Armando Rubio fought to get into the United States while his daughter battled a brain bleed. Now, the 90 Day Fiancé star is facing another deadline: his emergency visa expires on August 27, and his husband, Kenny Niedermeier, says the family has been warned not to count on more time.
Kenny told TMZ that Rubio's current humanitarian visa extension will keep him in Phoenix for several more weeks as 13-year-old Hannah continues recovering, but Border Patrol officials reportedly told the family another extension is unlikely. That means Rubio could soon be forced to return to Mexico even as doctors continue trying to determine what caused his daughter's medical emergency.
COMPLEX SHOP: Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Uncover what's next. Buy. Collect. Obsess.
For now, Hannah is back at the family's temporary Phoenix residence and working through rehab to rebuild strength on her right side, along with vision exercises. "Hannah is doing great," Kenny said. "[I am] very proud of her."
The timing makes the situation especially difficult. Hannah's condition has improved, but doctors still don't have a clear explanation for the brain bleed that sent her into intensive care last month.

We've been really looking forward to this afternoon's Chelsea – Real Sociedad friendly.
While the other warmup games in preseason have been more exercises in using who is available and getting players up to speed, today sees new manager Xabi Alonso with the chance to pick from an almost full squad, giving us a chance to understand what he's actually planning.
It's also his last chance, considering the new season is now just a week away.

The question of whether Tony Romo will continue to call NFL games for CBS has somewhat obscured the question of whether CBS will continue to broadcast NFL games.
Like Fox, NBC, Prime Video, and YouTube, the CBS contract runs through 2029, once (as expected) the NFL exercises its prerogative to end the contracts four years early. Unlike the other networks, CBS has undergone a "change in control," which allows the NFL to reopen the current deal.
The NFL already has embarked on active negotiations with CBS, with some reports suggesting the league may seek to ******* p the CBS annual fee from $2.1 billion to $3 billion — effective immediately. More recent reports have pointed to a stall in the negotiations, fueled by legal issues arising from its parent company's effort to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery.
At Tuesday's season-preview press event, CBS Sports president David Berson addressed the situation.
"We're in constant conversation; we have so much business with them on so many other levels," Berson told Drew Lerner of Awful Announcing. "There's nothing to report on this right now, but the relationship is outstanding. We're talking to them every day. I mentioned the viewership success we've had, I mentioned they covet reach so much; CBS is the number one network 17 of the last 18 years . . . so they really value what we provide and we also value what they're providing. So conversations continue, but there's nothing at this stage to talk about."

A call option contract offers its buyer and seller two different roles. The call buyer pays a fee up front for the right to buy shares at a set price, called the strike price, before the contract expires. The call seller, also known as the writer, collects that fee and takes on the obligation to deliver the shares at the set price if the buyer exercises their right.
At expiration, the call buyer comes out ahead only if the stock rises above the strike price by more than the fee paid. The call writer generally wants the stock to finish at or below the strike price, so they keep the full premium collected.
Let's follow an Nvidia call option through its entire life cycle to see exactly what both sides agree to, what they may gain, and what they risk losing.

Pre-season can often feel like a series of disconnected exercises, a scatter of flights, sessions and carefully managed minutes, but for Liverpool this weekend carries a little more weight. AS Monaco's visit to Anfield offers Andoni Iraola his first home game as head coach, and with it the first proper glimpse of how his Liverpool may begin to take shape in front of its own support.
There is, of course, little value in chasing definitive conclusions from early August football. Fitness remains the principal concern, rhythm the secondary one. Yet these occasions matter because they establish tone. They hint at standards. They reveal, in fragments, what a coach wants his team to become. Iraola, returning with his squad from a summer tour of the United States, has made clear that this next phase of Liverpool's preparation is about tightening the weave, bringing players together and nudging the season into focus.
Writing ahead of the game, he said: "I hope you all enjoyed a good summer break, and I hope you are all looking forward to Sunday's game as much as we are." It is the language of welcome, but also of invitation. Liverpool's new head coach understands that management at Anfield is never merely technical. It demands emotional fluency, a sense of collective purpose, and an ability to bind team and crowd into a single, coherent force.
Photo: IMAGO
The trip to the USA appears to have served more than one purpose. It offered Iraola and his staff a chance to absorb the scale of the club, to encounter supporters in different cities, and to begin imprinting ideas on the training ground. Those details matter. Modern coaching is a process of repetition, but also of persuasion. Before a system can thrive, a squad has to understand its tempo, its distances and its obligations.

TeraWulf (NASDAQ: WULF) reported second-quarter revenue of $44.8 million, down 6% from $47.6 million a year earlier. HPC lease revenue came in at $31.9 million, or about 71% of the total, while cryptocurrency revenue declined to $12.8 million from $47.6 million.
The operator recorded a $940.8 million net loss, compared with $18.4 million a year earlier. The quarter included a $755.7 million loss from changes in warrant liability fair values, while adjusted EBITDA moved to an $18.3 million loss from $14.5 million of income.
At the center of TeraWulf's earnings is the 20-year lease with Anthropic covering approximately 401 MW of critical IT capacity at the Justified Data Campus in Hawesville, Kentucky. The contract represents about $19 billion of revenue during its initial term and could reach $33 billion if Anthropic exercises two five-year extensions.
Initial capacity is slated to start coming online in the second half of 2027, with complete delivery anticipated in early 2028. Justified has about 480 MW of gross power capacity, plus an energized onsite substation and existing high-voltage transmission infrastructure.

Distressed investors are, by their nature, optimists. They must be, since they see bargains and opportunities where other investors fear to tread. True to form, recent conversations with a number of distressed players reveal a significant distressed opportunity set in the back half of 2026 in the face of a roaring US equity bull market and a vibrant US economy.
Beginning on a positive note, "the US economy is doing well and isn't likely to turn south in the next six to 12 months," says Jeremy Burton, managing director and portfolio manager at PineBridge Investments. Even the rise of oil prices isn't of great concern for Burton, as he believes that the hit to consumers from rising oil prices in one region of the country will be offset by a healthy oil-and-gas-based economy in another region. As a result, the opportunities are more sector-specific, he believes.
Concurring with Burton's relatively sunny view are Morgan Stanley strategists Vishwas Patka and Joyce Jiang, who, in a recent piece covering their mid-year outlook, said "capex growth and a resilient consumer support a stable macro environment with strong earnings, while attractive yields anchor robust [debt] demand." This bodes well for business growth and equity generally, the pair said.
That health is reflected in the numbers. PitchBook LCD reported on July 1 that the trailing 12-month default rate for the Morningstar LSTA US Leveraged Loan index was only 0.97% by dollar amount and 1.34% by issuer count. The default rate by count, including Liability Management Exercises (LMEs), was 2.77%.
But danger in the leveraged loan index lurks. The index's distress ratio by amount (defined as the share of loans trading below 80 cents on the dollar) rose 34 bps in June, to 6.87%. In fact, the distress ratio has trended higher over the past nine months after plumbing a near-term low of 2.59% in September 2025. The peak for 2026 is 7.23% in March, which was the result of six consecutive monthly increases and marked the highest level since the distress ratio hit 7.36% in December 2022, in the midst of a series of US fed funds rate hikes by the FOMC. Roughly 45% of the debt trading under 80 is in software-related sectors.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., came under fire after claiming the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would "merge parts of our military with the Israel Defense Forces," drawing accusations that she distorted what the legislation actually does.
The fight centers on Section 219 of the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act, a provision that calls for deeper U.S.-Israel defense integration through expanded cooperation on military technology, supply chains, research, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and joint exercises.
On Wednesday, the House passed its version of the FY2027 NDAA in a 219-206 vote, leaving Section 219 intact.
But ahead of the vote, Ocasio-Cortez wrote on X that the NDAA "includes a provision to merge parts of our military with the IDF."

Jul. 13—ROYAL CITY — The Royal Knights held their summer volleyball camp from July 6 to 10 and brought in both new and experienced players to learn more about the sport. Knights Head Coach Melanie Griffin said this camp was a great opportunity for this team as they head closer to the start of the season.
"I feel it was huge for these girls," said Griffin. "They really learned and grew. We worked on some high-level stuff, and I had a young group show up so it was really good for them to see what the game can look like, and I think they felt good."
For the first four days of camp, girls from seventh grade to the upcoming seniors all worked together on a variety of skills and exercises to stay fresh during the offseason. The coach said she feels the girls learned a lot of new things and most importantly learned to play and have fun together.
"That's what the game should be, is fun," said Griffin.
Missy Woodward, one of the upcoming Royal seniors, said she really enjoyed the opportunity to bond with her younger teammates ahead of the fall season.

Real Madrid officially opened preparations for the 2026-27 season on Monday, with José Mourinho leading his first preseason training session since returning to the club.
The day began with the usual medical and fitness examinations at the club's medical facilities before the available members of the squad reported to Real Madrid City for their first workout of the summer.
With many first-team players either still involved in the 2026 FIFA World Cup or only recently returning from international duty, Mourinho worked with a limited group consisting of Andriy Lunin, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, Raúl Asencio, Álvaro Carreras, Eduardo Camavinga, Franco Mastantuono, and Gonzalo García. A number of academy players were also called up to supplement the session.
After an introductory team talk from Mourinho, the squad began with gym work before moving onto the training pitch for activation exercises that combined physical conditioning with ball work.
The session then progressed into high-intensity possession drills under pressure, followed by finishing exercises on small goals. Training concluded with several small-sided matches on reduced-size pitches as Mourinho looked to reintroduce players to competitive game situations after the summer break.

Looksmaxxing influencer Connor Murphy has died after drowning in a lake in Thailand, according to local reports. He was 32.
The Texas-born bodybuilder was known for posting stunts and skits on his social media accounts and his YouTube channel, where he had more than 2.4 million subscribers. He chronicled his looksmaxxing journey — going to extreme lengths to "optimize" his appearance — and gained attention for building out his jawline with sculpting facial exercises. In recent months, however, Murphy sparked concern from fans by sharing erratic videos in which he dressed as a wizard and claimed to see hallucinations.
Local Thai outlets, the Bangkok Post and Thai Rath, report that Murphy drowned Tuesday night after he jumped into a lake near where he was staying in Samut Prakan, a province just south of Bangkok. Police told the Bangkok Post that Murphy had hired a driver to take him to his luxury rental home, but began behaving strangely and offered the driver money before rolling around on the road.
When authorities arrived on the scene, Murphy reportedly became frantic and ran away from officers before jumping into the nearby body of water.
The fitness vlogger swam until he appeared to become tired and slipped under the water, witnesses said. Rescue divers searched for about 30 minutes before they recovered his body about 65 feet from the shore.

WASHINGTON, July 6 (Reuters) - The U.S. cyber defense agency CISA is using Anthropic's AI model Mythos to audit government software, three people familiar with the matter said on Monday, another sign of government enthusiasm for adopting the AI startup's tools even as the company navigates an ongoing standoff with the White House.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is using Mythos to scan government code repositories for bugs that could leave the door open for foreign spies and cybercriminals, the sources said.
Anthropic did not respond to questions about the initiative. A CISA representative said last month that he would check to see if there was anything to share about the matter but did not respond to further emails.
The scanning is being done by CISA's Attack Surface Evaluation team, according to one of the sources. The team is a group within CISA that conducts digital security ***** sments and hacking exercises across government.

Ageu was signed after impressing on loan from Portuguese top-flight club Santa Clara as he helped second-tier Alverca win promotion with 11 goal contributions.

The time when NBA teams can start officially making offers to free agents on other teams is getting very close. The Los Angeles Lakers want to upgrade at the center position, and there are multiple routes they can go down in order to achieve that objective.
They can try to obtain a better starting center than Deandre Ayton, but if Ayton exercises his player option for next season, they could also look to acquire a better backup. As far as the second route, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype wrote in a recent article that the Lakers are expected to have interest in Jock Landale, a center who is currently with the Atlanta Hawks.
"Landale, 30, is expected to have a strong market, including interest from the Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Cleveland Cavaliers, league sources told HoopsHype. Expect the Australian center to command offers north of the bi-annual exception in free agency."
Landale, who went undrafted in 2018 out of Saint Mary's College and didn't make his NBA debut until the 2021-22 season, finally blossomed into a serviceable player this season. He averaged 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds in 22.1 minutes a game, and he expanded his game by making 38.3% of his 2.8 3-point attempts a game.
He made $2.3 million this season, and the bi-annual exception is expected to be worth around $5.5 million, so perhaps he could be gettable at an inexpensive price point for the Lakers.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is using the offseason to recover from an Achilles tear sustained earlier this year. The latest insight into his recovery was shared by his wife, Claire.
On Saturday, Claire shared a video on Instagram, showcasing the 49ers’ tight end doing some side-to-side exercises and covering some distance horizontally. These are good signs for the Niners, who are hoping to get the TE ready to go by November.
Claire also wrote “5 months” in the overlay message, marking the time since the injury occurred during the NFC wild-card game against the Philadelphia Eagles on January 11.
Kittle suffered a torn right Achilles tendon in the playoff game against the Eagles. It happened in the second quarter, right after he caught a reception. He described the injury as feeling “like someone put a shotgun up against my calf and pulled the trigger.”
Kittle had his surgery performed by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache. The tight end’s Achilles tendon was high up near the soleus muscle. Notably, it was a clean tear and did not require drilling into the heel bone.

With his imposing physique and towering height of 1.93 metres, Jean-Philippe Mateta (28) is not the sort to go unnoticed on the pitch. A striker often labelled as 'old-school', which sets the tone in a modern game of football increasingly focused on excessive intensity. To make his mark, the Crystal Palace player has therefore had to adapt.
Which he has managed to do perfectly, revealing a far more well-rounded profile than the mere 'fixed point' that some people imagine players of his type to be. In an interview with L'Équipe, Mateta revealed how he worked to develop the mobility and pace that have now enabled him to become a leading Premier League striker, whilst brushing aside the preconceptions **** ociated with his physique.
"We have to adapt to what football has become. The first player I saw doing that was Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He's tall, agile, and he draws everyone in," explains the former Olympique Lyonnais player. "I also watch what (Victor) Wembanyama does in basketball because he's very tall (2.24 m). I do a lot of exercises to work on that agility, such as stretching, core training and yoga. It's also important for us to work on our backs."
It's been a long-term endeavour, but one that finally paid off for Mateta this summer when he was named among the 26-man squad selected by Didier Deschamps for the World Cup. The very definition of giving yourself the means to achieve your ambitions.

TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — China's newest and most powerful of its three aircraft carriers sailed through the Taiwan Strait on Tuesday, the Taiwanese defense ministry said, a day after Taiwan began a five-day military exercise on responding to a Chinese attack.
The Fujian carrier first sailed through the narrow body of water separating China and Taiwan in a trial run last September. It later transited the strait for the first time as a fully commissioned military vessel in December.
China claims the self-governed island as part of its territory and has not ruled out the use of force to bring it under Beijing's control. China regularly sends navy vessels and war planes towards Taiwan in military exercises that have become more frequent in recent years to where they now occur almost daily.
Taiwan on Monday kicked off its own five-day exercise to support its response in case of a possible Chinese military invasion.
The U.S. Navy sends warships through the strait periodically, as do some of its allies, in a warning to Beijing against any attempt to use force to establish its claim to the island.

Serge Gnabry, who missed out on Germany's World Cup squad through injury, has taken another step on his road to recovery by completing an individual training session at club Bayern Munich.
The 30-year-old suffered a torn adductor muscle in his right thigh in mid-April. On Tuesday, he did some running and mobility exercises, while even working with the ball under the supervision of rehabilitation coach Simon Martinello, the club said.
Bayern begin pre-season training in a month, the day after the World Cup final on July 19. Most World Cup participants will be given extra holiday and can join up with Bayern at a later date.
The German double winners visit South Korea and Hong Kong on their pre-season tour August 1-8 before returning to competitive action in the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup against Borussia Dortmund on August 22.

When you're in the process of saving for retirement, it's natural to keep tabs on your 401(k) balance. Once retirement gets closer, you may start to fixate on the number you see on the screen, whether it's $500,000, $1 million, or more.
When you look at that number, you might take comfort in the fact that it's pretty large. But your 401(k) balance doesn't tell the whole story.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
What actually matters more than your balance is the amount of income your retirement savings can provide each year. It's crucial that you figure out what that number is before you stop working.
Once you retire, you're not going to empty your 401(k) in a single year (or, at least, you really shouldn't). Rather, you might need that money to last 15 years, 20 years, or longer. That's why translating your 401(k) balance into annual retirement income can be one of the most valuable exercises you do before leaving the workforce.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Cooper Pratt has reached the major leagues 2 ½ months after the Milwaukee Brewers signed the shortstop prospect to an eight-year, $50.75 million contract.
The Brewers called the 21-year-old Pratt up from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday before opening a three-game series with the Cleveland Guardians. They made room for Pratt by designating third baseman Luis Rengifo for ***** ignment.
Brewers officials showed their faith in Pratt when they signed him on April 3 to an eight-year deal that includes club options for 2034 and 2035. The $50.75 million contract includes escalators that could raise the value by $10 million if he repeatedly finishes high in MVP voting and the team exercises those two options.
Pratt won a Gold Glove as the top shortstop in the minor leagues in 2024 and has continued to play outstanding defense ever since. His hitting is more of a work in progress.
Pratt was hitting .241 with a .349 on-base percentage, six homers, 32 RBIs and 17 steals in 58 games with Triple-A Nashville this season. He batted .238 with a .343 on-base percentage, eight homers, 62 RBIs and 31 steals in 120 games with Double-A Biloxi last year.
