Everyone is saying the same thing about Prince George.
The future king was spotted in Spain with father Prince William on Tuesday, Nov. 3, as the royals took to their seats to watch their beloved soccer team Aston Villa take on Barcelona. Both donned dark, casual clothing for the match which took place amid heavy rainfall.
Royal watchers swiftly took to social media to comment on how grown up George, who turned 13 in July, looked.
"Prince George looks like a young man! He is growing up so quickly," read one of many posts on X. "Cannot believe how tall Prince George is getting," read another.
Photos taken of George at royal events over the summer show that the prince is almost the same height as mom, Princess Kate, who is 5 feet, 9 inches. Now, he appears to be catching up to his father, who is 6 feet, 3 inches.

Coco Gauff returned to the scene of her grand slam breakthrough on a rain-lashed Tuesday night and safely cleared the first hurdle toward another, launching her pursuit of a second US Open ******* le in four years with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Turkey's Zeynep Sonmez beneath the closed roof of Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The 22-year-old American, seeded fourth in New York, arrived with momentum and expectation running particularly high, fresh off her first ******* le of the year in Cincinnati and having shown encouraging signs that the serve which has so often dictated the rest of her game is becoming a more reliable weapon. Now, three years after she first lifted the trophy here, both a third major championship and the world No 1 ranking are within her reach.
Gauff got off to a confident start before a buzzing crowd, crunching a pair of early aces in a love hold, but the 54th-ranked Sonmez held her own in the muscular baseline exchanges throughout the opening five games. Gauff took control in the sixth, breaking her opponent's serve without dropping a point, then steadied herself through an uneven service game to move to the brink of the set at 5-2. Sonmez held to prolong it, but Gauff calmly served it out after 33 minutes as the heavy rainfall pounding the roof overhead reverberated through Ashe like the inside of a bass drum.
The second set was less straightforward. Gauff broke immediately and appeared poised to pull away, but Sonmez responded by attacking the net and taking advantage of a sudden dip in the American's level, breaking back for 2-all with a searing backhand winner. Gauff then had to dig out of a marathon 16-point service game at 2-3, saving three break points before finally escaping with a 115mph ace down the middle to complete the hold for 3-all. "I knew if I could hold that game, I felt confident breaking the next game," Gauff said.
That proved prescient. Sonmez double-faulted twice in the next game to surrender the critical break, before Gauff consolidated for 5-3 and shortly after held at love to close the show after 1hr 20min.

The Prince and Princess of Wales moved into their 'forever home', Forest Lodge, in November 2025, with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Similarly to many other UK households, the family will be struggling to keep their garden thriving due to the extreme heatwaves and imposed hosepipe ban.
They undoubtedly have a gardening team on hand to work on their outdoor ****** e, but they too will be banned from using any hosepipes to water the lawn, hedges and flowers.
However, if when the family moved in they planted new trees, these could be excluded from the ban. As "trees planted within the last three years" are permitted to be watered with a hosepipe, according to the Thames Water website.

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Romania raced on Thursday to sink four barges laden with rock into the Danube River in an attempt to redirect water downstream toward a nuclear power plant, to buy more time before its second reactor is likely forced offline due to record-low water levels.
Extreme heatwaves and low rainfall across the region have left the Danube at record lows over the past week, forcing the shutdown of a reactor at Romania's Cernavoda nuclear plant last week. The state-owned nuclear power plant accounts for about 20% of the country's electricity generation when fully operational and uses river water to cool its reactors.
The four barges were loaded with rock that Romania's military blasted from the river this week using explosives near the Danube's Bala Canal. Once submerged, the barges will create an underwater barrier to redirect the water down the river's main channel and toward the Cernavoda plant.
Speaking to local news channel Digi24, the plant's director Romeo Urjan said Thursday the Danube's water level had decreased about two centimeters (0.7 inches) from Wednesday to Thursday and that, without sinking the barges, the plant's second reactor would likely have to be shut down in five to six days.
"If the installed barges bring surplus water ... instead of five to six days, we will talk about nine to 10 days of operation from today onward," he said.

Justin Verlander’s right arm was a gift to the game. And most notably to the Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros.
The former drafted him and threw him into Major League Baseball’s deep end shortly thereafter, while the latter became his second home after a late-career trade that saw him refine his craft, ratchet up his dominance and become a World Series champion.
The 266 wins, 3,554 strikeouts and three Cy Young Awards are more than enough evidence his Cooperstown case is airtight. Yet Verlander, who announced Wednesday, July 8 that he will retire after this season, was so much more than just the numbers.
Sure, he had his share of big-game failings — 556 career starts and 10 trips to the postseason will bring its share of rainfall — but Verlander also stood tall when it mattered most countless times.
Here’s five moments that defined Verlander’s nearly peerless career:

NEW DELHI, July 3 (Reuters) - India's coal-fired power generation surged to a near-three-year high in June because of increased cooling demand from higher temperatures from an extended heatwave and below-average monsoon rainfall, government data showed.
India's total electricity generation in June rose 10.4% from a year ago to 178.31 billion kilowatt‑hours, according to Reuters calculations of daily data from federal grid regulator Grid-India.
Coal-fired power generation rose about 14% year-on-year to 120.20 billion kWh in June, the highest since November 2023, the data showed.
Last month, India logged its fifth-driest June since 1901 due to a strong El Nino pattern, with searing heat driving demand for cooling, according to weather office data. The El Nino is a weather phenomenon caused by a warming of the Pacific Ocean waters off South America that tends to cause hot, dry weather in South and Southeast Asia.

El Niño has formed in the Pacific Ocean and is expected to intensify in the coming months, meteorologists say.
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said on Friday that El Niño conditions have developed in the tropical Pacific and could "strengthen rapidly".
"El Niño conditions are already underway and are forecast to strengthen rapidly into a strong event, as accurately anticipated by WMO forecasts," said WMO Secretary-General Celeste Saulo. "This will intensify the chances of drought and heavy rainfall and the risk of heatwaves on land and marine heatwaves in many regions of the world."
It said latest data indicated a "rapid development" into a strong El Niño event during July–September 2026
Last month, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration officially confirmed the arrival of El Niño, a prolonged period of warming sea surface temperatures in the central and eastern Pacific, which affects weather patterns across the globe.

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Cricket ****** ociation (UPCA) is likely to shift the upcoming Uttar Pradesh T20 League from Green Park Stadium in Kanpur to the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, barely weeks after announcing Kanpur as the host venue.
The UPCA had, during a press conference in Kanpur on May 13, declared that the fourth edition of the league would be held at Green Park.
However, the decision was reviewed following a technical ****** sment of the venue ahead of the tournament, scheduled to be held in Aug.
UPCA sources claimed that the stadium’s ageing infrastructure, inadequate floodlighting, limited spectator capacity and concerns over rain-related disruptions have prompted the change of venue.
“Since the conclusion of the India-Afghanistan international match, UPCA officials have been carrying out a comprehensive technical ****** sment of the playing conditions at Green Park Stadium in view of the proposed three-week-long tournament,” a source said.
The ****** sment found that the existing floodlighting system falls short of the standards required for televised matches. “The broadcasting team requires a minimum illumination of 1,700 lux for high-quality telecast, whereas the existing floodlights at Green Park generate only around 1,400 lux,” he said.
The ****** ociation also cited a recent report by the public works department restricting the stadium’s spectator capacity to around 14,000, significantly lower than its earlier capacity, creating operational and commercial constraints for the organisers.
Another major concern was the stadium’s vulnerability to waterlogging during the monsoon. Green Park has been struggling with inadequate drainage, resulting in delays in restoring playing conditions after heavy rain.
With the tournament scheduled during the peak monsoon season and forecasts indicating prolonged rainfall in Aug, officials fear repeated interruptions over the three-week tournament.
UPCA sources said the combination of technical, infrastructural and weather-related challenges left the organisers with little option but to relocate the tournament to Ekana Stadium, which offers superior drainage, modern floodlighting and significantly higher seating capacity.

What to know about the predictions for a potentially record-breaking El Nino
Seasonal models are predicting an El Nino climate pattern that could be the strongest on record, bringing with it more extreme weather.
“I think we’re going to see weather events that we’ve never seen in modern history before,” WFLA-TV Chief Meteorologist and Climate Specialist Jeff Berardelli, in Tampa, Florida, said Friday.
An El Nino event is expected to develop from the middle of this year, impacting global temperature and rainfall patterns, according to the World Meteorological Organization. While the models indicate that this may be a strong event, the WMO cautioned that the models also have a harder time making accurate forecasts in the spring.
El Nino is a cyclical and natural warming of patches of the equatorial Pacific that then alters the world’s weather patterns. Its counterpart, La Nina, is marked by waters that are cooler than average.
Berardelli said an El Nino event essentially redistributes heat on Earth. Currently, the subsurface heat in the Pacific is moving east across the ocean and ascending to the surface from the deep waters, the initial stages of El Nino.

In early November, a massive storm hit farmers and residents in the Great Southern and Wheatbelt regions of Australia. Unfortunately, the damage to crops, roads, and buildings has been extensive.
According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, heavy rainfall and hail caused extensive flooding and damage across multiple towns. Farmers, in particular, faced partial or total crop loss, interrupting the grain harvest.
Some towns reported over 100 millimeters of rainfall during the "unbelievable" storm. Meanwhile, farmer Murray Hall was on the road at the time and wondered whether the large

This lake vanished from Death Valley 10,000 years ago. It's started reappearing.
Here’s what you’ll learn when you read this story:
Lake Manly hasn’t been a permanent fixture in Death Valley since the Ice Age, but recently, it has reappeared.
Record rainfall at the California site has allowed enough water to collect in the ancient lakebed.
The lake sits in Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level.
A deluge of record rainfall has turned North America’s lowest point back into the lake it was during the Ice Age—even if just for a short moment in time. T
