During a trip down memory lane on Tuesday, August 4, Jonathan, 48, posted a throwback selfie on Instagram showing the day he filmed Carpool Karaoke with brother Drew Scott, 48, as well as his now-fiancée, 46, and her sister Emily Deschanel.
"7 years ago I met this amazing woman on carpoolkaraoke and well…the rest is history," he captioned the shot. "How many people can say their origin story was caught on video." Jonathan concluded the sweet message with laughing and heart emojis.
During the episode, the group sang along to a mix of beloved songs, including K-Ci & JoJo's "All My Life," Britney Spears' "…Baby One More Time" and Christmas classic "Baby It's Cold Outside," a fun nod to Zooey's famous role in Elf.
Although the episode aired in 2020, it was filmed the previous summer, when Jonathan and the New Girl alum's love story was just beginning.
