Grammy nominee Tate McRae is continuing to take heat for her perceived **** ociation with the MAGA movement, after she refused to outright deny the speculation in a recent Variety interview in which she pointed to her support of LGBTQ+ and women's causes and said she thinks it's "pretty obvious" what side of the aisle she stands on.
Tate McRae attends the 2026 Met Gala.
McRae was asked about the **** umption—fueled largely by her rumored relationship with hockey star Jack Hughes and recent collaboration with country singer Morgan Wallen—and responded, "I like to say my piece through organizations I support," reportedly in reference to The Trevor Project, which focuses on suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youth, and the Global Fund for Women, which supports gender equality movements.
McRae, a Forbes 30 Under 30 alumna, said she thinks it's "pretty obvious what kind of person I am and the things I support, and I hope that my fans can see that through the things that I'm putting my energy towards."
The singer has since been slammed for refusing to outright state that she's not affiliated with President Donald Trump's Make American Great Again movement, with online commenters suggesting her silence speaks "volumes."

Tate McRae kept the fashion moments coming long after stepping off the Lollapalooza stage, donning a lace slip micro minidress from Doen. After turning heads in multiple Ludovic de Saint Sernin looks during her performance, the pop star switched gears for an after-hours celebration, slipping into a delicate minidress by Doen while hanging out backstage with The Chainsmokers.
Tate McRae wore the Doen Evra Slip Dress in Sea Salt, a barely-there lace number that perfectly balanced sweet and sultry. It featured thin spaghetti straps, a soft scoop neckline trimmed with scalloped lace, and an all-over floral lace construction.
The piece had a romantic, lingerie-inspired feel. Its body-hugging silhouette skimmed her figure before ending at an ultra-short hemline that rode high on her thighs, making the tiny slip dress feel even more daring.
McRae paired the ivory mini with diamond stud earrings and a minimalistic bracelet, letting the intricate lace remain the focus. She wore her blonde hair in loose, tousled waves and opted for glowing makeup with bronzed skin and glossy lips. Additionally, a black shoulder bag with silver hardware added contrast to the monochrome outfit.
Photos from backstage captured the "Sports Car" singer smiling alongside Alex Pall and Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers after her Lollapalooza set. In another playful snap, McRae was seen holding up a giant bottle of Fireball whiskey while laughing with friends. She embraced the celebratory mood after a successful weekend at the Chicago music festival.

Anya Taylor-Joy says the stability she has found with husband Malcolm McRae has made her more willing to take risks elsewhere in her life.
In a new interview with Elle U.K., the 30-year-old Lucky star described McRae as her best friend and said their marriage has given her a sense of security she never expected to experience.
Taylor-Joy said having a healthy and dependable relationship has emboldened her to accept unfamiliar challenges and move beyond her comfort zone.
Taylor-Joy admitted that finding a lifelong partner had not been something she placed on a personal checklist. "To have a best friend who goes through life with you, it has given me a sense of security that I didn't really ever dream about," she told Elle U.K..
Now that she has that foundation, Taylor-Joy feels more confident about taking professional and personal risks because she knows she has something "nutritive and solid and healthy" waiting for her. "I don't want to sound smug, but I love him so much," she said. She also described their marriage as unusually joyful, estimating that she spends approximately 90% of their time together laughing.

Campbell Roy's ability to read maps is extremely well developed, so he is confident that he will not get lost when he sets out in the Borders this weekend on a 540-mile charity trek.
The former British and Scottish Rally champion co-driver, and veteran of more than 150 rallies, was a navigator for some of the biggest names in rallying, including the late Colin McRae and his dad Jimmy.
Four years Roy struck up a friendship with another Scottish sporting legend, Sir Chris Hoy, who had taken up rally driving after he retired from his illustrious cycling career.
Roy was Hoy's co-driver for the McRae Rally Challenge in 2022 and again in 2025 by which time the Olympic medalist's terminal cancer diagnosis had been made public.
That was when Roy decided to do something to raise awareness of prostate cancer and money for research.
