A TikTok video posted by ciearratati, which has amassed close to 815,000 views and 3,364 comments, describes a woman's preference for high-maintenance friendships. She explained that she believes real friendships are supposed to involve that level of closeness. Ciearra said her friends' needs and concerns are never too much for her to handle, and she would much rather have close, familiar friendships than distant ones.
Ciearra began by saying that once she considers someone a friend, they're never too high-maintenance for her because she will make time for them if they need to talk or video chat. Even if she just met someone the day before and they want to see her again, she doesn't mind because, in her view, that's what friends are for.
She said, "No, you're not acting like I'm your boyfriend. No, it's not too high-maintenance. No, I don't feel like you're smothering me." Ciearra continued by explaining that this level of closeness is exactly what she wants in a friendship because she thrives on the connection she has with the people she considers friends.
She explained, "This is literally what I want. I literally want to do life with human beings." She went on to say that she doesn't consider a friendship one where you barely see each other throughout the year. Instead, she believes real friends should naturally see each other more often, and she said she actually looks forward to spending time with her friends.
Ciearra stated, "No, I don't want to see you every quarter of the year. I wanna see you way more than that, actually. Why are we doing quarterly meetings? What is this, a business or a friendship?" Ciearra believes many people view real friendships as "high-maintenance" because they are used to giving and accepting the bare minimum.

Manchester United has been home to many superstars in its rich and illustrious history, perhaps none more so than Sir David Beckham, whose celebrity status has continued to rise since hanging up his boots in 2013.
After leaving United for Real Madrid in the summer of 2003, Beckham went on to play for LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain in a glittering career that spanned almost the entire world.
There is no doubt the England man was a star when he left Manchester, but his globetrotting exploits earned him even more worldwide recognition and ensured he left the game as one of the most recognisable faces to ever play the sport.
Since then, the Treble winner has delved into multiple business ventures and campaigns, one of which allowed his adoring fans access to his private life by inviting Netflix into his home through his documentary 'Beckham'.
The show walked through Beckham's career and dipped into some of his off-the-field activities with candid interviews and scenes with his family that gave us a glimpse into the life of one of the most famous men on the planet.

Marlee Matlin has worked with interpreter Jack Jason for roughly 40 years, a partnership that has made his voice familiar to audiences watching her interviews and public appearances.
On the Sept. 28th episode of The Person Who Believed in Me, host David Begnaud asked whether people ever question why a woman uses a male interpreter.
"I want people to think that I smoke five packs of cigarettes a day, and that's why I have a deep voice," Matlin joked.
Jason is also her business and producing partner. When they met, however, Matlin said she had only recently left high school and knew little about working with professional interpreters.
Matlin had just finished filming Children of a Lesser God and was living in New York with Hurt, her costar and boyfriend at the time. He was preparing for a magazine interview at their home and did not want the reporter to see them together, she told Begnaud, according to PEOPLE.

A new report suggests that Prince Harry's UK return is complicated by a single issue involving Meghan Markle. The news comes as the **** ss reportedly misses her old life and loved ones in California. After six years in California, the Sussexes moved back to the UK in August 2026 with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Since returning to Britain, Prince Harry is reportedly carrying the major burden of making sure Meghan Markle feels at home. Per the Daily Express, sources are claiming that ensuring his wife settles in comfortably has become the Duke's biggest concern.
The "Suits" actress has previously spoken openly about her difficult time living in the UK. The couple even went on to make claims about the royal family in interviews and in Harry's memoir, "Spare."
Weighing in on her current situation, royal expert Duncan Larcombe suggests that Markle may now be going through what her husband experienced after relocating to the U.S. In conversation with New Magazine, he said, "Meghan's bound to feel homesick and be missing California and her friends, especially her mum Doria, because she has been the one constant in Meghan's life over the past few years. She'll feel the same way that Harry felt when he was out there."
Larcombe further explained that Prince Harry is under considerable pressure to help his wife settle in this time around. He reportedly wants her to genuinely connect with the UK, which did not happen during their previous stay. The royal commentator noted that the Duke will be keen for her to see Britain as a true home, which will be a significant undertaking.

A woman claims she's cracked the code on identifying people you need to stay away from. In a TikTok video, Sid (sidandlisten) explained that her extensive experience watching true crime documentaries, along with her background in managing a YouTube channel that focused on true crime at one point, has given her insights into the types of people to be cautious of when dating.
"If you are dating someone and they have dead eyes, like, they. They. It doesn't express anything, and they just kind of look at you like this without moving their eyes or anything like that, and, like, there's just, like, no movement. There's no movement at all," Sid said. As she mentioned this, she stared blankly into the camera in an effort to show what the expression would look like in person.
Sid then highlighted another thing people should look out for when dating: pursed lips. "And they purse their lips like this when they're talking, and their eyes are really dead. Run!," Sid said in her video's conclusion.
Sid's video has gained more than 2 million views, with thousands of people liking, commenting, sharing, and saving it. Speaking of the comments, some people appear to agree with Sid, primarily because of their personal experience.
One person wrote, "this is 100% True. my grandma used to always tell my mum "you can tell a person by their eyes", needless to say I didn't heed this information and ended up in a relationship where I was almost part of the next true crime series…(run before they start planning to skin you alive folks LOL…)" Another person said, "girl I can see it. I used to avoid people I would meet and had an empty look in their eyes 20 even 30 years ago… you can just tell when someone is basically possessed…"

SPY trades up 14% year-to-date near $778, yet Burry calls the market in denial, which he views as the first stage before a 2000 or 2008-style collapse.
Burry's last known positions were puts on NVDA and PLTR, disclosed in November 2025, before he shut down Scion and stopped filing with the SEC.
Burry's denial stage has already started, and given his nine-month ceiling, the next phase could arrive within 270 days, possibly much sooner.
Building a portfolio and living off one are two completely different skills, and almost ******* ody teaches the second. This problem is what The Definitive Guide to Retirement Income helps, and it is free today. Read more here. (Sponsor)
Michael Burry posted a two-sentence market call on X early Tuesday, and unlike most market warnings that lack a timeline, this one gives a duration.

Prince Harry has reportedly expressed worry about Prince William's plans for Princess Diana. For context, the Duke of Sussex might make a documentary for his mother's 30th death anniversary. Now, as per a source, William has his own plans to pay tribute to the late royal, which hasn't sat well with Harry.
According to RadarOnline, Prince Harry is not happy about Prince William's plans for Princess Diana's 30th death anniversary. The Prince of Wales is reportedly considering posthumously regaining his mother's HRH style. Diana lost her Her Royal Highness style after her divorce from King Charles in 1996.
Amid this, a royal source stated that the Duke of Sussex "is raging because he feels William potentially has a card available to him that he simply cannot play." They continued, "Harry can make a documentary, give interviews and celebrate Diana's humanitarian legacy, but William is the heir to the throne and has a completely different kind of influence within the monarchy."
The source added, "If William can ultimately help restore something that was taken away from their mother, Harry sees that as an incredibly tangible gesture." The insider further noted, "A television program comes and goes, whereas putting HRH Diana back into the historical record would endure." Thus, the Duke allegedly feels this would make "anything he produces look secondary."
This is what annoys Harry, and he doesn't wish remembering his mother "to become some competition between brothers." However, the Duke "also doesn't want to feel that William has outclassed and outdone him with the one tribute Harry could never deliver himself."

Ex-Prince Andrew is reportedly fully "convinced" that he will emerge victorious in his legal case against the police. Multiple publications reported that the disgraced former Duke of York would be pursuing legal action against the Thames Valley Police over his headline-making February arrest. Notably, Andrew has demanded a judicial review of whether the circumstances of his arrest were lawful.
Ex-Prince Andrew is reportedly positive that he will win his legal case against the Thames Valley Police. For those unversed, the search warrants were issued in February over suspicions of misconduct in public office and allegations concerning his ties to convicted **** offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Now, eight months after the incident, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly pursued legal action against police who arrested him and searched his homes earlier this year. A private hearing regarding the case is scheduled for Thursday, October 8. Ahead of the hearing, the disgraced royal is "utterly convinced" he will win the legal battle (via The Sun).
A source alleged that the former Duke of York feels "upbeat" and "buoyant". Also, he is sure of the fact he will be "completely exonerated" one day. The insider added that Andrew views the judicial review as the "first step" towards clearing the allegations and restoring his reputation.
Notably, Andrew's older brother, King Charles, stripped his brother of royal **** les. The king also banished him from royal accommodation. The disgraced prince disappeared from royal life and stopped making official public appearances.

In a new book, the Supreme Court justice reflects on his "pet issue" of faith.
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, the devout Catholic conservative who has long warned of animus against religion in America, says in a new book that he believes the court's landmark decision extending marriage rights to same-sex couples was "perhaps the decisive point in our nation's turn against religious liberty."
Alito, who dissented sharply in the 2015 case, made the claim at Catholic University of America three years after Obergefell v Hodges in a speech that was not open to the public or widely covered at the time. The remarks were published this month in "So Ordered," a collection of Alito speeches that he says reflect his judicial philosophy and outlook on the country.
Seven of the 19 Alito speeches published in the book were delivered to Catholic groups.
"In dissent from that ruling," he said in the 2018 address, "I expressed my worry that equating the expression of certain views with bigotry -- or, if you like, with dignitary harm -- would drive believers out of public life."

A recent candid photo of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry going on a lunch date has sparked fresh debate online. The images show the couple holding hands in the Cotswolds, and while most saw a normal couple spending time together, one commentator sees something else in them. He questions how the pictures came about and what they might signal about the Sussexes.
Commentator Link Lauren shared his views in a video clip posted on X where he spoke about the couple's "romantic pub date" and their "first photos together since UK return." Lauren questioned how the photos were taken. "You want me to believe that a photographer just happened to catch you on a little date night in the Cotswolds?" he asked. He said Meghan Markle "allegedly" arranges such moments and also remarked that her face looked "a little bit facetuned."
He then offered his own theory. In his view, the couple licensed the pictures to an agency. "That's what I believe," he said. The commentator also looked at the photographer's website. He said it invites visitors to "earn money" by sending in celebrity photos, videos, and tips. He went on to suggest that Meghan may have even worked with the photographer.
The source noted his interpretation of the strain between the couple. Lauren pointed to Prince Harry's schedule, saying that the Duke of Sussex has appeared at several charity events without Meghan in recent times. "It's pretty much known across the UK at this point in aristocratic circles and the press. They are conscious uncoupling," he claimed.
As a result, Lauren argued that the hand-holding photos were a response to this. Meghan, he said, wanted to be seen "staking her claim" over her husband. Lauren also pointed to the couple's reported plans to split time between the UK and the US. He said that this arrangement made the public display of unity more notable.

A TikTok posted by marktilbury on July 29, 2026, shows him questioning tipping at several stops, including a hotel. The video drew about 4.2 million views and about 315,200 likes at the time of publication.
An unseen narrator records the creator at each stop. At a fast-food restaurant, the narrator can be heard asking, "Wait, aren't you gonna leave a tip?" "What for? I've served myself," the TikToker answered. He then says the payment kiosk prompted him to tip 15 percent.
He then stops at a coffee shop, where the narrator asks him again, "Okay, well, surely you tip for that coffee." Mark replies, "She didn't even crack a smile and still expects a 30% tip?" He then adds, "Absolutely not." The narrator replied, "Right."
Outside a hotel, the narrator told him, "Well, you have to tip for this valet." The creator asked, "Why? I've already paid $100 to park the car."
The narrator then pointed out that Tilbury is a millionaire. "Yeah, but you are a millionaire and this is American culture," the voice said.

Several Supreme Court Justices appeared skeptical Monday of a request from oil companies to preemptively block a climate change lawsuit that could hold them liable for climate damages.
Many of the justices raised questions about the court’s ability to even take up the case at this time.
“A number of the discussions that you’ve had with my colleagues make me think that we’re really early in this case – that this is sort of premature from the standpoint of this court exercising its jurisdiction,” liberal Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson told Suncor Energy lawyer Kannon Shanmugam.

The issue of Daniel Penny, the center of a New York City vigilante case in which he unintentionally ended the life of Jordan Neely following a subway confrontation, is the focus of a new book. Frequent MS NOW guest Anand Giridharadas is out promoting his work, Man in the Mirror.
His interviews seen during the media promotional tour do not give the impression of an unbiased approach to this topic. Instead of describing core facts and the details that pertain to the confrontation on the New York subway car, Giridharadas delivers what sounds more like a college term paper-level of pontificating.
Sitting with Christiane Amanpour, the Heat Miser-coiffed Anand offers up a theory that Neely, Penny, and others on the subway car were experiencing something that is felt across the country:
Jordan Neely, you know, a mentally ill, homeless man, felt abandoned by the systems of care. Daniel Penny felt abandoned by a lack of police and a lack of law enforcement that forced him, in his mind, to step up and step in. The passengers on that train…spoke of their own sense of abandonment and kind of being left to their own devices. And, Christiane, I think that sense of abandonment, that sense that the cavalry's not coming, the sense that we're on our own, the sense that maybe somebody does something because no one who should be doing anything is doing anything. I believe, Christiane, that is the defining political emotion of this age. It is maybe the most dangerous emotion in a democracy, because it starts to tempt people with the thought that if ******* ody's coming, I must fill the void. In this case, it was Daniel Penny filling a void in a subway in New York.
This is the selling of the concept that we need government in more, if not all, aspects of our lives. If Jordan Neely had been given proper mental healthcare and housing, if there had been police on that train car, if Daniel Penny had not felt abandoned by authorities, this tragedy would not have played out. If every person in the country is cared for by the government, we will have no problems!

A TikTok posted by creator eriniveson on July 14, 2026, shows her describing punishments she says her parents used during her childhood. The video drew over 8.7 million views and about 1.1 million likes at the time of publication.
The creator, who grew up with her mother and stepdad, begins with a trigger warning before describing what she calls "completely legal things" her parents did. "The things that I'm gonna tell you in this video are just downright cruel," she said.
She said that when something broke and no one confessed, the siblings lined up, and whoever was responsible took the punishment while the others watched. The TikToker said she often took the blame for her younger sisters so they would not get in trouble. She recalls that her stepdad usually did not carry out the corporal punishment himself, but had her mother do it when she was home and stood by to supervise.
She said her room was searched regularly. "Privacy was a privilege, not a right," she said. After her stepbrother lost $5, her parents believed she had taken it, emptied her drawers onto the floor, and made her clean up.
Even doing chores had strict rules. "Do it right or do it twice," the creator remembered. She put away dishes that had spots from the dishwasher, so her mother, who collected antique china, emptied every cabinet and buffet, and the TikToker said she had to hand-wash and dry all of it.

BURBANK, CALIFORNIA − Dhar Mann doesn't consider other digital content creators his competition.
The filmmaker behind Dhar Mann Studios, whose inspirational videos reach hundreds of millions of viewers each week, has his sights set on something bigger: Hollywood.
"I actually see other major studios as the competition," Mann tells USA TODAY during a tour of his Burbank, California, studios. "I don't really see a difference between any of the big studios and what they've built and the trajectory that we're on."
It's an ambitious outlook for a company that started nearly eight years ago in Mann's downtown LA apartment, where he filmed videos on iPhones.
Today, Dhar Mann Studios has more than 170 million followers across social media and a team of about 250 people. The content, drawing nearly 300 million views a week, has expanded beyond social platforms through partnerships with Samsung, Fox and Disney, including a recently announced 20-episode order from Disney.

Meghan Markle is reportedly planning to do another round of an explosive tell-all interview with the support of her husband, Prince Harry. For those unversed, Harry and Markle stepped down as working royals and relocated to the U.S. in 2020. The couple participated in various interviews, sharing their honest, critical thoughts on the royal family, including the Oprah Winfrey show and their self-titled documentary. This move comes after the massive uproar reportedly caused by Princess Diana's brother's memoir.
Sources close to Closer revealed that Meghan Markle wants to give a big interview, mirroring Princess Diana's 1995 Panorama interview. According to sources, the Suits star is aware that it might cause a backlash, as her Oprah interview did a couple of years ago. However, she is keen on setting the record straight, in her own words.
The source said, "Now, she thinks it's time for her to speak out again. She wants a Diana moment – in the same way that she shocked everyone with her Panorama interview." The insider explained that the Sussexes' PR team is worried that it may generate major controversy. However, Prince Harry is on board with this, as he remembers how the royal family seemingly mistreated his wife. He does not want the same for Markle and is encouraging her to speak her truth.
"He doesn't want her to feel silenced – he wants her to speak out," the source added. If Markle does go ahead with the tell-all interview, it would be another blow to the royal family's reputation after Charles Spencer's book.
For those unversed, Spencer has levied some controversial allegations against the royal family, particularly her former brother-in-law, King Charles. The Daily Mail published an excerpt detailing an explosive phone call between the king and Spencer.

Latino voters helped propel Donald Trump back to the White House. Now, they are turning on him, according to a new NBC News/Telemundo poll — a shift that gives Democrats a major opportunity to capitalize in a 2026 election that could hinge on states and districts with sizable Latino populations.
Like the broader electorate, Latino voters are racked by major concerns about high prices and Trump’s approach to immigration enforcement. The president’s approval rating sits at 27% among Latino voters. Two-thirds say his administration’s deportation policies have gone too far and three-quarters disapprove of how he has handled the economy and the cost of living.
There are clear signs his party is paying the price.
A greater share of Latino voters hold negative views of the Republican Party than at any time since 2016, and Democrats have leads on issues like dealing with the economy, immigration, the cost of living, corruption and healthcare. Two years ago, Latino voters gave Trump a 4-point edge over then-Vice President Kamala Harris on handling the economy. Today, they give Democrats a 21-point advantage on the same question.
Against that backdrop, Democrats have a 24-point lead on whom Latino voters want to see in control of Congress, 59%-35%.

Dakota Johnson opened her third turn hosting Saturday Night Live on Oct. 3 by talking about her love life, starting with her "two very public, very lame breakups with two very awesome musicians."
Then her "literal therapist" walked out.
It was Taylor Swift, and she turned down the job on the spot.
"I'm not your therapist, actually," Swift told her. "You just show up once a week at my house with an empty bottle of wine and ask if I want some."

As a long-time host of "The View," Joy Behar is known for her outspokenness, which sometimes causes scandals, such as dragging Melania Trump when insulting Donald Trump. Other than her political views and wild on-show feuds, Behar is recognized for her polished looks behind the desk. The TV personality has been vocal about her signature, face-framing blowout and the fact that she's not a natural redhead. While Behar isn't hesitant to discuss any cosmetic changes, she's also not afraid to wear a makeup look that's more minimal than her usual television glam.

In August 2026, Behar went to ****** town Kitchen in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The TV host, wearing an all-black outfit, posed with ****** town Kitchen's owner Willy Garcia for the restaurant's Instagram post. Behar kept her makeup simple by wearing gray eyeshadow and a red lip. Overall, Behar's skin looks amazing in her 80s. Her forehead, chin, and cheeks seem smooth. Her cheeks also look plump for someone in their twilight years, which could be a result of having good skin and investing in nonsurgical skin treatments. She also wore her hair down without the volume that fans of "The View" are used to seeing on screen.

Cornell University police spoke to witnesses and received anonymous tips about an alleged gang rape at a fraternity house in the first weeks of its investigation two years ago, but the local prosecutor did not review the additional information before deciding not to bring charges.
Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten said he based his decision not to pursue charges on the accuser’s initial six-page statement given to police.
Investigators from the campus police department documented those witness interviews and other steps taken to determine whether Jane Doe, a 20-year-old woman who reported the incident, was the victim of ***** ual ***** ault during a party at the Chi Phi house from Oct. 19 to 20, 2024, according police records obtained by NBC News.
Documents reviewed by NBC News offer the most thorough look to date at how police handled the allegations from Jane Doe, who last month filed a lawsuit against Cornell University and seven Chi Phi brothers who she alleges ***** ually ***** aulted her over the course of hours while she was under the influence of ketamine, alcohol and marijuana.
Van Houten, along with police and university officials, has come under intense fire for their handling of the matter. Jane Doe’s attorney has argued that she was failed by authorities who did not conduct a thorough investigation and who prejudged the events based on her earlier statement that she consented to parts of the night.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, put dozens of strangers through one of his outrageous tests: How long can people stay in a grocery store to win $250,000? One contestant, Juan Garcia, managed to do it and took home far more than he bargained for after spending over 200 days in the store.
Back in April, MrBeast uploaded a video to his channel ******* led "Last to Leave Grocery Store, Wins $250,000," and in the months since, the video racked up over 200 million views.
At the start of the video, MrBeast tells his audience he just bought a grocery store and uses the store's intercom to announce that the last person to leave wins the $250,000 prize pot (kept in a comically large gold shopping cart). Some shoppers immediately left with a bounty of groceries that MrBeast told everyone were free; others began to strategize, building forts and stockpiling food.
After 67 days, with only four contestants left, MrBeast decided to shake things up and gave them an ultimatum: If they decided to stay, he'd restock the entire grocery store, and the four of them had to eat all the groceries – if they were able to do so, they could split a $1,000,000 prize. They decided to stay, and the video ended on a cliffhanger, leaving fans wondering where the new video would be for months.
Today, MrBeast and his team finally released the second part, ******* led "Eat Everything In A Grocery Store Win $1,000,000."

A newlywed groom is in less hot water than you'd think after saying the name of his new bride's sister at the altar by mistake.
On Sunday, September 20, TikTok user emmagraceshay posted a cringe-worthy video from her wedding day in which her now-husband is vowing to take his new bride in sickness and in health, only to make a pretty legendary gaffe.
During the moment, he calls his wife "Emily Grace Pumfrey," forcing her to quickly correct him because her name is actually Emma. While it's not exactly a difficult slip-up to go from "Emma" to "Emily," even in a high-stakes moment like a wedding, the caption of the video reveals the most shocking part of the whole ordeal.
"Plot twist: It's my sisters name. Still not over being called Emily at the altar," Emma wrote.
Since posting the video, it has gained millions of views and plenty of opinions from people who watched it, with many saying they would have stopped the entire wedding and dumped the man right then and there. Meanwhile, others note the good humor with which the bride took the blunder, as she's seen in the video laughing as she corrects her fiancé.

This summer, we took a family vacation to Oregon to hike in the Pacific Northwest. Not surprisingly, we saw a bunch of people decked out in clothing made by Columbia, the huge sportswear company founded in Portland in 1938, and named for the nearby river.
We also saw a lot of people wearing Patagonia clothes. Named after the vast geographic region at the southern tip of South America, shared by Argentina and Chile, Patagonia was founded by climber Yvon Chouinard in 1973 to provide durable climbing equipment and outdoor wear. The company heavily supports environmental causes and donates profits from the sale of their jackets, fleeces and other gear to ecological protection. The company even sued President Trump in 2017, for shrinking federal lands protections.
In addition to environmental causes, Patagonia has also championed the LGBTQ community by partnering with the Human Rights Campaign to oppose state legislation targeting their rights. This summer, though, the company sued one member of that community.
Wyn Wiley is an activist from Bend, Oregon, who focuses on environmental and LGBTQ+ issues, promoting acceptance of queer identities in the environmentalist and outdoors communities, and promoting awareness of climate change and its effects.
In October of 2018, Wiley created the character Pattie Gonia and produced short-form outdoors activism content on Instagram and TikTok, while dressing in drag. The first posted video garnered more than 100 million views. Pattie Gonia has 1.8 million Instagram followers and claims to have raised $3.7 million for environmental causes, including $1 million raised last year on a 100-mile hike. In 2022, Pattie Gonia partnered with The North Face, another outdoor gear juggernaut, for their 2022 "Summer of Pride" series, which consisted of outdoor community-building events focused on local LGBTQ+ engagement and acceptance.

A new biography about Tom Brady includes details about the end of his marriage to Gisele Bündchen. "Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness" was written by sports journalist Lars Anderson and released on Sept. 29, 2026.
The book draws on more than 350 interviews with people who knew Brady on and off the field. It includes accounts about the couple's marriage and their 2022 divorce. Bündchen has previously said the reasons for their split were more complicated than reports that linked it primarily to Brady's football career.
Anderson's biography examines Brady's life beyond his record-setting football career. Publisher Celadon Books says the author conducted more than 350 original interviews with people who knew Brady on and off the field. The book explores his childhood, career, family life, and retirement.
It also examines what Anderson presents as the personal cost of Brady's intense commitment to football and his pursuit of success. The marriage receives considerable attention because it overlapped with some of Brady's biggest professional achievements. Brady and Bündchen married in 2009 and remained together for 13 years before finalizing their divorce in October 2022.
They share a son, Benjamin, and a daughter, Vivian. Both described the divorce as difficult while emphasizing that their children would remain a priority as they moved forward separately.

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. — Vice President JD Vance acknowledged Thursday that Republicans face an “uphill climb” in next month’s midterm elections — and that the results may be a data point he reviews as he decides whether to run for president in 2028.
“Historically there’s always a bit of an uphill climb, and I think you definitely sense that,” Vance said in an interview with NBC News. “I also think you can sense a sense of cautious optimism, in the sense that, you know, people feel like the numbers are sort of moving, maybe in our direction.”
He added: “Politically, there’s just a recognition that it’s always going to be hard to win a midterm when you have the White House, the Senate and the House.”
Vance spoke aboard Air Force Two shortly after it landed on a return trip from Lakeland, Florida, where he campaigned for Sen. Ashley Moody and Rep. Byron Donalds, the Republican nominee for governor. It was his latest headlining gig at a rally meant to boost support for the party’s candidates in what is expected to be a challenging year for the GOP.
Aside from the historical trends Vance mentioned, polls have shown President Donald Trump and the war in Iran highly unpopular among voters. A related rise in gas prices has added to a cascade of affordability concerns. And Americans are growing more skeptical of artificial intelligence and the large, power-hungry data centers being built to accommodate the technology. All of those issues could factor into voters’ choices in this fall’s key races for the House, the Senate and governor.
