Speaking with PEOPLE, Winfrey shared her excitement about her latest venture.
"I feel that it is the culmination of everything I've tried to say for years," Winfrey shared. "It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in a way that allows you to feel connected to yourself, but also to everybody else who's there."
Ever since she saw U2 open the Sphere in September 2023, Winfrey says she has been "dreaming" about the concept.

The two-hour live event will feature Winfrey with special guests and performances, including multiple Grammy winner Jacob Collier, poet and author Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet and gospel singer Wintley Phipps. Winfrey opened the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in 2007 after being inspired by conversations with former South African President Nelson Mandela about the transformative power of educating girls. He was among the guests at the school's opening ceremony.
Winfrey's charitable foundation ran and funded the school, but it was always part of the agreement that the academy campus near Johannesburg be ultimately handed over to the provincial education department, the academy said.
"The dream was never simply to build a school," Winfrey said in a statement issued by the academy on Wednesday. "It was to invest in the limitless potential of young women. That mission doesn't end with one campus. It continues in every girl whose future can be transformed through education."
The academy said Winfrey's commitment to educating South African girls would continue through an expanded national scholarship program supporting academically talented girls at leading schools across the country.

A message of gratitude earned Oprah Winfrey a special gift from Queen Bey.
She told the story on the Are You Okay? web series, explaining how it all happened.
"I went to the Beyoncé Renaissance concert," Winfrey said in a clip posted to social media Monday. "I was so blown away. I wrote her a fan letter. She obviously liked the fan letter because she then sent me one of the hats from Renaissance. Beyoncé sent me a hat!"
She continued, breaking into a dance, "I sent her a letter and she sent me a hat! I sent her a letter and she sent me a hat!"
Oprah previously praised Beyoncé's Renaissance show on Instagram, writing alongside a clip of Bey onstage, "I have never in my life experienced something as transcendent as beyonce's Renaissance Tour."
