, open up a chance to see if Taylor-Britt’s experience in the defense might play well. We have seen the other candidates at corner and a leap would have to be considered in the longshot range.
Boettcher is interesting prospect. Although not truly hyped, he doesn’t have a proven player to rise above. I think if Carlies really had something, we would have seen it by now. Behind Grover, the most likely options are Wooden and Adebawore to have some impact. On the edge, JTT and Clemons are the “vets”, along with the rookies Gumbs and Curry.

Brendon McCullum's final call, like a last act of petty defiance, was to have a beer.
On the evening before McCullum was sacked as England's Test head coach, he used his authority to lift the ECB's drinking ban. "I think we'll have a quiet beer and just let this one land," said McCullum, reflecting on England's restorative 4-0 win over India which sent them to the summit of the T20 world rankings. "Just as long as no one lands on the front page."
Hours later, it was McCullum's name in the headlines. The ECB's CEO Richard Gould credited the coach for breathing "new life" into the England Test team over the past four years, but added: "The time is right to make a change as we target victory in The Ashes next summer." McCullum , who will stay on as white-ball coach, said he was "gutted ... but I respect the decision".
The hedonistic destruction of India over recent days stirred memories of those first summer days and everything that was loved about the Bazball era. Wickets, sixes, impossible numbers. Carefree cricket, the entertainers, winning wearing sunglasses and sliders, permanently in holiday mode. Beers by the pool, beers in the pool.
England had been horrendous to watch, to play for, to write about, until McCullum sprinkled some magic dust into the Test arena. He gave Stuart Broad and James Anderson a new lease of life, he made Joe Root see batting from a new perspective. Some of the cricket that followed was incredible, unthinkable: the wild run rates, the bonkers fourth-innings chases. Test cricket reached new fans, old fans, fans tired of watching England collapse in a heap.

England will consider between six and 10 names as they seek Brendon McCullum's successor as Test head coach and would like the person in place for August's series against Pakistan, says ECB chief executive Richard Gould.
McCullum, 44, was sacked as red-ball coach on Sunday after seven defeats in the past nine Tests.
England's next Test is against Pakistan at Headingley on 19 August and the team are also currently without a captain after Ben Stokes announced his retirement during the series defeat by New Zealand in late June.
Gould told BBC Sport: "It will be a targeted selection process. We often do a lot of work in terms of planning as to succession - I will always keep a shortlist going of coaches and various other positions and in truth, this position is probably one where the shortlist is no more than six to 10 names globally of a diverse nature.
"In terms of conversations, they will start to happen now and [managing director of men's cricket] Rob Key will be leading on those."

The new-look Pac-12 is preparing to kick off its first year as a full-fledged conference after holdovers of the former league, Oregon State and Washington State, operated as a twosome under the Pac-12 banner following the conference's practical dissolution after the 2023-24 season.
Beginning this upcoming season, the Pac-12 will feature Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga (basketball), Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State and Washington State. The league will also begin a new set of media rights deals with CBS, The CW, and USA Sports. CBS will broadcast a few of the league's marquee games, with the vast majority of inventory landing on The CW and USA Network.
Considering the breakdown of its media distribution, it's fair to say the Pac-12 has solidified itself as a mid-major conference. Still, the Pac-12 is likely in a position to pay its member schools more than their previous homes — mostly in the Mountain West and Sun Belt — could have afforded to pay.
We won't know exactly how much that is until some of the public schools in the conference file their financials because, at least according to Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould, it is "inappropriate" to publicize media revenues earned from the conference's new set of rights deals. Appearing on a recent episode of the Bald-Faced Truth Unfiltered show with independent college football reporter John Canzano, Gould explained her reasoning.
"I think there's a long history in our business of a lot of folks — whether it's the media, whether it's industry people — kind of focusing in on media rights numbers. And I would say a couple of things," Gould began. "Number one, media rights are one piece of the overall distribution. All money is green. All money can be spent. I personally think, number one, that it's incredibly inappropriate to be releasing numbers of agreements that we have with media rights partners that are very complex and have rights fees included, have marketing commitments included. They're not simple agreements. But I would also say, in addition to the confidentiality of the agreements we signed with our media rights partners, we prefer to focus on our entire business enterprise and the overall number that our members will get at the end of the first year, FY27. That is really the more important number than the media rights number specifically."

July 1, 2027, was a monumental day in the Gonzaga Bulldogs’ history as their athletic department officially joined the revamped Pac-12 Conference along with six other new members (plus the Washington State Cougars and Oregon State Beavers).
This will positively affect all 16 men’s and women’s varsity sports in Spokane, Washington. It will be the first time ever that all sports at the Pacific Northwest institution will have postseason tournaments within their conference.
Speaking of tournaments, the Pac-12 announced that the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Under the tutelage of Commissioner Teresa Gould, the two-year contract will span both the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons.
Next season’s tournaments will take place from March 9 through 13. The top two seeds will receive double byes straight to the semifinals. The third and fourth seeds will receive a bye to the quarterfinals. Very similar to how the West Coast Conference Tournament was run.
Not to mention the 100-percent media share that Gonzaga will receive as a full-time member of the Pac-12, despite not having a football program. Under contract, the three television networks that will be airing the conference’s sporting events exclusively are CBS Sports, USA Sports, and CW Sports.

Former captain Michael Vaughan said he will be "absolutely staggered" if there is not more leadership change in English cricket after Ben Stokes' retirement.
Stokes, 35, will play his final day of international cricket on day five of the third Test against New Zealand on Monday, having announced his shock decision on Sunday.
Stokes, coach Brendon McCullum and director of men's cricket Rob Key had all been retained in their roles by England and Wales chief executive Richard Gould after last winter's Ashes defeat.
Vaughan suggested Stokes could return to the fold if there is change at the top.
"There will be change," Vaughan told the BBC.

It's been a little over two years since Binah Capital Group went public via the merger of Kingswood Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company, and Wentworth Management Services, a broker/dealer aggregator.
Since then, CEO Craig Gould has kept his head down, working on his strategy for leading the firm going forward as well as the firm's growth and development goals. Now, a lot of those goals are coming to fruition. The firm now has $30 billion of ****** ets under management across its subsidiaries, including broker/dealers Cabot Lodge Securities, World Equity Group, and PKS Investments. The RIA firms affiliated with Binah manage over $400 billion in AUM.
Gould said that going public has allowed the firm to scale in ways it couldn't before, and it has since added some of the largest RIAs in the industry, including Merit Financial Advisors and OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners.
In a wide-ranging interview, Gould outlined his plans to make minority investments in partner firms, consolidate Binah's three corporate RIAs and acquire another broker/dealer.

Just one season is quite the long time in football, and anything can change for better or worse – for West Ham, it’s been a rollercoaster slide back to the second tier over the final 14 years with David Sullivan as joint-chair.
Following their relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the season, the 71-year-old announced that he would depart the club after 16 years in the role amid “serious historical claims” of improper conduct.
Sullivan, who denies the allegations he references, said that his departure was necessary to avoid allowing “personal matters to become an unnecessary distraction” in their bid to return at the first time of asking.
With his tumultuous time at the London club now officially at an end, FromTheSpot looks back on his run as joint-chair and eventual majority shareholder and what went so wrong right at the last.
David Sullivan and his late business partner David Gould acquired 50% of West Ham United in January 2010, a year before the club finished bottom and were relegated from the Premier League.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, the college sports industry enters one of the most exciting stretches of its calendar.
In Oklahoma City, a national champion will be crowned at the Women’s College World Series in a ***** le bout pitting rivals Texas and Texas Tech. At eight different on-campus super regional sites, baseball parks will be teeming with fans as a trip to Omaha is on the line.
And on Capitol Hill, inside a marble-walled committee room, with the future of college athletics at stake, a much different game is set to be played: the political one.
Former Alabama coach Nick Saban, Notre Dame athletic director Pete Bevacqua and Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould headline a lineup of witnesses testifying in a hearing before members of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee on Wednesday morning — perhaps the most significant of the more than a dozen hearings held here since 2020.
At the center of what’s supposed to be a more than two-hour affair is a newly introduced bill from Sens. Ted Cruz and Maria Cantwell intended to reform the college athletics industry. The “Protect College Sports Act” is the most comprehensive, bipartisan college sports legislation produced during the NCAA’s seven-year lobbying effort — and it’s a bill that many believe has the best chance to pass among those introduced.

Ariel Winter didn't just play Alex Dunphy on Modern Family — she grew up alongside her.
For 11 seasons, audiences watched Winter as the hyper-intelligent, sometimes overlooked middle child in one of television's most beloved families. When the show premiered, she was 11. When it ended, she was 22. In between, she navigated something few actors experience so publicly: adolescence unfolding in real time, in front of millions.
"It was a great chapter," Winter, now 28, tells Yahoo. "We were very lucky to have the time that we had."
That kind of longevity is rare. That kind of visibility, even more so. Perhaps it's one reason she's stayed so close to onscreen brother Nolan Gould, who remains, as she puts it, "my best friend for life."
"I grew up on [Modern Family]," she says. "I had so many amazing moments."
