Former Charlotte Hornets big man Kai Jones has gained some social media traction this week for his off-court actions, and not for the first time. On this occasion, though, it is not for anything controversial. Not unless you are easily offended by footwear choices and excessive amounts of ****** ons.
A clip shared on social media showed Jones celebrating at his own wedding reception, enthusiastically throwing himself with his new wife into a choreographed dance routine that seems both cheesy and kind of heartwarming. Complete with synchronised moves, exaggerated arm swings, a sharp white suit and an infectious smile throughout, Jones looked like he was having the time of his life. Which, when at your own wedding, you probably should.

Offseasons can drag, even the good ones. And with the bulk of the offseason movement now done, things in and around basketball will slow down for the next two months. There are only so many workout montages, over-analysis of cryptic captions, discussions about LeBron James's purported love of helicopters and reminiscing about the likes of James Michael McAdoo and Flip Murray that anyone can stomach before a full-blooded slightly corny wedding dance feels like genuine entertainment.

Miley Cyrus is never one to shy away from a bold, revealing look.
From bikinis to lingerie, the "Flowers" singer, 33, posed in risque photos on the cover of Wonderland's summer 2026 issue.
In the photoshoot, which was shared on Instagram on Monday, July 27, she wears an oversized satin coat jacket from Saint Laurent while shirtless and covering her chest with her crossed arm. Other looks feature the "Hannah Montana" star strutting in a leather jacket while flaunting her tattoos or a one-shoulder ruffle top while slightly revealing more skin.
In another photo, the pop star embraces minimalism as she wears nothing but a Tiffany & Co. necklace and her blonde curls.
She's no stranger to a provocative appearance. At the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, she famously wore a nude-toned two-piece outfit as she twerked on Robin Thicke with a foam finger during a performance of "We Can't Stop" and Thicke's "Blurred Lines. "

In a week where an AI model went rogue and broke out of a secure test environment—and in a year where seemingly all we're hearing is how AI can displace large swaths of the workforce—it may come as a surprise when one of the tech's most prominent voices is pushing an optimistic view of the tech, joining the many in his field who have recently walked back comments of how it could negatively impact workers.
"As we enter this next wave with AI, we continue to believe the future is for everyone," Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote as the caption to a short video on Thursday, harkening back to the company's early years of tech optimism.
"Call us optimists, call us dreamers, call us whatever the ****** you want, but we're betting on people, and we like those odds," the voiceover in the video said.
The video featured montages of people using Instagram, Whatsapp, FaceBook and Meta's Ray-Ban glasses to film touching moments and connect with loved ones, with the backdrop of concerts and snowboarding and laughing children set to calm music as the voiceover framed Meta's AI efforts as doubling down on betting on people, just like the company did 22 years ago with FaceBook.
Marketing experts told Fortune that the Meta video's reliance on nostalgic imagery seemed like a way to redirect attention from AI concerns and to buffer against growing AI fears.

Montaka Global Investments, an investment management company, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter. A copy of the update is available to download here. Montaka manages a concentrated portfolio of high–conviction, long-term, competitively advantaged businesses bought when prices are attractive. While it delivered positive returns in the June quarter, its 12-month performance was largely negative due to declines in the March quarter amid the 'SaaSpocalypse', yet the underlying businesses performed well. Montaka's strategy focuses on owning businesses that grow earnings in large markets, which struggled against short-term bottleneck trades that gained popularity. However, Montaka aims for long-term excess returns above market indices, anticipating that current mispricing will eventually correct. In addition, please check the Strategy's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Montaka Global Investments highlighted Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:MA). Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:MA) is a leading global payment technology company provides transaction processing and other payment-related products and services. On July 22, 2026, Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:MA) closed at $531.98 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $470.05 billion. Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:MA) posted a one-month return of 8.81%, while its shares lost 5.59% over the past 52 weeks.
Montaka Global Investments stated the following regarding Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:MA) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"On the other side of the market are some of the world's highest quality businesses which have been overlooked during the semiconductor–mania.
Take Visa and Mastercard Incorporated (NYSE:MA), for example. Both are extraordinarily advantaged businesses and have consistently grown annual revenues at double–digit percentage rates for many years. And in our view, strong growth will likely continue – driven by new value–added services attached to their payment networks (related to stablecoins, agentic commerce, fraud detection, and other data services) which are growing at even faster rates.

In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Montaka Global Investments highlighted Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:CRM). Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) is a cloud computing company that offers Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology that brings companies and customers together. On July 22, 2026, Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) closed at $163.00 per share. One-month return of Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) was 3.52%, and its shares lost 41.92% over the past 52 weeks. Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) has a market capitalization of $133.5 billion.
Montaka Global Investments stated the following regarding Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"The It's Not About the SaaS: Why the market is wrong about Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:CRM): Since the start of the recent SaaS selloff – which we explored in detail in Montaka's recent whitepaper – Salesforce's share price has halved. The market is now pricing in something like obsolescence for the world's dominant customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
This, in our view, represents a significant investment opportunity. The market's concern is two-fold. First, that AI makes software trivially cheap and easy to build – rendering vendors like Salesforce redundant. Second, that agents don't need software interfaces at all – they can interact directly with data and systems, making seat-based licences obsolete.

At 78, Joe Manchin is stepping back into politics.
A year and a half after leaving office fed up with the major parties, the former West Virginia senator is launching a new effort, the Independent Leadership Council, to recruit and support independent candidates across the country.
"We're not trying to start another party," Manchin told CNN in an interview with his daughter, who's also leading the council. "We're trying to get a person who can be committed to – and totally committed to – being an independent with an independent voice. They can vote with Democrats and Republicans when they're right and speak out against them when they're wrong."
Manchin kicked off the effort Thursday by convening candidates in West Virginia. Attendees include California Rep. Kevin Kiley, a former Republican running for reelection as an independent; Seth Bodnar, an independent candidate for Senate in Montana; and Michael Bridgford, an independent candidate for the House in Iowa. The group is also eying races in Alaska and Washington.
The initiative comes at a time of deepening disillusionment with both major parties, and as a record high 45% of American adults identify as political independents, according to a Gallup poll released earlier this year.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly seeking a €20m-a-year salary to take over as head coach of the Italy national team, and the latest updates indicate that the former Manchester City boss will give a definitive answer by the early stages of next week.
Guardiola left City after 10 trophy-laden seasons earlier this summer and has emerged as one of the dream candidates to take over as the new head coach of the Italy national side. Antonio Conte, Roberto Mancini and Andrea Pirlo are the other names currently being linked with the vacant CT role.
Recently-appointed FIGC technical director Paolo Maldini and advisor Leonardo travelled to Barcelona to hold direct talks with Guardiola last weekend. Thursday’s reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Spaniard wants €20m-per-year to take over as Italy head coach.
FIGC President Giovanni Malagò has recently admitted that the federation would be willing to ‘make exceptions’ for candidates at a certain level, even name-checking the former City and Barcelona tactician, but the Italy national team are unlikely to be able to offer a potential new head coach any more than €10m per season.

Bison that appear to be grazing peacefully are able to accelerate into a terrifying pace, making them among the most dangerous animals in Yellowstone, where one of the giant bovines recently charged at and tossed a grandfather.
Carl McDaniel, 65, suffered multiple bone fractures in the July 10 attack at the national park but lived to tell the tale, as seen in a video he recorded a few days later from his bed at Bozeman Health Deaconess Medical Center in southern Montana.
"He wasn't showing aggression or anything like that until it picked a target. That target happened to be me," McDaniel said in the video posted on Instagram on Saturday.
McDaniel was on a after-dinner stroll with his grandson when the attack happened at Bridge Bay Campground, not far from Yellowstone Lake.
"They move faster than you could ever imagine. He just kept coming," he said. The bison did not connect with McDaniel's grandson, who was not hurt.

The 2026 World Cup took the country by storm over the past six weeks, with Spain taking the ****** le over the weekend by beating the reigning champions, Argentina. Celebrities of all statures were on hand to take in the final, including former Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter.
Hunter was filmed entering New York-New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium) donning a clean No. 10 Lionel Messi jersey. While Hunter might have gone home disappointed with Argentina's loss, he had his typical smile on his face before the game, vibing to the pregame sounds.
The Jacksonville Jaguars star is entering his second year in the NFL after being the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. His rookie season was disappointing overall after it ended with knee surgery following Week 7. Playing both wide receiver and cornerback full time, Hunter seemed to be hitting his stride in the game the injury happened, as he racked up eight receptions for 101 yards and caught his first NFL touchdown.
In 2025, Hunter finished with 28 receptions for 298 yards and one touchdown on offense, along with 15 combined tackles and three passes defended. After recovering from his injury, he bulked up this offseason, hoping to be better prepared for the physicality of the NFL and, specifically, to play both offense and defense.
The Jaguars have a loaded wide receiver room, with Hunter seemingly behind starters Brian Thomas Jr. and Parker Washington and competing with Jakobi Meyers for third-receiver reps. On defense, Hunter is listed as a starting cornerback alongside Montaric Brown.

Winning the Super Bowl MVP is a huge achievement, but Joe Flacco believes the memory matters more than the trophy itself.
“This is my Super Bowl MVP trophy. It’s tarnished as heck,” Ravens former QB Joe Flacco said on Netflix’s Quarterback documentary series, showing a dusty trophy to the camera. ” … These are things you think you’re going to care about a lot, and I guess the idea is, ‘That’d be cool, to have an office and put some things up.’ And then you ultimately don’t care about it. Like this ring. I think my kids like to look at it. I think that’s ultimately what it’s for.”
Joe Flacco was instrumental in the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl XLVII win. He threw for 287 yards and three touchdown passes. All three of those scores came in the first half alone, giving the Ravens a 21-6 lead over the San Francisco 49ers. Four years after Flacco tried and failed to take the Ravens over the line, he’d finally done it.
Flacco didn’t really have it easy getting to the Super Bowl. The Ravens lost four games towards the end of the regular season, causing some in the media to downplay their postseason chances. However, Flacco and Baltimore held their ground. The team advanced through the gauntlet, and the QB scored 11 touchdowns without being intercepted.
In the Wild Card game against the Indianapolis Colts, he threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns. He tied Joe Montana and Kurt Warner for the most touchdown passes in one postseason. His 117.2 passer rating also tied Steve Young for the third-highest by a quarterback during a Super Bowl-winning postseason, per Grantland.

The Kansas City Chiefs count on veteran defensive lineman Chris Jones to generate pressure in the pass rush and can look forward to another productive season from the former Mississippi State Bulldog in 2026.

Sandler hosted, Trump roasted.

The White House went into overdrive on Taylor Swift Friday, posting a meme appropriating the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding at Madison Square Garden.

In an Instagram post Friday evening, the White House parodied the Garden's purple digital billboard of Swift and Kelce's "JUST&T Married" by replacing it with the message "Trump Is Your President," alongside similar text of "It's happened!" which makes sense only if you think about it for fewer than two seconds.

The post follows one from Thursday night in which a collage of all-American images like Iwo Jima and the Miracle on Ice are dominated by an image of Trump, beneath the caption of "America's Eras Tour," parodying Swift's poster for the 2023 concert behemoth; it even included Taylor's "It's a long time coming line" from that barnstorm.

The specter of a wedding on a national holiday seemed to especially rankle a Swift-sensitive White House: The White House also posted two videos to X montage-ing moments in American history by repurposing Swift; one proclaimed "Next in America's Eras Tour" while another touted "America's greatest hits, one era at a time."

Compared to some of the other celebrity tolls Trump has engaged in — just this week he posted an AI video as a doctor treating Julia Roberts and Robert De Niro for "Trump Derangement Syndrome" — this proved to be pretty tame and even had an air of grudging blessing. There's a reason for that.

Running against liberal movie stars is a risk-free bet for the president and an easy score with his base. Going after Swift, however, requires more of a shadowbox for Trump, who knows that plenty of people in swing states where he is backing candidates look up to her and her liberal views, and that a war with her could turn out a vote against him. That's one reason he has said he wished the couple well (but also predicted they would not last).

The choice of July 4 weekend, with icons performing on a grand platform, also, whether intentionally or not, upstages Trump, who wanted something similar for himself with a Freedom 250 concert but saw even musicians like Martina McBride and Bret Michaels — hardly progressive firebrands — drop out because they didn't want to be **** ociated with the partisan celebration.

Meanwhile, Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney take the stage, or plan to, with the country's biggest pop star at the wedding Friday night. And in front of a who's-who of liberal entertainers, in what will be the world's first pop concert to feature a wedding **** ouncement from Billy Madison.

Swift seems to have an unusual ability to get to Trump, free rent, living in his mind. After Trump in 2024 posted a deepfake of Swift endorsing him over Kamala Harris, she clarified she didn't, prompting him to post: "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!"

While she's been largely quiet this term, Swift did step out strongly against Trump during the height of BLM protests in 2020, accusing him of "stoking the fires of

There is no greater barbershop debate than the one deciding the greatest of all time.
Who was the greatest receiver of all time—Jerry Rice or Randy Moss? Who is the greatest basketball player of all time—Michael Jordan or LeBron James? Who is the greatest baseball player of all time—Babe Ruth or Willie Mays? Who is the greatest quarterback of all time—Tom Brady or Joe Montana?
The latter was put to the test in a recent post from an X user on Wednesday. A photograph of eight legendary quarterbacks was posted, and the post asked people to pick the worst quarterback out of the group. The players in the photo include Brady, Montana, Peyton Manning, Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rodgers and Dan Marino.
Brady is probably the safest in the photo considering he is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time. It's hard to beat seven Super Bowl rings, with championships with two different franchises.
Marino is the only quarterback pictured without a Super Bowl ring, but from strictly a passing perspective, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who did it better than the former Miami Dolphin. Arguments can be made for and against every quarterback in the photo.

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, USA TODAY is launching its 250 for 250 series, looking to answer that question by celebrating the best athletes from each state.
From fans' votes, five athletes will be selected to represent the state as legends who have defined high school sports.

Tunisia face the Netherlands at Kansas City Stadium tonight, eliminated from the 2026 World Cup and playing their final group match for nothing beyond pride.
Hervé Renard’s side have conceded nine goals without scoring across their two appearances in North America. A third successive heavy defeat would make them the first side to concede four or more goals in three straight World Cup matches — a record ****** ody wants. Against a Dutch attack that dismantled Sweden 5–1 on matchday two, avoiding that distinction will require a significant defensive improvement.
Renard has no injury concerns and a full squad at his disposal. With nothing at stake in terms of progression, this match also presents an opportunity to ****** s fringe players and build momentum for future campaigns.
Aymen Dahmen is expected to continue in goal, having replaced Abdelmouhib Chamakh for the ****** an fixture. The back three of Dylan Bronn, Montassar Talbi and Omar Rekik is likely to remain intact, with Yan Valery and Ali Abdi as the wing-backs providing width.
Ellyes Skhiri anchors the midfield with his defensive discipline, while Anis Ben Slimane adds creativity in a deeper role.

Hailing from Brockton, AJ Dybantsa was selected number one overall by the Washington Wizards in Tuesday's NBA Draft. He's the first athlete born and raised in Massachusetts to be selected number one overall in any of the four major U.S. sports drafts (NBA, NHL, NFL, and MLB).
Dybantsa, 6'9, 217 pounds, averaged 25.5 points per game this past season with the BYU Cougars. In January, Dybantsa passed Celtics legend Danny Ainge for the most points posted by a BYU freshman in a game, recording 43 points in a 91–78 victory over Utah.
Dybantsa played high school basketball at St. Sebastian's School in Needham. He was offered scholarships from all the top universities, including Boston College, but Dybantsa said he chose BYU to play ball and keep a low profile off the court.
The son of a Jamaican immigrant mother and a father from the Republic of Congo, Dybantsa is the latest athlete produced by the "City of Champions." 80 years ago, heavyweight champion Rocky "the Brockton Blockbuster" Marciano trained at the old fire station on Pleasant Street - a building that had its electrical wiring installed by Thomas Edison. Fellow champion "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler also sculpted his legendary boxing career in Brockton. Both have statutes in the city.
Brockton also produced Ken MacAfee, a 3x All-American tight end who caught passes from Joe Montana at Notre Dame. He was third in voting for the Heisman Trophy in 1977 and won the National ****** le that same year. He played two seasons in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers.
