Interested in Qualcomm Incorporated? Here are five stocks we like better.
Qualcomm trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of just 22, well below rivals like NVIDIA, Broadcom, and AMD, despite its ties to the AI boom.
Analysts, including Rosenblatt Securities with a $235 price target, see upside from Qualcomm's expansion into AI data centers, automotive chips, and on-device AI processing.
Apple's shift to in-house modem chips and a sluggish Android market in China threaten to offset Qualcomm's diversification gains, keeping its consensus rating at Hold.
There's a certain irony in a stock that has just rallied hard still being written off, yet that's exactly where chipmaker Qualcomm Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM) finds itself right now. After a brutal 44% slide through much of the summer, its shares staged an impressive comeback, climbing around 30% since the start of August.

On September 2, Michael Genovese from Rosenblatt Securities reiterated his Neutral rating for Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd (NASDAQ:CRDO). The **** yst increased his price target for the stock from $215 to $235, which implies upside potential of almost 38% as of September 4 closing. Genovese's upward adjustment in price target in based on the company's recently announced Q1 FY27 results, leading him to increase his projections for FY27 and FY28. Despite that, he has a Neutral stance because he still wants more visibility around the company's ZeroFlap Optical Transceivers proof points, as well as the incremental revenues from its acquisition of Dust Photonics in May.
Photo by Yogesh Phuyal on Unsplash
Credo's acquisition of DustPhotonics gives it a vertically integrated connectivity stack covering DSP, silicon photonics, SerDes and system integration. This allows the company to tap into both optical and electrical interconnects across the entire AI infrastructure buildout. Together with its optical DSPs and ZeroFlap transceivers, the deal is expected to be a key growth driver in FY27, supported by resilient hyperscale customer sentiment.
Following the DustPhotonics transaction, Credo reported a strong first quarter for FY27. Topline of $479 million jumped 115% compared to Q1 in FY26. Adjusted non-GAAP net income of $236.3 million was up 140% year-over-year, as the company broadens its connectivity portfolio stack. It now spans copper and optical solutions, ranging from millimeters to kilometers, which enables Credo to meet the scaling needs of AI infrastructure with energy-efficient and reliable products.
For FY27, Credo expects a strong inflection with optical revenues expected to exceed $600 million. Management projects contributions over $100 million each from silicon photonics, ZeroFlap optics, and optical DSPs. Full-year revenue growth is expected to be over 85% year-over-year. Adjusted gross margins are likely to remain consistent with fiscal 2026 levels, along with adjusted net margins of around 50%.

Jets' search for quarterback leads to workout with second-round draft bust originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The New York Jets are in the market for a quarterback for their practice squad and that has led to them working out two signal-callers on Thursday, one of which is a former second-round draft pick.
According to The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt, the Jets worked out quarterbacks Will Levis and Jack Plummer.
While the Jets could certainly use more insurance at quarterback on their 53-man roster, Rosenblatt notes New York is looking for a practice squad quarterback instead.
New York's current quarterbacks room includes Geno Smith and rookie Cade Klubnik, but the Jets don't have a signal-caller on the practice squad.

John Ternus has officially taken over as CEO of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), succeeding Tim Cook after his successful 15-year run. With Apple's next major iPhone launch scheduled for September 9, it seems the new CEO has only eight days till his first big test.
On September 1, Rosenblatt **** yst Barton Crockett raised the price target on Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) to $303.00 (from $300.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating on the stock. The price target hike implies roughly 4% downside from current levels.
Rosenblatt's note **** umes successful navigation of supply chain constraints under the new CEO. Price hikes and premium priced products, in particular, are likely to offset margin pressure.
Ternus's test isn't that Apple can generate cash. The tech giant is already strong, with Cook having transformed the company from a $350 billion company to a $4.5 trillion behemoth. His test is instead to prove that there is enough new growth and product innovation to sustain Apple's valuation.
The tech giant has already had a record June quarter. Revenue for the company rose 16% year-over-year to $109.4 billion, whereas diluted EPS increased 29% to $2.02. IPhone and Mac revenue reached June-quarter records, while the installed base surpassed 2.5 billion active devices.

Marvell Technology (MRVL) keeps winning over the **** ysts. GF Securities reiterated its favorable view on the stock, naming it a top pick within its positive outlook on custom AI chips. **** yst Henry Huang said much of the growth he sees comes from Alphabet's (GOOG) (GOOGL) Google. He expects three of Marvell's chip lines tied to Google to bring in around $3 billion each by 2028. Huang also sees Marvell playing a growing role in Amazon.com's (AMZN) Trainium chips, worth roughly $1 billion this year and $2 billion next year. GF was not alone. Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, Susquehanna, and Rosenblatt Securities all raised their Marvell price targets within a day of each other.
None of this comes out of nowhere. Just a few days back, Marvell signed a custom chip deal with Google that let the search giant take a potential $12 billion equity stake in the company. Huang expects that partnership to improve Marvell's odds of winning even more of Google's future chip work.

The second price target hike comes from Susquehanna, which raised its target to $265 from $230 while maintaining a positive rating on the stock. According to Rosenblatt's Scott Devitt, Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN)'s leading position in artificial intelligence remains underappreciated. This bold claim was made in a recent research note on August 19, where Devitt initiated coverage on the stock with a $335 price target.
The firm anticipates AWS to exit 2026 at a 45% growth rate, compared with the Street's 38% expectations. The firm further noted that AWS is seen on a path to $335 billion by 2028.
The AWS acceleration claim is supported by recent numbers. AWS growth has climbed for five consecutive quarters, from 17% in Q2 2025 to 37% in Q2 2026. This strengthens the argument that AI demand is adding another growth cycle. Amazon's Q2 fiscal 2026 results filed July 30, 2026 also showed AWS accelerating to $42.23 billion, its fastest pace in 18 quarters. AWS backlog, meanwhile, stood at $496 billion, growing triple digits year-over-year. The company's AI and Chips businesses also each cleared $25 billion annualized run rates in Q2 with triple-digit growth.
AWS's 37% growth may be the best it has gained in years, but it is still the slowest of the Big Three hyperscalers. Google Cloud grew 82%, Azure grew 43%, while AWS grew 37%. AWS grew at less than half the pace of Alphabet Inc.'s (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google Cloud unit, and also trailed behind Microsoft's Azure.
Google Cloud's 82% growth is not a one-quarter spike, rather, the unit also witnessed growth of 63% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2026. For Azure, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) only posts the growth rate, and revenue for the full fiscal 2026 cross $100 billion, putting it behind AWS and ahead of Google Cloud. Looking at the growth percentages, it seems that AWS is the laggard of the three. However, AWS brings in far more revenue overall. It brought $42.2 billion in revenue last quarter, putting it on a $169 billion annualized run rate. This makes AWS larger in size, and its also adding more actual dollars in revenue than Google Cloud each quarter because of its much larger base.

Shares of Micron Technology and Sandisk have clocked phenomenal returns over the past year, primarily due to the mission-critical role of the memory chips produced by them for running artificial intelligence (AI) workloads in data centers.
Faster memory chips and larger storage help solve a key bottleneck in AI data centers by enabling the rapid transport of large volumes of data to data center accelerators. As a result, accelerator chips, such as graphics cards and custom processors, don't have to sit idle and waste energy. However, a closer look at the AI infrastructure ecosystem makes it clear that memory isn't the only bottleneck impeding accelerator performance.

The rapid transport of data has created an incredible demand for optical networking components, which use light to quickly transmit massive amounts of data over long distances via fiber-optic cables. Investment banking and brokerage firm Rosenblatt Securities estimates that optical component companies could increase production capacity by 12x between 2025 and 2030.
However, even that won't be enough to meet the booming demand for optical components. Rosenblatt predicts that supply will trail demand by 50% in 2030 despite the massive increase in production through the end of the decade. This explains why optical and photonics components supplier Lumentum Holdings (NASDAQ: LITE) has been experiencing incredible growth in revenue and earnings.

Jets reveal good news amid 2-3 week injury update for Breece Hall originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The New York Jets saw Breece Hall go down at practice on Monday, and there was some real concern, as it was seemingly a non-contact injury for the star running back.
Fortunately, it wasn't a season-ending issue, as Hall injured his groin, and the reporting from the Jets wasn't a huge concern. He'll miss time, but not a lot of it.
According to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, the latest update revealed his timeline, with Hall set to miss 2-3 weeks. But, most importantly, he'll be ready for the regular-season opener.
"Breece Hall will be out 2-3 weeks and will be ready for the regular season, Aaron Glenn said," Rosenblatt reported.

It's hard to toss a rookie onto the field with an entire roster's worth of NFL veterans and have them emerge looking like the best player out of the bunch. But that's reportedly been the case for New York Jets defensive end David Bailey this preseason, and it continued on Tuesday.
Zack Rosenblatt, who serves as a senior writer with The Athletic covering the New York Jets and the NFL at large, was in attendance at the joint practice session between the Jets and Buccaneers on Tuesday and reported that "there's an argument" that Bailey was the best player on the field across both teams. He also showered Bailey with some lofty praise after watching him throughout the preseason so far.
"I've been covering the Jets for five seasons, and the NFL for nine. In that time I'm not sure I've seen a rookie that was appointment viewing quite like Bailey," reported Rosenblatt.
Bailey was the second overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft after being named a unanimous All-American and the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year during his senior season at Texas Tech in 2025. He recorded 52 tackles (19.5 TFL), 14.5 sacks, three pass deflections, and three forced fumbles while anchoring a Red Raiders defense that made a run to the College Football Playoff.
For a Jets team that needs answers fast in Aaron Glenn's second season in charge of the program, a player of Bailey's caliber could go a long way in helping the team get turned around from their troubles last season. And early in camp, he could live up to that hype and make a major impact as a rookie. And if Rosenblatt is correct, Bailey might not just make an outsized impact, but end up being one of the best rookies we've seen this decade in the NFL.

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:AAOI) is one of the best performing AI stocks over the last 3 years, with a 3Y CAGR of 144.7%.
On June 21, Rosenblatt Securities ****** yst Michael Genovese reiterated a Buy rating and maintained a $220 price target. The firm's documented thesis has centered on Amazon-related 800G revenue, potential Oracle qualifications and a product mix spanning 100G, 400G, 800G and 1.6T connectivity. That view is supported by more than $324 million of reported orders for 800G and 1.6T products tied to hyperscale demand. That backlog makes execution the focus. Orders and customer qualifications must convert into shipments, while higher volumes need to improve profitability and cash flow. AAOI's vertically integrated manufacturing model can help with cost and supply control, yet rapid capacity expansion creates its own operational burden.
Customer concentration is another important consideration, as a delayed qualification or a changed deployment schedule can materially affect results. Rosenblatt's reiteration indicates confidence in the optical ramp, while the order base provides a measurable benchmark for subsequent delivery.
Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:AAOI) designs and manufactures optical networking products, including lasers, transceivers and related equipment for internet data centers, cable television networks, telecommunications and fiber-access markets.
While we acknowledge the risk and potential of AAOI as an investment, our conviction lies in the belief that some AI stocks hold greater promise for delivering higher returns and doing so within a shorter time frame. Rosenblatt Securities **** yst Chris Brendler thinks the recent selloff in HPC-linked stocks was overdone, nodding his head to two former Bitcoin miners making the pivot into AI Galaxy Digital (NASDAQ: GLXY) and Cipher Digital (NASDAQ: CIFR).
GLXY had fallen 22% over the prior two weeks while CIFR dropped 13%, at time of the notes publication on July 2. As of press time, GLXY and CIFR are down on the day, trading hands at $25.14 and $20.98 respectively.
The selloff intensified after Bloomberg reported on July 1 that Meta Platforms was building a cloud operation aimed at outside customers, with AI compute capacity and models part of the plan. The move raised concern that Meta could become a competitor in the neocloud stack alongside its role as a customer. CoreWeave-linked names bore the brunt of the selling, with CoreWeave itself falling nearly 14% that day.
Brendler dismissed the fear. "We view this reaction as overdone," he wrote, adding that the firm does not view the Meta news "as a negative demand signal." He pointed to Rosenblatt colleague John McPeake's **** sment that the Meta story appeared company-specific, driven by the social media giant's need to justify large capital expenditure, with no indication of a shift in contracted demand.

Comcast Corp (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is one of the Top 10 Extreme Value Stocks To Buy Now. Comcast Corp (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is one of the top extreme value stocks to buy now. On June 30, Rosenblatt Securities upgraded the stock to Buy from its previous Neutral rating while also upgrading the price target from $24 to $31. The rating upgrade follows the company's surprise announcement that it plans to spin off NBCUniversal into a separate publicly traded company. The firm believes that investor concerns about Comcast's cable business are beginning to ease, as fears about increasing competition from ******* eX appear overstated.
Moreover, the company is planning to offer more affordable and consumer-friendly packages, a strategy that could strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive market.
